in trying to process all my thoughts about veilguard into words it has just hit me that we never find out how solas cleansed the blight from the dagger

the lyrium dagger. the huge plot device that doubles as a gameplay mechanic. that was once the red lyrium idol from da2. that's now completely blight free, something that's supposed to be impossible. and it's not just that we don't find out, we can't even ask about it! ever! we've got proof the blight can be cured hanging from our hip and apparently it never occurs to us to ask about it! we get one throw away line from varric about how it used to be the idol and that's it!

like how do you write a whole game with the blight/blighted gods being front and centre and never answer that I'm bamboozled
