CAN I HAVE SOME THOUGH#raw onion salad: 1 sweet onion halved and sliced thin. juice of 1 lemon. glug or 2 or 3 of olive oil.#the right amount of salt and pepper. a handful of fine chopped parsley. smaller handful of fine chopped mint. a little extra salt#eat it with pilaf or get distracted by how good it is and eat it by itself then drink the juice. could also eat it with pomegranate#but that is also supposed to be for the pilaf

#thank good im not the one who has to do the dishes#Carrots: chop carrots add to pan over medium heat with a stick of butter brown sugar honey and chili powder cook until soft#Asparagus: add to pan with olive oil salt rice vinegar paprika pepper and and garlic powder cook until soft#potato: rub down in olive oil salt parsley and chilli stick in oven at 400 for however long#do the the potatoes first#steak: sear in cast iron pan with butter honey garlic powder and lemon juice. move onto broiler pan with lemon slices on top. cook in oven#with potatoes until the center hits 130f or higher#its not a Difficult meal but by god does it fuck

Whole grain pasta with a cream pesto sauce and broccoli + a multigrain loaf (my fav take and bake from meijer!) with a garlic herb spread 🤤🥦🧄
#it’s so simple but so good#the whole grain stuff is less histamine than regular pasta and bread so I’m enjoying myself with both!#parsley is also a good anti inflammatory so I chopped a bunch up and tossed in the pasta#also i tossed my frozen broccoli into the boiling pasta water for the last 3 minutes and then drained it with and it was perf#amethyst cooks#food

Being my own parent by making veggie loaded casserole and then yelling at myself to eat it despite not feeling hungry.
#my food#added leftover vegan chili con fake carne to the sauce for some protein bc it had beans and lentils in it#the sauce is more veggies than tomato tbh#two shredded carrots two leeks some a finely chopped chunk of another root vegetable which idr the name of#red onion and garlic obviously#a zucchini an aubergine two bell peppers and a good amount of green olives#plus like... a bunch of spices and fresh parsley and a generous amount of lemon juice#can barely taste anything bc my nose is clogged but that's probably for the best bc I always bite my tongue when I eat this???

tjs pre prepped veggie kits are a game changer
#i love those tubs of pre chopped mirepoix#and rn i'm using that seasonal holiday hash to make a soup rn and it smells amazing#but also just. bag of pre washed and chopped cabbage. that kinda stuff#ik those aren't unique to tjs except maybe the specific seasonal flavored stuff like the holiday hash#but tjs is where i do most of my shopping and i like their products#i love cooking but i can be strapped for time and energy so it's a gdsend to be able to just#dump a bag of veg into a pot and let it cook for half an hour. and then that's like three or four meals done.#sasha speaks#my soup smells good. i hope it tastes good. but the holiday hash sounded good and smells great#it's like. butternut squash sweet potato red onion celery rosemary sage and parsley#i dumped it into my instant pot with two chicken thighs seared in butter and flour then covered with broth and threw in some thyme#and hitting it on high for half an hour. it smells good#if my cream is still good i might finish it with that#but i think it'll be alright without it#soup is the best way to eat a huge bowl of tasty veggies...#which i need to do more of

having the most delicious dinner rn i buy this shahi paneer mix and eat it over basmati but there's always extra sauce left, so today i did red bell peppers and fried them with a little cumin and fennel seed (overkill, but i like when the little toasted seeds burst between your teeth) and then scrambled two eggs into the sauteed peppers and THEN just as the eggs were done cooking i put the leftover sauce and some feta on them and mixed it around so the feta would melt a bit and stuck it all in a bowl with the last of the basmati and oh my god dude . there's STILL sauce left over too so i could do it all over again tomorrow
#you better believe im eating it all with a good old pair of chopped stick too . not a traditionally indian food utensil but who gives a shit#absolutely nothing missing but maybe a few fresh cilantro leaves for garnish but i didnt have any . not even parsley#highly recommend esp with a g&t which is what im drinking to wash down the sauce . nice n cooling to offset the chili
