Confrontation Under the Moonlight

The night was suffocating with tension, a palpable thickness in the air that clung to Luna’s skin as she found herself bound in a clearing deep within the ancient woods. The trees towered overhead, their gnarled branches reaching out like skeletal fingers, casting long, shifting shadows across the ground. The moonlight was thin, struggling to pierce through the dense canopy, but what little light filtered down bathed the scene in an eerie, silver glow. It illuminated the makeshift altar where Luna lay trapped, the cold stone beneath her biting into her back. Surrounding her were ancient symbols of sacrifice, dark runes etched deep into the earth, pulsing with a sickly, otherworldly light. Each pulse sent a tremor through the ground, like the heartbeat of some slumbering beast that was about to awaken.

The air itself seemed alive, charged with dark energy that crackled ominously in the silence. Every breath Luna took felt heavy, as though the very atmosphere was conspiring to weigh her down, to suffocate her. Her wrists and ankles were bound with enchanted chains that glowed faintly, each link humming with a malevolent power designed to suppress her own. Nearby, Noah Stilinski lay unconscious, his face pale in the moonlight, a streak of blood trailing down his forehead from a recent blow. Melissa McCall and Chris Argent were tied to towering trees at the edge of the clearing, their faces lined with fear and determination. They struggled against their restraints, but the ropes held firm, biting into their skin.

The tension in the air was like a taut wire, humming with the promise of violence, as Jennifer Blake—the Darach—stood before Luna, her silhouette dark and imposing against the soft light. Her long, raven hair hung loose around her shoulders, and her eyes glowed with an unnatural gleam, reflecting the malevolent power she wielded. Her lips twisted into a mocking smile as she approached Luna, her every step measured, calculated. There was something predatory in her movements, like a wolf circling its prey.

“Look at you,” Jennifer purred, her voice a honeyed whisper, thick with malice. “A Scarlet Witch, so powerful, so raw. Do you even understand what that means?” She crouched beside Luna, her fingers trailing along the edge of the altar, as though savoring the moment. “You’re a force of nature, Luna. Not born, but forged. The magic inside you—it's wild, untamed, capable of reshaping the very fabric of this world.”

Her words dripped with dark temptation, like a serpent coiling around Luna's mind, squeezing tighter with each syllable. Jennifer’s eyes gleamed, reflecting the pulsing glow of the runes beneath them. “But you’re trapped, aren’t you? Trapped in a cage of self-doubt and fear.” Her voice dropped to a whisper, barely audible above the thrumming energy in the air. “You could be so much more if you just... embraced it.”

Luna's heart raced in her chest, each beat thudding painfully against her ribs. Fear coiled in her stomach like a knot, but just beneath that fear, something else stirred. A deep, untamed power, ancient and fierce, throbbed in her veins, begging to be released. But she was terrified—terrified of what might happen if she let go. "I don’t want this!” she shouted, her voice cracking with a mixture of defiance and desperation. “I don’t want to hurt anyone!”

Jennifer’s smile widened, dark amusement dancing in her eyes. “But you will, Luna,” she said softly, her words slicing through the night like a blade. “You’ll kill for your power. Just like every witch before you. It’s your nature, and deep down, you know it.” She gestured to the dark energy swirling around her, the air itself thickening with the force of her magic. “You could rule this place—bend it to your will—yet you choose to cower in the shadows, afraid of what you are.”

Suddenly, a voice cut through the night, sharp and clear, like the toll of a distant bell. “Luna!” It was Deucalion, his tone edged with both command and urgency. He stepped into the clearing, his figure illuminated by the faint moonlight. His eyes locked on Luna, a mixture of intensity and something darker flickering behind them. “Stop being afraid,” he urged, his voice dripping with a twisted encouragement. “Embrace who you are! Seize the power that is yours by birthright! Kill her, Luna. Show her the true strength of the Scarlet Witch!”

Deucalion's words felt like a dagger twisting in her chest, the weight of them sinking deep into her soul. He was urging her to become something she feared, to embrace the very darkness she had been running from. The ground beneath her trembled, the runes glowing brighter as the dark magic swirling in the clearing pressed in on her from all sides.

“No!” Luna screamed, her voice raw with emotion. The sound reverberated through the forest, shattering the oppressive silence. In a sudden burst of power, her magic surged forward, red tendrils of energy crackling to life around her hands. Without thinking, she thrust her hands out, sending Deucalion flying backward. His body slammed against the trunk of a towering oak tree with a resounding thud, the force of the impact shaking the ground beneath their feet.

The runes beneath her feet blazed, responding to the fury burning within her. "Don’t you dare tell me who I am!" Luna shouted, her voice filled with a righteous anger that made the very air vibrate. Her eyes, glowing with a fierce light, locked onto Deucalion’s. “I am not a puppet for you to manipulate!” Her magic flared brighter, swirling around her like a storm ready to unleash its fury. “I decide my fate.”

Deucalion's eyes widened in shock, his confidence faltering for the first time. He had underestimated her—underestimated the strength that lay hidden beneath her fear. “Luna, wait—”

But she wasn’t listening. “I am not like you,” she growled, her voice low and dangerous. “I will not hurt others to prove my worth.” With a sharp motion of her hand, she released him, letting him drop to the ground. She stepped back, drawing on the well of power within her, her aura flaring as her magic responded to her command. It wrapped around her like a shield, vibrant and alive, humming with untapped potential.

Jennifer’s cold, mocking laughter pierced through the tension, echoing through the clearing like the cry of a vulture. “You think you can stand against me?” she taunted, her voice dripping with disdain. “You’re just a scared little girl playing with forces far beyond your comprehension.”

Luna’s expression hardened, the fear that had gripped her moments ago dissipating like mist in the morning sun. She stood tall, her power coursing through her veins, grounding her. “No,” she said, her voice steady and unyielding. “I am a witch, and I choose to fight for my friends. For my family.”

As if in response to her resolve, the air around her seemed to hum with life, the ground beneath her vibrating with the force of her magic. The connection to the earth, the power of nature itself, surged through her, grounding her in the present moment. She could feel the presence of her pack—Scott, Stiles, Isaac—racing through the woods, their determination and loyalty bolstering her strength.

The tension in the air reached a fever pitch as Luna raised her hands, the red magic swirling around her like a tempest, crackling with raw, untamed energy. “You want power?” she declared, her voice ringing out across the clearing, steady and fierce. “Then let’s see who truly wields it!”

In an instant, the clearing erupted into chaos. Luna’s magic collided with Jennifer’s dark energy, the force of their power igniting the very air. The ground shook beneath them as the clash of forces sent shockwaves through the trees. In that moment, Luna embraced her power, no longer afraid of the darkness within her, but determined to use it to protect those she loved.

The pack burst into the clearing, ready for battle. Together, they would fight—but Luna, now fully embracing her identity, stood at the center of the storm, a beacon of strength and defiance. She was no longer a pawn in anyone's game; she was a force to be reckoned with, a witch who would protect her family at all costs.

What’s one of your favourite things about Scott McCall? 👀

This is going to be complex, but one of my most favorite things about Scott McCall is something that might cause many people to scratch their heads.

Scott McCall's moral courage is personal yet universal.

When Scott takes a stand, from Season 1 to the Movie, he never seeks out an evil to defeat. It always comes to him. His desires are to be a vet, play lacrosse, and have a romance. He doesn't identify himself as a 'hero' or 'protector'; it's others who label him as such. When it all starts in Season 1, it's Peter, Derek and Chris who seek him out and insist he get involved (repeatedly). When he does feel the need to involve himself in later seasons and the movie, it's not for an abstract principle that he he is seeking to uphold. While he does have principles and while he fights according to those principles, his involvement always comes about because he knows the names of the victims.

Yet, almost paradoxically, those principles -- the most important one being that all life is valuable -- are extended to everyone, even the villains, even minor antagonists like Donovan Donati. He has to defeat Jennifer Blake, and he will, but he will give her a chance to surrender no matter whom she threatens. He has hope for Peter, who has mutilated and violated him repeatedly. He approaches Tamora Monroe and Gerard Argent alone, not because he's stupid or naive, but because he doesn't want anyone on either side to die. The only villain on whom he chooses to pass final judgment in 100 episodes and a movie is the parasitic ghost of a serial killer who died two-and-a-half centuries. ago.

To me, that's remarkable. I am sure there are other heroic protagonists who meet these standards, but they are not what I see on my screen most of the time.

He's not a crusader or rebel leader, answering injustice across the world for those who cannot defend themselves.

He's not a gritty superhero, protecting a city form the shadows to put the fear in the hearts of malefactors.

He's not a police officer, soldier, or highly-trained spy enforcing the laws of the society in which he lives, tempted to bend the rules to see true justice done.

I'm not saying there's something wrong with these types of heroes. It's just refreshing to see a heroic protagonist who isn't. He's a teenage boy (or a well-tempered adult) who has the power to save others thrust upon him and, for good or ill, seeks to do just that. I can't identify with Scott; I wouldn't have acted the way he did when faced with the choices he made. I just wish I would be able to.

If anyone expects him to just watch history repeat itself, they don't know Stiles very well.

Stiles smacks Derek over and over but before going punch him, he wakes up so Stiles tells him everything that has happened. Derek leaves to go get his sister while Stiles and Julia stay back to hold off the cops.

"You should have gone with Derek." Stiles says as the two of them sit alone in the front lobby.

"And leave you? No, thank you."

"Why stay with me?" He looks at her playing with a strand of her hair so she stops to look at him.

"Because I want to be with you and you need someone by your side. Your dad was taken and your best friend left... but I'm still here for you." She tears up a bit, "Stiles, you're the first person in my life, besides from Lydia, I really care about."

"Julia," Stiles moves closer to her but stop as they both look at the door to see the FBI. "Oh, just perfect." Stiles sighs.

"Who's that?" Julia asks as the man walks over to them since it was clear Stiles didn't like him.

"A Stilinski at the center of this whole mess. What a shocker. Think you can answer some questions without the usual level of sarcasm?"

"Stiles without sarcasm isn't a thing." Julia looks up at the man to read his badge, "McCall..."

"And you are?" He asks her.

"Julia Martin." She answers him.

"Where's your dad, and why's no one been able to contact him?" He ignores Julia to ask Stiles.

"I don't know. I haven't seen him in hours." Stiles tells him.

"Is he drinking again?"

"What do you mean, again? He never had to stop." Stiles tells him and Julia was getting pissed with Scott's dad.

"But he did have to slow down. Is he drinking like he used to?"

"All right, how about this? Next time I see him. I'll give him a field sobriety test, okay? We'll do the alphabet start with F end with U." Stiles says causing him to smile.

"How about you just tell me what the hell happened here?"

"We do you know what happened here because we were stuck in the elevators the whole time." Julia speaks up.

"Y'all aren't the ones who put the name on the doors?"

"What name?" They ask at the same time confused so he tells the Argent was written on the door.

Once they were good to go, Stiles and Julia go to the Argent's to tell them that their name was written on the door. Allison says it's no coincidence that Blake took Scott's mother and Stiles' father. Allison suspects that Ms. Morrell is behind the warning saying the guidance counselor knows a lot more about what's happening and might be trying to help. Stiles says they need to hurry since the lunar eclipse is two freaking nights away and that his father could already be dead. Chris disagrees. He says it seems Jennifer is moving pieces into place. Allison points out that Chris is one of those pieces. He says they won't wait around to see her next move. He takes out the map of the telluric currents.

Stiles is dejected saying that going after her will likely mean Chris gets taken. Chris says he's different because he's carrying a .45 caliber pistol. He says Jennifer has shown that she can heal from a shot to the leg and slashes to her face but wonders how she would do with half her skull blown off. Chris suggests the placement of the sacrifices has to do with the strength of the telluric currents in those spots. He points out the school, the animal clinic and the bank on the map. Supposing that Jennifer might return to a spot if she failed to complete a sacrifice there the first time, they settle on the bank as a logical starting point.

"What if we use Lydia and you?" Allison looks at Julia.

"Lydia and Julia? What can they do?" Chris asks lost.

"They sorta have a talent at finding bodies without looking for them." Stiles tells him so Chris looks at Julia.

"What are y'all? Psychic?"

"No, we're Banshees." Julia corrects him.

As time passes both Allison and her father bring out all their weapons, "I thought you guys were retired." Stiles says looking at everything.

"Retired yes, defenseless, no." Chris tells Stiles to keep his phone on so that if Scott calls they can tell him right away. Stiles says he thinks that is unlikely and Chris says Scott is only doing what he thinks is right.

"I can't shoot a gun or use a crossbow. But... Well, I'm- I'm getting pretty good with these." Isaac arrives showing his claws.

While Isaac and Allison stay with her father, Stiles and Julia go to Lydia and catch her up on everything. She couldn't believe Scott would willingly join the Alpha Pack but Stiles says the look on Scott's face at the time suggests his choice was real.

"I get that Julia and I are human Geiger counter for death but I don't know how to turn it on or off yet." Lydia looks at Stiles.

"I still don't know how to do it and I've been a Banshee a lot longer." Julia takes a seat.

"Jennifer seemed surprised that I was a Banshee, so why did she try to kill me?" Lydia asks confused.

"We need to find out why. What do you know that I don't?" Julia asks her before the three head to school.

At school, Lydia was frustrated that Aiden wasn't texting her back. Isaac ends up texting Stiles about Allison's dad. The news ends up sending Stiles into a panic attack which Julia notices immediately.

"Stiles, what is it?" Lydia asks him.

"He's having a panic attack." Julia takes his hand leading him down the hall to the locker room where it there wasn't anyone but them and Lydia.

"Hey, hey, breathe. Try to breathe. Focus on me, look at me." Julia grabs his hands forcing him to look at her, "Remember when you helped me with mine at Scott's house?" Julia smiles a bit but it wasn't helping him so she wraps her arms around him hoping a hug would work like it did for her then.

"I can't stop, Julia." His voice cracks so she moves back cupping his face so he would look into her eyes.

"Look at me. You can. I know you can." She smiles before leaning in to kiss him gently till he was clam again.

As she pulled back slowly they just stared at each other completely forgetting Lydia was just standing on the side watching them.

"How'd you know that would work?" He asks her taken back.

"I read once when I used to have mine that holding your breath could stop one." She smiles with tears in her eyes, "I didn't know how to get you to hold yours so I kissed you hoping it would work."

"I held my breath?" He keeps his eyes locked with hers.

"You did." She nods her head wiping her tears away.

Stiles tears up again, "Thank you." He pulls her into a tight hug, "I'm lucky you're smart." He makes her laugh.

"If she was really smart she would tell you to sign up for a few sessions with the guidance counselor." Lydia speaks up finally so the two pull out of their hug.

"Morrell." Stiles says so him and Julia get up from the floor and the three rush out to go see her.

They rush into the Guidance Office to find Danielle waiting for Ms. Morrell. She says Stiles and Lydia will have to wait because she's got some serious issues to work on. Danielle says she's been waiting for 20 minutes for the counselor and points out that it's weird because Morrell is never late. Lydia agrees, saying she was seeing the councilor at the beginning of the semester. Stiles concludes she is not late, she is missing.

Stiles says he wants to know what Morrell knows and starts to search through her desk. There are two framed photos, both of young children, on the desk. Stiles comes up with Lydia's file and finds a number of drawings of the same tree. It is the same exact tree over and over again on several pages.

"Wait, I basically draw the same thing but upside." Julia pulls out her notebook and flips through her pages to show basically the same thing.

"Okay; you can have my session. You girls got bigger issues." Danielle leaves them.

"What is this?" Lydia asks scared.

"Stiles, the last one I drew..." She shows him she went into detail about what's under the roots, "It's the root cellar."

"That's where they are." Stiles looks at her.

The three rush off to find the Nemeton but Stiles is called by the McCall. Stiles sends Lydia and Julia to Derek since both he and Peter have been to the root cellar before.

Arrives at Derek's loft and there is an awkward moment when Lydia sees Peter for the first time since she brought him back from the dead, "Derek, we have visitors." Peter calls out.

"We know where the parents are. Jennifer has them in the root cellar. If I remember correctly, you've both been there." Julia enters the loft.

"Yes, but we don't know where it is. Talia- Derek's mother and my older sister, decided that she didn't ever want us going back. She knew how dangerous it was and took the memory of its location from us." Peter tells the girls.

"Then how are we supposed to find it?" Lydia asks him.

Stiles, Julia, Lydia, Allison and Isaac join Deaton at the Animal Clinic as they try to work out how to find the Nemeton. Stiles believes it must be on a telluric current or at the convergence of the currents. Allison says Gerard claims he can't remember the location although he and Chris had been there once before. Deaton says there might be a way to do it but that it is dangerous and that they'll need Scott.

At the animal clinic, three large tubs filled with ice water and mistletoe are waiting. Deaton asks if Scott Stiles and Allison have brought something personal that belongs to their parents. Stiles had his father's badge. Allison had a silver bullet made by her father. Scott had a Timex watch. He said it was given to his mother by his father and that Melissa jokes it was the only thing about the marriage that worked.

Deaton explains that the three will serve as surrogate sacrifices for their parents. The plan means the three friends will be dead for a few seconds before Deaton brings them back. Their deaths will supercharge the Nemeton and that will attract supernatural creatures to Beacon Hills. Deaton also says dying will take a personal toll on the trio. They will be left with a permanent darkness around their hearts.

"Each of us will hold you down until you're essentially... Well, dead. But it's not just someone to hold you under. It needs to be someone who can pull you back. Someone that has a strong connection to you. A kind of emotional tether." Deaton tells the three, "Lydia, you're with Allison and Isaac you'll stand next to her. I'm with Scott, and Julia is with Stiles." He adds.

"Really?" Julia asks surprised Lydia didn't get him and Isaac wasn't with Allison since she could tell they were sorta liking each other.

"Yes," He says making Stiles and Julia to look at each other.

They each slip in the tubs. Through shivers and chattering teeth, Stiles informs them that Scott's father is in town. Each of their tethers reach out and push them under the water.

Hours pass and the three were still in the tubs while the other four waited patiently, "Deaton..." Julia walks over to him as he was in the front, "Why did you pair me with Stiles and not my sister?" She asks him.

He gives her a look, "Are you seriously asking me why?"

"Well, yeah. You said someone that has a strong connection to them. An emotional tether... Who better for Stiles then Lydia? He's been in love with her since the third grade. I'm still a recently new friend to him. It's been only like a year..."

"But to the two of you it doesn't feel like just a year. Believe it or not, you're the perfect person to pull him back. Y'all's connection is almost stronger than his and Scotts." Deaton walks away leaving her alone.

Julia takes a seat on counter before rubbing her temples mumbling to herself, "You have feelings for Stiles don't you?" Isaac joins her side.

"I don't know the answer to that question anymore, honestly." She turns her head to look at him, "In the past, I would've laugh and said no and meant it. Now, if I do that... I don't know if I'm lying or telling the truth." She laughs at herself, "I shouldn't though."

"Why not? I like Allison when I shouldn't."

"Because when I fully admit I have feeling for him it will just kill me. Isaac, I'm never gonna be his pick as long as Lydia exists. He's been in love with her since the third grade." Julia tears up.

"What he has is a one sided love, and that isn't real love. Love is a bond shared between people, Julia. Lydia doesn't love him since he's just a friend." Isaac tells her.

"When did you become a love expert?" Julia laughs at him.

"I'm not, I'm just stating the obvious. I have my friends back." He pulls her into his side.

4) This was started off by an idea of a rarepair. Which was then crafted with moodboards of these two. (Credits to you @thiamsxbitch) Basically this is an AU where Isaac doesn't leave to France with Chris. Instead he stays with Scott and Melissa as he battles against the Deadpool while being a mentor and beta to Liam. When he is a senior and someone from Scott's and Stiles's childhood crosses path, Isaac is skeptical but intrigued. He finds it mysterious that Theo wants to join Scott's pack out of nowhere which makes him hold the chimera at arms length. But Theo is interested in the tall beta werewolf who is not just one of Scott's best friends but is also the former lover of Allison. As these two cross, they find out more about themselves and are drawn to each other, not realizing the severity of the situation or Theo's deception before it's too late.

10) Holes of Sorrow became a huge creation of mines since I have seen a few time travel fanfics of Scott, Derek, Chris, and one from Allison. But Lydia (who happens to be one of my favorite characters too) goes from being a Queen Bee to becoming of the most trusted friends and allies in the series by season 6 and her banshee and intelligence is what makes her into a sophisticated badass.

But I decided to have this idea where the war is over but at the cost of her life and a majority of the pack. Rather than her soul passing on to the afterlife she is sent back in time to season 1 on the first day of school back from winter break. Which will not only confuse Lydia and give her a second chance, but also change the outcomes now that she has developed and become mature within herself and her banshee powers.

21) This fanfic or sets of one shots/mini series will be dedicated to the villains of Teen Wolf had their traumas played differently, had they made a different decision, or had they been saved by someone. (excluding Gerard and Kate because those two are psychotic murderers, Corinne because she is a cold blooded assassin, the Dread Doctors because technically they are corpses and the Nogitsune who is an entity of pure evil).

It would comprise the tragic villains of Peter Hale, Matt Dahler, Victoria Argent, Jennifer Blake, Kali, Ennis, Decaulion (even if he became a pacifist in season 6), Garrett, Violet, Sean Walcott (he wasn't a villain really but he went rogue as a Wendigo), Halwyn, Gabe Valet and Tamora Monroe. Each of them in a one shot or mini series to what if scenarios or how would it impact them and the story differently. I may add in Theo as an AU too. Mr. Douglass I will not add because he is a Nazi and he wanted to take the power of the Wild Hunt. Dr. Valek I am uncertain about due to his agenda for the supernatural and what he did to Lydia.

22) This one I am actually still brainstorming but I am actually planning out their dialogue and how they meet. These two are seen paired in fanfics I have read with this pairing and I decided to pair them up in this fanfic. From Strangers to Lovers, and while I do intend to add fluff (and adult content so rated E🔞🔞) I also intend to not make it easy and allow angst and darkness into his fanfic considering what Josh goes through and what he becomes.

They both will meet at Sinema and drawn to each other by their looks and their appeals. Of course while Josh can act carefree and edgy, he would be having a hard time to keep up with the smug, charming, and daring Brett who will be the cause of Josh's racing heart. While at the same time Brett's feelings for Josh will be claiming his own heart as he acquires the fuzzy feelings around the cute Latino teenager.

30) So how did this come into play? Well I got into Stiles/Brett ship (known as Briles) due to a fanfic called Summer Daze by emsittens which intrigued this spark. Then I went into a Briles brain rot which I still ship completely and began reading some Briles fanfics. There are many Briles fanfics on AO3 but my favorites aside from Summer Daze are the ones written by my dear friend @amatchinwater who has many fanfics of Briles. (I applaud you💙💙💙😎😎😎)

But in this WIP, Stiles meets the 8-pack Devenford Prep Lacrosse captain after getting Liam away from him but after trying to play "polite" and use his wits, Brett tells him something that is a mixture of an insult and a flirtatious compliment. "You really are a talkative mouthy one. A hot, talkative mouthy one at that😏"
