I had a thought about Zoobles behavior/actions in the adventure-announcement scene in episode 4, and now everyone has to hear about it.

After Zooble hears about what happened during the Mildenhall adventure, they are quick to RIGHTFULLY be like “what the fuck” for several reasons. “WHY?? Why on EARTH did you think id like that? Why did you think ANYONE would?? What's wrong with you??? STOP????”

But... Zooble has also just recently seen what happens when you criticize Caines adventures, (through the therapy session) and are now faced with the looming threat of his fragile ego. Because of that, they try and take all of those thoughts, and that experience, and find some diplomatic way to phrase their feelings on the matter. That's what I think this face is- both taking in what was said, but also thinking of how the hell to respond to that after knowing what might happen as a result of speaking their unfiltered thoughts.

And then the way they try to get out of this adventure specifically- IM OBSESSED.

Despite everything, they're not going to accept this, not just gonna submit to the whims of this guy all because he’s so insistent on adventures being so important. Zooble still think they can realistically get out of it. In ep 2 they straight up just say “no.” And in ep 3 they just dont show up 😭 all very BLUNT ways of avoiding. Even in ep 1 theyre like “AUGH, NO!!!” at the prospect of an unavoidable adventure.

But this time, they're all casual like “welp… alr! see ya guys.” trying to slink away before Caine resists. And when he does, Zooble immediately bites back in their usual blunt manner, after their attempts to say no in a polite-indirect way falls on deaf ears. Its like theyre saying “Look- I tried to be nice about it, guy.”

And then when Kinger makes it look like Zooble will ACTUALLY have to go on the adventure this time, they look completely exasperated, and get way more elevated, losing any amount of tact they tried to have before, calling the adventures stupid again.

This is when we, the audience, and Zooble, the character, see Caine has somewhat lost his patience- He wont let them skip any more adventures, because he has the power to make them. To make them do whatever he wants. And the only thing holding him back is the fact that he likes them

it seems like before this, Zooble had planned on just being more careful with Caine and his adventures, but still of course had no plans to give up. NOW however…..

I feel like this episode was a "last ditch effort" on their part. It wouldn't have made sense for them to give up before, since they do seem fairly stubborn. But after this, it seems like something has clicked in their mind, shown by their conversation with Jax

Well, we’ll see next episode!!!

one thing i will say about like, earnestly headcanoning characters as schizospec is that i do find myself wanting to clarify every single decision i make about it lmao. that kind of fic is still exceedingly rare and most of the people who Do write it tend to be (imo) someone either trying to write a Spectacle or worse, a "it was all a delusion and the character is Actually in a psych ward" AU, and so any time i want to depict a character experiencing magical thinking i want to have 8 billion disclaimers like "this character is having Thoughts; the author is not making definitive statements about the world" which is annoying to me personally as someone who doesn't really care to overly pathologize any of the thoughts we have.

#N posts stuff #if you will Allow me to be mildly pretentious(?) for a moment it reminds me of how high school me felt starting to write fics about autism #bc that's gotten Popular in recent years but it was a similarly desolate landscape back then.#the 'why did you headcanon this?? i don't think it's what the creator intended' comments were fairly common lol #character headcanon posts used to feel more like a genuine attempt to prove a thesis than just for funsies #it almost feels similar. on one hand it Is because i'm a control freak so there is a 'I want you to understand it EXACTLY as i have #written it' impulse which i try to disregard as often as possible because it isn't fun lol #on the other there is a certain element of 'if you take the characters' statements at face value you're missing a Vital #aspect to the character and the fic as a whole' that IS important to get across. very difficult to navigate i fear

just got a dm abt one of my posts and y'all please don't try and show the hermits (or any minecraft youtuber or content creator for that matter) my posts, i'm uncomfortable with it and don't want any of my posts shown to a cc. if they stumble upon it naturally that's unfortunate but i can live with it since i do maintag a lot (something i REALLY need to stop doing tbh i already know i need to make a tagging system just for my blog that wont clog results) but going out of ur way to show a cc is entirely different and something i am not comfortable with.

no hate to the person at all but even if i wasn't a little silly and weird with it sometimes i wouldn't be comfortable with it, i want my blog to be a purely fandom only space with none of the creators involved <3 please respect this

i have a million things to do for uay universe but how many of them am i going to do imagining everything in my head is enrichment enough for me so sometimes i forget
