The Contemporary Jewish Museum’s main building is the former Pacific Gas & Electric Jessie Street Substation, which was originally built in 1881 and was rebuilt in 1907 by Willis Polk after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 6, 1974.

I:E 2 - The Isserea Team and Nemesis
The Isserea Team were originally a group of six people formed to combat evil, a knock-off Avengers if you will. It consisted of the following: Jayde; his brother Lotus(he/him); and their 4 closet friends; Nightingale Atreus(he/him), Striker Glacè(she/her), Lissuli Urasil(she/her) and Kevin Delta(he/him).
Soon after their creation, Brain decided that Lissuli and Kevin should be openly dating and not long after, Lotus and Striker started (and then promptly tried to hide the fact that they were) having feelings for each other.
It was a while before I decided that Jayde and Nightingale should start dating to make the Isserea Team seem more ‘complete’. It should also be noted that Jayde and Nightingale are the first LGBTQ+ OC’s of mine, and have set the precedent for almost all characters being part of the community (unfortunately homophobia is still present).
Because time jumps are confusing frequent and frequently confusing, no characters of mine have set ages, only life stages and their general position on the timeline. One exception of this is Jayde and Nightingale, as it is definitive that Nightingale is 2 years older than Jayde, resulting in Jayde also seeing as Nightingale a form of older brother.
It should be noted that at this point, Jayde and Lotus were based upon myself and my brother, so Jayde is the older sibling.

NEMESIS is the organisation that ‘Isserea’s IT Department’ (as they sometimes call themselves) was formed to combat. Led by Klieo Hunter and his coworkers who at this point include: Stalk and Swiper Tangle (both he/him); Viper Punk(she/them) and Kyle Daemos(he/it). NEMESIS don’t cause too many problems and they aren’t that big of a threat. They are the classic trope of recurring villain where Villain is always defeated by Hero, but Villain is always back to it in the next instalment (kind of like the relationship between Perry the Platypus and Dr Doofenshmirtz in Phineas and Ferb)
For some unknown reason (literally, because I haven't thought of one yet), Klieo hates the Storm bloodline and wants to remove them from the throne, and take over the world (whatever that means). There isn't much else to add here because the IT/NEMESIS conflict was never something that I focused on, despite it being the first real story arc I made. Maybe I'll do something else with them in the future (definitely not foreshadowing).
I guess that this means that it is time for another...

Skills Assessment: Planning for a Successful Career in Design and the Arts
In the design world, beginners often overestimate their skills and importance, which can negatively impact their development. Experienced designers, on the other hand, sometimes miss out on growth potential by remaining in a blind spot—an area they don't know about. However, there is a tool that helps designers plan their careers and manage the value of their services.
This tool is the 360° Skills Assessment. It includes both hard and soft skills such as leadership, professionalism, personal effectiveness and entrepreneurship. This framework is based on bew practices such as McKinsey and adapted for design and art.
How does this help? First of all, you get an objective view of your career. You see gaps in knowledge and practical skills that are in demand in the market. This is useful for both freelancers and full-time employees.
On the Skills Scorecard, you'll find specific skills that can be rated on a scale of 0 to 5. For example, Level 1 is understanding the basics, and Level 5 is being recognized as an expert in the field.
What did my assessment show? I achieved level 3 in almost all areas, but avoided reaching level 4 - being recognized as an expert. This explains my active step into social networks and SMM.
Want to do the assessment yourself? Just write “Assessment” or “Skill Assessment” in a private message and I will provide access to the Google spreadsheet. Having a vision for your professional growth is easy!

last night i dreamt of sleeping.
hallways upon rooms of bunkbeds, pull out couches, twins, queens, stacks of blankets.
each room dark before dark, gold and pink light of lamps illuminating faces that i knew well enough to stare and wonder who they were.
i did not sleep.
i walked tirelessly looking for a bed that was empty
i walked looking for a bed that was mine
i walked looking for room
and never found it.
an annulment.
with no blankets, i make a bed out of nothing but the cavities in my molars, and the vacuum in my body.
the no vacancy sign must have switched on when i walked through, looking.
i found vacancy elsewhere.
i don't remember sleeping.
when i awoke, the room i tossed and turned in was exactly the same, with light this time. i covered my eyes and took another half hour.
when i awoke once more, it became another morning where we do not talk to each other.
the clock ticks forward like it always does.
i defy time. i am a ghost trapped in amber, no light to make me golden, only the maw of rotting ire to come eat me for breakfast.
another dream?
in this one i am many people with one mouth and we are all trying to say something worth hearing.
and in this one i dont wake up.

I:E 1 - Beginnings
This entire project sprouted from a Yr8 English task during the Covid-19 lockdown of 2020. The task was to come up with our own superhero, and thus the ‘Green Mage’ was born. The Green Mage was the (now unused) alias of Jayde Storm(he/him), the first of 100s of characters that have ruled my life since their creation.
Jayde’s original backstory was that of being the descendants of prominent political figures in the Government of ‘Plaice’ one of the nations of Isserea(Planet).
The ‘comic’ I made for the task shall be summarised in the following points:
- Jayde and his dog Matyx(later renamed to Zeke(he/him)) are travelling
- They run into Klieo Hunter(he/him), Jayde’s nemesis
- They battle and somehow open a portal to earth
- They continue battling and eventually Klieo is arrested by the police
- Klieo then escapes and finds Jayde reading a book about Earth
- They battle again, and Klieo ends up being ‘burnt to a crisp’ to quote the captions
- Jayde then establishes a permanent portal between Earth and Isserea
As you can see, this comic was flawed in many ways, and it is seen as non-canonical by me as this is the only time Matyx is referred to as Matyx, all other appearances of this character are as Zeke. Klieo and Jayde are still enemies, but Klieo is still alive and kicking, not reduced to ashes in a park on Earth.
