I know that running is so good for me! So without holding off and before my brain will produce any excuses I signed up to the half marathon in Nov almost a year in advance! I procrastinated on real training, I enjoyed the luxury of running indoor and today I got my butt kicked when I run outside In hilly Charlotte! When you experience challenges, your whole perspective can turn negative really fast! When I was going downhills instead of enjoying the ease and breeze, or using the momentum to run faster, my mind took me to worry about the upcoming uphill on the way back!! So I ‘suffer’ running uphill twice (in my mind, when I went down and in the way up!!!) How often does it happen to you? You miss the moment, the vacation, the present of a loved one or any moment of peace because you are worried about something that (May) happen later??? Let me tell you something, most times the hill is way less challenging than we make it to be!!! When I remind to go downhill twice rather than uphill, life is way more fun!
