things between you and clarisse evolved rather slowly and naturally, with you two sparing together a few times and slowly becoming friends

and during a training session, the two of you decided that the loser would have to buy the winner a dinner!

in the end, it didn't even matter who won. but that dinner you ended up eating together became your first date of many

for a while, you were stuck in a phase were you didn't know if you were friends or more, until clarisse had enough of it and finally asked you to make up your mind!

since then, you've been dating! and while most campers had already noticed by then that you had gotten rather close, percy still remained oblivious

when you finally confesses to your brother that you had a girlfriend, he was supportive at first, until you mentioned clarisse's name

it's not like percy hated her or didn't want you to be happy, but… it was honestly just shocking to hear she was your type! truly, it came out of nowhere for him!

of course, percy is happy that you found someone, but he also makes it clear from the start to not invite clarisse over to your cabin, while he's around!

while he loves you and wants you to be happy, percy really doesn't want to see his sibling be all blushy and crushy with clarisse of all people!

he'd rather just keep the image of the badass warrior in his mind instead and leaves you two alone when things get romantic!

I like Silena Beauraeguard.

I know not everyone belive she was a hero, and I don't disagree.

She wasn't a hero. As much as her sacrifice saved so many demigods and I know they wouldn't have won the war without her, I'm awere that if she would have said "no" to Luke the demigods might would've had more time to get ready.

But, at least at first, Luke didn't ask her to betray everyone she loved. Luke simply asked a friend for help.

And yes, it deteriorated from there, but she was faced with an impossible choises. She had to choose either her boyfriend, her old friend and safety from the inevitable war, or her home, friends, and family.

I know many people think this is an easy choise, but I'm pretty sure she was like 16/17 when she died.

Would you let you 16 years old sibling/cousin/kid make that decision?

i know that ruegard (silena/clarisse) is tragic by itself, so for your sake, don’t think of silena. don’t think of silena falling in love with her opposite. don’t think of silena denying it, saying that she couldn’t love clarisse because that’s just not plausible. don’t think of silena forcing her feelings back and passing them on as something different, something smaller and less intense. because, she just couldn’t be in love with clarisse, that’s insane.

and, whatever you do, don’t think of clarisse. don’t think of clarisse fully and entirely loving silena, and knowing it, but being ruled by fear. fear of her father. fear of her siblings and the camp. what would they say? what would they think? don’t think of clarisse, who never got the three words off her chest.

see, thing is, achilles and patroclus loved each other openly. silena and clarisse loved each other in silence.
