Okay just realized smth that’s probably stupid and just a coincidence haha but I’ve been reading a bunch of buddie posts (aka feeding my delusions aka coping) but the entire 118 is paired off (except for Ravi ofc) as a couple who’ve kinda coparented or adopted kids at one point.

Buddie um yeah very obviously Buck coparents with Eddie for Christopher.

But then also Chimney and Maddie at one point coparented Jee after their split (which they got back together bc it’s Madney and yeah).

Then HenRen, where Denny is I guess technically Hen’s kid bc yk the situation with Ava. But Karen chooses to adopt and raise Denny with Hen cuz love!!!! And they become a family.

And then Bathena where Athena splits with Michael and then Bobby comes in and basically adopts Athena’s kids as his own and becomes a family.

Like. There’s a billion ways two ppl can be besties and just besties only. But coparenting? Like this? Being each other’s rocks, guiding the kid together and both being that kid’s rock, and the kid having EQUAL care and attention from both ppl? Dude.

And I’m not saying that coparenting can never be platonic or that it doesn’t work if the parents are split or that it will never last and the partners will have to get together eventually. I’m not saying that. But in the context of this show. Come on man.

Chris visits the hospital and forces Eddie's hand. Eddie's will is brought up for the first time in two years.

Longer Chapter Snippet:

“I have to tell you something,” Eddie says, and gets out of his chair so he can kneel besides Chris, force him too look at his eyes, the same way he has to do with Buck sometimes. Their eyes have the same color of blue. “Do you remember when I was shot?”

It’s a dumb question. But Eddie’s brain is at half capacity, and half of that is alarm bells and sirens and panicked-worry that he’ll raise a son to become him, just like Ramon had done.

“I wish I could forget it,” Chris responds.

“I know. But this isn’t about me. Remember when I was at the hospital? Who was here, other than Carla, when I couldn’t? Who slept on that couch and snored like a bulldog?”

Chris rolls his eyes, a gesture he was getting way too accustomed to, but that moved his entire head with the force of his attitude. God, Eddie loved him so much, he’d be a brat as a teenager. He was taking after Buck.

The thought sends a shiver down Eddie’s spine.

“Buck did,” Chris says.

“Buck did, yeah. Look, Buck and I had a fight, we both said things we regret saying. But you will always come first, alright? Because…”

Eddie takes a deep breath. Chris is looking at him again, eyes trained, knowing Eddie Is struggling with something. God, he’s so young. He should never need to worry about his father like this. Eddie did. Eddie worried about his mother every day. He was supposed to take care of her, supposed to be the man of the house. And then it broke him.

“It’s in my will, Chris,” Eddie says, slowly. “That if… if something were to happen to me. It won’t, but if it did, you wouldn’t have to go back to Texas. If something happened to me and I didn’t come home, you’ll be taken care of by Buck, alright? Buck will be your guardian if I go away one day, do you understand this? I’m saying this because I need you to know. I’ll never be upset about how much you and Buck love each other. I’ll never be upset about Buck seeing you as his own, because you already are. He’s our person, right? So he’ll wake up and be okay, because he knows we’re waiting for him here.”

Am I the only one who doesn’t find Chris attractive anymore??? 🤮

I think you’re on the wrong blog 😂 I still find that man attractive 🤷🏻‍♀️ I get why people don’t. It’s okay to find him less attractive as he gets older, but also this whatever that’s going on. I have my thoughts on everything, but I keep it off the dash. But yeah, I’m still thirsty. And I know several of my mutuals are still thirsting.

I’ve seen this man pretty much his entire career. I’ve lived through all his messes 😆 I will say I think this is the most volatile the fandom has been. I’m just in my corner, minding my business, drinking my coffee, and thirsting.

I’m at the point, if you don’t love him during this phase, you don’t deserve him during his Steve or Ari phase 🤷🏻‍♀️ but so many people have tried to tell y’all he’s not a character, he’s a man. Fictional men are superior to the real ones!

Btw to me it’s criminal that Chris and Sebastian never did a period movie/series in all their life. Not even as young adults. How am I supposed to picture them in my historical AUs? I can’t use bing forever omg.

And if they actually do a period drama now they’ll just be casted as the older villains/fathers, there’s no fun in that😭😭

guys I just had a thought and hurt my own feelings

(it’s probably wrong bc I know Buck technically died last season so it’d be insane to hurt him a lot again so soon)

but we’ve discussed how Tim is mirroring s4, so what if this time Buck is the one to get hurt in an emergency to parallel the sniper incident, and that’s why Eddie goes into s8 feeling isolated? and what would honestly stop Buck from being there for Eddie if not a physical barrier? or what if Buck gets hurt (but it’s minor) & Eddie feels insane guilt bc he was late (another theme this season) & couldn’t be there for Buck when he needed him, so that’s why he’s isolating

my new spec is some kind of feelings realization from one or both of them by the end of the season, possibly Buck’s loft burning down (maybe someone else in his building tries to burn it down bc they can’t afford it lol) and Eddie having his head so far up his own ass he’s late to the rescue and Buck gets hurt (maybe severely, maybe not) and Eddie hides away because he feels so guilty

bonus points if Buck witnesses Eddie losing his ever-loving mind at the thought of Buck getting hurt again AND REMEMBERS HIS REACTION

Shit has been going down these past few days, especially in CE Fandom. With trolls and haters unnecessarily attacking fans of Chris's work, and want nothing to do with the war that is waging in every corner of the internet.

With that said, Imma put a song that is basically me, in the middle of this shit storm. Also, because I'll be posting my thoughts and words about my "Captain America: Sub Rosa" reread in a bit, so stay tuned, if y'all wanna share in the appreciation.
