We don't know anything about Kate and Chris' mom. Do you have any headcanons/headcanons you've read that you liked?

Oh my God YES ACTUALLY!!!!! GOD I cannot remember for the LIFE of me where I read this I think it was on Tumblr but I saw a theory that the rabid dog Chris talked about in 1x04 was actually Kate and Chris’s mom and I feel like that makes SOOOOOOO MUCH SENSE. I WISH I REMEMBERED WHERE I SAW IT CUZ IT WAS BRILLIANT 😭

What do you think Chris and Kate's dynamic was like when they were kids?

SPIKEFAAAAACE I KNEW YOU WOULD COME THROUUUUGH 😭😭😭 Oh my GOD where do I even begin?!?! Well there’s that picture of Jill and JR sleeping on top of each other that made me think of them as children. I think at one point they were close in that way but I don’t think that lasted very long. Kate says in the S4 finale — “It’s just like when we were kids. Always making me the bad guy.” I imagine baby Kate thought it was funny to taunt baby Chris because it would set him off. And I think it’s interesting to think of him being the bad guy back. Kate was his little sister, but she was so much stronger than him. There was a fire inside her that he just didn’t have. Chris is consistently characterized as weak and it would make so much sense for him to be jealous of her and resent her for her ability to be a killer (metaphorically AND literally).

Something that perfectly illustrates their dynamic to me overall is the picture Allison had in her room of them. Kate has this beaming smile on her face and Chris is all awkward and aloof. I love it so much.

being an artist and revisiting media you liked when you were 11 is like. oh ok. this shaped my sense of humor and the way I write characters and the way I pace narratives and the tropes I'm drawn to. and I vastly underestimated how much of an impact it had on me because I literally have not thought about it for 15 years. but it was there inside me the whole time. ok. ok cool! c ool

It's a shame Julia literally crashed the party in the Hale loft, since Kali could've actually had a pretty interesting conversation with Ethan and Aiden.

They're more or less saying they value Lydia and Danny (and their love) more than they value the Alpha Pack, and saying it to a woman whose first love (that we know of, and I'm of the interpretation camp that Kali loved her) is currently gearing up to hunt down her and the rest of the Alpha Pack, and her second love, the one she almost mudererd Julia for in a way, is now dead and buried and (I think, not certain on timeline) less than a few weeks cold. So how would Kali react to that?

Is she so far gone that she wouldn't even stop to care? Would she feel somewhat conflicted, since she betrayed her original pack "for love", and now Ethan and Aiden are doing the same thing? Would she try to convince them that love isn't worth it because it always leads back to pain?

Kali isn't the most complex character, but it is a shame an excellent moment to give her just a bit more depth got cut short and immediately led into her death.
