Glowing Starfish (Stellux Asteroidea) are a species of starfish native to the Luna Keys, a series of islands along the equator which hosts Starlight Wonderland. Native solely to these islands, this species has been protected by the Ru'aunian government since its initial discovery. Coming out only at night, they are most identifiable by their uniquely soft glow which comes from their natural mana-based diet.

The species are also one of the very few monogamous species of starfish and mate for life. If a partner dies, the surviving starfish will not take on another mate, and will usually pass away quickly after their partners. Thus, these unique echinoderms are a local symbol of love and loyalty.

Nana's original character was obviously terrible, but I appreciate that it's one of the few issues Jess actually realized and then ret-conned into something proper in later seasons.

Her identity issues and family trauma clearly weren't a part of her original concept, but it's very compelling all the same, and watching her learn that she can live and love without acting like a simple, palatable caricature is one of the best parts of Starlight for me.

Zanvis AU??

So, I have this AU living rent free in my mind for... A WHILE.

What if Zane and Travis were childhood friends and literally no one knew?

In this AU, Zane and Travis met when they where younger since, as we all know, their fathers where business partners. They became friends when it was just those two. Zane’s dad couldn’t bring Garroth so he brought Zane instead and the two hit it of. Even though Zane’s memory of his childhood is fuzzy, he at least remembers that, especially since the two families kept meeting up.

When they saw each other in high school, they decided to just keep it a secret. Why? Well, why not? It seemed like a fun idea. There was also the fact that Zane did not like Travis’s friends, and they didn’t like him. He knew that if it was known that they where friends, he would end up being forced to hang out with them. And thus, they just didn’t tell anyone.

This carried on till MyStreet, for absolutely no reason. They just kind of, forgot about the fact that no one knew. So one day, when the whole gang was hanging out, Travis and Zane just talked the whole time as if they were friends there whole life. Like Travis had even put his arm over Zane’s shoulders to look at something on Zane’s phone, and Zane didn’t even blink an eye at him.

The others, EVERY CONFUSED. When they asked, the two just looked at each other in confusion before looking back at them, and said “we didn’t tell you?”

I feel like that is such a fun AU. Like, Travis with Zane is the only time everyone sees him totally relaxed and not flirty, and Zane with Travis is the only time they see him totally calm, and not emo and brooding. No one knew what to do with this information, but they just let it happen.

Soon, the two gave off...well, gay vibes. Which got the group thinking, what if? Of course, the two didn’t know about this and were very confused when everyone started matching them together for everything. Aaron thought the idea was stupid and they should just let it happen. Did the others listen? Lol, no. Do they ever?

Of course, they only ever get together after Starlight, since those two stuck close together. And it was completely random too. Wanna know how everyone found out?

Zane was on the couch while at his brothers house and Travis walked in, kissed his cheek, said hello, and continued to the kitchen, all while wearing Zane’s missing jacket. Zane just looked at them and raised an eyebrow. The rest of the group where just done with the two at that point.

Zane: "your hot bread is done," she says to me. disgusting

KC: i don't say that!!

KC: "hot" would imply it's been in the toaster for more than fifteen seconds lol

KC: "your lightly warmed bread is done" i tell u

KC: one of these days i'm not even gonna put it in the toaster, just gonna breathe real hard on the bread for a minute and you'll be like "wow this is perfectly done"

Zane: "thank you so much for warming up my bread for me honey, i'm so glad we're together, i love you" i say to you every time your mean little ass makes toast for me
