Depending on how it's shown & stuff, it's NOT a bury your gays trope. If he shows them meeting, becoming friends & finnally getting together, like any normal romance, and have the ending be that she dies, that's not bury your gays.

Bury your gays is being told about a gay character who had a partner but you never see them because their already dead. And then you quickly kill off the other queer character.

The last of us is a good example of what I mean.

Anyways yeah, also the Charles beckendorf stuff. How do we deal with that? Easy, make it poly. It makes sense and is an easy fix. Plus wouldn't silena want to give as much love as she can? So choose both, that's an option.
