Christine is a practiced liar who is persistently dishonest in intimate relationships.
Spock is on the rebound, drowning in emotions he doesn’t understand and can’t control.
No one should be surprised that this blew up the way it did.

I don't want your traditional drama that you get from cheating with Spock and T'Pring. I want this.
T'Pring finds out and she just stands there for a couple of minutes then:
T'Pring: I had sexual intercourse with Michael Burnham.
Chapel: *confused*
Laan: *confused because she distantly remembers that being the name of a Mutineer*
Spock: WHAT!!!?!!!!!
Pike: *panicking, desperately trying to find an exit, falls on floor, has heart attack*

Reading the POTO novel for the first time and for as much as people claim “ALW romanticized the Phantom” I would argue he “romanticized” Raoul. Raoul in the book is annoying af and has a really weird superiority-inferiority complex. Just your average 21 yr old scrawny young man. Not at all like the Prince Charming he’s made out to be in the musical.
He’s out here slut shaming Christine LIKE WHAT??????
Honestly, The Phantom AND Raoul got a glow up in the musical, they should be thankful.

When I say misunderstood characters, I’m not talking Dabi or Azula, I’m talking GODDAMN LA CARLOTTA FROM THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
And yes I’ve read the original novel and I still think Carlotta had a right to be upset
Erik literally sent her hate mail and threatening letters, attempted to kill her and then tried to dismantle her CAREER because he wanted to hear some minor sing
(Edit: when I called Christine a minor, I meant the 2004 film. Either way there’s def a age gap between Carlotta and Christine)

I am really disappointed they made same formula when they made Stephen strange became evil cristine.
Seriously? I know love is hurt but come on every single evil strange they obsess with Christine, can they thinking something else? Also it make strange look so pathetic, and make it worst Christine Palmer is not from comic (from I know) mcu made her tobe strange love interest.
At first time they using his grief about Christine, it was good and fine but they keep repeating same formula it's getting boring
The Exact. Same. Story. AGAIN!
I feel like the MCU is little too full of itself and doesn't know who use the meta. Because when you do the research, you find out Christine is barley in comics. Same with Peggy, she was originally pretty minor. So, when these stories are taken to a multiverse level it doesn't have the punch it's trying to have.
Okay, so, because there are so many different adaptations and different versions you know that the love interest for Peter Parker is Mary Jane and fate will always things end tragically between Peter and Gwen. But saying things won't turn of between Christine and Stephan or Peggy and Steve is like saying Peter and Liz Allen will never end up together. Like, you can write an interesting story within the contained narrative but when you take it to the multiverse, to that metatextual level it doesn't have the weight they want it to have.
Like, anyone shipping Stephen and Christine? I don't mean expecting to end up together because girl and boy. I mean was anyone making fanart and writing fanfiction on the two? I have no idea why writers decide to make this the center of Stephen's character.

Christine Daae and finding inner peace
The POTO book features of a bunch of biblical imagery, heroic forces battling over evil, a warrior's great quest in saving his lady love, and his lady love offering him enlightenment....
And also exploring the torment of many souls in that story
Yet Christine Daae is able to find peace in her past and what she been through
How so?
Christine never sought for vengeance even after all that happened to her. She sought for peace, healing and protection of her loved ones even after all that, as she believes that vengeance isn't always an answer. Her upbringing also helps with that
Raoul grew up in a rich, powerful household where he was at first influenced with his relatives in tow's ideology of vengeance.....until he meets Christine again, who shows him much needed solace and that vengeance isn't always an answer. After the Final Lair, with all of his relatives being dead or being sent off to hospitals or instutionalizrd for months or years, Raoul was on parole for 3 months and under military scrutiny for 6 months. And Christine helps him heal, and vice versa
Through also hanging out more with her family, Raoul is also reminded that vengeance can destroy one self...
And they both feel horrible over what happened to his relatives
And they chose to never repeat similar cycles to their children

In light of everything going on with Elli and Helena and Christine and the whole publishing department, I wanted to make a post as a published author about how to best support creators, particularly authors, in the digital age. I'm going to say upfront that there will not be links in this initial post, but I'll reblog it with links. I just don't want this post to get suppressed. It's amazing as an author to see all of the love and support going to Elli and Helena right now, because that is so incredibly rare to see for creators and it makes a huge difference. I genuinely think that based on how quickly SSE has responded indicates that they're listening, so keep up the pressure. So lets talk about a few things to help even more.
First and foremost, follow authors' socials! This is the most obvious, but more followers means a bigger reach and on some platforms is required to have access to certain features (like Instagram used to require a certain follower count for links in stories). And engage with their content when they post it! Shares and reblogs have the biggest weight with content interaction, so it is massively important, not just liking posts.
Second, stay up to date on their other projects so in the event of things like what's happened with SSE, the creators are still getting support. Are y'all following Tistow? You should! It's really good. What about Helena's original horror stories? I'm not fluent enough to read Swedish books yet, but I've heard only good things. Creators are rarely just a singular franchise or IP, so if you want to support them, make sure you're checking out their other works.
Third, and this is chiefly for authors, leave reviews!!!!!!!! This is incredibly important. Did you know that Amazon won't recommend a book until it has at least 50 reviews? Not even confirmed buyer reviews, just 50 reviews. Reviews are MASSIVE (and that's not an under-emphasis) for the visibility of creators. Even if it's copy-pasted on multiple platforms, go leave reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, B&N, and whatever retailers you're picking books up from. It makes a serious impact.
Now, I'm not saying that if all of y'all left reviews on mass for the SSO books and comics (where you can) and following these creators on all their socials would fix everything about the situation. To say the least, even if SSE does reestablish their publishing department, this mess happened in the first place. So please expand your support for these creators beyond just their SSO based platforms so that regardless of the outcome, they get back on their feet.
Again, I'll be reblogging this with links and socials, so let me know if you find any I've missed and I'll add them. But genuinely, seeing this for other creators is so inspiring. At least for me, and I can't speak for Elli or Helena or Christine, but this is what so many creators hope for, a community that cares so much about them and their work that they'll speak up about it and loudly. Imposter syndrome has been such a common trait with so many creators I follow or have met, and the visible, tangible proof that people care about you cuts incredibly deeply in such a positive and healing way. It's not just a silly little horse game's books and comics. It matters. And even if it's not for me, thank you for being good to creators because they deeply, deeply deserve all your love and support.

So SNW has dropped the name “Korby.” Is that it? Or are they going further? I wish they wouldn’t - Christine deserves so much better - but I think they will.
The latest speculation is that he’s the rebound when the thing with Spock blows up and the whole missing-fiance thing is for real. CHRISTINE DESERVES BETTER. No way this Chapel falls for a creep who dates students. No way this Chapel gives up her career for a man.
TOS Chapel was a prop, a 60s sex toy who only got any character at all because Majel Barrett is a badass. The Korby storyline is sexist garbage that needs to die. Can SNW fix it? or will they only make it worse?
CHRISTINE DESERVES BETTER.

PREACH!!!
While I am sad, of course, that Canada did not make it to the knock-out stages of the World Cup (and yet simultaneously chuffed that Nigeria did, and that co-hosts Australia did!) I am very, very, very proud of these players! And unlike that journalist who had the fucking shameless nerve to ask Jessie Fleming what she had to say "to the people who woke up early" to watch them play against the Matildas, I don't think they have to apologize for anaything! It's sports, it's cruel sometimes! It's what's also makes it so beautiful.
If anyone has to apologize, it's the Federation, that takes Canada's talented footballers for granted and refuse to back them up with the resources they need to make that talent shine. Shame on them, and them only! CANWNT did, as always, the country proud!

I imagine if they used songs from pre-existing musicals for the whole episode and instead of "I'm Ready," Christine and Spock did "Take Me Or Leave Me" from Rent
It would be perfect.

Imagine kissing the phantom (twice)--his first experience of physical affection in his entire thirty-odd years of life--out of pity, and then having the gall to come back after he's given you his blessing to leave, expressly to dissapoint him AGAIN, and also leave him to possibly be murdered by an angry mob.
Can't relate. Could never be me.
