Okay wait
.
Mari “escapes” Ben and is able to grab the spray on the way out. (Or maybe that is HOW she gets away) She runs through the woods until she comes across Shauna and Melissa going at it. Shauna spots her and goes after her and Mari sprays her. They get her back where Melissa takes care of her
boom Jackie, as I said above.
Yellowjackets S3 Thought....
Okay so they showed the bear spray for a reason when Coach Ben was looking through that box and we see Mari maybe spraying something at someone in the teasers....we have also seen Shauna's eyes up close looking swollen.
So, Mari sprays Shauna (either on purpose or maybe she "escapes" Ben and Shauna finds her in the woods?) They get Shauna back to their little homestead and of course Melissa will be taking care of her girl.
Would that be when we get a little Jackie/Shauna wilderness hallucination??? Shauna can't see or at the very least as incredibly impaired vision...easier to imagine in the moment. Maybe I've been in fanfiction land for too long...

Whispers in the Wilderness
The sun hung high in the sky, casting dappled light through the dense canopy of trees, a bittersweet reminder of the warmth and hope that had once filled Shauna's heart. The secluded area in the woods felt like a temporary refuge, amplifying the sting of her solitude as Shauna hid from the empathetic gaze of the other survivors. Shauna walked over to the small grave and tilted her head in confusion. Three flowers, stark symbols of her grief, were placed on the stone atop her newborn's grave, igniting a flicker of anger that welled within her.
The flicker of anger surged within her, a visceral response to the encroaching reminder of her grief, as she spun to look around, scanning the surrounding forest for any sign of intrusion. Her heart pounded, a mix of grief and fury burning within her.
She paused for a moment, letting the weight of her loss settle in. The flowers were a reminder of what she had lost, and the anger surged anew, a tempest threatening to consume her.
She pulled her knife from her back pocket, at this point, just an extension of her arm. As she took a deep breath to steady herself, the sound of rustling leaves jolted her from her thoughts, igniting a rush of protective instincts from earlier rage.
How dare someone intrude on this place. This was her place of peace, a refuge from the chaos of the wilderness around them. Sacred and private, just for her and her child.
“Get out here,” She called in the direction of the sound. Emerging from the brush, Melissa approached cautiously, her expression one of understanding and concern, and with a little spark of pride Shauna noticed a hint of fear.
“Hey,” Melissa said evenly. “I’m sorry-I didn’t like, follow you this morning. I-just-was really scared and then I couldn’t sleep. I happened to see you going somewhere and I thought, Melissa it’s crazy out there you should probably keep an eye on each other.”
As Melissa rambled, Shauna moved closer, her eyes locked in on the blonde. With a fierce grip on her knife, she advanced on Melissa, the anger that simmered within now boiling over, intent on defending her child's memory.
“No one has any right to my baby,” Shauna’s voice was so calm and even, it sent a shiver through Melissa. Why couldn’t they understand? Shauna’s heart raced, torn between the urge to protect her child’s memory and the overwhelming loneliness that haunted her. Every instinct in Melissa’s body screamed to run, her heart racing as she faced Shauna. Melissa felt like prey, cornered before an apex predator, the tension thick as she faced Shauna.
Shauna’s movements grew more primal, her breath coming in sharp bursts as she backed Melissa against the rough bark of a large tree. As Shauna closed in, Melissa could feel a primal dread rising within her—a chilling awareness of just how vulnerable she truly was. Melissa couldn’t hide her heavy breathing as she tried to figure out her next move while not looking away. In the wild, looking away when approached by a predator is a sure way to die.
“He’s my baby.” Shauna almost growled, the distance between them so close now that Melissa knew she was no longer in control of her fate. All she could do was try to calm down Shauna.
“Oh, no I agree.” Melissa stammered, trying to stamp down the fear in her voice. “I’m sorry for everything that’s happened
.to you. Um, you are just so-uh-resilient and that’s so important out here.” Melissa's voice trembled slightly as she spoke, her hands unconsciously wringing together. Shauna's glare felt like a physical weight, and Melissa's throat went dry under the intensity of that gaze. She pivoted, without even thinking of how dangerous her next words would be.
“Everyone’s scared of you, you know.” Melissa gave a small smile and took a short breath. “But, I’m not.”
There was no time to react. Shauna was on her, the cool metal against her neck a stark reminder of the danger. Yet, in that moment, Melissa could see the vulnerability beneath Shauna's anger—a wild, unrestrained spirit seeking connection and comfort, even as she threatened to tear everything apart.
Melissa’s breathing hitched before coming out in deep heaves. She could pretend as much as she wanted that she wasn’t terrified of Shauna, but both of them knew the truth. Shauna was a timebomb and it appeared the time was right for an explosion.
“If you tell anyone this I will fucking kill you,” Shauna’s face contorted into a mask of animalistic rage. She had Melissa pinned and helpless, it was almost intoxicating how much power she could wield against her former teammates. “I will kill you and I will gut your little fucking-”
Shauna’s words were lost to the wilderness as Melissa’s lips crashed against her own. Caught off guard for the first time, Shauna felt her wild mix of emotions collide, an intoxicating blend of desire and unresolved rage swirling within her. The pressure of Melissa’s lips against her own, the closeness and warmth of her body, the incredible tension she felt as the knife was still flush up against her tender skin. Now, this, this was intoxicating.
Melissa pulled back, a look of shock mirrored on her face from the sudden intimate connection. This was not how she had planned to let Shauna know she had grown fond of her, but if it meant staying alive another day, it would do just fine.
There were a few beats that crackled with fierce energy between them before Shauna rushed forward and captured Melissa’s lips in another deep kiss. This time neither pulled away and Shauna took control.
Melissa felt the knife bite slightly into her skin as Shauna’s fist tangled in the collar of her shirt. She didn’t care, it almost intensified the sensation of finally feeling Shauna’s lips pressing against her own.
Shauna forced her body closer, driving her thigh between Melissa’s legs with a commanding assertiveness. Melissa moaned against Shauna’s lips at the sensation that felt like it was moving like electricity through her entire body. Shauna finally tossed the knife aside, letting it clatter on the hard earth beside them.
“What are you hungry for?” a voice whispered into Shauna’s ear, blending seamlessly with the whispering wind in the trees around them.
Shauna pulled back and opened her eyes, her heart pounding. The face in front of her wasn’t supposed to be here, not now, not ever. It wasn’t blue eyes staring back at her—it was Jackie’s familiar brown eyes, piercing and alive.
Jackie smirked at Shauna, her smile filled with that old mischievousness, and pulled her back in for a deep kiss. Shauna felt like the breath had been completely taken from her lungs, her mind reeling. She knew it was impossible, yet here Jackie was—an illusion, a figment of the wilderness, but unmistakably Jackie.
Shauna let herself go, falling into the black hole of whatever the wilderness was doing to her mind. Her heart ached with the memories of the times she had longed for Jackie, yearned for her touch, but had never acted on it. And now, through Melissa, it was as if the wilderness had granted her a twisted fantasy. If she was going insane, at least she would have Jackie finally and completely, the way it always should have been.
Shauna reached down and unbuttoned Melissa's denim shorts, sliding her hand under the barrier. Her fingers danced over the damp cloth.. As she heard Jackie's deep, resonant moan, it flowed through Shauna, sending shivers down her spine and settling at her core, tingling with a vibrant energy.
Shauna pulled back again and now looked into icy blue eyes. Melissa was standing in front of her, mouth slightly agape and face flushed with passion. Shauna shook her head trying to bring Jackie back, as her fingers brushed against a sensitive spot and Melissa gasped sharply and closed her eyes, leaning her head against the rough bark of the tree. "Please keep going.." Melissa begged breathlessly.
"Shut up." Shauna commanded, leaning in and kissing Melissa once again. As their lips met, a surge of emotions flooded Shauna, longing, despair, and regret. The kiss melted into something wild and frantic, igniting memories of stolen moments with Jackie—laughter, shared secrets at sleepovers, and the bittersweet taste of what could never be. Yet, here was Melissa, a tangible warmth against the cold bite of her grief.
Shauna pulled back slightly, breathless, her mind racing. In the shadows, Jackie’s presence still lingered, flickering like a candle’s flame—a reminder of love never claimed. As she searched for the right words, the need for comfort overwhelmed her, and she leaned back toward Melissa, drawn in by an invisible thread. Their lips collided again, the warmth igniting a wild mix of emotions within Shauna.
Each tender touch felt oddly infused with the spirit of Jackie, memories crashing over her like waves, stirring a longing she couldn’t suppress. Shauna’s heart raced and head spun, she murmured Jackie’s name, the syllables barely escaping her lips as a warm tear slipped down her cheek.
Melissa felt a sharp pang of confusion and hurt at the unexpected mention. She pulled back slightly, searching Shauna’s eyes for clarity. “Do you still see her? Like when you talked to her?” Melissa asked, her voice a mixture of vulnerability and determination, the questions hanging heavy between them. Shauna saw the pain in Melissa’s expression, and quickly wiped the tear away from her cheek. Shauna felt the walls coming back up. Jackie, just like her baby, was for her only and no one deserved answers to her pain. But, she knew that she needed to say something to keep Jackie with her in anyway that she could. If this was a game, Shauna would play it.
“Please, just let me feel something,” Shauna whispered, leaning in again, desperate as she sought more time with Jackie. The kiss transformed, becoming an attempt to bridge the gap not just between two women, but between a past that refused to let go and a future that seemed uncertain.

This is now going on 10 YEARS AGO!! How?!?! When?!?! Why?!?! She was still the sweetest human, had sharpie on her face, and made sure to have a solid connection (eye contact and quick few words) with everyone that was waiting. That is until she was literally pulled off stage lol
One of the millions of reasons I will ALWAYS be a fan of this woman is you can just feel the genuine and kind nature that comes from her. Amazing...god why am I going down this rabbit hole?!?!?!

Clexa prompt for “a lady came out of the lake and gave me these boots. I thought the myth involved a weapon of some sort?”
The mist clung to the surface of the lake like a shroud, curling around Clarke’s ankles as she stood at the water’s edge. The early morning air was sharp, cutting through the heavy silence that had settled over the forest.
Clarke would never be awake this early, but Raven had dared her, after a night of one too many stiff drinks, to walk to the water a summon a warrior to help her in her next journey on the ground. She spoke the words, though some didn't make sense to her and waited.
A figure emerged. Clarke’s breath hitched as the woman stepped onto the shore, water rolling off her armor in shimmering rivulets. Her dark hair was slicked back, revealing piercing green eyes that locked onto Clarke with unsettling certainty. Lexa. Clarke’s throat went dry. It wasn’t possible. “You came,” Lexa said simply and loving smile curling the corners of her lips, her voice as steady as Clarke remembered. As if she hadn’t walked out of Clarke’s life and into the stories whispered in hushed tones by the fire. Clarke willed herself to speak, but her words caught in her chest. The water lapped at the shore behind Lexa, as if the lake itself had carried her here. A legend made flesh. Lexa reached into the satchel at her waist and pulled something free. Clarke's breath hitched, unsure of what to expect in this moment that felt like a dream. Instead, Lexa held out
boots. Clarke blinked. “I thought maybe you would bring me something to fight. A sword or maybe a staff?" Lexa raised a brow, the corner of her mouth twitching as if she found Clarke’s confusion amusing. “Weapons are meaningless without the strength to wield them. You have walked too long on unsteady ground. Take these, and stand firm.” Clarke swallowed hard, staring at the worn leather, the laces carefully tied. They looked
normal. Not enchanted, not relics of some lost warrior. Just boots. Lexa stepped closer, lowering her voice. “You think I came back to give you a sword? To push you into another fight?” She shook her head. “You do not need a war to prove who you are, Clarke.” Clarke exhaled sharply, her fingers brushing against Lexa’s as she accepted the boots. “Then why are you here?” Lexa held her gaze, her expression softening. “Because you called for me.” Clarke didn’t remember speaking Lexa’s name, but maybe she hadn’t needed to. Maybe some part of her had been calling out all along. She clenched the boots in her hands, feeling their weight. Solid. Real. Just like the woman standing before her. Maybe this time, she wouldn’t let her slip away.
