Also when you go to the doctor in pain the US, they will just tell you to take OTC ibuprofen and OTC tylenol. People with chronic pain are treated like drug seeking addicts in the US, even legitimate patients and doctors are being investigated by the DEA after decades of pain management practices. Even after broken bones and complex surgery, the most pain management you will get is maybe a dozen low dose pain pills and recommendation to use OTC instead.

My fibro is never taken seriously and they just say to keep taking OTCs even tho they literally do nothing anymore. (I switched to MMJ for the most part because it actually works and won't destroy my liver and kidneys).

Anyways, if you need to rely on OTCs remember to only take 800mg ibuprofen in one dose and 1000mg acetaminophen in one dose. Only up to 3 times a day!! (2400mg ibuprofen per day and 3000mg acetaminophen per day is considered safe, anything more could be dangerous to your body)

I am definitely an advocate for MMJ over opioids (same pain relief without the risk of addiction and withdrawal), but the lack of access to any prescription pain medications in the US is partly why we have giant OTC bottles.
