Who are your favorite city OC's by now??? And why??

I have few Israeli city ocs, but I think my ultimate favorite is Tiberias / Galia ❤️

First, I really like her design, and secondly,

Tiberias is opine if the oldest cities in the world, with very rich history. She had a very important role during the Jewish wars, which is also my favorite era to talk about in my lore.

She’s quirky, smart, but also very modest and kind. The ultimate Jewish mother 🥹

Batman: Under The Red Hood

This is so interesting. Im gnawing at this bone. Jason sees Gotham as Evil, an evil that has to be beat into submission. So he makes The Red Hood, he believes his way is better then Batman cus he does what's needed (kill). He whole heartedly believes that this is for the betterment of Gotham. Then on the other side we have Bruce who saw the worst in Gotham and decided to see the light, to see the best in Gotham, to have hope that people can change. He doesn't kill, cus it's not right, cus it's not his place to be Judge Jury and Executioner. He whole heartedly believes this. Now I'm not gonna say who's right (because their’s no correct answer) but they fundamentally want the same thing, the betterment of Gotham, but neither has asked the important question. Does Gotham want to be saved?

Yesterday, the project of the Silesian University – University of The Best (Uniwersytet Najlepszych), in which I had the pleasure to take part, was finished. My final work was a comic about the personification of the city of Katowice and how it became Stalinogród after the death of Stalin. The project of personified Upper Silesian cities is something I've been working on for a while now, so I hope that I can post more stuff related to it in the near future. This one is the first, but surely not the last. I'd like to thank my mom and my friend for supporting me and being with me during the conference which closed the project, but I should thank the most the Silesian University and my tutor, Marcela Gruszczyk, because without her the comic wouldn't happen in the first place. Poison Rat

Down the canal, they came,

Seeping in at a slow, slow pace.

They entered without haste, as they

Had no desire to be spotted right away.

In the first place, it was crucial for them

To discern whether the inside of

The nervous labyrinth was inhabitable.

Feet fouled with decay, trailing down the halls,

The tissue absorbing and spreading mild illnesses.

Small seeds for future collapses.

Can you feel the hit, yet?

Regardless of whether you've slept for two or eleven hours,

Your bones are just as heavy and weary.

Life seems like a chaotic, aimless aeroplane,

With heightened sensitivity and

A profound sense of confusion and loss.

Once deep in the pit,

The body screams and shouts for aid.

The tears will not feel like cleansers,

Not like the weight being lifted from your muscles.

And with your racing mind,

You'll believe you're falling mad,

Or worse, that

You are about to die.

Then they multiply,

And that is when everything gets worse:

Knife thoughts, becoming knife actions;

Death ideas, becoming death wishes;

And the rats have made you firmly believe

That the issue is you.

And, of course, there is no turning back.

Either they will gulp you alive, or

They will chew up your corpse.

Your choice.

Do not be alarmed when your attempt

To swallow the poison will end up in

Spitting it out,

The inner healthy tissues are

Still fighting to survive.

Whether you like it or not,

That’s how you were programmed to act

In extreme situations. 

Try drowning in the sea to see

How you’ll crawl back to survive.

generally you will never hold a conversation with all the members of a community that has an embodiment. personification power lies in the greater trust one person has for a stranger who belongs to the same group as them than the stranger who doesn’t, euphoric solidarity from ‘I like your shoelaces—thanks, I stole them from the president’; we have something in common. if everybody knows each other, the social web is complete, end to end, and they don’t need something more to keep it intact.

personifications aren’t meant to be fully understood. for their avatars to materialize, the city must grow too large for everyone to be neighbors, or the fandom must reach Stage 2 of their life cycle. it’s not their healing or their longevity or their connection to their true bodies that makes them eldritch—it’s the fact that as soon as one person knows everything about them, they lose their reason to live.

the tendency of humans in cities to accumulate knowledge and overspecialize and create ever more complicated rituals, mythologies, and technologies is simply the survival instinct of the larger organism they’re a part of.
