Gale pops his nose over the spine of his book, waiting patiently for Ophelia to settle at the foot of their bed. Fresh from a bath, steam rises from her nude form, nipples bright and hard as they reacquaint themselves with the naked air. She stretches, the muscles in her back growing long as every link in her spine reaches up. It’s easy to imagine his fingers alighting upon it, stroking up her vertebrae like a resplendent library shelf.

Sinking into the mattress with a sigh, she twists some water from her hair and answers, “No. I can’t say I have. Why do you ask?”

Honestly I can't say that any of these are more or less canon design-wise because I am ~as yet undecided~

Ve keeps materialising in my brain and telling me things about verself

Ve is so cool like seriously I am obsessed with ver

Honestly not sure on the drawing of ver crying while holding allium flowers that ended up looking really weird but oh well-

Ve's a vampire hunter (I am still trying to figure out the logistics of this considering ve's a teenager, I may have to just age ver up since vis age doesn't really affect vis storyline so far)

Ve literally refused every name I tried to give ver until the name Ophelia popped into my head, I wasn't sure if it fit ver at first but now I kinda like it :)

Ophelia is no stranger to wanting. For most of her life it's all she'd been allowed to do, trapped on the outside looking in, window shopping for normal experiences. Ophelia is also no stranger to obsession. Books, movies, TV shows; a terribly ill child who never even had the chance to make a real friend, she took what she could from fiction. All she'd ever wanted growing up, the thing she obsessed over, was someone who could save her, from her life, from herself. Someone who could make her feel alive.

So when her attention is caught by a beautiful, awful boy with a saviour complex, Ophelia vows not to remain a stranger to him either, no matter the cost.

Ophelia may no longer need to be saved, but Nate Jacobs makes her feel so damn alive, so she will turn herself into the kind of girl he wants, needs, and obsesses over too.

cool for the summer

Nate's been best friends with Lee Chase for as long as he can remember, and Lee's little sister Ophelia has always been... there. The best thing about her is how easy she is to ignore.

But everything changes between them when Lee and his dad go to Fiji for the Summer before their Junior year, and Nate and Lee's moms decide to spend that time holidaying together up the coast, taking the rest of their children with them.

So now, much to Nate's chagrin, he's forced to share a bed with his best friend's sixteen year old sister, who he's barely even had a full conversation with before in his life. But he quickly realises that she's bolder than he gave her credit for. Maybe it's a good thing her brother's on the other side of the world.

Chapter Three: Fret none aboout what my hands and body done

Pairing: f!TavxGale Dekarios Characters: Female/Tiefling/Druid Tav, Gale Fandom: Baldur's Gate 3 Other Tags: Canon Dialogue, Gale POV, Named Tav Summary: Gale had bid farewell to his beloved Waterdeep. For what he thought was the last time, he watched its splendid walls dip below the horizon, and dried his eyes of their tears. Yet before he could find the quiet death he sought in some remote corner of Faerûn, the mindflayers find him. And then Ophelia does.

The first time their party had approached the Grove, its walls had looked safe. After the terror of the Nautiloid, its high cliffs and sturdy gate had seemed a haven to his harried mind.

Today, the wooden gate appears somehow more brittle than before, the cliffside somehow more scalable. As the goblin horde grows, Gale prays the Oak Father does not easily relinquish his land, nor abandon his faithful.

The slap of a bowstring heralds a death. A truly aimed arrow cuts through the air and skewers a goblin’s throat. Astarion does not cry out in triumph, but nevertheless glows in the aftermath of a kill. Karlach demonstrates no such restraint, drowning their enemies with a roar before she brings down her axe. Any goblin nimble enough to breach the grove’s defences soon meet their end upon its blade. Moonlight, called forth from Ophelia’s lips, cleaves through the day and their enemies both.

Gale takes no pride in battle. How can he, when his cantrips scarcely scorch their eyebrows? Once, the tide might have been turned by a single spell cast by his hand, but the orb spared nothing. Now he is reduced to sniping from the makeshift battlements, whittling them away until a surer hand ends them.

The apple scene between Kyoko and Sayaka feels both like "a proper introduction between enemies who no longer wish to fight" and "a final invitation to connect with someone and pull yourself back from the edge".

Sayaka tossing aside Kyoko's gifted apple feels like her making a conscious choice to fully go crazy and a denial of Kyoko's attempt to reach out to her.

Additionally, Kyoko giving away to Sayaka something that holds significance for her (food, which she considers incredibly precious) without any expectation of something in return aside from "connection" is an interesting moment for a character previously depicted as "selfish" and constantly against Sayaka.

Kyoko sharing her story TO Sayaka is a moment of vulnerability, later matched by her sharing her story WITH Sayaka by sacrificing herself when she likely could've defeated Oktavia without dying in a effort to ensure Sayaka wouldn't be alone anymore.
