I know that running is so good for me! So without holding off and before my brain will produce any excuses I signed up to the half marathon in Nov almost a year in advance! I procrastinated on real training, I enjoyed the luxury of running indoor and today I got my butt kicked when I run outside In hilly Charlotte! When you experience challenges, your whole perspective can turn negative really fast! When I was going downhills instead of enjoying the ease and breeze, or using the momentum to run faster, my mind took me to worry about the upcoming uphill on the way back!! So I ‘suffer’ running uphill twice (in my mind, when I went down and in the way up!!!) How often does it happen to you? You miss the moment, the vacation, the present of a loved one or any moment of peace because you are worried about something that (May) happen later??? Let me tell you something, most times the hill is way less challenging than we make it to be!!! When I remind to go downhill twice rather than uphill, life is way more fun! בעברית למטה The morning of the race was freezing, Myself and about 5000 runners start running covered with layers of clothes, jacket, hats etc... as we were running I noticed how many of my fellow runners start letting go of the extra layers... Jackets, shirts, hats, gloves and ear warmers found themselves on the side of the road. I got an important reminder that even things that served an important role at some point in our lives need to be released... Many times we keep carrying it just because we are so used to it, or because we convinced ourselves that we may need it in the future...The future is very important but not at the expense of the present. Every morning as I re-appreciate the gifts in my life I try to make sure to reevaluate the weight I carry and check what still serves me and what I can let go of. May we have the wisdom to be light travelers :) היה קפוא בבוקר של המירוץ.... מתחת ל0 מעלות בשבע וחצי בבוקר... אני ועודבערך 5000 איש התחלנו את המירוץ עם כובעים כפפות ג'קטים ושכבות נוספות.... ותוך כדי ריצה שמתי לב איךחברי לריצה משילים מעליהם שכבות ... ומניחים בצידי הדרך תוך כדי ריצה... הכפפות, מחממי האזניים חולצות וג'קטים נמצאו נטושים בצידי הדרך.... תזכורת חשובה שלפעמים אפילו מה ששירת מטרה נעלה בזמן מסויים יכול להכביד עלינו בהמשך הדרך... כל כך חשוב לדעת לשחרר לאפשר לעצמנו את ההקלה הזאת... לדאוג לכאן ועכשיו.... לפעמים אנו נושאים עלינו משא מיותר רק כי אנחנו כבר רגילים אליו או כי אולי נזדקק לו בעתיד.... העתיד חשוב מאד אבל אננו מובטח והווה כן... העתיד חשוב אבל לא על מחיר ההווה.... היום נמצא לפני מחר וכך גם סדר העדיפות שלו...:) מאחלת לכולנו שבוע מלא בהווה ממלא:)) באהבה גדולה, אני #לחיותבכוונה #להיותבהווה #לשחרר #letitgo #livepurposefullytoday #charlottemarathon
