#i'm so frustrated i've just wanted to come home for several days and now i'm here and it's just one problem after another #i had to leave a window open because of the heatwave that was fully 8 days ago because i wasn't gonna be home in the meantime #and apparently they mulched the yard during that time and it blew in the window and got all over the room. which i haven't cleaned yet #also i discovered today that when i flush the toilet it spurts water all over the floor!#and i'm already so tired and sad and i don't have the bandwidth to deal with anything #this toilet thing is an urgent problem but i'm not going to call the emergency hotline right now because they'll just make me stay #up all night waiting for them and i'm already so tired i'm crying from tiredness #so i'm just gonna try not to flush the toilet anymore but like. i just wanted to be home where it's calm and familiar #and now i have to stress about flushing the toilet and have strangers in here (best case scenario anyway. worst case is they #ignore me and don't fix the problem) and probably still be tired because i'm going to be too anxious to sleep well #i'm just so TIRED i just want to REST #and i was texting my friend about it and LOST SERVICE in the middle which has never happened before in my apartment #that was the final straw and now i'm just sitting here weeping feeling sorry for myself #i hate this fucking property management company why can't they just keep their units habitable

#they brought home a job app for me for a hibachi place #i am pretty happy with doing my cleaning + art tho and i don't really want to do anything culinary or food service related #i'd rather just get more hours again cleaning :/ idk i'll think about it but i don't handle time-pressure well #cleaning is good for me because as long as i accomplish the tasks i am okay and i can do them in any order i want #anyway i have to be careful though because if i go too long without 'working enough' for their tastes they start taking furniture out of #my room lol #thankfully i finally was able to buy most of my own furniture though during my job so the only things they could take now are like #the tv bookcase and fan #i guess they could take the computer too but they gave that to me years ago so it would be kinda weird if they did #i am a grown ass man but i'm probably not gonna be free from this shit until i can finally move out #gahhh it is what it is #i'm gonna text my boss on monday and see if there's any open buildings i could take for at least another day of work #if not then i'll pick up something random i guess #but i honestly like having more time/energy to work on my art even though being home more sometimes sucks #i might try to do longer days to make up for it?#idk. lots to think about.

its important to me that you know that you can wash all your clothes together as long as you have a laundry bag for undergarments, wash it in cold water, and use a color grabber sheet thingy, use vinegar baking soda detergent and tea tree oil. then hang all of it up (only use a dryer for undergarments, air drying makes more sustainable clothes that last longer), and it should be done within 24 hours

Working in the service industry is so fucking degrading.

I'm paid minimum wage to clean up other people's mess in hotel rooms and it's so bad. Sure some customers are decent and put the rubbish in the bin and an even fewer number in that some are so kind they strip the bed before they leave but most are vile because

urrrdurr someone will clean it up. It gives you a job to do you should be grateful fjfjdjskd

I'm not grateful for cleaning up a maccies bag worth of chicken nuggs from under a bed. How can I be grateful that you took 2 bites of a 12 piece and decided to throw the rest on the floor, leave it there all night and use your sheets as a napkin.

And don't say "damm people live like that" because NO THEY DO NOT THAT'S EXACTLY WHY THEY'RE DOING IT IN A HOTEL ROOM

Found this cleaning job on indeed that pays pretty well omg. The other job is taking too long to get back to me (I think it’s because of my sister actually since they hated her back when she worked there ToT… and of course they’d recognize my last name…)

#I just don’t have a car… but on the page it mentioned that it’s okay if you take public transportation #they also give employees free home cleaning services what the hell #I wonder if it’s monthly…#they’ll just come out to your house and do their thing… awesome my mom would love that #cleaning jobs are tiresome but there’s is sm money to be made there and it’s nice to know that you’re making someone else’s environment #comfortable especially if they aren’t able to do so for themselves #and anything that has to do with sanitation is definitely backbreaking but it’s humbling as well and also #moneyyyy #maybe I should apply #no weekends #it looks like they only have day shifts #there’s a $100 sign on bonus idk if the training is paid it might be #they offer #reimbursement for your travels #for if you drive or take public transportation #and they’ll have everything that you’ll need for work #I think they give out uniforms as well #you also get to keep the tips you get… whaaa

i am too mentally exhausted to even deal with this shit anymore with my mom and grandma and low key wish i'd go comatose for a few years to be left alone tbh

#had a clean up service come by to see the damage and give a quote on the estimate and my grandma wasnt having it #she got upset and started crying to them about she has only 1 daughter and is trying to help her and they're trying to tell her that keepin #all that junk isn't gonna be helping anyone especially my mom but she wasn't getting it and i said i'm not helping clean the junk that's #all around the house cuz i'm tired of it all and having to manage my emotions since i am for sure emtotionally stunted from my childhood #and have to deal with a schitzophrenic mom and an absent sister who's balls deep in denial while i'm struggling to find a job here #and my grandma always stressing me ot saying she's gonna kick me out isn't fucking helping here at all like she thinks it does #so when they left she spent all day sobbing on the phone how i'm a terrible granddaughter who wants to throw out good stuff #when i'm not gonna keep helping sell shit for my mom cuz my sister can do it as her family contribution since she did nothing since dad die #and the thing is i gave them all options on clearing shit out cuz i know this family by now and shit doesn't get tossed but it migrates #cuz i said months ago i can ask some friends if they could come down and help sort and declutter #grandma said no to that and said she'll kick me out if i do it and she didn't want to pay for my mom's shit to get moved into a storage uni #she leaves the clean up to my mom and i think the backyard got worse but she didn't call anyone to throw out the junk like she threatened t #so i call a fucking hoarders clean up service cuz that's what my family is on my mom's side at this point and the city will be called too #and she has this reaction cries all day and calls everyone to say i'm horrible and yells at me saying i'm the one killing her with stress #when she's already been doing that for months to herself when i'm just tired and possibly mildly depressed or something idk #i barely leave my room and don't go outside except to walk my dog but idk cuz my family's attittude was we don't go to doctors cuz #cuz they're for crazy people but of course it's gotta switch up for my mom and no one else and i'm just sick of it all #grandma doesn't accept free help and she won't accept help that i pay for myself with my money set aside for school so i'm done #unlike her when i say i'll do something i stick to it so i'm not doing shit anymore unless i can call a friend to help with this mess #it's gonna sound like such a horrible thing but i can't wait for my family to die so i can live in a clean home again and get help #like deep serious help cleaning and big time grief councelling cuz i barely had time to process my dad's death and being the one to find hi #and that was just this february like god i am going to need so much fucking therapy in my future it's almost rediculous #and probably say screw my mom's side and visit my dad's side a lot more since they seem to be the normal ones in this shit family tree #at least they're not stupid and leave junk everywhere where one neighbour getting sick of not being able to sit outside and enjoy their yar #without mountains of junk staring them right in the face and landing a notice from the city to clean up especially since #we have chainlink fences and at least 7 neighbours can see the backyard and everyone can see the front porch when passing by #i'm just tired of living in these suffocating households and even wanna file a report myself to kick them into gear #its horrible living like this and no one should live surrounded by junk and things they never use or even garbage

Okay. Imma complain about my disability for a hot minute.

I like to call it "too-bendy-slippery-joints disease", sometimes "bird bones". But usually it's my knees and ankles that are the ones that decide to slip out of their joints and either break, make me fall down, hurt real bad until I manually pop them back in, etc. Wrist and elbows and sometimes shoulders and hips too. You get the idea.

WELL, I've been having a real rough mental go of it too because can't just have one problem. And today is the first time in WEEKS I felt semi-good. I bought some new things to redecorate my bathroom a little bit. Got some new kitchen stuff. Felt motivated to finally clean my house, dropped off my laundry, lwft my house TWICE today, AND I deep cleaned the bathroom before I decorated.

I *just* finished the bathroom, and I was about to go freshen up another room and change my cat's litter when suddenly my fucking knee came out of it's joint, and because I was carrying the new 35lb litter bin, it caused my hip to also slip (which RARELY happens). I got my hip back in real quick, but apparently too quick because then a muscle in my lower back got pulled. So now I have to sit down (which hurts) and try to wait it out before I can keep doing what I wanted to do: finally fucking clean and organize my house.

I'm just so frustrated because I was finally doing better mentally, whereas I could get my house back in working order after WEEKS of mess, but noooooooooooooooo. I can't bend down. I can't pick stuff up. I can't do anything but wait to see if medicine will kick in and see if I can ease back into light physical activity.

Idk sometimes it feels like I can't win. If it isn't one thing, it's another. Usually, I don't mind being disabled. I just boop and bop around as I can. But right now, I wish I wasn't.

#This is all probably being made worse too because literally a week ago I dealt with outwright ableism and hate #I mainly just shrugged it off #I was worrying with other bigger things #But maybe it's finally hitting me #Because this does not feel good #When I get this big check I'm waiting for I'm gonna hire a cleaning service #I feel like I just need a fresh start #Woof #I almost went to Home Depot to get paint to paint a room today too #Glad I didn't #Because there ain't no way I could tape and paint a wall #Let alone a room

Part of the frustration is knowing that, if I’d gone with the assumption that “between 8am and 1pm” meant closer to noon, the plumber would have been here at 7:55am at the latest.

But because I decided to be ready nice and early, it’s currently 11:30 and I haven’t heard a peep.

#ya can’t win #plumbers #any home service really #the really frustrating thing is I can’t do much cooking #because my garbage disposal is broken #and the sink backs up #and the dishwasher will flood the counter #so if I cook #I have to clean up #which means handwashing with half a sink #LUCKILY i did not do what my mom suggested #and have a single-basin sink put in #i like being able to divide it thanks #at least i can still wash dishes in the non-disposal side.
