I was also clueless enough to think the Philippines had different timezones, and by the time we landed I innocently asked my parents what time it was there, hehehe.

the atots experience really is one of a kind. it had been well-written and thought out, the acting was above and beyond, and although it constantly kept me on the edge of my seat, it still held me close, looked after my heart and my well-being, just truly became that emotional support weekend mountain village escape. totally unforgettable and a must-watch. thank you for the experience. take me back to pha pun dao. 🌱🌿🍃⭐🌟🌠

As an avid fan of crime mystery series, Trese is worth watching. Really enjoyed the show, especially the fight scenes, and every time there are new cases involving mythical creatures.

Watched the whole series with Filipino audio. I tried switching to different languages from time to time to see the difference. Well, the JP dub is always top tier. The Eng dub was also great.

Medyo nakukulangan lang ako sa voice acting ni Liza, but it's okay, I know may room for improvement naman. Considering that she's new to voice acting and she's not used to speaking in Filipino. As for the other voice actors, they did an exceptional job!

I hope that next time if producers will have local animation projects, they will cast professional voice actors because that is their realm where they can shine. TV actors already have their teleseryes and films.

However, given the fact that the Philippine Animation Industry is just starting, animation studios have to cast celebrities to boost the popularity of a particular show. More support from the fans equals more money, hence, there would be enough funds for the production team. Animation projects are hard, takes a lot of time, and are expensive to make.

For me, it's okay to cast celebs for voice acting naman eh, as long as they fit the role. The quality of the performance goes hand in hand with directing rin naman.

I hope nga lang in the future, they would give chance to professional VA's. Ang daming magagaling na hindi nabigyan ng opurtunidad na maipakita ang kanilang talento.

On the other hand, the storyline, character design, ost's, animation, and visuals are really good considering that this is the first Netflix anime series from the Philippines.

Thanks to the creators of Trese, Kajo Baldisimo (artist) & Budjette Tan (writer), as well as to the production team behind the anime adaption who brought the story to life. I'm glad it is now released on the global streaming platform because the story can reach a wider audience.

I badly want to read the original comics because I'm so hooked sa story. I'm currently at the edge of my seat and wondering what would happen next to team Trese after episode 6. I've seen some tidbits from the comics. The art by Kajo is astounding! How I wish I could buy them all. As of now, Trese is still ongoing and has 7 volumes with 30+ cases.

We grew up hearing different stories about aswangs, tikbalang, tiyanak, kapre, duwendes/nuno sa punso, etc. from our parents and grandparents. It was great to know that we have such amazing and fascinating mythology that has been passed down from generation to generation by our ancestors that made our culture rich.

I'm also grateful that Filipino folklore has inspired brilliant writers and artists to create masterpieces. Hoping to see more animated series from local comics!

My favs from the series are, of course, the kambal —Crispin and Basilio! I love their character design and personality. They balanced the mood for the team and the whole series. A little humor amidst the dark, thrilling, and suspense that was going on around them. If Basilio will tie his hair into a man bun further in the series, then ohmygaadd that would be so freaking cool! (and many viewers will simp for him more lol) 

The end credits scene seems like hyping for the next season. Hoping for Season 2!

The flaw in Liza's voice acting is not that big deal to me since she can improve pa naman. The storyline itself piqued my interest, so overall I would give it a 🌟: 10/10

PS. I wish they would make a giant ChocNut bar. It's my childhood fav! When you happen to pass by a manhole, just bribe Nuno with ChocNut then voila! you can ask him for life advice but first, don’t forget to say “Tabi tabi po” or else mamalasin ka sa lab layf mo lol

Why am I always not chosen?

Why do I always have to beg that I am worthy of their love, too?

No sleep for two days. Spent it crying. I told Joecel about what happened and she got.so mad. But she told me that at least, m mom and God saved me from the wrong person.

It is the going through it that really kills me but I have no choice.

I loved her. I had a ring ordered when told me the size of her ring finger.

But I have never been so betrayed in my life.

Why did she allow to last for a year? Was my suffering her ego boost?

I have only good intentions but she cannot even show the slightest decency of respect to my feelings.

That I am also suffering here. No electricity for 2 years. Lucky to be able had a meal for a day just so I can send a financial aid to her.

But nothing.

I feel so worthless. Shit. Crap. Tanso.

Chocnut knows I am reaching a mental breakdown because he always follows me around. Knows me too well. Barked when i smoked a pack of cigarettes.

Have you ever been in weather below 0 Fahrenheit (-17 Celsius)? Nah. The coldest I’ve experienced was probably something like 10 or 11ºC, when I was in Japan. At the time I still didn’t care too much for traveling and ended up being really underdressed for the weather, so I was extremely uncomfortable the whole time we were roaming around the city. Have you ever been caught outdoors away from shelter during a thunderstorm? LOL yes, notably on the last night of my college internship. My car was parked in another building so I had to walk outdoors, when all of a sudden it fucking poured. I ran to the nearest building for shelter but I was still absolutely drenched and ended up having to call my mom (who works in the same city) to ask her to come pick me up.

What’s your favorite macaron flavor? Chocnut or milk chocolate.

How often do you have friends over to your house? Once in a blue moon. I had my ex over all the time but since then I’ve only had one friend - Angela - come over once.

Have you ever had a boss who acted unprofessionally? I mean, we’re very open with each other with regard to our frustrations at work.  That could technically count as unprofessional but I’m honestly just glad we don’t have to be fake around one another and pretend like everything’s dandy.

How many times have you stayed at a hotel in the past year, and where? Just once, for my dad’s birthday. We stayed in Tagaytay for a weekend though we Airbnb’d a condo unit and not a hotel.

Did you buy the last thing you bought with your own money? If not, whose money did you buy it with? Yabu because I was craving; paid with my own money. It actually feels pretty weird because Yabu had been mine and my ex’s thing, and I haven’t had their food since the breakup. I’m looking forward to having it again tonight and finally changing the narrative for it.

Do you like to put your feet up on the dashboards of cars? Do you parents yell at you if you do that in cars? I don’t like to do it but I’ll sometimes do it if I wanna feel relaxed. No, it wouldn’t bother them too much.

Are you more of a dog or cat person? Dog.

Have you ever failed math? Just the advanced courses, like calculus, back in high school. I find math pretty fun and easy if I get the topic and know the formulas; but if I find something hard, it’s very difficult for me to keep up. There’s really no in between haha I either pass with flying colors or absolutely flop.

Skittles! What's your favorite color? Whichever’s not too sour. Idk, I never buy Skittles.

Have you ever had a dream of stabbing someone? Nope but I used to have nightmares of watching my loved ones get shot.

What would you want your last words to be if you could choose them? That I had fun.

Can you sleep with the light on? Only if I’m pissed tired. Otherwise bright lights would bother me.

What’s the most bizarre horror movie you’ve ever seen? I know my answer won’t count as it doesn’t technically fall under horror, but Eraserhead was just very bizarre and unsettling. I’ve never seen the whole film without pausing several times.

What band can’t you stand listening to? Again, this probably won’t count as they’re a boy band/group more than anything, but I cannot stand The Vamps.

Would you ever take a lie detector test for your significant other? Yeah, sure, I guess, for fun. I think those are mostly bullshit anyway so I’ll only take a test with bullshit questions as well.

What is your favorite Mystery/Crime/FBI related show? Those genres never really were my cup of tea.

Would you ever have a bird as a pet? We had two lovebirds some years ago. They were lovely, but idk if we’d do it again. No reason, just that we prefer dogs.

How's your relationship between you and your grandparents? It’s great, even with my maternal grandpa who’s already passed. But I’m well aware of the fact that they’re also a bit wary of me since I’m the most vocal and outspoken of all their grandchildren, whereas they’re intensely conservative and traditional. Still, I always feel their love, especially through food and how they always make sure to stuff me whenever I come over haha.

Ever had a forbidden love or lover? In a sense, yeah. I was in a same-sex relationship that I hid from my family for four years.

Have you ever had to speak at a funeral?  I’ve never been to a funeral but I doubt I could speak at one without breaking down.

Do you know someone who’s been cremated?  Yes, my grandpa was cremated.

What is your current problem?  Just some deliverables at work that I would rather not think about now.

Do you like canopy beds?  Eh, I don’t mind them.

What is your favorite animated movie?  Toy Story.

Would you rather live in a small town or a big city?  Big city. I need lots of noise, lots of activity and lights where I live. I’ve lived in suburban neighborhoods all my life and I would love a change in pace.

If you could summon any animal to come to your rescue, what animal would it be and why?  Idk.

Have you ever watched The Golden Girls?  I’ve watched snippets and it’s HILARIOUS. I’ve always wanted to start the series but never knew where to watch it.

Did you ever like the Ninja Turtles? Was never into it, no.

Last alcoholic drink you had?  Peach soju and plum soju that got me absolutely hammered.

What are you known for?  These days, probably for doing an extreme 180 and having my life be all about BTS now.

Has anyone ever threatened you?  Yes.

Have you ever gone frog hunting?  No? Doesn’t sound like my type of activity at all.

Do you ever suffer from dry skin?  Yeah my face is a little dry, but I don’t think it’s something I ‘suffer’ from since no issues have come out of it so far. It’s just the way it is.

Do you still sleep with a stuffed animal?  Not a stuffed animal but I need to hug a pillow to fall asleep.

What’s the weather like right this moment?  It’s weather that says “it’s gonna get really hot in an hour or so” and I’m not enjoying that very much.

Do you bite on straws, lollipop handles, or ice cream sticks?  If there’s no trash can around, I tend to.

In what type of area was your first sexual encounter?  It was in a hotel.

Where is your mother’s side of the family descended from?  Just somewhere in the Philippines.

What do you occupy your time with on flights?  I’m honestly really happy with just staring out the window. If not that, I bring something to read or listen to music. I haven’t had a flight that lasted 6+ hours, but I imagine I would also bring my laptop for a series or movies to watch if I find myself in that situation.

Do you dog-ear pages in books?  Yup.

What’s a made up word of yours?  I don’t think I have any.

Do you use Q-Tips?  I do.

Ever gone out with somebody you didn’t like?  No. I don’t think I could bring myself to do that.

What hero or heroine do you most relate to in history, fiction, or song?  I don’t really like content with a hero/ine plot.

What makes you dizzy?  Amusement park rides, car rides, headaches.

Are your parents liberal or conservative?  Conservative.

Do you like your teeth? Did you have braces?  Not my middle teeth, but in general yeah. I did have braces but I lost my retainers at one point so my teeth just went back to their original position eventually.

Are you happy with your height?  It’s fine. I’m small but it’s the average here so I don’t really complain.

Yarn: What are your most enjoyable hobbies?

I’ve been more idle than productive these days but indoor hobbies I enjoy are: listening to music, watching movies and TV shows, writing, singing, dancing, drawing (I’m not really good at it though, heh :^D), and playing computer/video games! 

Outdoor hobbies include anything that gets me on the water like swimming or kayaking (I never refuse the opportunity :D). There’s also biking, zumba dancing, and practicing my kata whenever I get off my ass for once XD

Woods: Where do you feel at peace?

At the beach or somewhere in the mountains where it’s cool and foggy ^_^ Bonus points if it’s a bit windy (But not shiver-inducing!).

Sweet: What candies or cakes are you fond of?

Ooo, I love this question! Mainly chocolate but specifically I’m fond of Toblerone, White Rabbit Cream Candy, ChocNut, and Pocky Sticks! As for cakes, I’m weak for the Filipino Purple Yam Cake (or Ube Cake for short XD), Mango Cream, and Coffee Crumble! Sweet bonus if they’re ice cream cakes *drools*

I decided that I want to share some memories here in tumblr too since it’s always just words that are sad. 

OCTOBER 27,2019 (Sunday)

I’m at bliss right now because of yesterday when we went to tagaytay with the Japanese. There were 7 of them, 4 boys; takumi, ryusei, towa, katchan and 3 girls; misaki, rin, mayu. There were 4 lsa's me, elle, danice and camille. Since Saturday I couldn't focus on studying because I'm thinking what will happen in Tagaytay. I'm always zoning out until after I got home so I'll tell you how it went because it's still fresh in my mind and I know after a few days I might forget it because of acads so I want the future me to remember how fun and happy I am right now. I've always been fascinated with Japanese culture, my dream country is Japan because I love anime and they influenced me a lot. It was so fun when we got to hangout with Misaki and the others at the first time, I wasn't able to talk to the boys that time and I'm a little bit sad but I tried my best this time. I'm glad that Misaki and I chatted and she told me they're free on October 27 Sunday and they wanted to go to Tagaytay. At first we invited other LSA if they wanted to come so it'll be fun but only me, danice and El were sure rolaine bailed but I mean what do you expect lol but El invited Camille so it's fun. also I legit made a note titled "topic" so I can talk to them. We were stressed in the morning because there's no grab we don't know what to do we're freaking out in the car while we see them going down it's so funny. Thank you to Camille she's the best some were able to commute  and the girls rode the car with El and me. The boys, camille and danice commuted. It wasn't traffic Thank God and we went to Skyranch. The guard saw them and he's like "ni hao" lmao and I said they're Japanese and it's "konnichiwa" HAHHAHHAA. We first rode the worst ride possibly the Vikings.  I had the same feeling as before I got dizzy I want to throw up. I kept screaming and my hands are shaking it's crazy. The japanese are only chill like how??? After that we took pictures for the gram you know, then rode the bike kind of and I was seated with Ryusei because there are 7 of them it's not even and we have to seat by partner it's fun though I wanted to seat beside him as well lol. We ate after we just walked and I talked to Misaki I love her!! I also gave Takumi my jacket so they have cover and he's selfish he's not sharing with Towa saying Towa likes the heat lmao. We ate at Ridge Park, bahay kubo and yum bulalo, tempura (with kangkong) and sisig!! Their favorite. We also played uno before and gee I got 3 +4 and we didn't finished because the food is already there. We ate and ate itadakimasu! After we taught towa more Filipino words and he's literally so funny I think I'll just laugh every time I'm with him. He even said he's Filipino. We went to Daiso for a while because they wanted to and Camille said "is there Daiso in Japan?" and I'm like "it's Daiso Japan" and we all laughed. I saw an Ariana Grande dangerous woman cat mask and I told it to towa and he's like "it fits you" lmao. I talked to toa and takumi for a while it's fun hehehe. I'm so talkative. After that we went back to Skyranch, the lines were so long so we just chilled first. It started to rain a bit and I'm like their mom telling them to be in the shade (in the cottage) because they might get sick of the rain. We rode the Tower and I wanted to seat beside a Japanese too bad hahaha but it's fun I didn't scream it's just a chill ride. I swear it used to spin before what happened??? After that they went to the ferris wheel while me and the girls took pics and selfies lol. We just ate snacks after and I let them try pochi, chocnut, potato, moby. I swear I love them I'll buy them more food next time  Takumi's reactions are the best and I let them try sago't gulaman they liked it. Towa almost put the sago gulaman in his halo halo I'm deds.  Also it's hard for them to mix the halo halo hehe kawaiii. Also when I told takumi if he wants chocnut I think he wants all the left out lmao it's funny is he greedy or am I just selfish hahahaha.  I feel bad though so I'll buy them soon hehe. After that we went home, I'm the one who commuted with Camille and the boys but it's just easier so it's fine just a bus and tricycle. I talked to katchan a lot and he's so fun to be with. He had family relatives he wants me to go to Japan and he called me pretty and he said he wants to hang out more lmao!!!! After that we delivered them to RCC and he took a selfie it's funny tho because we're joking we just wanna sleep here since we'll be early tomorrow and ryusei asked the guard to take a picture of us and he said no and their faces are like "nani" like scared lmao. At the end it's really fun and I'm sad that the day was over. I can't wait to hang out with them.
