Oh My Greek, ZIG, and Koomi Open Together in Greenhills
Visum Ventures, the country’s fastest growing food and beverage company, has opened another new location to the delight of their avid customers. This time, it’s not just one of their popular brands that you can enjoy in this prime spot, but three of their unique signature labels combined in one multi-brand venue. From breakfast, afternoon cocktails, all the way to dinner and tapas, guests can enjoy all of their fantastic offerings in one place any time of the day.
You can find Oh My Greek, ZIG, and Koomi at the ground floor of the P6 Parking Building in Greenhills. This newly opened al fresco-only dining spot combines all three specialty brands and you can cross-order from any of them while sitting at your table. Best of all, they open at 7:00am so you can get your early morning breakfast even while most of the malls and restaurants are still closed. Late night tapas and drinks are also very welcome since they are available until 12 midnight.
This is the second multi-brand location for Visum Ventures after their first one opened last December at BGC High Street South. The Greenhills outlet has streetside access right in front of the Theatre Mall and beside the Promenade building, so it is a great place to meet up with friends while enjoying the breeze.
I’ve tried almost all the brands under Visum Ventures like Salt and Ice, T2 Tea, ZIG and Koomi, but this is the first time for me to dine at Oh My Greek. They specialize in traditional Greek comfort food such as gyros, salads, lamb chops, dips, coffee, and Loukomades or Greek donuts.
Just beside OMG is its sister brand Zig: Healthy Made Happy which specializes in healthy items such as salad bowls, wraps, sushi bowls, salad pizzas, and fresh drinks. Don’t be intimidated by the word “healthy” because they offer the tastiest and yummiest salads you can find in the city. I found this out myself when I dined at their branch in Robinsons Magnolia (Read about it here).
Finally, right at the corner is Koomi, everyone’s new favorite yogurt drink. This healthier alternative from Australia lets everyone enjoy natural drinking yogurt with various delicious and fresh ingredients. There are so many exciting flavors to choose from, each with their own unique and interesting names like Will Ube Me Mine, Avo Nice Day, or Banana Dance with Some Berries (Read about it here). They now have over 60 branches of Koomi all over the Philippines, a testament to how Filipinos are now embracing this new healthy beverage.
Since the Greenhills outlets have longer operating hours, they can serve items that are not available at their other mall branches. So we started with the Yogurt Granola (P270) from OMG. This healthy and yummy bowl comes with fresh homemade yogurt from Koomi, blueberries, strawberries, OMG Granola and Calamansi Jam.
They also have open-faced sandwiches on the breakfast menu like the Smashed Avocado (P320) with Halloumi Cheese and poached eggs on a toasted sourdough bread.
You can also order breakfast items from ZIG like the Strawberry & Lemon Ricotta Sourdough (P350). This colorful dish comes with lemon ricotta, strawberry, homemade granola, and honey on a toasted sourdough.
On the other hand, the Smoked Salmon & Cheese Sourdough (P380) is topped with tasty smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, capers and fresh dill.
Another option is their Mushroom & Truffle Sourdough (P390) which really smells so good. This toasted sourdough comes with mushroom, fresh parsley, and truffle oil for a very fragrant combination.
I recommend trying one of their signature items, the Mini Croissant Cereal (P310). This pretty dish comes with their homemade mini croissant which are each delicately handmade. The bowl also has fresh strawberries, edible flowers and is doused with T2 Tea-infused Very Berry Milk for a one-of-a-kind breakfast.
If you’re going to Greenhills later in the day, enjoy a leisurely afternoon with friends and order any of their cocktails specials. The OMG Red Sangria (P360) is a refreshing and fruity glass of red wine mixed with apples, strawberries, and oranges.
The guys will probably prefer having the Cinnamon Whiskey (P340) with its clean tasting cinnamon-infused whiskey.
Another option at OMG is the Mixed Berries Mojito (P390). This has a combination of white rum, mint, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and lime. ZIG also has its own lineup of colorful cocktails like the Red Lips (P360) with its vodka, watermelon, and lemon.
Other options at ZIG include You Are My Sunshine (P360) with a fruity combination of vodka, peach liqueur, and dalandan. Then there is the luscious French Kiss (P380) with Amaretto, bourbon, lemon, and cherry on top.
For those who are not into alcoholic drinks, there are several other Healthy Drinks at ZIG in partnership with Pure Nectar. My favorite is the Orange Zing (P220) with its mix of orange, pineapple, carrots, ginger, and turmeric.
Or you can just order a tall glass of Frappe (P120) at OMG. This Greek-style coffee comes with milk and sugar served over ice.
For those late night cravings, the Greenhills outlets are open all the way until 12:00 midnight so you can still enjoy their drinks and dishes before going home. The Squash Blossoms (P380) are bite-sized squash flowers with goat’s cheese, micro greens, and Napoletana sauce.
We loved eating the Tuna and Avocado Tartare (P390) with its fresh tuna, avocado, sesame oil, and micro greens. Get a piece of the chips served with the tartare then scoop and bite a mouthful.
The Pumpkin Ravioli (P420) is another flavorful item with its pumpkin-filled ravioli, fresh zucchini, roasted pistachio, burnt butter and sage noisette. These Tasty Tapas from ZIG are only available in selected branches.
There’s also the Hot Chips Overload (P295) from OMG. These thick hand-cut potatoes are served on a big bowl with melted cheese, pork gyro meat, and chopped cilantro. It’s definitely enough for the entire table.
For dessert, we ordered the aptly named Mike’s Mess (P410) from ZIG, which was named after the CEO of Visum Ventures, John-Michael Hilton. Mike also did the courtesy of breaking the merengue for us which turned into a mess of fresh cream, strawberries and passion fruit.
There are a lot more dessert options right next door at Koomi. Aside from the catchy names and flavors of their yogurt beverages, Koomi also just launched their new Froyo (Frozen Yogurt) items. The Snowy Fuji Froyo (P175) comes with their signature yogurt, mango, red bean, purple rice, and topped with a waffle cone. There’s also the Waterberry Wonder Froyo (P145) with its strawberries, watermelon, and pistachio toppings.
We would like to thank John-Michael Hilton for hosting our little Greenhills get-together at Oh My Greek, ZIG, and Koomi. Their al fresco dining environment is really a great and safe place to meet with friends and family while enjoying all these delicious items any time of the day. Congratulations to Visum Ventures for another successful location!
