When Lee Sa-young and Cha Eui-jae made that deal in chap 22 (15 in the manhwa) I totally thought it was going to be a case inwhich the rich and powerful Sa-young continuously harasses Eui-jae bc he can’t actually retaliate without giving his identity away. To my surprise, Eui-jae does retaliate! And totally gives his identity away! Like immediately! And then the rest of the novel goes like

I think about how Trey constantly makes This Expression 💀 and then I have a little laugh and move on with my day, only for it to inevitably happen again a few weeks or months later.

LIKE THIS WAS AN INTENTIONAL DESIGN CHOICE. The Magical Archives book states ghat he smiles when he is uncomfortable which must be very often and that his face isn’t built in a “gentle” way. Sometimes other characters remark that Trey looks scarier when he squints (ie Playful Land) or Trey himself will confess to his vibes being different when he does so (his Halloween vignettes).

No one else makes this face THIS often 😭 Trey “if you keep making that face, it’ll be stuck like that” Clover...

P.S. The faces taken from the Episode of Heartslabyul manga only cover like 2-3 chapters of the 20 total chapters; I did not want to headhunt for more of those Trey Clover shots in the other chapters OTL

Ye old Shen twins au where they both become peak lords EXCEPT.
