could you make a transn'tmasc flag?
https://www.lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/Transn%27tmasc
There actually already is one! From here
Tumblr media
Transn'tmasc is a gender under the absgender or transn't umbrella. Transn'tmasc is a feeling of masculinity, specifically in a trans way, but cannot be called transmasculine due to some reason. Some reasons include, but are not limited to:
- Being AFAB and multigender.
- Being non-binary.
- Being genderfluid.
- Not being comfortable identifying as trans.
One may also identify with isogender, absgender, or transn't
There's also the term AFAB Boyn't
Tumblr media
AFAB Boyn't is a term for when one presents as a boy, but actually isn't. It is a gender non-conforming term.

i love the continuing saga of danny being diagnosed trans/aro via splerf guns. this is really how it feels when ur oblivious to ur inner workings
That's just what happens when your dad tells you to use your trans older brother as your masculinity role model and also no one ever told you that flirting is romantic and not just for making people smile and blush. You need a splerf dart to the head to piece together that Most People Aren't Like This Usually

gender is so weird. why do I feel like I'm a girl most of the time, a woman almost never, usually a man/guy when I'm not a girl, and never a boy?

"men never change" is hyperbolic, yes, but given the chance, if a pair of jeans pass the spot and smell check they will wear them indefinitely! (we? Idk my gender is weird)

I've been seeing a discourse that transwomen who immediately adopt dresses and makeup and nail polish and transmen who wants beards and to be all muscley are reinforcing the binary/gender roles and setting back the work of "men and women can wear whatever they want". And like... idk... I don't feel that's fair at all. I can't help my gender anymore than anyone else can :/ And like it's ignoring that strict gender binary and enforced gender roles harms trans people too, right?
I've seen that take pop up on occasion but it is almost always coming from a reaction to the extreme other end which is "trans women who aren't ultra fem and trans men who aren't ultra masc are FAKE TRANS and just trenders who will detransition in three months" which like. Gross.
Anyway I remain "idgaf, do what makes you happy" in my politics regarding self-expression. I know plenty of skirt go spinny trans women and I know plenty of himbo trans men and I know plenty of GNC people of either and I know plenty of nonbinary people of whatever expression makes them happy that day and I know plenty of cisn't people who aren't really sold on the gender expression thing to begin with and honestly??? I think squabbling over the morals and ethics of someone's gendered presentation (or lack thereof) is uhhhhhh kinda a silly hill to die on when the world is actively trying to kill or detransition us.
Like I just want to live as me, man. I think that's probably true of every transgender and trans-adjacent person out there.

Idk what it is
Tumblr media
But like I wanted to have his gender
Alright, I gotta ask my fellow trans folks on here (or really any genderqueer people on here)
What was your first fictional gender envy??
I'll go first!
When I was a kid, I thought I had a crush on this character, but realized later on in life that it was just gender Envy.
My first case of gender envy?
Tumblr media
Scout from TF2
Yes. I am not kidding.
I wanted this dumb soda-downing, head-bonking, chicken-bucket-brain's gender.
Tumblr media
I still do want his gender.

He is my transition goal sometimes.

Wanna ask how Phillipe would react to learning reader was transgender after knowing them for a while? I feel like he wouldn't enjoy thinking he has someone completely figured out then learn that they were 'hiding' something from him (how I imagine he would feel about it, he could also be a bro and be chill about it #ally style)
okay so here's the thing, get this right, he's extremely paranoid, doesn't matter if you're cis or cisn't, he assumes everyone around him is probably hiding something and because he decided to invest in the crackpot shenanigans that is his unfortunate flavor of criminology, he just has that twitchy je nes sais quoi about him that suspects everyone of being secretly heinous
so honest to god he'll either be startled that you're trans or if you're cis he'll find something else to be equally jumpscared by, that being said the concept of transness itself poses no affront to him, he's just a dramatic cunt
on a freakier level, he is what I would classify as a disaster bisexual so in the end it doesn't matter much to him anyways I think after he gets past the initial 12 stages of bewilderment and dramatic betrayal sequence he's just thankful anyone is willing to fuck him. also he's a bit disregarding of gender and its norms so the clues beforehand or even the revelation itself might straight up go over his head.
in terms of what I have written out, launderer is androgynous as are all my self inserts and has the upper half of a man with the lower half of a woman, which until philippe was able to undress them, was a point of confusion for him because he wasn't sure how to be attracted to them and it put a crimp in his brain
he couldn't decisively figure out whether he should carve male or female anatomy on their wax figure copy he keeps hidden in his house and that shit had him pulling out his hair for the longest while like this man was seriously tore up on whether he should jack off to the thought of them having a dick or a cooch, either way it gives him an excuse to invasively explore their anatomy because again, regardless if someone is cis or cisn't he IS universally an anatomy pervert so he will be horny over body structure

Short Piece: the Principle of Self-Exclusion (and why it's better than mandated exclusion)
I have referenced this principle in the past and said I need to write something on it, so now I'm actually doing that. The definition I will use for the principle of self exclusion is "it is only necessary for a term to define what it is and who it does include, not what it isn't or who it doesn't include. People who the term does not describe and who do not belong will naturally feel no sense of identification with it, and will self-exclude, and people who do not self exclude must feel some sort of genuine sense of identification with the term, and therefore belong."
This is a general principle, so there are of course exceptions based on circumstance. There are terms, such as nonbinary, faunic/daunic and floric, nomasexual/nowomasexual, and cisn't or straightn't that are very specific about what they aren't and/or who someone isn't attracted to, and hence the principle of self exclusion isn't entirely applicable to, but generally the idea of "it isn't necessary to enforce exclusion because people who it doesn't describe won't identify with it and people who identify with it are described by it in some way, else they wouldn't identify with it" can apply. There are also times when co-opted definitions become popular, like stud for example being used outside of its black-only context, in which case it is necessary to correct the record on the original definition and its exclusivity. So don't take this as a 100% infallible principle in every instance - it is a general rule of thumb.
In the context of mspec lesbians, it is an obvious application. There are no bisexual people wrongfully invading the lesbian label, because bi people who are not lesbians do not feel a sense of identity with being a lesbian. When a bi person does identify as a lesbian, there is a reason they feel connected to lesbianism, some of these being simple and obvious reasons like "I experience split attraction" or "I am bi and not attracted to men" but some are deeper and more personal such as "I had heterosexuality enforced on me so harshly that being a lesbian and centering my love of women is the best way to reclaim my autonomy and defy enforced heterosexuality, even though I am bisexual."
It's also true for lesboys, specifically aptobinary cis man lesboys. It's not usually defined as trans exclusive, but there is a reason that the vast majority of lesboys are trans. Most aptobinary cis men will not feel like lesbians in earnest, because the word doesn't describe them. Most aptobinary cis men who identify as lesboys later come out as trans and/or nonbinary, and the reason that it resonated with them was because they weren't actually men and didn't know it yet. If an aptobinary cis man does identify as a lesboy, then it can be assumed that there is some reason that its resonating with them, if they are identifying with the lesboy term in earnest and not as a joke. It isn't necessary to kick them out.
Sometimes, yes, people will claim to be an identity they do not genuinely hold. Does anyone remember "I'm a straight lesbian, I'm straight but I like the lesbian aesthetic" thing? Yeah that person came out as saying they weren't actually a straightbian, and invalidating anyone who did identify as a straight lesbian in earnest. Though there can be some good done in reinforcing that this particular person was not a straightbian and misrepresented the identity, it would not be necessary to tell them "NO, you're NOT A STRAIGHTBIAN" because people who do not earnestly hold the identity simply don't care. Straight men who jokingly say they're lesbians don't need to be strictly kicked out of the lesbian and lesboy labels because they do not genuinely identify that way. It makes them basically immune. You cannot stop people from joking even when it isn't funny, and when people with complex identities are thrown under the bus for the sake of proving why someone's pretend identity isn't valid, you're just further hurting the community. The actual best way to hurt an unfunny jokester is to take their identity 100% seriously, and act like you don't even get the joke. Now there's no one laughing. The punchline is lost when "straight lesbian" "lesbian man" and "bi lesbian" are normalized identities. Plus the joking party is usually someone with some queerphobic beliefs, so if their joke identity isn't succeeding at pissing off anyone nor is it funny, rather they're being associated with and assumed to be a "weird" queer, suddenly they won't want to say that's what they are anymore.
So yea that's pretty much it. People will exclude themselves based on if they fit the meaning, and if they seemingly don't but still identify with it, then something about the term's meaning is resonating with them and they have a reason and right to use it. When people joke, just ignore them and take it seriously and then when they don't get a reaction they want, they too will self exclude

Hey, Chatter C here. Question for the plural girls gays and theys (from a straight(?) man(?) in a lesbian(?) woman's(?) body <- current words we're using for this fucking chaos of an experience)
I like girls, right? We collectively identify as nonbinary, right? We use he/him pronouns, but most of us are feminine women and consider the collective to be technically femme, right?
Is it gay to like women in my case? Because if I via the system's body started dating someone who was a girl, and we are an afab lesbian, but I'm a very effeminate "gay energy" kinda theater man.......is it gay?
Like no shame towards being gay, honestly I'd kinda prefer to call myself gay with how overly queer and niche our gender and sexuality experience is, but like... if I were to say "I'm a gay man who's a cisn't woman who likes women" to one of my friends
Would that be a correct sentence?
I am in fact asking about syntax and definitions and grammar in this case.
Am I the one lonely straight dude who just happens to act REALLY REALLY stereotypically gay when I get excited? Is there...a word for this?
Please help a man't out. Thx <3
By the way I am aware labels aren't important and I can just live and identify how I want but like... the question is too silly not to ask. Sorry not sorry ,:)

Adjusted Transine Flags!!
Tumblr media
Transine (pronounced trans-see-nay) is a specific term for transgender individuals or those who fall under the non-binary or anonbinary umbrellas who do not wish to medically transition. An example includes a transgender man who does not wish to have testosterone, top surgery, or bottom surgery however they may socially present as a man and do masculine-related things. The term is important as cisn't individuals are often looked down on or told they are "faking" if they do not desire a medical transition. This is untrue, as gender identity doesnt have to align with ones body, and not all cisn't individuals experience body dysphoria (or dysphoria at all) which is towards their genitals and/or breasts.
Transine flag not made by me ^

Transine Feminine | Transine Neutral | Transine Masculine
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transine Androgyne | Transine Aporine | Transine Outherine
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transine Xenine | Transine Null
I had to make my own transine androgyne, aporine and outherine because I didn't like how the androgyne and neutral was combined, how the xenine and outherine was combined and there was no transine aporine

If you insist that a self-identified straight man can't be straight if he has sex with men sometimes, how are you gonna be accepting of aces who have sex?
If you cannot accept gnc people who identify as cis, how will you respect the labels of cisn't people who you think look like they should be using a different label?
If you think it's acceptable to disrespect the identities of cis & straight people, how much will it take for you to decide that maybe some queer people are acceptable targets too?
Respecting someone's identity & labels is basic fucking decency, not a privilege. If you treat it as something for you to "grant" to some people, I don't fucking trust you.

I have an OC named Aiden Jesse who I only decided was a trans man retroactively after I named him, and every time I try to tell people about how funny it is how that worked out, it always blindsides me that I have to explain the joke to them. It breaks my heart knowing that I grew up scared shitless for my safety in a community that was theoretically supposed to include me, watching people like me get relentlessly mocked and harassed for being queer boys the "wrong" way, but when trying to make light of that after the fact, even with other genderweird folks, it's always news to them, completely alien to all of my friends who didn't also grow up as cisn't boys. Like I'm glad that they never knew about The Horrors, but it feels strange coming across equally as "online" people who haven't heard of it before, knowing how prevalent and malicious the hatred for queer boys with those names was and still is. (though I still think it's funny as hell to have turned a regular-ass guy who was just kinda homoerotic before into a stereotypical tboy by adding one word to his bio. I will die on this hill.)
I dunno, I'm tired from heartbreak over the intense collective isolation, pain, and trauma caused by people mocking Aidens in the name of protecting and gatekeeping transness. I love you Aidens and Kais and Olivers and anyone whose name has ever been on those horrible "stereotypical tboy (read: 'theyfab,' 'tenderqueer,' 'transtrender') name bingo" cards, ESPECIALLY queer immigrants and BIPOC who were told for their own safety against xenophobic and racist violence that they should choose a White boy's name like Aiden instead of names from their own cultures.
Yes! Everyone should be protected and nurtured, that's what community is about and it's so upsetting that we aren't able to give that to so many because of what gets slung at them by other trans people looking to pick on anyone they can direct abuse at.
I have so much sympathy and love for anyone who's been effected by this.
