hybrid blade who is leashed in public, always. it's a rare occurrence to go out and take him with you (as he, a tall, brooding wolf hybrid becomes quite the spectacle). he doesn't fight you when you hook the leash in the ring of his collar with shaking hands. you see a flash of the tag, his name on the front, your name and contact information on the back. the metal is scratched up from how often blade fidgets with it, whether it's on or off of his neck.

however obedient blade is in private, he is a menace in public. he looms over you, lingering a step behind you, orbiting you with each step. he growls when anyone looks at you for too long. you don't need to hold the leash tight, but you wind it around your palm anyways. you worry the leather of it. you see the look blade garners, you see the looks he gives bystanders to your relationship. venemous and angry, even at a distance. god forbid they come within six feet of you.

these jaunts are kept short for your own sake.

by the time you're home, you're worn and stress from having to gently cow blade's instinct. knowing when to click your tongue when he growls, flinching when he bares his teeth at you. you end up with bruises on your wrist and waist from how he likes to touch and keep you close. it's too much, but what could you do about it? how are you to stop a wolf who has decided that you are to be the treat within his jaws at will?

blade always keeps you in bed after an outing. you're always-- so tired. blade says you smell that way. he also makes a few other barbed comments about your scent. you don't smell like you-- you smell like the stores you wandered in. the checkout clerk who brushed her fingers against yours when you handed her coins to pay for pastries and drinks for you and blade. you smell like the perfume of a well-dressed man who eyed you for too long, and walked a little too close.

blade can't have that. you know this.

he'll keep you in bed, yours or his, until he decides you smell enough like home again. his home.

Mod Kit: Fascinating question! Since the Toxic Chain seems to feed off of the emotions of the wearer, enhancing their forms at the cost of their morality…

Inari: Inari’s true wants are… complex. She wants to protect her family, of course! But there’s also a certain something about herself she’d love to change more than anything. So the chain might enhance her already Legendary-level abilities in battle, but it would also change the [REDACTED].

Matcha: Matcha is a child, so they have simple wants. They want love and affection, food, and for the people around them to be happy. The Toxic Chain would grant that wish by basically giving Matcha the ability to subtly influence others to their whims. It would start small, but eventually everyone around them would be subjugated to their will without Matcha even thinking about it. A parade of slaves eager to please two small children…

Fade: Fade has major anxiety from her near childhood abduction and wants more than anything to keep herself and her friends safe. So the Toxic Chain would amplify her fae and psionic abilities to the point she could freely manipulate the emotions of those around her. Then she could scare away all danger and make her loved ones happy forever. Whether they want to or not :)

What could be better than the sun shining, most of the bitties away to some corner to have a quiet moment, hot chocolate for anyone who wishes to grab some... And two little noodles, playing on the ground under careful watch of either their parents or their uncle who is very careful in watching them!

That is.... Until he isn't.... And the little wiggly noodles see something... For not being very old, the twins are rather fast at moving. And still small enough to have... Many.... Hiding places...

Good of the lord... Not every Hybrid has been introduced yet, we still have some left to show up but I can show whose mostly on this blog... I don't know if everyone will get a ref right away, we'll have to see.. Its been quite a hectic month for us all...

I was checking out the Chengyaosu series and I'm wondering: a variation of that where Jiang Cheng is full on team Jiggy? Like, Jiggy hasn't done (IIRC) anything that directly harmed his loved ones (apart from CQL having him be responsible for Zixuan dying) so if he finds out how Madame Jin and his father are treating him, and also gets it into his head that the two of them will be an awful environment for Jin Ling, he may just go over to JGY and be like 'hey, let's kill your dad'. Xue Yang and Su Minshan are mad JGY listened to him and not them about patricide.

It's very compelling, but hm. I think it would take a lot of work to get Jiang Cheng to a place where he thinks killing your parents because they are not good to you is a good plan. After the fact comforting by way of hysterical scolding and digging a hole in the yard for a version of JGY he loves, absolutely, but I think it would be hard for him to conceptualize patricide as a positive thing or a good life choice rather than a source of new, potentially unsolvable problems. Dead dads can never love you or give you approval! Murdering your dad is extremely disreputable and taboo! But in a universe where he's very in love with both Qin Su and Jin Guangyao and he finds out what Jin Guangshan did to their moms, and, by extension, to them I think he can maybe make the leap. Especially if, as you said, he thinks it'll improve the vibe for Jin Ling. They can finally be one happy family! Jin Ling can just marry someone conceived after JGS conveniently kicked it!

Su Minshan would like everyone to acknowledge that he gave Jiang Wanyin the idea. Read the minutes of the evil meeting Jiang Wanyin wasn't even invited to in the first place.
