How about a Madeleine cookie and Dark choco fan kid?

Alright, here you go, this girl is Choco Madeleine Cookie

So for her name, I just looked up “are there chocolate flavored madeleines” and yeah, they’re just called chocolate madeleines. It’s pretty simple.

That’s the thing with Dark Choco, he’s the main representative of chocolate, meaning that when making a fankid with him, you can just go “just add chocolate” with a lot of these. I feel like it’s too easy. I mean I probably shouldn’t complain, I’m not spending ages looking for potential names, but still

I was considering changing it to a different food, but then I remembered that the Madeleine family tends to have Madeleine in their names, with Grand Madeleine Cookie and Madeleine Cookie, so it works

Chocolate madeleines:

I’ll be honest, I’m really proud of her design. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to pull off Madeleine’s relatively more complex costume and combine it with Dark Choco, but I think I did good. Her design is mainly based of Grand Madeleine and Dark Choco’s new costume, with some of the armor inspiration coming from Madeleine

I knew before making her that I wanted to make her hair dark brown. I chose to make her madeleines chocolate flavored since that’s what she is, but I have the normal flavored madeleines so that it all doesn’t blend together. I made her eyes and gems red because I thought it fit better with her browns than the blue

Also I saw a bunch of chocolate madeleines have powdered sugar on them, and I wanted to incorporate that. I was gonna put it on the madeleines, but it looked too crowded. Then I decided to put it on the cape, and I think it looks good. Also a little call back to her grandfather

I was also considering giving her long hair, given everyone else in her family, but I thought she looked good with short hair

So on to Choco Madeleine herself, so she’s a warrior, just like her parents. She’s from the Crème Republic (since Dark Choco’s whole status is uncertain at best. Though that’s not to say she doesn’t visit her grandfather’s kingdom), and is heir of House Madeleine. She’s a good fighter and is seen as a vigilant warrior. In reality though, she’s an absolute ball of anxiety, and has a difficult time interacting in social situations. Internally she’s a nervous wreck, but somehow her words filter out to make her seem like a functional, if not constantly serious, person

I also drew her as a small. It was a quick sketch, so I’ll probably refine it if I draw her later, which I do want to

I feel bad that I have so much to say about her (as well as Mallomar), when I have little to say about Biscotti. Like I swear, I don’t want to seem biased because Dark Choco is a hyperfixation character of mine, and make it seem like the only ones I care about are those with him in it, and that I’m putting less effort into the other ones, it’s just that I end up making up more stuff with them. Granted, it’s probably a mixture of “it’s easy to come up with foods for them because you just need to add chocolate/I already have ideas for them before drawing” and “I already know the character and what they’re all about so I know where to go when it comes to making their fankid”, but still. I don’t want to seem unfair with it, but that’s just how it seems to pan out

Though perhaps another reason is the fact that in both scenarios, Choco Madeleine and Mallomar were the second ones I drew that day, so maybe it’s that my creative juices were already flowing and I could make stuff easier

But yeah, tangent aside, here she is, I hope you like her

Regarding your post about giving Dark Choco a second parent, I feel like Cocoa Butter would fit since its one of the ingredients used with cacao to make dark chocolate. Coconut Sugar or Cocoa Powder could work as well. Also, which are the fankids you've made that you like the most?

Hmm, I see what you’re saying, but also cocoa butter still comes from cacao, so there’s still the question of where the sugar in Dark Choco comes from

(Maybe I could use Cocoa Butter for the purecacao kid, that’d be cool. But also I’m gonna use KitKats for her design, hence why I was calling her Choco Wafer. But also also I’m so stringent on this fact and it’s severely limiting me I think, maybe I just need to stop. But also also also, I’d imagine a Cocoa Butter Cookie to have blonde hair, and Choco Wafer has dark brown hair, and I’d probably completely change the character despite me putting so much into Choco Wafer. *groan* I’ve made this so difficult for myself and it’s my own fault) Disregard all this, I’m just having an internal conflict. But I do think it’d be a good pick for a purecacao kid

I’m actually already planning to use Cocoa Powder for a fankid, so that’s already take

I suppose nothing’s wrong with Coconut Sugar, other than maybe the sugar is too dark for my ideas. But I’m biased against it because I don’t like coconuts, but that’s purely a personal thing

Now which fankids do I like the most? Well generally it has to do with how much I like their designs. But I’d say some of my favorites are Choco Madeleine, Iced Coffee Cookie, Turtle Fudge Cookie, Red Mochi Cookie, Dark Plum Cookie, Vampire Shrimp Cookie, Violet Sugar Cookie, Charcoal Cheese Cookie (even if he’s in limbo right now), and Chowder Cookie and Purple Plum Cookie

I fully admit that these are disproportionately Dark Choco Cookie fankids, but one I have a disproportionate amount of them, and two I guess I just ended up putting more into them? I feel bad about that, makes me feel like I only care if it’s one of my hyperfixation characters. Now I want to try and put extra effort in my non Dark Choco/Cacao ones (also truth be told I’m getting a bit sick of Dark Cacao ones, I have 9 total, not counting the two I’m redoing, most unfinished and I don’t tend to have many options for what to do. Dark Choco at least has more options for things to do since he’s not tied down to the kingdom)

"...and what brings you here?" asked the paladin, his chest still heaving. His breaths were visible in the crisp morning air, puffing out in thick clouds and dissipating into nothing. His sword was jerkily pulled out from the mountain beast he'd just slain, and was almost immediately dressed with an off-colored cloth to wipe it clean.

Dark Choco watched him with a minor look of disdain and next to no interest in answering back. He kneeled down to pull his pack out of the snow where he'd abandoned it earlier, and dusted it off with a few firm pats. He replied, "That's none of your business."

The paladin furrowed his brows, and not a moment passed before he spoke loudly again, "Well, I'm sure it must be a noble cause, whatever it is."

Dark Choco paused, recalculating. "...Noble?" What the hell would give him that idea? Last Dark Choco recalled, he was anything but that. His past was long and convoluted, and he'd prefer to keep it out of the way as he travelled. Digging up old memories wasn't exactly a fun experience.

"Yes, you're a knight, are you not?" The paladin asked, scanning Dark Choco up and down.

"Not anymore," Dark Choco huffed, easing his backpack onto his shoulders. The weight of it distracted him from his lack of sword. He had no intention of getting a new one.

"Ah," the paladin's speech faltered, "you compose yourself like a knight, is all. May I have the courtesy of knowing your name?" With his sword back in its sheath, he bumbled his way over with far too much energy, kicking up snow in his way. From the looks of it, his boots weren't built for the cold. They were plated in white armor, far too extravagant for anything from the Cacao Kingdom.

"No," Dark Choco said, shaking his head, "I'd rather not say."

"Then I won't make you. You may call me Madeleine." Madeleine held out a hand, a big grin on his freckled face. He had dimples.

Dark Choco reluctantly shook it, surprised by how firm his grip was. The paladin was strong; that should be enough to get him through the routes, even with the upcoming cold front. If he could handle the monsters, it should be alright.

He let go of the hand in favor of digging his compass out of his pocket, reorienting himself northwest. "Well, it was interesting meeting you... Madeleine..."

"Wait," Madeleine blurted, looking down over Dark Choco's shoulder, "I believe we're going to the same town."

Dark Choco sidestepped and faced him, already having an idea where this was going. "No, I don't have enough provisions for two." Hell, he hardly had enough for himself. The recent snow storm came faster than he anticipated, and he'd fallen short while waiting for it to pass. He couldn't take a traveling partner if he wanted to.

"That shouldn't be a problem, I have enough for myself," Madeleine said, "I packed for a long journey."

Dark Choco hummed to himself. If that was the case, it might be worthwhile to look into. He could be useful. "Do you have extra firestarters?"

"I do."

"Soap?" Dark choco tried. He'd run out a while back, and he desperately needed more.

"Of course!" It was no wonder with how nice his hair looked; it was definitely well maintained.

"Good. I would like some. In exchange..." Dark Choco pocketed his compass, "I can guide you. I know this area."

Madeleine nodded, the fresh snow crunching under his boots as he walked ahead. "Then its settled. I look forward to being in your care."

Dark Choco fell in step beside him, sighing heavily. These next few days were going to be long ones.
