Mini-review:

Someday or One Day is one of my favorite dramas, so I was both excited and wary about this remake. I have to say it doesn't fully capture the unrepeteable magic of the original, but as far as remakes go, this is a really good one. They kept the plot and the characters almost intact, and that's why it works. This story is just really f**king good, so as long as you stick to its essence, there's no way you'll end up with a bad show. This version is a bit more confusing, though, since they had to cut and sum up some stuff to fit everything into 12 one-hour episodes, but it still works. The acting is pretty great too. Jeon Yeo Been pulls off the dual role with ease, and I was pleasantly surprised by Ahn Hyo Seop's performance (although nobody will ever top Alice Ko and Greg Hsu). Tbh, my biggest complaint is the cinematography. This remake looks so bland and lifeless when compared to the original. Anyway, I had fun reliving this story through a slightly different lense, and I think A Time Called You will be immensely loved by k-drama fans who haven't watched the masterful original.

LISTEN. I ain't never been scared of a cassette player like this in my life, not even Christine had me this shook. This damn drama is testing me cause every time I try to run it pulls me back in. I despise time travel films but here I am, as long as I don't have to relive one day... I have paid my Groundhog Day dues and I am done. Here I am like a fool thinking that this was going to be a straight line walk... then all of a sudden I have to start putting red strings on bodies to keep track. Choi Hyo-Bi stop smiling... I can feel your grin.... you play too much. YOU COULDN'T JUST DO ONE BODY. ONE. Was it a test to see what kind of damage you could do. You give me Hyo-seop and Rowoon in a BL story line and then you rip my fucking heart out for a BODY. I wanna fight you... ooo I wanna fight you... do you know what you've done with just a hand hold and then you destroyed me (even though I knew it was coming but not in that moment) you couldn't even wait to collect souls. At this point you Korean writers are just flexin' skills for the fun of it to see who can harvest more trauma stones. All I had to do was stay in my Martial Arts lane... You killed/raped my father/sister prepare to die... wash, rinse, and repeat.. I was safe. You got me playing Clue, Trouble, Life, Twister, Sorry!, Pictionary, Memory, every board game in the books. This is 3 different dramas in one with a murder mystery thriller. I'm stressed... pressure high... anxiety on edge but it will get watched... no matter how long it takes. I need to tuck in my emotions so I can survive this script...
