“How did you know that? You didn’t cite a source or any specific research”
“I… don’t know; it came to me in a dream.”
Cryptozoology is my favourite kind of fake science stuff. Wish there was also cryptobotany, like mothman but its just a really big fern in the middle of a field with literally nothing else around it , that spawned in the dead of night, might have killed a few people and never shows up in photos, and no one is sure its even real

Sorry to post politics on main, but some of you pro-palestine people are missing the point when it comes to the US election.
At this point, there is really no alternative to voting for Kamala. RFK is not getting elected. Trump would be infinitely worse for the Israel-Palestine conflict (as well as other conflicts! and our well-being in general).
Stop virtue signaling and actually do something (vote) so that America can have a better leader than Trump. That’s all. We’re not voting for our next Messiah, we’re not voting between two perfect angels, it’s a US presidential election.
And those of you saying that Kamala is “committing genocide” really need to get things into perspective. The Vice President does not have the power to furnish weapons to Israel. Israel’s prime minister is acting in direct defiance of the Biden/Harris administration’s wishes and Harris has been the most vocal in asking for a ceasefire.
The Palestine conflict is not an excuse to not vote. Not voting makes it likely that Trump will win, history will go on whether you play a part or not. I want my reproductive rights back. Please.

Alright, back to real facts now! The original Earthworm Jim's release date has always been up in the air, simply looking it up will give you several answers of varying quality. Some say it was released in April 1994 (which is false, the cheat screen disproves this, as the final build of the game was made in August 1994), and some say it was released in June 1994 (same answer as before). The game was likely released around August 1994 - October 1994.

genuinely no hate towards the maker of the butch bracket bc I'm pretty sure ze are butch hirself but god those polls are so depressing. genuinely none of you know what a butch is, at all. like half the characters nominated aren't butch and either a) are made by sapphic creators specifically as not butch, but gnc and fem and androgyne, or b) made by non-sapphic creators and are just, like, vaguely masc, and NOT in the way where fandom as a whole points at them and goes "you're butch now," which is an acceptable fandom past-time by butches.
and some of the ACTUAL butch characters, like catra, are set to be ousted in the first round by characters that aren't even butch in the first place. y'all hate actually butch/masc lesbians and it shows.

Hey! Wanted to ask a q about giffing. I saw your recent post about not reposting gifs, only reblogs. I totally get that, so how do gif reactions come into play? Like is it okay to search for a gif as a reply or comment? (or are thes two separate things im conflating?? Im such a tech grandma 😂). Anyway, i very much appreciate all the hard work you do! Your gifs are so lovely 💛
Thank you so much for wanting clarity and for appreciating gifmakers' efforts. I likewise love your writing and I'm grateful for all the hard work you put into crafting beautiful stories! ♥️ You're not the only one who has asked about this so I'm going to direct my answer to the masses:
Concerning my earlier post, reposting is when someone creates a post comprised of someone else's original creations without permission: that's never okay, whether you "give credit" or not. Reaction gifs are different. Adding a reaction gif to someone else's post is totally fine! It's part of the language of Tumblr, and the internet as a whole. Some of the greatest posts on this site are what they are because of the additional images and comments made as the post circulated. (Some of you are hiding absolute gold in your tags; please consider adding those thoughts as comments so that people can see them!)
When Tumblr added the gif search function back in 2015, many people understood what that was intended for and used that function to search for reaction gifs to add to existing posts. However, others used that function as a way to find gifs they liked, create an original post comprised solely of other people's work, and then claim that it was okay because at least they were "giving credit" ("yeah i took your stuff but at least i told everyone who i stole it from...").
Reposting is theft. Reposting removes the creator from their work and seriously damages the changes of others finding the creator. I've seen reposted work with thousands of notes, and brilliant comments and tags the original creator should have seen and enjoyed, but they didn't because someone stole that from them. I don't know a single semi-notable gifmaker on this site who hasn't experienced that and it is so disheartening. Reblogging, on the other hand, is wonderful and is what makes this site functional.
If someone asks you not to repost something they made, take it down without an argument. Telling someone they should expect other people to take their stuff if they post it online is like telling someone they should expect other people to steal their car if they park it outside of their garage. Of course it is a possibility, but we shouldn't expect or tolerate that kind of behavior. It is incredibly selfish to feel entitled to take anything you like. We should try to be respectful toward each other.
Learning the ins and outs of different social media platforms takes time, and I remember being in those shoes back in 2012 when I first stumbled onto Tumblr. I'm definitely willing to grant leeway if someone is unfamiliar with the etiquette of this goofy site. But I've also had plenty of far less pleasant interactions with reposters, almost always users who are fully aware of Tumblr etiquette (and basic common courtesy), but who chose to ignore it anyway. I have zero patience for that kind of disrespect toward myself or other creators. So, again, if I see anyone reposting my gifs, artwork, or creations OR someone else's gifs, artwork, or creations, I will block them immediately! You take my stuff and I block your access to the rest of it. So never repost. Reblog the original.

I have a Masters in Classics and I dare not touch anything about Greek mythology on tumblr because over half of it is people trying to make their headcanons canon, uncited nonsense, and straight-up making shit up, all of which ends up becoming my job to clear up for a lot of clearly passionate but misguided college kids. Remember kids, don't just believe it because it's on the internet and sounds cool. Always look for cited sources and check reputable sources to see if they lend any credence to the claim. This also extends to pinterest, twitter, and most other social media platforms.

hey, op of the "10 jewish women in modern history" post you reblogged is a zionist who is anti palestine. i dont think you noticed bc u post pro palestine content but just letting u know
Hey anon can you or someone else like. Substantiate this? I know I'm a bit of a lurker but I as a rule refuse to believe things based on nothing but hearsay (and also tumblr's search is working like dogshit for me rn.) I'll take the reblog off my dash for the moment until I have and answer and do some of my own digging (and in the mean time/in case I forgor like the goldfish i am I suggest reading The Ghost and the Golem, which, despite IMO some fumbling of marketing regarding the tonal nature of the queer story at hand is a really cool story based on jewish folklore. And if someone comes at me about the authors views (if any are out there??) 1) i didnt know. 2) this is like 1/3rd a harry potter blog run by a trans guy who writes all the bullshit out of JKRs shitty books. Idk figure smth out. Read critically because every people is capable of shittiness regardless)
And also just like. Not specifically at OP but a general note of wisdom from Some Guy On The Internet: its uh. Generally never good to just Say Stuff like this without any proof. Like either its true and proof is available (hell at least tell me how you know that. Even if people lie on the internet thats better than a simple "hey this person sucks jsyk, trust me bro") or its just Vibes which is a TERRIBLE way to decide to inform people of things like this.
Especially with something pretty complex where a lot of people have unfortunately taken the opportunity to go full mask-off antisemitic in response to palestine's current plight. Also yes this blog is pro-palestine. I am however also firmly against antisemitism, just like. So the record is set lol.
