Jealousy is a form of fear. Fear is regulated by the Amygdala. The amygdala is an almond-shaped structure located in the brain and is responsible for our fight-or-flight response, which is a survival mechanism that helps us respond to perceived threats. The amygdala activates the release of stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol, which can cause physical reactions such as increased heart rate, rapid breathing, and muscle tension. Their shared connection is to the sense of safety and security.
A balanced Root Chakra can help reduce feelings of fear and anxiety, which can in turn reduce the activation of the amygdala and its associated stress response. On the other hand, when the Root Chakra is unbalanced, individuals may experience feelings of fear and insecurity, which can trigger the amygdala's fight-or-flight response. By practicing Root Chakra meditation, individuals can tap into their inner strength, feel more connected to their physical body, and develop a strong sense of self-worth and security. This can reduce feelings of fear and insecurity and help regulate the amygdala's fight-or-flight response, leading to greater overall well-being.
