Imagine you aren't feeling well. You feel dizzy, throat sore, your skin a bit hotter than usual.

In other words, you feel like crap.

Your f/o senses this instantaneously, your usual demeanor switching to a much more quiet one. They observe you with concern, placing the back of their hand against your forehead.

"You're burning up."

"'M fine." You lie, not wanting them to worry about you.

Without warning, your f/o sweeps you into their arms, carrying you to your bedroom. You squeak and complain loudly, but they dont care because

Your health always comes first. You always come first.

They tuck you in bed before leaving for a few minutes, returning with a cup of warm tea that soothes the throat. Your f/o offers it to you and you take it, fingertips brushing in the process. Your own heart warmed and you smile contently, happy with just the presence of your lover alone.

They sit beside you on the bed as you take small sips of the beveridge, tucking in stray hairs behind your ear.

"Please get better soon. I hate seeing you sick," they say softly, looking at you with soft eyes.

"I will. But you shouldnt stay. I can get you sick too," you reply.

They pull out a mask with a smile. "Not with this."

"You can still get sick, moron."

"No illness will keep me away from you."

was talking with a friend about how some of dunmeshi fаndom misunderstands kabru's initial feelings towards laios.

to sum up kabru's situation via a self-contained modernized metaphor:

kabru is like a guy who lost his entire family in a highly traumatic car accident. years later he joins a discord server and takes note of laios, another server member who seems interesting, so they start chatting. then laios reveals his special interest and favorite movie of all time is David Cronenberg's Crash (1996), and invites kabru to go watch a demolition derby with him
