INDIE SMUT RP (PLOT CENTRIC) - YOU MUST BE (PREFERABLY) 21+ TO ENTER PLEASE AND THANKS AND (AS OF 7/23/2023) I HAVE SWITCHED TO BETA EDITOR ONLY.
Welcome everyone to my page! I am a mostly mutuals only blog, but if you see an open in the tags you’re more than welcome to answer it even if we don’t follow each other! Some of the best partners are found that way, but just know I might be selective at times when it comes to muse and such. PLEASE DON’T PESTER ME IF I DO NOT FOLLOW YOU BACK. YOU MAY ANSWER AN OPEN IF YOU SEE ONE, BUT IF I DON’T REPLY PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO GUILT ME. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO AS I PLEASE ON THIS BLOG, THE SAME AS YOU DO.
I play both female and male characters (there is an obvious lean towards females) and while I’m not here to say you have to double up with one of my girls to get my guys, just know those threads might come a bit slower at times. I don’t try to drop threads without at least making some sort of PSA post about it though, so keep an eye out for them if I don't come directly to you with it!
When it comes to pairings, all of my men are straight and a majority of my ladies are bisexual! Leading the bulk of my threads to lean either towards m/f or f/f, but at the time of updating this (7/23/2023) I will not be including m/m content on my blog in a sexual sense. I have nothing against it, but I will not write it I am sorry 🖤 When writing a starter though, I will always include the preferences at the top so there is no confusion.
All standard rules apply here, don't be a dick and we should get along fine. Discord is more likely to be given out to people whom I have plotted with a little bit at least on here already, I just have to know it’s not gonna flop and go nowhere within a day or two. That, and it is now the place where all of my kinkier plots go to be written as to spare the dash as much as possible.

Below the cut is my mobile friendly muse list! It will be updated as I continue to expand the roster.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IF A “⩥” APPEARS NEXT TO THEIR NAME IT MEANS THE MUSE IS ONLY AVALIABLE UPON REQUEST / DEPENDANT UPON THE PLOT AT HAND! (I just simply do not wish to get rid of them entirely, but they are going to be a lower activity muse by default)
LADIES:
Jenny Boyd - Cassie Dunbrow
Ana De Armas - Elena Ortega “⩥”
Dove Cameron - Bella Grover
Madelyn Cline - Sydney "Syd" Limpkin
Dianna Agron - Violet Monroe “⩥”

Memoirs of a Goddess: Birth by Blood, Opening Scene {Alpha? Beta? Damn if I know}
(this my.... 7th? 8th? 10? time trying to write the opening scene. But this time I didn'tstart crying while writing so. Big improvements already. The scene is under the cut.
With my gym clothes in hand, I closed the small, square, grey metal door. Girls around me were casually peeling off their shirt, hoodies, blouses, shucking off skirts, dresses and jeans. I kept my eyes on the semi-stained floor tiles. I could never change in front of others. The idea left a disgusting feeling on my skin, unclean at exposing myself. I couldn’t get to the toilet stalls fast enough. Luckily one was unoccupied as I heard another girl, as shy as myself, changing. I changed, pulling the thick, reversible red-and-white t-shirt. It was a bit oversized as I’d hoped. The black shorts, in comparison, were thin and flimsy-feeling with their slippery fabric. “Elena, you in there?”
I looked up, almost pitching forward into the ugly green-painted stall door. “Yeah. Putting on my shoes.”
“Come on. We’re gonna be last again.”
“You can go ahead.”
“It’s fine.” My friend, Tiera, insisted. I balanced on my right foot again and tied the shoelaces of my left sneaker before finally getting out. There were a few stragglers, waiting for slower friends or checking their high ponytail in the long, worn mirror on the hall wall leading up to the locker room door. Tiera adjusted her twin buns in the mirror above the sink, the red and white hair elastics straining with the thickness of her black hair. She turned. “Ready? Need an elastic?”
“You know I can’t.”
“Of course you can, Lena-chan.” She insisted. “It would be a cute little tail! You always complain about your hair in your face when we run.”
I couldn’t help but feel a bit happier at the sound of her nickname for me. “I’ll deal with it.”
She shrugged. I went to my locker and out away my clothes before snapping the electric blue lock closed. “Why won’t your mom let you grow it again?”
“Says I won’t style it and she doesn’t know what to do with long hair.” We began to walk to the locker room door. “So this is as long as she’ll let me.”
“It’s such an awkward length.” Tiera said as she pushed the door open. “Maybe you could cut it shorter? Short hair’s ge-.”
“No.” I cut off. “Never again. I looked like a boy!”
“I’m sure you were a very cute boy.” Her tone was teasing, dark eyes full of mischief.
I shook my head vigorously. “Never. Ever. Again. Short hair is evil. Evil I tell you.”
“Okay, okay!” she said. “Stubborn…” We filed into the large, cold school gym with the rest of the stragglers. Boys and girls sat on the floor, mixed. Clusters of friends talking, some solo girls and boys staring at the wall and waiting. A couple of the athletic students were helping one another stretch. The two of us beelined towards a trio of girls. One of them, a slightly small and thin girl with mousy brown hair haphazardly pulled up into a ponytail, waved.
As we sat down, the girl pulled out the hair elastic and tried again to put up her hair as required. “Morning Diana.”
“Morning.” She sighed. Her wire-rimmed glasses slid down her freckled nose a little. “Growing hair out is so hard.”
“It will get better.” The blond of the group, Sarah, assured. “Growing pains.” She looked to me. “Mr. White is gonna yell at you again.”
I crossed my legs, rubbing my arms. “Don’t care.”
“I did offer her an elastic.” Tiera commented. “Lena-chan’s a rebel.” Sarah frowned.
“Yes. I’m such a rebel I shove my face in books all the time and obey the teachers.” I replied dryly. Diana and Tyler-Ann, who had been silent, snorted in laughter. I turned to the last of the group. “Morning.” Her eyes were grey today. It wasn’t possible, but every time I saw Tyler-Ann her eyes were a different color. When I’d brought it up, she’d staunchly denied it. Since then I’d seen them be green, blue, hazel, a deep brown. But grey was the color that most occurred. If it wasn’t for the fact that she wore glasses, I would have chalked it up to colored contacts a long time ago.
“Good morning.”
“We’re awake before the sun; it’s terrible.” Tyler-Ann simply shrugged.
Diana leaned in a little. “Did you hear about Brandon? Got caught dealing.”
“Isn’t that the third person this month?” Tiera asked, scrunching up her soft nose. Diana nodded. “My mom’s gonna throw a fit again.”
“Oh, everyone’s will.” Sarah said. “No one wants their kids in a bad school. Too bad school districts are random.”
Tiera looked to the four of us in worry. “At least they’ll leave me alone. Cause… you know. I’m black. Y’all are white.”
“My parents were surprised that most kids were black or Spanish here.” Diana said. “The areas in the district are a mix so you’d think it would be more mixed.”
“Jackson Middle School was historically an all-black middle school before integration.” I said. The others turned to me. “What?”
“How do you know that?”
“Uh… the entrance display. It says it right there. You never noticed?”
“You did?”
“During basketball camp over the summer.”
“I thought you hate sports.” Sarah said.
I pulled my knees up to my chest and rested my cheek on my knees. “My mom signed me up. Thought it would be a good way to make friends before school.”
“Oh, right. That’s where you and David met!” Diana said. I nodded.
There was loud clapping that suddenly echoed in the gym. Conversations quieted down as everyone looked to the teacher, Mr. White. “Go to your assigned teachers please. Come on, you know the drill.” The five of us separated, Diana and I going to where Mr. White’s students were clustering. Tyler-Ann and Sarah went to Ms. Fern and Tiera walked over to Mr. Miller. He began to take roll, calling out names. In reply the student raised his or her hand, stating they were here out loud. It took a while but finally, my name was called. “Zlatariva?” The last one, as always. Once again he’d butchered my name.
“Here!” I called, raising my hand.
He frowned. “You’re hair’s not up.”
“It’s at shoulder-length sir.”
Since it was still considered “short” by school rules I could skate by. He huffed but let it go. His attention went to one of the boys. “Alverez! Your hair needs to be up.”
“Ponytails are for girls!” he argued.
“Rules are rules.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out an elastic. He threw it to the boy. “Hair up or cut it.” Grumbling, the boy put his hair up. “Right. Today we’ll be practicing baskets. There’s two more weeks left for the basketball unit. As a warning to those who still have not passed the shooting test, your grade will go down should you fail to complete it in time. But before then, warm ups. Stand up.” We all did as told, the students of all the other teachers also standing. Everyone followed along with the teachers as they led us through warm ups. All I could think about was my latest book that sat in the small metal cube, crying out to be read.

The First 100 Gays
WASHINGTON ― Saturday marks President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office. In case you haven’t read an analysis of his failures, his lies or what grades he deserves for his performance over the past three months, don’t worry: there are over 833,000 takes to choose from.
Enough. It’s time to expend brain power on something else. Nobody wants another think piece on the first 100 days. But the first 100 gays? Nobody has done this. Until now.
Here are the first 100 gay people in America, with some major caveats. 1) These are people who have been out and influential in some form. 2) I am going back in time as far as I can find people in Google searches on a Friday night, when I’m doing this instead of going out and enjoying whiskey with friends. 3) I will inevitably miss important people; do not give me crap. Instead, enjoy reading about something other than Trump and learn some new facts.
1. Frances Rummell (a.k.a Diana Frederics) published a 1939 autobiography called Diana: A Strange Autobiography. It was the first explicitly lesbian autobiography in which two women ended up happy together.
2. In 1950, Harry Hay founded the Los Angeles-based Mattachine Society, one of the first gay (men’s) rights organizations in the country. The FBI spent a few years investigating those homosexuals.
3. Marijane Meaker (aka Vin Packer) published Spring Fire in 1952, the first lesbian paperback novel. Her publisher made her change its ending from happy to tragic ― because lesbians in the 1950s couldn’t have nice things.
4. In 1955, Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon founded Daughters of Bilitis, the first national lesbian political and social organization. They were also the first same-sex couple married in California when, in 2004, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom ordered the city clerk to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. They were 87 and 83. Aw.
5. José Sarria ran for San Francisco city-county supervisor in 1961, making him the first openly gay person to run for public office.
6. In 1966, Lilli Vincenz became the first lesbian to appear on the cover of a lesbian magazine, The Ladder, with her face showing. (Was there another magazine cover with a lesbian showing her arm?)
7. Craig Rodwell opened the New York City-based Oscar Wilde Bookshop in 1967. It was the first book store devoted to gay and lesbian authors. It closed in 2009.
8. Rev. James Lewis Stoll in 1969 became the first ordained minister of an established denomination to come out as gay. He led the effort that convinced the Unitarian Universalist Association to pass their first gay rights resolution.
9. In 1970, Del Whan taught the first LGBTQ class at the University of Southern California, titled “Social Movement: Gay Liberation.” It evolved into a student group, The Gay Liberation Forum, which was the first gay and lesbian campus group. USC finally recognized it in 1975.
10. Jim Morris became the first openly gay IFBB professional bodybuilder in 1971. (There’s a first for everything, right?)
11. At a 1971 University of California, Los Angeles conference called “The Homosexual in America, Betty Berzon came out as the first openly gay psychotherapist.
12. Political activist Jim Foster founded the Alice B. Toklas Democratic Club in 1972, the country’s first gay Democratic political club.
13. In 1972, John Hospers became the first openly gay man to run for president of the United States. Wow.
14. Nancy Wechsler and Jerry DeGrieck, in 1972, became the first openly LGBT elected officials in America. They were graduate students at the University of Michigan, and both were elected to the Ann Arbor City Council.
15. In 1972, Bruce Wayne Campbell (aka Jobriath) was the first openly gay rock musician to sign to a major record label.
16. In 1973, Sally Miller Gearhart became the first open lesbian to get a tenure-track faculty position, when San Francisco State University hired her. She helped launch one of the first women and gender studies programs in the U.S.
17. In 1975, Air Force Sergeant Leonard Matlovich walked up to his commanding officer and told him he was gay, making him the first U.S. service member to purposely out himself to challenge the military’s ban on LGBT people. Matlovich was discharged and fought for years, unsuccessfully, to end the military ban, which remained in place until 2011.
18. Harvey Milk, in 1978, became the first openly gay candidate elected to political office in California. He was the seventh openly gay or lesbian elected official nationally. Sean Penn starred in a great movie about him, “Milk.”
19. Robin Tyler became the first out lesbian on national television in 1978, appearing on a Showtime comedy special that Phyllis Diller hosted.
20. In 1979, Stephen Lachs became the first openly gay judge in the country. He retired from the L.A. County Superior Court in 1999.
21. Tennis great Billie Jean King, in 1981, became the first prominent professional athlete to come out as a lesbian. Michael Jackson wrote a song about Billie Jean, though it was not about her.
22. In 1983, Gerry Studds became the first openly gay member of Congress. It wasn’t under the best of circumstances; he admitted he had been having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male congressional page.
23. Sally Ride was the first American woman in space, in 1983, and then when she died in 2012, she came out as a lesbian in her obituary. Boom! That makes her the first (and only) out LGBTQ astronaut.
24. Terry Sweeney, in 1985, became “Saturday Night Live’s” first openly gay cast member.
25. In 1986, Becky Smith and Annie Affleck became the first openly lesbian couple granted legal, joint adoption of a child.
26. Sherry Harris was elected to the Seattle city council in 1991, making her the first openly lesbian African-American elected official.
27. In 1993, Roberta Achtenberg became the first openly gay or lesbian person nominated to a federal government post and confirmed by the Senate. Then-President Bill Clinton nominated her to be his assistant secretary of fair housing and equal opportunity.
28. Lea DeLaria hosted Comedy Central’s “Out There” in 1993, the first all-gay stand-up comedy special. She’s on “Orange Is The New Black” now.
29. In 1994, Deborah Batts became the first openly gay or lesbian U.S. federal judge. She was on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
30. Rachel Maddow, in 1995, became the first openly gay or lesbian American to win the prestigious Rhodes scholarship. She later became the first out lesbian to host a prime time news show, which you may have heard of: “The Rachel Maddow Show.”
31. Steve Fong became the first openly gay speaker at a Republican National Convention in 1996.
32. In 1997, Ellen DeGeneres came out as a lesbian on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and then her TV series character came out too. That made her the first openly lesbian actress to play an openly lesbian character on TV. This was a BFD to budding young lesbians.
33. Tammy Baldwin became the first open lesbian elected to Congress in 1998. She later became the first openly lesbian or gay U.S. senator.
34. James Hormel, in 1999, became the first openly gay U.S. ambassador. This was around the time then-Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R-Miss.) compared homosexuality to alcoholism, kleptomania and sex addiction. Good times.
35. In 2003, David Cicilline became the first openly gay mayor of a U.S. state capitol, Providence, Rhode Island. He’s in Congress now.
36. Marcia Hams and Sue Shepard, in 2004, became the first same-sex couple to marry in Massachusetts after it was legalized there.
37. James McGreevey became the first openly gay governor in 2004. He came out after getting in trouble for appointing his secret lover, Golan Cipel, as his homeland security advisor, even though he lacked qualifications. McGreevey resigned soon afterward.

“The Sound Inside” is a dark drama by Adam Rapp that keeps us in the dark, literally and figuratively, which works better while watching it on stage than thinking about it afterwards. Mary-Louise Parker portrays a middle-aged Yale professor named Bella Lee Baird, who prefers literature to life, and expects to die soon; she tells us she’s been diagnosed with cancer. Bella slowly develops a friendship with 18-year-old Christopher Dunn (Will Hochman), one of the students in her course, Reading Fiction for Craft. Christopher is initially off-putting in his idiosyncrasies, barging into her office without having made an appointment because he refuses to use e-mail. He rants about e-mail and Twitter and “plutocrat professors” and “baristas with their Civil War beards and artisanal body odor…” But he tells her he likes her class, and he may be even more of a loner than she is.
They turn out to share a taste in books, especially dark tales like Dostoevsky’s “Crime and Punishment,” which is one of so many book titles name-dropped during the course of the play that the script could serve as a reading list (See below.) They also read aloud from their own writing. Bella, she tells us, has had three books of fiction published.
In a way, “The Sound Inside” is Bella’s writing too. She’s the narrator, but every now and then she stops to jot down something she’s just said to us, as if to make sure to remember that turn of phrase for the book. Indeed, the way the two characters speak sounds so frequently like formal writing that they call one another on it. After they have become friendlier, Christopher asks Bella why she’s not with anybody, and she answers that she’s been looking for somebody to read books with. “That sounds like writing,” Christopher responds. She repeats the accusation back at him a few moments later, after he talks about his own limited romantic history.
“The Sound Inside” is a play about writers, and a story about storytelling, but its appeal is largely due to two factors that save it from complete preciousness. First, it is also a suspenseful yarn, a tale that keeps us wondering what will happen next, full of foreboding about life-and-death matters involving terminal disease, murder, suicide and assisted suicide – some of which are in the stories they create, some in the story that unfolds about Bella and Christopher on stage. ”You have yourself a nice amount of dread simmering,” Bella observes after Christopher has read from his novella; she could be talking about the play she’s in.
What’s best about “The Sound Inside” is its exquisite staging. Director David Cromer (The Band’s Visit, Our Town, etc.) has done it again, using a devotion to detail and a spare touch to create a credible and involving world. Lighting designer Heather Gilbert deserves special kudos for aiding both the suspense and the sense of intimacy, often illuminating only the playing area immediately around the actors, which has the practical effect of turning the huge stage of Studio 54 into something that feels closer to the small space where the two-hander originated last year at the Williamstown Theater Festival.
“The Sound Inside” marks the Broadway debut of Adam Rapp. He’s more Bella than Christopher in age and accomplishment — a novelist, director, and screenwriter, he’s been a prolific Off-Broadway playwright for some two decades (as well as the older brother of “Rent” actor Anthony Rapp for five.)
In Bella, he’s created a character that’s a gift to Mary-Louise Parker, who re-gifts her to the audience in a performance that charms with wry, self-deprecating humor and chills with a tale told at a remove, as if Bella is talking about a character in a story rather than about herself. (Hochman holds his own as Christopher, a more complicated character, since he’s viewed through Bella, who oonsiders him an enigma.)
But Rapp also suggests he has created something larger and deeper than simply an engrossing story. How else to understand all those references to great literature, and the many moments that are inexplicable, unexplained? At one point, Bella tells us that, while participating in a writing exercise that she’s assigned her students, she finds herself “Listen to the sound inside” over and over again for 20 minutes.
Rather than just telling us she wrote it over and over again, though, she repeats the sentence, slowly, 12 times, while her sprawled sentences on a legal pad are projected in close-up onto the backdrop.
Such moments add a theatrical sense of mystery, a feeling of heft. But they later lead to questions: Does she mean her stomach cancer? Does she mean her conscience? Is he just being pretentious?
“I have no idea what it means,” Bella tells us.

There is a real cat credited as a writer of murder mysteries–Sneaky Pie Brown, who pens the Mrs. Murphy mysteries with her human, Rita Mae Brown. Mrs. Murphy is a crime-solving cat who works with a Corgi partner, in case you thought she was a human Miss Marple type.
Sneaky Pie Brown with Rita Mae Brown.
I think cats would make natural murder mystery writers. There always seems to be an implied “I could kill you but I won’t” message underlying the looks many cats give us humans, and sometimes dogs, and sometimes other cats.
You know this cat is not thinking good thoughts about you.
There is a book about this, How to Tell if Your Cat is Plotting to Kill You.
Maybe that’s what started me on playing the game, what author would that animal be? Or maybe it was that time I went to a reading and book signing by the author T. C. Boyle and thought he looked like a Borzoi. It turns out that Boyle, author of one of my favorite books, The Tortilla Curtain, is actually partial to the dreadlocked Puli, which is pretty cool.
Puli dogs
I’ve only done this with dogs and cats so far, but I am sure you can play it with any type of animal if you can match up their personality, looks, and likely literary style with a human author.
My own companion animals were pretty easy to match up.
Sara, my 19-year old brown tabby cat, would clearly be one of the classic older ladies of the English murder mystery genre. Perhaps Agatha Christie, but I think really of a writer who had a bit more edge, like Ruth Rendell. Much darker things happen in Rendell’s books than Christie’s, and even thought Sara is an affectionate cat, she is a cat, and was also quite a hunter in her day.
Dame Agatha Christie, creator of the aforementioned Miss Marple.
Dame Ruth Rendell, author of dark mysteries under her own name, and psychological thrillers under the name Barbara Vine.
Misty, our 6-year old Turkish Angora who was rescued from kitty death row, where she was placed for having a personality disorder that made her “unadoptable”, would be a perfect Gillian Flynn, author of the disturbing books Gone Girl, Dark Places, and Sharp Objects. Misty is beautiful, but beware what lurks in that brain. I call her the Ferocious Beauty for good reason!
Scary, each and every one of them.
Marble, the new kid on the block, is hip and eccentric and a little wild, so I am picking Dave Eggers for him. Maybe Eggers, perhaps best known for A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, is a dog guy. I don’t know, but Marble would be a good hipster author who can be funny and profound and will always do things a little differently. And sometimes follows you around like a dog.
And then there is Einstein. Einstein is not named for his staggering genius, but for his unruly fur. I think he should be a humorist, and I know Dave Barry likes dogs because he has written about them frequently. And his bangs hang in his face, like Einstein’s.
Of course, I have to delve into memories of pets past as well. Our dearly beloved Ben, the classic orange tabby with a heart of gold, would be Calvin Trillin, winner of the 2013 Thurber Prize for American Humor. He’s a classic himself.
Then there is the dynamic dog duo, Bingo and Sadie. Bingo was a ham, always taking credit for Sadie’s work. She was a lovable free-spirit. If we took them to the beach and threw sticks in the water, Sadie would swim out to retrieve them, but as soon as she got to shore, Bingo would grab them from her and run over all proud for having supposedly retrieved them himself. Obviously, to me, they are F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald.
Bingo, left, with Sadie.
F. Scott with Zelda.
I can go on like this for hours. Now I’ve started matching up animals at the shelter with their literary doppelgängers.
When I first saw Mordecai the mastiff, his stateliness made me think of Charles Dickens, the venerable author of so many icons of English literature. But I have revised my opinion lately to thinking he is really John Steinbeck, the venerable author of so many icons of American literature. Steinbeck, by the way, wrote a lovely book about his Standard Poodle Charley.

When I saw scrappy little dachshund mix Facebook, I immediately thought of Alexander McCall Smith, prolific author of the series The Number One Ladies Detective Agency, The Sunday Philosophy Club, Portuguese Irregular Verbs, and Scotland Street. He has an infectious personality and his books are light and fun.

I picked David Foster Wallace for Joey, mostly because for some reason he just looks like he’d write some of my favorite essays like Consider the Lobster and A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again. Joey will not follow in DFW’s footsteps in terms of early, self-inflicted death. Joey will live to be a grumpy old man cat with a sense of humor.

I’ll just do one more. Like I said, I could do this for hours. I read a lot, and I see a lot of animals in the course of my day.
Another of my favorite writers is Anne Tyler. I don’t know why it took me a little while to realize she would be my recent foster cat Merida. There is a sweetness to Tyler’s books, along with a faint melancholy, and always a theme of family and relationships. Merida is a sweetheart, had a rough start in life, is looking for her forever family, and could easily be the central character in a Tyler book if Tyler wrote books about cats.
Maybe some day I’ll actually write and publish a book. I hope so. I have a great author photo ready to go–I look serious and moody.
And then maybe someone will pair me up with my animal doppelgänger. I’m hoping for a sleek, dignified beauty, like an Irish Setter.
But I won’t be surprised if it is a roly poly kitten, either.
