Anyway, this is (grown) Eide from the last post. And yeah, since I mentioned their last art was in 2019... they absolutely faded into obscurity afterwards. I always loved their design, but never knew what to do with them.

I wanted to draw, but I also wanted to type some Dragon facts.

Ahem, ahem, so I didn’t lie this time.

When I tell you I like this palette, I’m really not joking. Would’ve gotten this done sooner/with more characters, especially since last weekend was a long weekend (longer for me ‘cause of taking days off for Eid), but I was spending the majority of it in Tennessee.

My next AC post will definitely be dealing with this palette again. Don’t know when exactly, but yeah, do expect that.

Primarily turned into an OC post, oops, but I might end up drawing more AC OCs with it, despite near all of you not knowing zilch about them (they’ll have to await their debut, which idk when that’ll be). Drawing these OCs just really put me in a mood, and I wanna see what the other ones look like in it. If I do end up posting about them, it’ll be with no info, haha. Not even names, just appearances. Using the palette also smudges their palettes a bit, too, though some might be more obvious than others… We’ll see, we’ll see.

Adventures in Librarian-ing

Today one of the Grade 1s came up to me after storytime looking like she was about to explode from excitement.

"Miss Flecha, guess what! This Friday I get to celebrate Eid!"

"Ah, then I have the perfect book for you! It's brand new too, I just finished putting the stickers on it today!"

And I pulled out a copy of The Most Exciting Eid by Zeba Talkhani.

She was SO excited about the book, y'all. Even if she technically couldn't take out a book (if she had forgotten her book) I'd still have let her take it. She kept flipping through it with a look that was a mix of awe with the :D face.

Eid Mubarak!!!

I hope everyone had a pleasant Eid today, the weather had warmed up just in time on my end! It was very fun and relaxing to just spend time with my cousins and not have to run from open house to open house today, and that's what sorta inspired this piece. I've usually only been drawing just Fatin so I thought I would mix it up by drawing her with her friend Karam. It's been ages since I last drew them so dressing both Karam and Fatin for an Eid piece was fun to do. I wanted to illustrate them as if they were gossiping about the other guests only to pointedly make eye contact with you, the viewer. They were either talking about you or believing you would enjoy this piece of gossip and want to call you over, your choice. Please click on the image - for some reason, Tumblr made the colors a bit dim.

For those who celebrate, I hope everyone had a pleasant Eid al-Fitr. It might have been difficult to enjoy it given recent world events but I hope this day treated you well, that you and your family had a pleasant and relaxing day, and that you all got to eat something yummy.
