oh yeah, while nowadays i remember it, it still confuses / messes me up how washington DC isn't even in washington. I mean, it makes sense, that's what happens when you have such a large and populous country. There's like what, 20 different towns called springfield?
In software development there's a joke / wisdom that once you're large enough, you WILL run into a problem where city and country will be interchangeable. Here are only some of them from the US:
Peru, Indiana Peru, Kansas Peru, Maine Peru, Massachusetts Peru, Nebraska Peru, New York Peru, Pennsylvania Peru, Vermont Peru, West Virginia Peru, Wisconsin Mexico, Indiana Mexico, Kentucky Mexico, Maine Mexico, Maryland Mexico, Missouri Mexico (village), New York Mexico (town), New York Poland, Maine Poland, Chautauqua County, New York Poland, Herkimer County, New York Poland, Ohio Poland Township, Mahoning County, Ohio Turkey, North Carolina Turkey, Texas Germany, Georgia Germany, Indiana Germany, Texas Germany Township, Pennsylvania China, Maine, United States China Township, Michigan, United States China, Texas, United States China Grove, Texas, United States Cuba, Alabama Cuba, Illinois Cuba, Kansas Cuba, Missouri Cuba, New Mexico Cuba (village), New York Cuba (town), New York Cuba City, Wisconsin Cuba Township, Minnesota Syria, Virginia Sudan, Texas
shoutout to Germany, Georgia, USA

Nobody calls it Londonderry!
Aside from stupid Scottish Tories, uninformed British people, and bitter old loyalists who don’t even live there.
Trying to make a point by projecting an illusion of superiority. Which falls completely flat.
Even the unionists who live there call it Derry!
Everyone else calls it Derry!
So please don’t even try to claim otherwise.

Isn't it funny how we translate countries' names but not cities' names? Like, "Brasil" becomes Brazilin English, but fuck it, Rio de Janeiro doesn't become "January River", Salvador doesn't become "Savior", Feira de Santana doesn't become "Saint Anne's Fair" and São Paulo doesn't become "St. Paul". Same for Nihon/Nipon -> Japan and Kyoto -> Kyoto. I just think is neat.

Ideas for Town and/or Street Names:
Religious Figures
Holidays
The place the group who gave it its accepted name came from
Stick “New” on the front of it
Local geography
Locations - real, mythological/religious
Historical Figures
Local Important People - ex: my ancestors sold their farm to the local municipality so the town could expand, and main street is now named after them
Events
Stick “City” on the end of it
Stick “~ton” on the end of it
Religious Themes
Repeat names you like

so I went looking and it wouldn't be the dad's name, it would be the town.
So, bull of minos, Minotaur.
That means there could be a Chicagotaur, a Topekataur, a Schenectadytaur, a Poughkeepsietaur🤣🤣🤣
And for our anime fans, there's always something going on with the Tokyotaur 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Minotaur is not a species
The Minotaur was named that because he was the son of King Minos. Anyone with a bull head has to be named after their dad, like the Kyletaur or something.

What is the coldest recorded temperature in Wyoming?
Wyoming, known for its breathtaking landscapes and rugged terrain, also experiences some of the coldest temperatures in the United States. This state, nestled in the Rocky Mountains, is notorious for its harsh winters. But just how cold can it get in Wyoming? This article delves into the frigid extremes, focusing on the coldest temperature ever recorded in the state, exploring the factors contributing to such severe cold, and examining the broader implications of these temperatures.
1. What is the Coldest Temperature Ever Recorded in Wyoming?
The coldest temperature ever recorded in Wyoming is a staggering -66°F (-54°C). This record low was set on February 9, 1933, in the town of Riverside, located in Carbon County. Riverside, situated in the southern part of the state, holds the distinction of being the coldest place in Wyoming, reflecting the severe winter conditions that can envelop this region.
2. What Factors Contribute to Extreme Cold in Wyoming?
Wyoming's geographical and climatic features play a crucial role in its extreme temperatures. Several factors contribute to the state's remarkable cold spells:
Elevation: Much of Wyoming is situated at high elevations, with the state’s average elevation being around 6,700 feet above sea level. Higher altitudes typically experience colder temperatures due to thinner air and reduced atmospheric pressure.
Mountain Ranges: The Rocky Mountains stretch across much of Wyoming, creating a barrier that can trap cold air masses. This topography influences local weather patterns, often leading to significant temperature drops.
Latitude: Wyoming is located at a northern latitude, which means it receives less direct sunlight during the winter months. This reduced solar exposure contributes to lower temperatures.
Climate Zone: Wyoming is classified under a semi-arid climate zone, characterized by wide temperature variations between summer and winter. The lack of moisture in the air can lead to rapid cooling, especially during the night.
3. How Do Extreme Temperatures Affect Life in Wyoming?
Extreme cold can have profound impacts on both the environment and daily life in Wyoming. Understanding these effects can offer insight into how communities adapt to such harsh conditions:
Wildlife: Animals in Wyoming have adapted to survive the extreme cold. Species such as the mule deer, bighorn sheep, and the pronghorn have developed strategies like growing thicker fur and seeking shelter in warmer microclimates to endure the freezing temperatures.
Human Habitation: For residents, dealing with temperatures that plunge below -50°F requires specialized housing and heating systems. Buildings are often well-insulated, and heating costs can be substantial. Winter maintenance on roads is critical to ensure safe travel, as ice and snow can create hazardous conditions.
Infrastructure: Extreme cold can challenge infrastructure, including water supply systems and power grids. Pipes are prone to freezing, and utility services must be robust to prevent outages. Additionally, outdoor activities and transportation may be severely impacted by snow and ice.
4. What Are Some Notable Cold Weather Records and Events in Wyoming?
Beyond the record low in Riverside, Wyoming has experienced various notable cold weather events:
Winter of 1949-1950: This winter was particularly harsh, with temperatures plunging well below average across the state. Many areas experienced severe cold snaps and heavy snowfall, leading to significant disruptions.
Snowy Range Record: In some high-altitude regions like the Snowy Range, temperatures can plummet dramatically. Though not always record-setting, these areas frequently experience extreme cold due to their elevation and isolated location.
5. How Do Residents and Authorities Prepare for Extreme Cold in Wyoming?
Preparation for extreme cold is essential in Wyoming to ensure safety and maintain functionality during harsh winter months:
Emergency Plans: Residents often have emergency kits ready, including essentials like blankets, food, and water. Local authorities also have plans in place to manage severe weather conditions, including snow plowing and road salting.
Building Codes: Wyoming has stringent building codes designed to ensure that structures can withstand extreme temperatures. This includes proper insulation and heating systems to prevent heat loss.
Public Awareness: Education campaigns help residents prepare for winter by promoting awareness of cold weather risks and safety tips. These campaigns often include information on avoiding frostbite, hypothermia, and ensuring proper vehicle maintenance.
What is the Coldest Place in Wyoming?
While Yellowstone's Riverside Ranger Station holds the record for the coldest temperature, it's challenging to definitively label one location as the "coldest place in Wyoming." Temperature extremes can vary greatly depending on local topography, elevation, and weather patterns. However, areas in and around Yellowstone National Park, as well as other high-elevation locations in western Wyoming, tend to experience some of the state's coldest temperatures consistently.
Conclusion
Wyoming's climate, shaped by its elevation, topography, and latitude, can lead to some of the coldest temperatures in the United States. The record low of -66°F in Riverside stands as a testament to the state’s capacity for extreme cold. Understanding the factors that contribute to these temperatures, their impact on life, and the measures taken to prepare for them offers a comprehensive view of how Wyoming navigates its chilly extremes.

The Hague has to have the most ominous and imposing name for a city I’ve ever seen.
It sounds like some forerunner trilogy shit.
“He will be taken to face trial in The Hague, and brought to justice for his crimes.”
You get the idea.
YOU ARE GOING TO THE HAGUE!
