Another one of Spock’s recipes.

Again, I’m impressed with the amount of world building in this little cookbook. Recipe below.

For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to almost double the butter. Do not do this. You’re supposed to bake it, that’s how the cheese melts in Au Gratin. I didn’t know this and ended up winging it after some google searches.

Overall it was ok. If I made it again I would add potatoes and maybe some different kinds of cheese. It was the first time I’d had fennel and it’s not bad.

Next up is Tabsheel.

A few days ago I saw a DS9 thing on reddit (I know, my mistake, looking at reddit) where OP said, "The most disappointing part of DS9 was that Garak and Sloan never meet." Which is fair! It would have been neat!

But a surprising number of the comments were like "aha, well, you know why Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana were never seen together ;)" and strongly implying that it would have been reasonable for the two of them to actually be the same person.

And I just - did we not watch the same show?? That would undermine Garak's entire character arc, right?? Like, I understand that they were making a silly haha joke, but. Jeepers. Did they just hear the word 'spy' and black out? Am I going mad?

also I think Garak is smart enough to know that Bashir would make a shitty operative
