The Andy Griffith Show (TV Series) S4.E11 Citizen's Arrest (1963) - Hal Smith
I've been watching reruns of The Andy Griffith Show of late, to see some Griffith bulge and check out dat ass.
What? Of course I'm looking for bulge and ass shots.
Anyway... I've heard about the Otis character before, but after seeing this episode. Well… you guessed it. I want to fuck Hal Smith.

"Un bandit est capturé," La Patrie. June 18, 1934. Page 1 & 32.

TW: Decapitation (cutting the head of someone), brief mention of blood
Imagine Danny going to Gotham and just got overwhelmed by the amout of vegenceful spirits there. There is a reason why ghosts at Amity Park got spooked when they heard "Gotham" and poor Danny had underestimated (or overestmiated himself) the city.
It took him waking from the daze, one hand holding the blood drippling head of the Joker and the other hand holding the knife, while the Joker's body gone cold. In front of many people, including its vigilantes.
That Danny realized he is basically fucked.

Made myself a RCM patch! :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I used @freezebobs vectors/renders as a base, but used blues instead of black and white because I wanted to reference forget me nots.
Also shortened district names besides Martenaise due to size. Black border is to have a place for the safety pins.
It's actually my second attempt, so I'm pretty happy with it!

The other illiterate sans-culottes and I have been really hoping we would be allowed to do another September Massacre this year. We promise to be cool about it this time. PS we need bread
1) If you are illiterate, how are you writing this message?
2) Absolutely not!
3) I highly doubt that. Incidents like these are the reason why so many clubs are having to be shut down around here.
4) Good news on the bread subject: we tracked down the missing stores of grain! They were in somebody's house, which was interesting because they were supposed to be shipped straight to Paris. Let's just say it's another charge on the pile for the owner of the place.
Anyways, flour should be back on the store shelves shortly, and we'll see if we can get some production subsidized so it's not so expensive and we don't have to execute any shopkeepers like Citizen Hébert wants. Which brings me back to the subject of PLEASE IN THE NAME OF THE REPUBLIC, HEED THIS WARNING AND DO NOT DO ANOTHER SEPTEMBER MASSACRE! WE DON'T EVEN HAVE SEPTEMBER ANYMORE! NONE OF US WANT TO HAVE EMERGENCY SESSIONS ABOUT THIS SORT OF THING EVER AGAIN!

500 person engagement flash mob in dc but in the middle of the dance they rush elon to put him in an litter shaped like a single-seat cybertruck, carrying him above the cheering flash mob crowd. his wildest dreams have come true--someone is proposing to him in his favorite invention as his believers keen and fawn below. until he realizes the litter is locked using the cybertruck mechanisms and there is no electricity. oh no oops the litter carriers have tripped and the entire thing capsized into the potomac. the car sinks slowly at first, then faster as it fills with the river. he screams until his lung fill with water but no one is listening. the people rejoice. their cheers are louder than ever before. one threat is contained. we are almost free.

Thoughts on arresting Klaasje
So I really liked this post by @jjjunebuggg, and I started writing this in the tags. But it ended up being too long and I didn't want to hijack the post with my tangent.
Also, in writing this, I realized I never had to give her a station call slip, did I? Is that something you can do? I've played five times with different builds and intentions, and I think I did 1 arrest and 4 call slips. It didn't occur to me that not doing anything was an option. Oh my god.........................
...
Anyway. I want to talk about not the morality of arresting Klaasje, but moreso the legality of it.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm of the mind that Klaasje didn't do anything to warrant arrest. Not that she didn't do anything wrong! She did, for reasons. But I gave her the call slip so many times because I genuinely didn't think it fair to arrest her.
She came to the city because "corporate espionage" is technically legal in Revachol, so she couldn't be tried for those crimes in Revachol. The extradition laws meant she couldn't get in trouble while she was there without being handed over to the ICP. But you can't legally arrest her for corporate espionage (although you can threaten her with it and then do it).
Maybe this is me being a bad detective, but it's not fair to call her a flight risk, even if she flees--Klaasje willingly hung around the crime scene, waiting to be interrogated, for over a week. She gave her testimony (and lied, but oh well, not under oath right).
Here's the fayde link to the reasons you can give for arresting her--none of which I think are actual charges (save for "murder suspect", for which there is little evidence to accuse her, especially if you know the actual cause of death).
Kim talks about how the RCM relies on call slips and fines over making arrests "to avoid overcrowding". If you don't arrest Klaasje, then giving her a call slip covers your ass. The call slip makes the paperwork clean, absolves the policeman of some fault, especially if you solve the case. More on this in a second.
Because of all that, it frustrates me that your colleagues give you a hard time about "letting a witness get away." Kim can say, "We really should have arrested her," during the tribunal. On what grounds should we have arrested her? To be sacrificed to the ICP because we're moralintern dogs? To be handed off to the mercenaries to appease their wrath? Literally Kim, shit timing. There was no reason. IMO it was her legal right to flee, as much as it was for Joyce to leave on her boat.
When Jean grills you for "failing to assess a flight risk" and "letting the witness go," I think his complaints demonstrate a systemic preference for corruption. Which like, duh. The RCM is full of corruption, they "exist in the twilight of international law", they're an imperialist armed force, etc. But this particular instance stands out to me because I believe in Klaasje's legal freedom, not just moral.
What makes me so sad, for both Klaasje and Ruby, is that if they both run away, they become fugitives. Idk if an officer can shred that station call slip, but if it gets filed, the ICP will know Klaasje's in Revachol right? It's another way of dooming her in the long-term, without a spooky shivers check weighing on your conscience.
Both of them were trying to bury criminal pasts; in playing the game you're investigation digs them back up cruelly. This is made even more ironic because you can spend the entire game wondering if Harry himself is in the the pocket of La Puta Madre. If he is, or was, he's protected by his job.
Even Ruby's involvement in the harbor drug trafficking was only legally dubious right? Not outright incriminating. I think it's likely that both of their criminal identities would fade into obscurity, maybe because of Le Retour, maybe because of time. But still they're two vulnerable people who're permanently on the run when they both could have had a long-term home in Martinaise.
Anyway, great writing in the game as always. Love that I can play five times through and then some, and still fail to question the narration, authority, or even myself. Like I needed another reason to play again.

"'PHONE THIEF TRAPPED BY ELECTRIC SIGNAL," Toronto Star. April 30, 1934. Page 1. --- Man Admits Pilferings-Captured by Company Employees --- Special to The Star Hamilton, 30. - Electricity proved the downfall of Elmer Long Sunday afternoon. To-day he pleaded guilty before Magistrate Burbidge to stealing money from the Bell Telephone Co., and was remanded a week for sentence.
The complainants have lost considerable sums, testified Detective Barrett, through pilferings of pay telephone boxes.
An electrical signal device was connected with the pay station in the old Spectator building Sunday. This flashed a light in the nearby Bell Telephone offices. Sunday afternoon the light flashed. Bell employees rushed across the road and grabbed Long as he left the booth.

See, the thing about confirming wackjobs who have been steeped in racist right-wing propaganda to high bureaucratic offices means platforming and legitimizing illiterate, anti-intellectual, and sinophobic conspiracy theories that show a fundamental lack of understanding and knowledge of virology.

Fuck the CIA
This country is run by fucking fools who want to blame China for their 🫵 public health, emergency management, and policy failures. China isn’t the reason Americans died of COVID-19; the U.S. government’s bumbling incompetence and inefficiencies are.
Emergent viruses come from human contact with infected animals. Whether it’s the bat in your attic or the ducks and cows on your farm or the fucking eggs you eat. Once a virus moves from an animal-to-animal, then animal-to-human, it mutates within humans for human-to-human transmission, and that is the FINAL stage of a virus’ transmission “evolution.” This is why the US fucking SHOULD be on high alert regarding the bird flu, and taking every step and then some to prevent human infection. (That includes providing the workers who are tending to and culling flocks with protective gear.)
And what’s MOST IMPORTANT about this “report” is that the CIA has…
LOW CONFIDENCE
…that the lab leak conspiracy is the “more likely” reality than a natural origin. Take this to mean, “we haven’t really investigated this and aren't sure it’s likely, but our boss thinks this is true and has asked us to investigate it and tell the public that this could be the reality. But we’re not sure it is.”

Dc x dp idea 23
Valerie goes to free phantom after she turned him into the GIW. She ran into Martian manhunter along the way.
In her defense she didn’t know Danny and phantom were the same. She completely believed the whole non sentient destruction craving ghost bit. Both the Fentons and the government were pushing those beliefs and most of amity believed it. They did cost her dad his job after all.
But when sam and tucker confronted her as Valerie not even as red huntress about where phantom was she wasn’t gonna tell them. That is until they told her he was Danny with proof.
The issue now is, he had been moved so Valerie couldn’t even break him out without having to find him first. Tucker manages to hack them and get the location. Before they could argue about letting her go. There was a the sound of same front door being forced open. Sam and Tucker were being taken to be tested for contamination. Valerie manages to stay hidden while they were dragged of. Which left Valerie to fix this on her own.
Leaving amity she went Obviously as red huntress. She just hoped sam and tucker were being brought to the same place.
Now there was a green humanoid flying in front of her blocking her. Not a ghost her sensors didn’t go off.
At a certain point she gave up on just avoiding him. It was not working in her favor. So she just states it as it is. She is breaking into a government facility to break out three people hoping that they’ll forgive her for believing the government. She doesn’t have time to deal with whoever he is they already had Danny for three days.
She does end up getting benched. Mainly because they are questioning her. But Danny and crew do get rescued by a league of hero’s.
