I’m reading a bl where the mc confesses to his crush and gets rejected and then his crush gets transgender overseas and while in new york city his crush realizes he actually does have romantic feelings for the mc and the mc actually visits nyc on vacation but doesn’t tell his crush until he’s at the airport to fly back to japan (lol) and his crush confesses and mc. rejects his crush because he doesn’t feel like he can handle a long distance relationship (LOL). mutual rejection

[First impressions] Wenn's arrival on the Imperator and first meeting with the Emperor

This is my longest comic to date, and the most challenging one to make ! I had a lot of fun, and I learned a lot (I already see things I could have done better haha), I can't wait to draw more comics ! Now for some rambles in no particular order :

The Imperator is the home of thousands of people, who can be divided in two very different populations : the bounty hunters and the permanent crew. The bounty hunters are rattached to syndicates, and guaranteed food, shelter, protection and weapons from the Imperator, as well as exclusive contracts, in exchange for a percentage of the rewards they collect. The permanent crew is composed of cooks, engineers, pilots, gardeners, dock workers, janitors…. everyone needed to keep the Imperator flying. The percentage taken from the bounty hunters' rewards is used to pay the crewmembers. There have been tensions between the hunters and the permanent crew, but the Emperor enforces a very strict non aggression rule, and has made it very clear that, if the bounty hunters need the Imperator to live, the Imperator does not need them to fly.

The recruitment process is very similar for both the hunters and the crew. When the Imperator needs more hands, a call to candidates will be sent to the next spatioports on the ship's planned trajectory. The bounty hunter syndicates will make a first selection before presenting their candidates to the Emperor. The people who want to join the crew will be brought directly in front of the Emperor. Spontaneous applications are never considered (except for Wenn, apparently).

I wanted to play a bit with the space between the panels whe it comes to the singularity. In universe, singularities are impossibilities, they should not exist the way they do. They litteraly break reality and I wanted to represent that with the singularity litteraly acting on the space between, the invisible time between an action and the next. I think I can go way further with this idea and I really want to explore the possibilities. I could also do more with the Emperor : as they are an extension of sort of the Imperator's singularity, I want to play with their capacity to break the space of the drawing and "leak" into the white page.

Hello, it's been months since I'm back here on tumblr... Treated it as a journal blog Incase I want to get things off my chest or say things I can't say verbally....

I have a new family member which I have posted a photo of on Xitter/X/Twitter which is a dog, a terrier.. he's pretty much a handful when trying to keep him calm or trying to get him to sleep through out the night....

2nd thing is that I got another external hard drive to work on video editing practice for the 2ndary channel up yt/youtube to show my progression as a content creator... I try as much as I can to learn in a editing method that I want to make gameplay videos I'm having fun with on my main channel then branch out to other types of content I want to edit videos about....

I'll be returning to streaming on twitch as some point possibly at night hours to where I feel to the point of going to bed....

I'll be pushing for YouTube monitization and twitch partner both channels mainly while preparing for my vtuber showcase as how some vtubers would call it my vtuber debut.... Which I don't know why they say it, when the root of debut comes from idol culture which the following is [redacted] to an extent.......

Ko-fi is there as additional support as an option..... For personal reasons and mostly looking for a new place to live is why I'll be pushing for monitizations and twitch partnership until I'm able to disclose personal which has been a heavy topic for me to discuss publically where I'm in a less toxic environment... I don't know when or where but I'll hope to look for somewhere that I can distant from the source of it all and update as much as I can about things I want to say...

my darling sy! light of my life! it's always a joy to have you pop up for Talk Shop Tuesday (and to be honest any other time). i'm going to pop my reply under a cut because it got surprisingly long.

is there a kink you'd like to write something for, but haven't gotten to yet?

oh absolutely. the thing with my kink stuff is that i take a hands on approach as it were when it comes to writing about it. shut up it's not semi-autobiographical. so with that in mind i have been ruminating on something to do with tickling or latex, but before i do i'd rather like a refresher of the finer points....

is there a welsh phrase or term you'd love to use in a fic but haven't yet?

it is my life's new mission to sprinkle in as much welsh as i can into haearn a gwaed. it's doing wonderful things for my welsh language skills. specifically though i'd love to get jonesy to say "ych-a-fi!" (pronounced uck ah vee) at something just to have ghost bark out "english mactav- jones!" back at her. it's a brilliant phrase to express how fuckin' gross summat is.

i'm also trying to nail down the "flow" of writing jonesy's accent without it sounding too similar to soap's at the moment. which is challenging because of the way south wales accents drop gs and use filler sounds that i just can't describe accurately enough (how does someone go about writing the sound for "ennit" when the t is silent?).

what was the last wip you worked on?

the last wip i worked on properly (as in adding words instead of shuffling stuff around) was probably for magic in this misery as part of my efforts to spruce it up!

johnny doesn’t come back. the indian takeaway moulders, abandoned, on the coffee table and eventually the smell of rot becomes too much to bear. all of it becomes too much to bear. three long, dragging days later you finally lever yourself out of bed, plug your phone in to charge, and grab the roll of black bin bags from under the sink.

I’ve been trying to get this painting out since the game came out but kept changing themes, oof. The Beacon is such a good song and I’ve already talked at length about how reading the lyrics at face value says one thing, but with the context of the game you can tell what the “sirens” and said “beacon” actually are. Turns out the missing ingredient to actually make it was a mermaid theme!

Chai is a banded houndshark, which felt fitting because sharks have some electromagnetic abilities and the patterns matched his trousers while deep underwater. While doing research I realized only female anglerfish are huge and scary, but then I remembered Kale already has a tool for that in the game.

Hmm well at least in the past decade, my big worldbuilding projects have mostly come down to three-ish stories: Other Side of the Gun, Adventures of Gæilo and Ethon, and Just Desserts

OSG was an Invader ZiM fancomic concept I started around 2013 to justify every single Irken headcanon I ever came up with lol - I never finished it, or even really started it, but I put a lot of time and energy into its roughs back in the day :)

One that you can see over here is all the work I did for my DnD campaign, AGE! (Though its sideblog hasn't been updated in a while haha - the AGE tag over here works just as well) I basically homebrewed a pantheon and had an absolute blast designing all the gods and their forms before they became gods and even things like architectural differences in their churches and the BBEG and his motivations and just ah <3 Such a fun project :D

It also laid the groundwork for things like Pokemon Homestyle, specifically all my papercrafts! You can really see how I leveled up haha

And my latest has been Just Desserts! Even with less time under its belt, it's still pretty expansive, as evidenced by my icon and theme and the backlog lol, and it's the one I have the most AUs of! (Though OSG does come close actually haha) There are still some thorny details I'm trying to iron out, especially to do with the magic system, but all the characters and creatures and the fact that I made my own fighting minigame, ah, pleased! I've never been so happy with a sona before Charm! ♥ From the very beginning it's been so fun to work on and I still want to improve!

Species swap with the Radio Isotope and Imperator crews! Inspired by Ryoko Kui's art for Dungeon Meshi of course, it was a great exercise and helped me refine how Armisian and Isshan look and tentatively settle on a base for KseIn designs!

Isshan : They were the first to leave their home planet and make contact with the other people of the star cluster, first the Armisians, then the KseIn and finally the humans. Their society is mainly made of nomadic clans, with only a few permanently settled cities on their home planet. Many spationaut legends and superstitions find their origin in Isshan religion, and spationaut common tongue is an evolution of Isshan trading language. The name of the star cluster comes from the name given by the Isshan to the night sky, Laani nab'ataream, the one with a thousand stars.

Human : They arrived in the star cluster long after Isshan and Armisian mastered space travel, in two fleets of old generation ships. The ships' record were corrupted and the only logs recovered were from the end of their journey. With no homeworld in the cluster and their ships falling apart, humans spread across the cluster, and their high adaptability, durability and small stature made them great spaceship and station workers. The older generations decided to stay on the ships they came with, and other set their sight on terraforming a barren planet in the Center, Noutéra. Humans are, with the Isshan, the most represented species across the cluster.

Armisian : They are a telepathic species, communicating mainly through emotions and impressions. On their homeworld, they are part of a network of individuals, surrounded by the experiences, feelings and presence of others, but as they leave the planet, they become separated from this network. Loneliness is extremely painful for Armisians, and prolonged isolation can become dangerous. Some do leave their planet, but never alone. Armisians have a hard time adapting to the other species technology and communication style, as words are not used to convey important information in their culture : the real conversation is made through thought.

KseIn : Like the Armisians, there are not many KseIn in the One With A Thousand Stars. Their cold blooded organism disagrees with the temperatures in space, and there is a heavy distrust towards spaceships, especially singularity powered, after witnessing some of the tragic failures of early wormhole generation. In general, the KseIn who leave their home planet to go to space are loners, thrill seekers or diplomats.
