Went to check in on all the trees in #landpark and most of them have been cut up in GIANT piles. So many trees are gone. The city has a huge pile of the biggest parts of the biggest trees and they've been chipping them down. 🌲🌳🌴 So sad, but also a reminder that nothing is forever. Not even these pretty giants. I appreciate trees so much more now that I live in the #cityoftrees . I noticed this neat-o aerial photo of The Sacramento Bee campus hanging in a hallway in the basement of this same building while I was on my way to work out in the gym downstairs after work tonight. I'm assuming the photo must be pretty old because the trees are so much bigger now. And another clue about the age of the photo is how many cars we see here in the employee parking lot in the bottom foreground. There are definitely fewer cars parked there nowadays.
