Originally Paul and Charles Fox (the guy that wrote the theme to Happy Days) wrote the opening for Grease. Execs at the time wanted a modern song, however, and went for the more 70s tone of the final theme.

The #1 song from 50 years ago was Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly With His Song”. ______________________________________ Killing Me Softly With His Song Music by Charles Fox; Lyrics by Norman Gimbel and Lori Lieberman
Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly With his song
I heard he sang a good song I heard he had a style And so I came to see him, to listen for a while And there he was, this young boy A stranger to my eyes
Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly With his song
I felt all flushed with fever Embarrassed by the crowd I felt he found my letters and read each one out loud I prayed that he would finish But he just kept right on
Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly With his song
He sang as if he knew me In all my dark despair And then he looked right through me as if I wasn't there And he just kept on singing Singing clear and strong
Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly With his song
Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me
He was strumming my pain Yeah, he was singing my life Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly with his song

♫ I Got A Name ♫ (Redux)
Some nights you’re just in the mood for a certain artist.  For me, it’s usually gonna be Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie,  James Taylor … but tonight for some reason it’s Jim Croce that came to mind after I finished ranting about one thing or another.  The man has a voice that I could listen to all night long!  It’s been a couple of years since I last played this one, so it’s fair game … This is…

It’s actually so significant that Charles is introduced in First Class as a guy who uses his thesis as a pick-up line and seeks out girls with some kind of mutation.
It’s clearly indicating that Charles is trying to find a fellow mutant to connect with romantically. Raven’s off the table, since she’s his sister. But he wants to find and build a romantic bond with someone who has a mutation, who is different like he is, and he’s resigned to searching for things like heterochromia and auburn hair because he doesn’t know for sure if there really are more full mutants out there with actual superpowers.
Literally the only reason he starts flirting with Moira is that she has auburn hair, i.e. a mutation.
Then he meets Erik and all the flirtation with random heterochromia women and with auburn-haired Moira stops. Because Erik is what he’s been looking for.
Charles’ entire setup as a character in that film is constructed in a way that the only resolution that makes any sense is him finally finding a real mutant to connect with romantically. And who does he find? Erik Lehnsherr.

I'm unsure I could call the discs the musicians do to reach the upper echelons of the charts as the moves to sell out. I mean, Tricky's Blowback does have too many celebrity guests and he did admit he partially did the LP to settle some debts. However, a couple of tunes there shows us Tricky as a pop star. I know, this sounds like a joke, but hear me out – Blowback should be seen as a prototype for this, though he did go into his own way, which we should be thankful for. Nonetheless, a part of me wishes he would've tried to tackle his more commercial side more often. For instance – check the tune in the link he did with some members of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and marvel at the fact he would be a fine replacement for their frontman.

Headcannons on what types of books the foxes read:
Charles: I can see him being really into historical litterature, autobiographies, and memoirs. But also, I think he'd secretly be really into some types of literary fiction like The Great Gatsby
Victoria: You know my girl is into that true crime, and probably more of the spicy romances.
Hudson: Anything with romance. Whether it be horror, mystery, action, fantasy, whatever. If it has a romantic side plot, he will read it.
Jeffery: I think he'd like Mysterys and horrors, maybe a bit of true crime. Maybe a bit of action and fantasy mixed in there

Figured these worked best in a photoset. These are all the profile icons I did for my characters on my Art Fight page.
The top single one is Glimmer, my fursona. Rwo two is Riviera and Emilio, twins who belong to my story The Caruso Legacy.Lastly the bottom row is Shela, Charles, and Levi, who belong to Rebels with Dangerous Thoughts.

“All those years wasted fighting each other, Charles … to have a precious few of them back …” is one of THE most romantic lines in movie history and I don’t get how anybody can possibly be blind to their being in love when these are canonical words, spoken in the most passionate and profound delivery by Sir Ian McKellen (the LONGING in his voice, you guys), followed by Sir Patrick Stewart managing to convey a million different emotions without moving a single facial muscle in the reaction shots, and then a closeup of their hands perfectly fitting together like puzzle pieces. This is some Wuthering Heights-level yearning; it ain’t subtle. I’ve heard some people say this doesn’t really count as an apology, and those people have zero media literacy; this is an even MORE powerful statement than either “I’m sorry” or “I love you” could ever be. It’s the echo of the theme of “Time in a Bottle,” which not so coincidentally earlier played in the scene where the two of them are saved from a brutal death by their son in the past. It’s a perfect summary of the entire tragedy and beauty of their relationship.
