How to Deal with Chronic a Bronchitis Cough
Tumblr media
Chronic Bronchitis Cough
Chronic bronchitis is difficult to deal with: it can be painful, result in time away from school and work, and can make a person’s all-around mental health and quality life low. A chronic bronchitis cough is wet (one that produces blood or mucus). Other symptoms include a blue-tinged lips, swollen legs and feet, and consistent wheezing.  If this form of bronchitis is not caught, it can result in scarring and some major health issues. Though it’s a difficult phenomenon to treat, but it is possible. The following are some tips for dealing with a chronic bronchitis cough and its other symptoms.
Common Treatments
Two of the most common treatments for chronic bronchitis are bronchodilators and corticosteroids. For people who have a hard time breathing or experience a chronic bronchitis cough, bronchodilators open up a person’s airways so that breathing is less painful and much easier. A corticosteroid is one that lessens swelling or inflammation and can be consumed via an inhaler or by mouth.
Another common treatment for chronic bronchitis is NAC
(N-acetylecysteine). Basically, this treatment serves as a manipulated form of amino acid, and it works as an antioxidant. Many doctors and researchers believe that NAC relieves the stress from the lungs and can lessen one’s chronic bronchitis cough.
Lifestyle Changes
Another way to lessen a chronic bronchitis cough is to eliminate possible environmental factors that may make the condition worse. For example, if you smoke, you should eliminate this. Secondhand smoke can also be a major problem. Additionally, if you visit places like bars or are even near smokers, it can aggravate a chronic bronchitis cough.
Additionally, try investing in an air filter for the room: it will help remove allergens and pollutants from the home. Lastly, use a vacuum cleaner that is meant to pick up allergens. This can lessen a person’s symptoms and help them breathe better at night.

Homeopathy
Though not proven, homeopathy can help a chronic bronchitis cough if taken along with the above treatment options. One common homeopathic remedy is Antimonium tartaricum. This remedy is especially suited for anyone who has a particularly wet cough. Hepar sulphuricum is particularly great for those who have wheezing and an abundant amount of mucus and coughing.
Before using any form of homeopathy, it is important to consult with a doctor as soon as possible. You don’t want to take something only to have it interfere with the other medicine you are taking for chronic bronchitis.Though not proven, homeopathy can help a chronic bronchitis cough if taken along with the above treatment options. Bronchitis What is Bronchitis? According to the NHS, bronchitis is “an infection of the main airways of the lungs (bronchi), causing them to become irritated and inflamed.” “Bronchitis can be described as being either acute bronchitis or chronic bronchitis.” “Acute bronchitis is a temporary inflammation of the airways that causes a cough and mucus. Lasting for 3 weeks” “All ages are affected but mostly children under the age of 5”. “Chronic bronchitis is a daily productive cough that lasts for 3 months of the year and for at least 2 years in a row.” It’s included in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with emphysema. Mainly affecting “adults over 40 years old” Causes There are three main causes of bronchitis: Viral and bacterial infections – “bronchitis is caused by the same viruses that cause the common cold or flu.”. “The nose and month produce millions of tiny droplets of the virus when someone coughs or sneezes”. Breathing in irritant substances – “smog, chemicals in household products or tobacco smoke.” “Smoking is the main cause of chronic bronchitis.” Smoking may lead to emphysema as well. Occupational exposure – “grain dust, textiles (fabric fibres), ammonia, strong acids and chlorine”. “This is sometimes known as occupational bronchitis.” Pathophysiology Chronic bronchitis is defined as mucus hypersecretion and goblet cell hyperplasia, usually in response to chronic irritation. This causes narrowing of airways, and inefficient ventilation of the lung tissue. Symptoms The main symptom of acute bronchitis is “a hacking cough, which may bring up clear, yellow-grey or greenish mucus (phlegm).” Other symptoms (“similar to common cold or sinusitis”) include: a sore throat a headache a runny or blocked nose aches ..... . . . #discoverphysiotherapy #respiratoryhealth #bronchitis #bronchitissucks #respiratorycare #respiratorytherapy #respiratory #respiratorytherapystudent #acute #chronic #chronicbronchitis #sore #throat #headache #headaches #runnynose #nose #aches #pains #tiredness #lung #lungcancer #lunghealth #health #bacteria #viruses #virus #smoke #smoking #cold https://www.instagram.com/p/CFyrCkVnVQh/?igshid=po33lggpx5n0

Please people, stop panic buying. I have asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, allergies, and sinus issues. I can't find distilled water anywhere for my CPAP or my sinus rinse. My local store can't even get it from distributors! I can barely find Mucinex. It's allergy season, I already can't breathe. There are millions of people like me in the same boat. We are getting more exposed to coronavirus by having to go to multiple stores on multiple days trying to find essentials. Stop being greedy jerks. Distilled water doesn't even taste good to drink. Some asshole probably has a whole basement of it and won't even use it. You can drink tap water. You can use a water purifier. I can't put tap water in my CPAP or sinus rinse. #stoppanicking #panicbuying #thinkofothers #bekind #asthma #asthmaproblems #sleepapnea #copd #chronicbronchitis #sinusinfection (at Wells, Nevada) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-fiEMsFY0u/?igshid=tnu8wxy50cs0
