space fashion barbie dress up simulator oh, I mean, Tyr wraps up work on Balmorra, having miraculously, by the skin of his teeth, kept Sanju alive and from blowing the entire operation despite the pair of them sharing some semblance of a conscience. (His honest advice, Sanju? Stay out of this, maybe. You’re too nice. This work is gonna eat you, you keep it up, buddy.)
Ngl I totally forgot he had something to say in a whole-ass cutscene on your way out the door and I was just expecting a line of dialogue or smth like your crewmates on the ship when they don’t have an active life story mission to give you. I vaguely recall this from run #1 now that I’ve seen it again, but! Neat!
Amused to see Tyr’s issues have been biting him in the ass way longer than I remembered/he admitted, lmao

Woe to Tyrants
1 Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression, 2 to turn aside the needy from justice and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey! 3 What will you do on the day of punishment, in the storm which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth? 4 Nothing remains but to crouch among the prisoners or fall among the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away and his hand is stretched out still.
Arrogant Assyria Also Judged 5 Ah, Assyria, the rod of my anger, the staff of my fury! 6 Against a godless nation I send him, and against the people of my wrath I command him, to take spoil and seize plunder, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. 7 But he does not so intend, and his mind does not so think; but it is in his mind to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few; 8 for he says: “Are not my commanders all kings? 9 Is not Calno like Car′chemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samar′ia like Damascus? 10 As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols whose graven images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samar′ia, 11 shall I not do to Jerusalem and her idols as I have done to Samar′ia and her images?”
12 When the Lord has finished all his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem he will punish the arrogant boasting of the king of Assyria and his haughty pride. 13 For he says:
“By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding; I have removed the boundaries of peoples, and have plundered their treasures; like a bull I have brought down those who sat on thrones. 14 My hand has found like a nest the wealth of the peoples; and as men gather eggs that have been forsaken so I have gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved a wing, or opened the mouth, or chirped.”
15 Shall the axe vaunt itself over him who hews with it, or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? As if a rod should wield him who lifts it, or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood! 16 Therefore the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will send wasting sickness among his stout warriors, and under his glory a burning will be kindled, like the burning of fire. 17 The light of Israel will become a fire, and his Holy One a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and briers in one day. 18 The glory of his forest and of his fruitful land the Lord will destroy, both soul and body, and it will be as when a sick man wastes away. 19 The remnant of the trees of his forest will be so few that a child can write them down.
The Repentant Remnant of Israel
20 In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean upon him that smote them, but will lean upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. 21 A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God. 22 For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, overflowing with righteousness. 23 For the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will make a full end, as decreed, in the midst of all the earth.
24 Therefore thus says the Lord, the Lord of hosts: “O my people, who dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrians when they smite with the rod and lift up their staff against you as the Egyptians did. 25 For in a very little while my indignation will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction. 26 And the Lord of hosts will wield against them a scourge, as when he smote Mid′ian at the rock of Oreb; and his rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it as he did in Egypt. 27 And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke will be destroyed from your neck.”
He has gone up from Rimmon, 28 he has come to Ai′ath; he has passed through Migron, at Michmash he stores his baggage; 29 they have crossed over the pass, at Geba they lodge for the night; Ramah trembles, Gib′e-ah of Saul has fled. 30 Cry aloud, O daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O La′ishah! Answer her, O An′athoth! 31 Madme′nah is in flight, the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety. 32 This very day he will halt at Nob, he will shake his fist at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
33 Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts will lop the boughs with terrifying power; the great in height will be hewn down, and the lofty will be brought low. 34 He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an axe, and Lebanon with its majestic trees will fall. — Isaiah 10 | Revised Standard Version (RSV) Revised Standard Version of the Bible, copyright © 1946, 1952, and 1971 the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. ~∗⁘☆ vaguely 1900's Sophie - build update #1!! ☆⁘ ∗~
This summer I decided to undertake my first historically inspired cosplay, from one of my all time favorite movies -- Howl's Moving Castle! They live in a fantasy world, of course, but it's clear that certain historical periods inspired the visuals. When you search 'this 'When does Howl's Moving Castle take place', Google's AI says 'The Eduardian period, in the first half of the 19th century'. (those of u who know history things will realize that the Eduardian period is very much not in the first half of the 19th century...) Anywho, we're going with early 1900's/Eduardian!!~
The first chunk of this build on the chopping block is the undergarments! I really want to nail a historical shape for this build, and the right undergarments make the silhouette happen.
Tumblr media
The first two I made are shown below: A very basic (and very anachronistic) chemise, and a pair of bloomers. The chemise goes below the corset, and is less for structure and more for to protect your skin from being irritated or pinched by the corset. I've been calling this my chemish, because it's chemise...ish. (Also, fwiw I'm going to be using a store bought corset, bc my skill level is not at corsetry yet)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bloomers is just a fancy name for floofy old timey shorts that go under dresses and skirts. This iconic scene above is one of the only ones that references the understructure layer that Sophie would be wearing in this time period, and we can clearly see her bloomers and petticoat! (She's also wearing stockings ofc, but I'm opting not to do that because I'll be wearing this costume in August and I'm not trying to die from heat).
3 more undergarments remain: the corset cover, the petticoat (aka underskirt), and the hip/bum pads. These all help get the smooth and snatched historical shape -- corset covers smooth out the top edge of the corset and makes your bust look fuller, the petticoat gives your skirt volume, and the hip pads make your butt/hips look bigger, while also propping up all the weight of your floofy flowy skirts. All 3 of these garments add volume above and below your waist, thus making your waist look even more snatched by comparison.
Up next: the final 3 undergarment pieces, and then the final dress! T minus ~5 weeks until the deadline. More soon!

Helaman Chapter 5, Part 2. "Shafts in the Whirlwind."
Tumblr media
9 O remember, remember, my sons, the words which king Benjamin spake unto his people; yea, remember that there is no other way nor means whereby man can be saved, only through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, who shall come; yea, remember that he cometh to redeem the world.
10 And remember also the words which Amulek spake unto Zeezrom, in the city of Ammonihah; for he said unto him that the Lord surely should come to redeem his people, but that he should not come to redeem them in their sins, but to redeem them from their sins.
11 And he hath power given unto him from the Father to redeem them from their sins because of repentance; therefore he hath sent his angels to declare the tidings of the conditions of repentance, which bringeth unto the power of the Redeemer, unto the salvation of their souls.
12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
There is an important reference to the Words of King Benjamin in the Book of Omni, which states they reside in the Jaredite Plates. It is a one chapter Book, reprinted below, and my suspicion is the Words of Amulek are also on the Plates.
One concerns the evil of capitalism which requires a slave trade, the other which are found in Alma Chapter 9, state the Holy Ghost will not avail a sinner of the Gift of Translation.
The Value in Gematria for v. 12 is 12327, יב‎גבז‎ , yav gebaz. "May God reproach the gathering of the locusts."
To shed the Blood of Atonement means to reproach the wind that carries the locusts in it, ie. all this gossip and debate over whether or not it is okay to violent and awful all of the time.
To be washed in the blood of atonement is accept the Decrees have been violated and profound changes in thinking and behavior are in order.
The Shafts in the Whirlwind are the arguments for the Godly traits named in the Torah, which are obviously meant for the locusts it carries.
Reprinted for convenience is the Book of Omni mentioned above.
The Book of Omni. "The Keeper of the Secret."
Omni, Amaron, Chemish, Abinadom, and Amaleki, each in turn, keep the records—Mosiah discovers the people of Zarahemla "the place of enlightenment", who came from Jerusalem in the days of Zedekiah—Mosiah is made king over them—The descendants of Mulek at Zarahemla had discovered Coriantumr, the last of the Jaredites—King Benjamin succeeds Mosiah—Men should offer their souls as an offering to Christ. About 323–130 B.C.
Omni= Om= Bound like a sheaf to an insight from above, Ni= the people. The Book of Mormon is obviously not written in English and needs to be unbound in order to be properly understood.
Amaron=Amar= to speak, On= of the sun, of the Pillar
Chemish= chem is bread, ish is man, "the Bread Made Man."
Abinadom=Ab=father, nadab=to be generous or noblem to give, if we make it nadom, it becomes "Adom" or "edom" or "committed to God."
Amaleki= One who is wrung free of violence. An Amalek is one who endured the Flood and has had enough and is "wrung free" of the floodwaters. This matches our Gematria:
323-130 is "From Capitalism to the Flood." AKA Parsha Pleion:
Pleíōn, "numerically more" and 2192 /éxō, "have") – properly, the desire for more (things), i.e. lusting for a greater number of temporal things that go beyond what God determines is eternally best (beyond His preferred-will, cf. 2307 /thélēma); covetousness (coveting).
The Rubric now reads:
"Unbind the Secrets from Above, the Voice of the Sun, who made Bread into man, commit to the precepts and abandon the violence associated with Capitalism."
1 Behold, it came to pass that I, Omni, being commanded by my father, Jarom, that I should write somewhat upon these plates, to preserve our genealogy—
2 Wherefore, in my days, I would that ye should know that I fought much with the sword to preserve my people, the Nephites, from falling into the hands of their enemies, the Lamanites. But behold, I of myself am a wicked man, and I have not kept the statutes and the commandments of the Lord as I ought to have done.
3 And it came to pass that two hundred and seventy and six years had passed away, and we had many seasons of peace; and we had many seasons of serious war and bloodshed. Yea, and in fine, two hundred and eighty and two years had passed away, and I had kept these plates according to the commandments of my fathers; and I conferred them upon my son Amaron. And I make an end.
276=Deception
282=Overnight
4 And now I, Amaron, "Voice of the Sun" write the things whatsoever I write, which are few, in the book of my father.
5 Behold, it came to pass that three hundred and twenty years had passed away, and the more wicked part of the Nephites were destroyed.
320=the Queen, "Shabbat" "rebirth" which explains how the "more wicked" part of the Nephites were destroyed by the Sun.
6 For the Lord would not suffer, after he had led them out of the land of Jerusalem and kept and preserved them from falling into the hands of their enemies, yea, he would not suffer that the words should not be verified, which he spake unto our fathers, saying that: Inasmuch as ye will not keep my commandments ye shall not prosper in the land.
7 Wherefore, the Lord did visit them in great judgment; nevertheless, he did spare the righteous that they should not perish, but did deliver them out of the hands of their enemies.
8 And it came to pass that I did deliver the plates unto my brother Chemish. "The Bread Made Man."
9 Now I, Chemish, write what few things I write, in the same book with my brother; for behold, I saw the last which he wrote, that he wrote it with his own hand; and he wrote it in the day that he delivered them unto me. And after this manner we keep the records, for it is according to the commandments of our fathers. And I make an end.
10 Behold, I, Abinadom, am the son of Chemish. Behold, it came to pass that I saw much war and contention between my people, the Nephites, and the Lamanites; and I, with my own sword, have taken the lives of many of the Lamanites in the defense of my brethren.
11 And behold, the record of this people is engraven upon plates which is had by the kings, according to the generations; and I know of no revelation save that which has been written, neither prophecy; wherefore, that which is sufficient is written. And I make an end.
Abinadom follows the Voice of the Sun and says "everything we need has already been written" leaving one thing: AN END TO THE VIOLENCE. WITHOUT IT THERE IS NO HOPE FOR SALVATION.
12 Behold, I am Amaleki, the son of Abinadom. Behold, I will speak unto you somewhat concerning Mosiah, "to loan or draw out water for the sake of salvation" who was made king over the bland of Zarahemla; for behold, he being warned of the Lord that he should flee out of the eland of Nephi, and as many as would hearken unto the voice of the Lord should also depart out of the land with him, into the wilderness—
13 And it came to pass that he did according as the Lord had commanded him. And they departed out of the land into the wilderness, as many as would hearken unto the voice of the Lord; and they were led by many preachings and prophesyings. And they were admonished continually by the word of God; and they were led by the power of his aarm, through the wilderness until they came down into the land which is called the land of Zarahemla:
14 And they discovered a people, who were called the people of Zarahemla. Now, there was great rejoicing among the people of Zarahemla; and also Zarahemla did rejoice exceedingly, because the Lord had sent the people of Mosiah with the plates of brass which contained the record of the Jews.
Zarah= to sow the dawn
Hemon= multitude of people
La=
The verb לאך (la'ak) means to vicariously translocate one's mastery, will, purpose or intent. It may simply mean to charge a travelling courier with a message that relays one's instructions, but it may also describe forming a more static sign or monument that displays one's mastery, or indeed one's entire character and range of attributes.
15 Behold, it came to pass that Mosiah discovered that the people of Zarahemla came out from Jerusalem at the time that Zedekiah, king of Judah, "God is Righteous, His People are Full of Glory" was carried away captive into Babylon.
16 And they journeyed in the wilderness, and were brought by the hand of the Lord across the great waters, into the land where Mosiah discovered them; and they had dwelt there from that time forth.
17 And at the time that Mosiah discovered them, they had become exceedingly numerous. Nevertheless, they had had many wars and serious contentions, and had fallen by the sword from time to time; and their language had become corrupted; and they had brought no records with them; and they denied the being of their Creator; and Mosiah, nor the people of Mosiah, could understand them.
18 But it came to pass that Mosiah caused that they should be taught in his language. And it came to pass that after they were taught in the language of Mosiah, Zarahemla gave a genealogy of his fathers, according to his memory; and they are written, but not in these plates.
19 And it came to pass that the people of Zarahemla, and of Mosiah, did unite together; and Mosiah was appointed to be their king.
20 And it came to pass in the days of Mosiah, there was a large stone brought unto him with engravings on it; and he did interpret the engravings by the gift and power of God.
21 And they gave an account of one Coriantumr, and the slain of his people. And Coriantumr was discovered by the people of Zarahemla; and he dwelt with them for the space of nine moons.
Coriantumr=
Korian= the Keeper of the Dawn Gate
Tamar= the biggest Palm Tree on the beach along the ocean of chaos in the Book of Genesis.
Nine mooons= moons are smaller the sun, unable to match it during the day but by night they lead the way. Nine Moons means pregnancy or gestating truths.
Tes is the ninth letter of the alef-beis.
The design of the tes is like a pot, a vessel with an inverted rim, representing hidden or inverted good.2 Another interpretation of the tes is that it represents a man bending his head to G‑d in prayer and thanks.3 How are the two connected? We just explained the letter ches as representing the concept of marriage. After the union between husband and wife, then, G‑d willing, there’s a conception. The tes represents the hidden good that resides within the womb (the vessel) of the mother. This hidden good is actualized through a person’s prayers to G‑d, asking Him for a healthy child.
22 It also spake a few words concerning his fathers. And his first parents came out from the tower, at the time the Lord confounded the language of the people; and the severity of the Lord fell upon them according to his judgments, which are just; and their bones lay scattered in the land northward.
23 Behold, I, Amaleki, was born in the days of Mosiah; and I have lived to see his death; and Benjamin, his son, "Kindness" reigneth in his stead.
24 And behold, I have seen, in the days of king Benjamin, a serious war and much bloodshed between the Nephites and the Lamanites. But behold, the Nephites did obtain much advantage over them; yea, insomuch that king Benjamin did drive them out of the land of Zarahemla.
"Kindness drives savagery out of the way of the enlightenment of others."
25 And it came to pass that I began to be old; and, having no seed, and knowing king Benjamin to be a just man before the Lord, wherefore, I shall deliver up these plates unto him, exhorting all men to come unto God, the Holy One of Israel, and believe in prophesying, and in revelations, and in the ministering of angels, and in the gift of speaking with tongues, and in the gift of interpreting languages, and in all things which are good; for there is nothing which is good save it comes from the Lord: and that which is evil cometh from the devil.
26 And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an coffering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved.
27 And now I would speak somewhat concerning a certain number who went up into the wilderness to return to the land of Nephi; for there was a large number who were desirous to possess the land of their inheritance.
28 Wherefore, they went up into the wilderness. And their leader being a strong and mighty man, and a stiffnecked man, wherefore he caused a contention among them; and they were all slain, save fifty, in the wilderness, and they returned again to the land of Zarahemla.
Save 50=the Fifty righteous men that God offered to spare in Sodom and Gomorrah. It is the number of the minimum level of satisfaction with one's knowledge, maturity, independence and capabilities needed to be a functioning member of an enlightened culture.
29 And it came to pass that they also took others to a considerable number, and took their journey again into the wilderness.
30 And I, Amaleki, had a brother, who also went with them; and I have not since known concerning them. And I am about to lie down in my grave; and these plates are full. And I make an end of my speaking.
The brother of Amaleki is never named but we should make a guess- to be wrung free of violence leads to Noach or peace on earth.

There's this exchange at the end of the Smuggler's route on Balmorra, when the Smugg is talking to Numen Brock about the Empire retaliating after they stole the missiles.
Smuggler: The Empire's not going to come through and kill every man taller than a vibroblade, are they?
Numen: Umm, they already did that. Lucky for us, we grow them short and feisty.
This is such a great gallows humor zinger. The Balmorran rebels pretty much have nothing to lose at this point, so fuck it. So we get this wild divide with Numen and Ian Sarkus on one side and Zenith and Chemish Or on the other.
I think that's neat.

Omni - Two Queer Authors?
This small book in the Book of Mormon was written by 5 different men. Verses 4~8 were written by Amaron, who turned the plates over to his brother Chemish. The final man to write in Omni was Amaleki who when he is finished gives the Small Plates of Nephi to King Benjamin.
————————————————————
When Mormon edited the Book of Mormon, he left out most details of day-to-day life. We assume most of the men mentioned are heterosexual because we’re told they have a son, or sometimes we’re even told they have a wife. Amaleki is described as “having no seed,” aka he is childless. There’s no reason we have to assume he is straight. Same with Amaron.
Similarly, there is nothing in the text to indicate that these characters are not gay/lesbian or ace/aro or queer in some other way: Enos, Teancum, Ammon, Abish, Amulek, Abinidi, Amos (son of Amos), Amoron, Moroni (forgive me if I missed some detail about them having a wife or a son or in some other way suggests they’re straight). I bet if we think about it we can come up with even more Book of Mormon characters to add to this list

How's Sanju Pyne doing in your verse?
Oh dear, that's a bit of an indirectly angsty question. In ficverse, whether I can actually ever figure out how to write it or not, Kyrian's time on Balmorra is basically the one time that everything went just like the holothrillers. He and Sanju were able to keep Chemish from doing anything terrible on their watch, Gray Star surrendered, and the terror cell was given the choice of laying down their arms as good Balmorrans or being exiled from Balmorra. (Okay, Chemish was just exiled. No point in even asking if she'd stop fighting the Empire.) And Kyrian and Sanju celebrated enthusiastically.
But life isn't a holothriller. None of that actually accomplished anything. The Balmorran resistance kept fighting (and eventually wins). Somewhere in there, Chemish returns to continue being part of that fight. Kyrian is now a wanted traitor.
The best case scenario is that Sanju eventually realizes he's been fighting for the wrong side and leaves Balmorra, perhaps after doing something that would aid the people of Balmorra, never to return. He loses his home and everything he's known, but he remains a basically decent person.
Worst case scenario A: Sanju becomes a villain. His support for the Empire wears away his humanity and he does worse and worse things in his efforts to keep Balmorra subjugated. He and Chemish die fighting each other or he's eventually killed when the resistance wins, after doing things the man he'd once been would never be able to live with.
Worst case scenario B: he never works out that he's on the wrong side and is executed after the resistance wins. Even though all he ever wanted was for Balmorra to be at peace.
Bonus terrible options include things like running into Kyrian, now on the other side, for lots of "How could you betray the Empire? I thought you were a good person!" pain or "I'll see you meet the proper fate of a traitor!" pain, depending on what sort of person Sanju is at that point in time.
Yeah, I've never figured out how to ever revisit Balmorra without it being a pile of angst and darkness. Let's just pretend the best case scenario happened. (But boy oh boy is there a lot of Dark Timeline fodder there, should I ever want it.)

The Book of Omni. "The Keeper of the Secret."

3 And it came to pass that two hundred and seventy and six years had passed away, and we had many seasons of peace; and we had many aseasons of serious war and bloodshed. Yea, and in fine, two hundred and eighty and two years had passed away, and I had kept these plates according to the bcommandments of my fathers; and I conferred them upon my son Amaron. And I make an end.
276=Deception
282=Overnight
4 And now I, Amaron, "Voice of the Sun" write the things whatsoever I write, which are few, in the book of my father.
5 Behold, it came to pass that three hundred and twenty years had passed away, and the more wicked part of the Nephites were adestroyed.
And after this manner we keep the arecords, for it is according to the commandments of our fathers. And I make an end.
10 Behold, I, Abinadom, am the son of Chemish. Behold, it came to pass that I saw much war and contention between my people, the Nephites, and the Lamanites; and I, with my own sword, have taken the lives of many of the Lamanites in the defence of my brethren.
11 And behold, the arecord of this people is engraven upon plates which is had by the bkings, according to the generations; and I know of no revelation save that which has been written, neither prophecy; wherefore, that which is sufficient is written.
Behold, I will speak unto you somewhat concerning Mosiah, "to loan or draw out water for the sake of salvation" who was made king over the bland of Zarahemla; for behold, he being cwarned of the Lord that he should dflee out of the eland of fNephi, and as many as would hearken unto the voice of the Lord should also gdepart out of the land with him, into the wilderness—
14 And they discovered a apeople, who were called the people of Zarahemla. Now, there was great rejoicing among the people of Zarahemla; and also Zarahemla did rejoice exceedingly, because the Lord had sent the people of Mosiah with the plates of brass which contained the record of the Jews.
Zarah= to sow the dawn
Hemon= multitude of people
Nevertheless, they had had many wars and serious contentions, and had fallen by the sword from time to time; and their alanguage had become corrupted; and they had brought no brecords with them; and they denied the being of their Creator; and Mosiah, nor the people of Mosiah, could understand them.
18 But it came to pass that Mosiah caused that they should be taught in his language. And it came to pass that after they were taught in the language of Mosiah, Zarahemla gave a genealogy of his fathers, according to his memory; and they are written, but bnot in these plates.
19 And it came to pass that the people of Zarahemla, and of Mosiah, did unite together; and Mosiah was appointed to be their king.
20 And it came to pass in the days of Mosiah, there was a large astone brought unto him with engravings on it; and he did interpret the engravings by the gift and power of God.
And his first parents came out from the atower, at the time the Lord bconfounded the language of the people; and the severity of the Lord fell upon them according to his judgments, which are just; and their bones lay scattered in the land northward.
25 And it came to pass that I began to be old; and, having no seed, and knowing king Benjamin to be a just man before the Lord, wherefore, I shall bdeliver up cthese plates unto him, exhorting all men to come unto God, the Holy One of Israel, and believe in prophesying, and in revelations, and in the ministering of angels, and in the gift of speaking with tongues, and in the gift of interpreting languages, and in all things which are dgood; for there is nothing which is good save it comes from the Lord: and that which is evil cometh from the devil.
26 And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should acome unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and boffer your whole souls as an coffering unto him, and continue in dfasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved.
27 And now I would speak somewhat concerning a certain anumber who went up into the wilderness to breturn to the cland of Nephi; for there was a large number who were desirous to possess the land of their inheritance.
28 Wherefore, they went up into the wilderness. And their leader being a strong and mighty man, and a stiffnecked man, wherefore he caused a contention among them; and they were aall slain, save fifty, in the wilderness, and they returned again to the land of Zarahemla.
