THE SILENT TWINS (2022) dir. Agnieszka Smoczyńska
"I am immune from sanity or insanity. I am an empty present box; all unwrapped for someone else's disposal. I am a thrown away eggshell, with no life inside me, for i am not touchable, but a slave to nothingness." -June Gibbons

the liu kang vs syzoth fight in the '95 movie is very good and iconic for a reason, but the beginning of it is super funny in retrospect
youtube
imagine you're liu kang and you go to another realm with the actor guy who won't shut up and 10 seconds after arriving there you somehow notice an invisible lizard on the wall watching you and your companion so you grab the lizard and throw it into a conveniently placed statue but when the lizard gets thrown into the statue the eyes of the statue start to glow red and then as you watch this the statue begins to morph into a real life man and a random voice from the sky says
"REPTILE."
then the lizard statue man, who you can only assume is called reptile thanks to the mysterious off-screen announcer, gets up and immediately dropkicks you through a brick wall.

Betty (1992)
"You know, I wanted to ask Thérèse when I saw her in the cellar. I wanted to say: 'Show me your wound.' I wanted to have a wound, too. I've always been chasing that wound. I must be looking for pity. I'm not a victim. I'm not to be pitied. No one ever hurt me. I'm the one who did the hurting. I'm a fool. Say it! I blew it all. I've soiled everything, myself included."
