i just watched Guardians 3 and now i want to write a fic about little reader x cg! peter quill & gamora, where r stays with peter and they try to remind gamora of their relationship….feeling flangsty

ofc there will be rocket content because i need to hug that little raccoon now…..

peter and everyone else knew that you loved to touch and grab you loved to pull aswell it was cute at first but could turn very hectic quickly

it was very normal for you to grab at shirts jackets even hair of everyone on board especially your daddy’s hair it made you very happy

this whole incident started when peter and rocket stared to argue with each other and had completely forgotten the weapons they left out everywhere

and then you, the grabby adventurist little who had no concept of how much the weapons could hurt you

luckily gamora was with you and as you reached out for the weapons she snatched them away quickly in the blink of an eye

she sighed as you started crying loudly not knowing other ways to express how your were frustrated

in that moment both peter and rocket looked over peter immediately scooped you up holding you not knowing what was wrong

gamora sighed again, “baby i know you didn’t mean any harm but the weapons are dangerous” she paused and looked up at peter, “i don’t know why daddy left them in arms reach…” she said through gritted teeth

peter looked down at me than over to the weapons, “princess don’t cry i can’t have you running around with those…” he said softly rubbing your back

your crying slowed as your daddy comforted you, you stopped caring about the weapons when he took you away from the situation

he sat you down with your small collection of toys that had a fake gun in it because you had always been interested in his weapons

peter smiled at his little who’s now calmed down he goes and finds your pacifier and sippy cup knowing it’s probably time for a nap by now

he came back to where you were playing you rubbed your eyes with a whine, “dada i no wanna a nap.” you protested, but he knew you were close to falling asleep

with a sigh peter picked you up he sat down with you in his lap for a while he held up your sippy cup while you drank from it but after you finished he slipped your paci into your mouth cooing “it’s okay little one…” as you fell asleep

after he laid you down he then noticed drax with groot on his shoulder, “shes so adorable.” he said looking over at peter

“don’t mess with her either of you she just went down for a nap…” he said patting drax on the shoulder with a sigh and small smile

hii if you’re still doing requests for the guardians could you do something with rocket and peter getting jealous when the other is getting attention from reader. they’ve argued in the past about who’s captain so i definitely think they’d argue over who the reader’s favourite is (ofc they love them both equally) and get jealous. also maybe reader gets overwhelmed with the bickering so drax, groot or gamora have to step in get them to stop and to calm reader down. <3

"Come to me baby!" Quill opened his arms wide for you.

"No, come to me little one" Rocket waved and you thought for a second.

Peter was smiling when it seemed you were walking towards him but it dropped when you rushed over to Rocket with a giggle.

"See, I told you! I'm her favorite." Rocket smirked, ruffling your hair a little and Peter was about to argue when he saw you nibbling on some candy.

"You cheated! We said no bribing!" he pointed out while you just made your way over to Drax.

"Not my fault you believed I was going to listen," Rocket said bluntly.

Drax shook his head at the two and advert his gaze down to you, seeing you enjoy your treat.

"What did he gave you?" he asked with a little smile and you smiled back.

"A lollipop!" you said and raised your arms.

"Up?" you asked and he nod, sitting down before helping you sit on his lap, your back to his chest and listening to Peter and Rocket's bickering.

"I am Groot."

"On which side are you?!" Peter crossed his arms frustrated.

"I am Groot."

"Unbelievable."

"Quill, just accept that I'm her first choice." Rocket threw his head back laughing.

You sighed and got startled by Mantis grabbing your hand gently, her antennas glowing a little, they amazed you every time.

"She's overwhelmed." She frowned and Drax tensed a little.

"What causes it?"

Mantis pointed at Peter and the others who were still arguing. "It's them."

Gamora, who heard everything Mantis said had finally enough, walking over to you and picking you up, marching towards the two idiots.

She puts a hand over your ear and gently places your head on her shoulder before snapping. "Hey! Look at what you morons did. You're acting here like children even though she told us that she loves everyone equally," she turns to Peter. "multiple times."

Peter got a look of your face and he felt guilty. Then Gamora turned to Rocket so he could also see what he did.

"I don't wanna hear any of that again. Are-" she stopped mid-sentence when you pulled your head up.

"Please, no fighting" you pout. You hated it when they were arguing, sometimes it was all fun and games but it would escalate quickly and you can't stand it when people were shouting around you.

"I'm scolding them, love. What they did wasn't good, you understand?" she explained and you nod.

"Is okay now! I better." you wriggled out of Gamora's arms and danced your way to your room, already forgotten what just happened and wanting to play.

Gamora waited until you were out of earshot and smacked Rocket and Peter on the back of their heads.

"Knock it off you both." She said and walked away.

Peter rubbed his head and gave Rocket one last glare and whispered. "At least she will cuddle with me later." he was about to round the corner to your room and flipped Rocket off.

"You little-" Rocket stopped himself taking a breath. "It's not worth it. It's not just worth it."

"I am Groot."

"Sure buddy, you're above Quill."

Peter peaked inside your room and smiled when he saw you cuddling with gamora. She's by the end of a story she was telling you.

"And then your daddy came and saved me," she said and smiled a little, knowing that Peter is watching them. "But he's not very sneaky is he?"

You pulled your head up to look at Peter giggling. "No, he not."

"Yeah, I get it." he sighed and walked over to slip right next to your other side.

You snuggled more to him saying in a more serious tone. "Daddy."

"Yes?"

"I love you all," you told him and placed your head on his shoulder, wrapping yourself a little more around him.

"We love you too, little star."

Little Bonus

Later that day you were sitting beside Rocket, watching him repair something shiny.

"You good? You have been really quiet," he states, not looking away from what he was doing.

"Mhm!" you nodded. "Rocket, you know I wuv you too right?"

Rocket stopped his movements, before smiling your way. "I love ya too kid," he said and leaned over to ruffle your hair.

🚀Drax is naturally a caregiver, it’s is stated in the vol.3, he was born to be a father

♥️Although he started out making jokes when you would accidentally slip, he quickly noticed how vulnerable you were and his caregiver instincts kicked in

🚀 “So, what’s going on? Are you hiding anything?” He asks you one night, with a box on his hand, the box where you keep your regression gear

♥️ “Oh no! Now I will be definitely made even more fun of!” You think, Drax noticing how anxious you seem asks you to take some deep breath’s

🚀 “Hey, I’m sorry I made jokes about you earlier, I wasn’t trying to do any warm” He says softly “I promise I won’t make fun of you, not judging you this time”

♥️You nod, and let’s him see the items, he looks a bit confused “Well that’s too big for an actual baby, what’s that for ?” Drax asks, you sigh and explains your regression to him, how it helps you and why those items are important

🚀 “Ok, I see, so you are kinda like a kid ? Neat, I bet it must be pretty scary being all small in this big world, don’t worry, we are a team, I got your back” Drax says becoming your Cg!

♥️ He is a fun dad/cg, dancing, joking, letting you get messy! But he also takes really good care of you, making sure you are safe and happy

🚀 “What’s wrong buddy? Are you small? Oh! And Scared? Oh no, that simply can’t do, come, let me give you a big bear hug, I promise I will protect you, ok?”

He loves it when his littles ask him to be picked up, it makes him seem like a strong papa!

Definitely loves dancing with his little ones.

Gives a lot of forehead kisses, and loves playing with his littles hair, anything to show his affection for his kiddo.

Definitely makes the hang babysit for him when he’s out, they may be warty at first, but they end up doing the best they can!

Rocket is the best uncle CG ever in Peter’s eyes, Drax is second, but rocket just has a soft heart for littles, even if it means he messes around time to time.

Peter is known for giving strict nạp-times and bedtimes because he doesn’t want a cranky little on board.

When you slip he may not notice at first, but once he does he goes VERY protective dad mode, ESPECIALLY if your on a mission, “Okay looks like we’re both going back on the ship!”

Gamora is like the mom of the group, so she definitely is also overprotective of you, not as much as Peter though.

Mantis is like your very nice naive aunt, Peter and her get along very well so they take you out for some family bonding sometimes.

Peter is very silly, but knows when to stop when it comes to your safety.

My opinion on the Multiverse Saga so far.

So I know that Phase 4 was incredibly divisive and with Quantumania’s reception Phase 5 has already started the same trend. I don’t know if I am just easily pleasable but here are just quick thoughts on the Multiverse Saga.

WandaVision- Outside of having mild issues with the finale, great show. 9/10

Falcon and the Winter Soldier- Loved Walker. I mean I liked other things but by himself I loved this show. I thought the Flag Smashers were interesting but not too sympathetic in the grand deal. 8/10

Loki- Fantastic show. Enjoyed every character. HWR is fantastic in the finale. Favorite D+ show so far. 10/10

Black Widow- Fairly standard MCU movie. I liked Natasha and her family, Yelena especially. Also while I was not outraged, Taskmaster was boring. 6.5/10

What If?- Outside of some continuity issues, namely I am still confused as to how Thanos got 5 stones in 2015 in the Infinity Ultron episode and thinking that the Thor grows up as an only child episode could have gone in a more interesting way than he becomes a party fratbro douche, I really enjoyed this show. Hyped for the Tony and Gamora episode once Season 2 happens. 8/10

Shang-Chi- Just rewatched it last night. Fantastic, one of the best origin movies in the franchise. 9/10.

Eternals- It’ll have to take a rewatch, but I remember liking this movie in theaters. Maybe it was just because the sense of scale was impressive and made it an experience but I enjoyed it. Also some of the characters were great (Druig, Makkari, Thena, Gilgamesh) but it was kind of a mistake to have 10 new characters. 5.5/10

Hawkeye- Really liked this show. Great checking in on an underrated character, great seeing Yelena again and Kate is a great addition. 8/10

No Way Home- Loved this movie. Cemented Holland as my favorite live action-Spider-Man. Just an experience to watch it in theaters. 10/10

Moon Knight- I really hope Isaac comes back in some other project. He made this show. Other than that, nothing too special though the ending of the fourth episode is about as stunned as I have been watching anything ever. 8/10

Multiverse of Madness- Definitely requires a rewatch but I remember liking the movie for the most part but thinking that in spite of Olsen’s amazing performance, Wanda’s story was mishandled. Also the trailer did seem to imply the multiverse aspect would be played up more. 7.5/10

Ms. Marvel- Loved Kamala, loved Bruno and thought the first 3 episodes and finale were great, but the villains sucked and the 4th and 5th episodes were fairly boring. 7.5/10

Love and Thunder- I do think this movie has some good parts. The ending was great, when he did have screentime Gorr was great, Thor and Jane’s romance felt real unlike in the Dark World. But I agree with the point of the movie was too jokey. Also Korg seemingly dying but being reduced to a face that still makes annoying jokes and stating the obvious annoyed me almost as much as 3PO seemingly dying in Rise of Skywalker and then there being a back up memory file. 6/10

She-Hulk- Liked this show. Didn’t think there was anything special about it good or bad. Thought the last 2 episodes were great. Liked the fourth wall breaking though disliked Matt and Jen having sex since I was a huge Matt/Karen shipper from Daredevil Netflix. Also while the CG wasn’t that good I never thought it was terrible. 6/10

Werewolf By Night-Just really liked this, hope they do this sort of special more often. 9/10

Wakanda Forever- Loved this movie. While Ironheart’s introduction was a little clumsy and Ross’s plot is also clearly all set up, everything else is great. Namor is a great villain, I thought Shuri was thankfully a way better character than she was in any prior movie and Ramonda was just sublime. 9/10

Guardians Holiday Special- Just loved this special. Gunn has done no wrong in the whole franchise. Can’t wait for Guardians 3. 9/10

Quantumania- Loved Kang though his introduction has been clumsy. Scott is great as always and so was Janet. Also parts of it were just so wonderfully bizzare. On the other hand, Hope was just so irrelevant, and Cassie’s character change was kind of too abrupt. 6/10

Guardians 3- Just I have basically no words. It's absolutely fantastic. Rocket and Star-Lord in particular are done so well but it is just such a great finale to Hunt's trilogy. 9/10

Secret Invasion- This show generally sucked. Good first episode and the individual performances are great and Sonya is fantastic and that's it. Hated Talos's death, hated the Rhodey reveal. Hated the surprisingly low amount of intrigue and surprise. Also insane that Fury couldn't find the Skrulls a planet considering that Thanos's planet with the garden is empty. 3/10

Loki Season 2. Fantastic. If this is Loki's finale then it was a great ending to one of the best MCU characters ever. OB is fantastic the expansions to every old character except for Sylvie is done really well. OB is fantastic. In spite of his real life issues Majors is awesome. 9/10

The Marvels- Loved Kamala, The primary dynamic between the three leads is great, the Young Avengers setup was cool. The sequence where the Flerkens eat the SABER people was actually really funny. Kamala's family are great. Fury is entertaining. On the other hand the movie is too short and Dar-Benn is not a terrible villain but could have been great. 7/10

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: 9/10

James Gunn has crafted a terrific trilogy that transcends the MCU, forging its own unique and highly influential legacy. This "finale" for the original group is a satisfying and emotionally affecting entry, filled with incredible action setpieces, character moments, and Gunn's twisted sense of creativity and humor and impeccable needle-drops.

It is incredible that Gunn has managed to take a character like Rocket Raccoon (an obscure D-list character in the Marvel pantheon) and make him into, not only a household name, but an emotional core of series. Vol. 3 focusing on Rocket's tragic backstory helps to provide a unique trajectory for the film, mostly avoiding the "stop the bad guy from destroying/conquering the universe" trope in exchange for a smaller, more personal story of revenge, trauma, and redemption. The middle of the film meanders a bit with protracted side-quest, and new characters such as Adam Warlock feel a bit sidelined, but ultimately the film coalesces into a fantastic third act, providing everyone with some moments to shine. The High Evolutionary is also such a wretched and effective villain with no redeeming qualities. Despite being less powerful than other antagonists, he is by far one of the most interesting that the guardians have faced, and there isn't any attempt to make him sympathetic or relatable. Those sensitive towards depictions of animal cruelty are warned. He does some absolutely heinous stuff, making you understand why Rocket is (according to Gunn) the "saddest creature in the universe".

The entire cast do their best work yet in each of their respective characters. Nebula in particular has always been a favorite of mine, and watching the character's growth across multiple Guardians and Avengers films is one of the most interesting aspects of the entire MCU. Gamora is given an interesting role here, having turned into a complete a-hole due to the time-travel shenanigans from Avengers Endgame. The film thankfully avoids giving her a sappy boyfriend-girlfriend reconciliation with Peter Quill. Drax continues to be a doofus, but shows his worth as a kind parental figure in the end. Mantis is given a new familial relationship with Peter (thanks to the Holiday Special), which changes their dynamic quite a bit, also allowing her to mature. Kraglin and Cosmo the Dog also make a fun pairing in their scenes, and are given greater emphasis than before.

Special mention must be made of the wonderful practical effects on display here, showcasing a variety of fun creatures and aliens and settings. The computer effects also stand out here by providing Rocket (and other CG characters) with genuine pathos and expression. This is the most polished looking live-action comic book movie in recent years, avoiding the poor compositing and rushed looking VFX that plagued Quantumania and Wakanda Forever.

There is a fantastic "oner" hallway fight in the third act that is perhaps the best action scene in the MCU, and it perfectly encapsulates the unique cinematic joy that Gunn infuses into these movies that so many other MCU entries lack. These are James Gunn films first and foremost. It should be no surprise that when directors are allowed to use their own creative voices in their work, that the work becomes enjoyable beyond mere franchise appeal. Of all the MCU entries since Endgame, this one feels the most like an actual movie made by someone with a clear vision.

On a closing note, I will never hear "The Dog Days are Over" by Florence + The Machine the same way again.

the only thing I'll add to this in lieu of MCU fans finding the post is that my beef is truly, genuinely just with the aesthetic choice alone based on very-very personal biases, and not with the quality of the CG or the possibility of it being written and directed badly etc.

(I mean it does seem redundant to create an animated character for what is essentially a slightly larger normal human, but we know marvel would rather hire an entire underpaid vfx house than a single unionized makeup artist, so I digress)

I don't know much about the character's history, their various comic interpretations, or optics of the show; I'm just here feeling dissonance with the word "hulk" and being keenly aware of the running mmo gender choices gag. Daddies Steve and Bucky, +18 Little Peter, Littles are Known, Uncle Tony, MCU Littles and CGs, whump, comfort, hinting

It’s barbeque Saturday again at Peter’s Daddies’ house and everyone is invited. Peter’s friends Mantis, Natasha and MJ are all there. Their caregivers are there too, like Gamora, Bruce and Pepper. Peter’s uncles Stephen and Tony are there too. And the latter just so happens to be Peter’s favourite.

Peter was introduced to Tony through his Daddies Steve and Bucky. The three of them used to play on a football team together in college, and have remained friends ever since despite studying different things. Steve is a nurse and his husband Bucky is a radiologist, and Peter lets everyone know how awesome his Daddies are for helping people. Peter is less thrilled about the fact that Tony is a dentist, but it is rarely brought up. To Peter, Tony is Uncle Tony first and foremost.

But, that is about to change.

While the Littles play in the garden, the caregivers are gathered around on the porch. Pepper and Gamora have managed to drag Bruce and Stephen into complex discussion about skin care. However, skin are does not interest Tony much, so he goes to join Bucky by the grill.

“Have you told him yet?” Tony asks, gesturing to Peter in the garden.

Bucky looks up from what he is doing, and his face looks puzzled.

“About what?”

“That I’m doing his dental appointment next week, like we agreed.” Tony fills in, making Bucky hum in realisation.

“Oh! Right, no, we haven’t. Stevie and I tell Peter about appointments like that the same morning we are going. It saves him a lot of worrying that way.” Bucky explains.

“Hmm, that’s smart.” Tony hums, taking another sip of his beer. “He didn’t mention it when we hugged earlier, so I didn’t mention it either.”

“Good. We want to keep it a secret. For now.” Bucky winks, and Tony raises his beer in a salute, like he is promising to keep his mouth shut.

Tony is about to offer his help with the barbequeing, now that the grill is warm enough, but just then he hears a Little voice call his name.

“Uncle Tonyyyy!”

And of course, it is Peter.

Tony excuses himself from Bucky, and sets aside his beer to join the Littles on the grass.

“What’s up?”

“Can you swing the rope for us?” Peter asks on behalf of Mantis, Natasha and MJ. All four Littles watch Tony with wide adoring eyes. How could Tony ever say no to them?

“Yeah, I can. Who’s gonna take the other side?” Tony asks, since none of the Littles are strong enough to swing the big rope. Besides, they would all rather be jumping.

“Hmm, Dada can do it!” Peter decides, and is just about to run off to get Steve, but Tony stops him.

“Your Dada’s is about to start the barbequing. Maybe go try Uncle Bruce instead?”

“Okay!”

Tony and the Daddies will just have to wait and see if Peter will be this cooperative and happy go see his Uncle when Tony is about to use his scary dental instruments on the boy.

so uh last night at like 4 am i couldnt sleep, decided to walk my dog, and came up with this bad boy. It’s a rough draft, though. um @professional-benaddict read it and told me to post it, so whatever rafni says goes.

so i LOVE the doctor trope w stephen and tony to death, like probably a lil too much, but hear me out

--canon tony and the avengers with not canon (aka powerless) little peter

--im thinking how they met is before peter became classified as a little, he was smart smart. so, he still gets the internship, but a real one this time.

--hes hanging out with the other interns when he feels himself regress. he freaks and goes to hide in a bathroom or something

--he runs into (probably pepper??) someone and they help him get out of the tower because he's obviously very vulnerable

--they (pepper?) take him to the hospital to get tested and find out hes a high care little. once they find out peter freaks out because omg he cant work like this

--(pepper?) assures him that they will figure it our, but with no CG, and just for plot sake, he also is living alone at this point so they dont feel comfortable sending him home, so he stays overnight, at least, in the hospital

--(pepper?) goes to talk to tony himself about this since hes the one who chose and hired the interns. tony isnt quite sure what to do because peter is one of the best in their group

--(pepper?) suggests that he go have a one on one talk with peter and see what the boy wants to do with his future, and also meet with the doctors to see what they think is best for his future

--now, tony has met peter a few times, and the kid is pretty cool, but he never really cared about him (harsh, but canon tony is pretty reserved so yuh) so, when he goes into the hospital room to talk with him, hes mentally preparing to never see peter again

--but, when he walks in, he sees peter sat on a cot carefully coloring in an avengers coloring book, and his entire aura is different and /adorable/

--as if he wasnt already kinda done for, when peter notices he's there, he looks up, eyes blown wide and a kid-like face on full of awe

--he sits on the end of the bed and they simply stare at each other before peter finally gets the courage to ask why tony is there, stuttering through it like an adorable mess

--tony freaks out, because as good as peter is, he planned on letting peter down, but now that hes here, all he wants is to see the boy.

--instead he smooths his nervousness and easily asks about how the boy is doing. he asks if peter has a CG, and predicably, peter just sadly shakes his head

--anyways i dont really know how this part would be worded, and it probably wouldnt happen in just one day, but eventually tony asks peter if he wants tony to take care of him

--peter is a cutie and accepts, again dont really have this part planned out, im akward when it comes to writing about the adopting of a little

--he goes with tony and since he lives in the tower, he also gets the avengers as glorified CGs. now this is the part i LOVE

tony stark- he's obviously the main man and does all the main caring. hes the one who sleeps with peter and makes sure he gets food, and plans the days. he also sometimes will hand make little gadgets (safe ofc) to occupy peter. he gets peter little engineering/inventing kits and will hold back any groans he has as peter hits his leg with a plastic hammer and screwdriver. he also is the one who is ALWAYS there, when he cries, when he's happy, when he's sad.

thor- he lets peter play with his hair, and even lets the boy snuggle, and sometimes even chew on, mjolnir (because of course peter would be worthy)

steve rogers- he lets peter look at and hold the shield. one day he finds the boy curled like a cat dosing on the inside of it

natasha- she speaks in russian to him, and when he goes outside to the park, shes there making sure no one disturbs him

wanda+sam (i had an idea for them when i originally thought of this, but i cant remember it now :/)

bucky- he lets peter also mess with his hair, although more rare than thor, but he does let peter suck on his metal fingers when hes really small, and will scratch peters scalp with it, the metal scratching much better than normal skin. also if he ever gets a fever, the cold of the arm feels amazing on his forehead

bruce- not strictly canon since hes more sciency than doctor, but i imagine bruce is the one who does checkups and takes care of the meds when peter is sick

stephen- he doesnt do it often, plus he's not at the tower much, but hell do little harmless "magic" tricks to excite Peter and when peter gets grumpy, stephen will give him a little stress spell thing to calm peter down

peter quill- i imagine hes the one who is down to do lots of fun stuff, but is also the most reckless towards the actions suited towards littles, getting a lot of scolding from tony. also, he has great taste in music, so when peter has bursts of energy, he'll bounce around the room dancing to old 80s music

rocket- hes the closest peters ever gonna get to a pet, and with lots of bribing from tony, rocket /occasionally/ lets peter pet him and feed him "treats", sometimes peter will ask rocket to do a trick like jump or spin, but rocket with always decline...at first. peters trademark pouts do the trick because either rocket will concede and hurt his pride, or tony will see and threaten rocket into making his little boy happy. its always worth it to see the happy little squirms and claps

gamora- she's the resident story teller. when its bedtime, she'll share her cool space stories, leaving out the gory/scarier aspects. it always does the trick as hes out in minutes. sometimes hell catch her and peter q engaging in loving activities (ie kissing, hugging, whatever), and he'll just giggle away, and as embarrassed as gamora gets, not being an openly affectionate person, she might just go to the extreme to hear the cute giggles out of the little boy

clint- hes pretty chill with peter. he also likes to play games with the boy, playing things like peek-a-boo when he's super small, or playing darts when he feels older. tony isnt /too/ happy about it, but its better than quill so he doesnt say anything.

pepper is there too because i love the idea of tony working away somewhere and pepper calling peter in, handing him a few sheets of paper, sometimes actual documents, sometimes just scratch paper to entertaim the boy, before asking peter to deliver them to tony. she always has a smile when peter eagerly nods with his whole body before running to the office to give tony the papers. it almost always ends with peter in his lap, but it /always/ ends in tony praising him, saying something along the lines of 'theres my little helper boy. look at you'

--on any particular day peter wakes up aged up, he doesn't even miss his old internship because this life is so much better, although on these days tony actually lets him help with some safer stuff in the lab with him

--also, they are still the avengers and still have to save the universe. tony leaves him in the care of Happy or Pepper, trusting them both to handle him. sometimes, it ends in disaster. sometimes, they are lucky enough to find happy laying on the couch, with a drooling little boy soaking his suit

--no matter how things end up, it never gets old being able to come home and cuddle up with the reason tony wants to save the universe.

--its no surprise peter is able to help the man just as much as tony helps him. tony stops locking himself up so late at night so he can put peter to bed and cuddle up. he stops drinking when he's stressed, instead finding his boy and reading a story to him. his hookups end, he wants to be there for peter all the time. he gets more work done, the added bonus of having a pretty little boy in his lap helping keep his mind on track.

--tony still has his canon issues, but having peter there makes everything a little more manageable. and when he eventually gets too old to be ironman, its okay, because his universe is lying in bed, a red pacifier in his mouth, and a family of superheroes softly arguing about who the boy loves most

--and despite tony being a narcissist, he knows this is not that, when he thinks that without a doubt he is peters favorite. after all, peter helped him see the good inside the bad

One day Quill went to the Collector again just to exchange something and when he saw you sitting in one of those cages he knew instantly you were from earth.

Peter didn't care how many Units he had to pay or what the crew would say.

He only had to take one look at you and had the need to take you somewhere safe and help you.

You didn't say a single word when he picked you up and carried you away, you were far too scared and shaking like a leaf, not knowing what that stranger would do to you.

He wasn't scary looking and you somehow felt more at ease when he smiled at you.

"I'm not going to hurt you. You're safe now, I promise"

You sighed in relief and rested your head on his shoulder, finally feeling safe enough to close your eyes.

"Quill, you had one job." Rocket remarked and watched Peter gently placing you on one of their seats, buckling you in without waking you up.

"Could you shut up for a second!" Peter whisper-yelled and motioned his team members to follow him somewhere else where they can talk freely.

"Peter, who is that and why did you bring her here?" Gamora asked and Peter sighed.

"Listen, I know this might sound stupid but I just couldn't leave her there. She looked miserable and I know she's from earth, I don't want to know how the Collector got her in the first place," he said and the others stayed quiet.

Gamora turned her head to look at your sleeping form. She saw Groot placing a blanket over your body and smiled a little when he pat your head gently. Quill was right, you definitely didn't look healthy and she felt bad for you. What you had to go through must have been hard to take in.

"Okay, she can sleep in my bed until we find another solution," Gamora said and kissed Peter on his cheek.

"Thank you."

"So, we're going to keep it?" Drax asked and Quill gave him a 'what the hell' look when he referred to you as 'it'.

"Dude, she's not a pet," Peter told him. "But yes, she's going to stay with us. A new member of the Guardians" he smiled.

One month later

"Y/n, sweetheart, put that down for daddy, yeah?" Peter tried to stay calm while you were giggling and running around with one of his weapons.

"You have ta catch me first!" you shout and suddenly bumped into Groot, who took the weapon out of your hand making you pout.

"I am Groot" he scolded and you huffed, turning to Peter.

"Sowwy I took your blaster, daddy," you said and Groot pat your head two times, you smiled again and took his hand.

Peter was still shocked at how fast Groot handled this situation and Gamora chuckled while walking over to him.

"How is he doing that?" he asked.

"Are we getting a little jealous?" Gamora smirked and Peter scoffed.

"Jealous? Me? Never." he said confidently and they both saw you sitting on Groot's lap, playing with his old Gameboy and squealing in joy. "Maybe a little."

"Just remember who she is going to cuddle with later when it's time for bed" she reminds him, making her way over to you and booped your nose.

Groot and you had a special bond and would spend a lot of time with him. He's so protective of you that when there's a fight he would rather stay with you on the Milano to make sure you're safe.

Sometimes when you visited other planets you were always allowed to leave the ship but only with one of the others and you have to hold one of their hands at all times.

"Gwoot look!" you pointed at something that looked like a stuffed animal. "It looks funny" you smiled and Groot did so as well.

"Y/n, come on, we have to go!" Peter called for you and you rushed over to him.

Back in the ship you were sitting in your little play area, playing with your toys when Groot stood in front of you with his arms behind his back.

You gasped when he showed you the stuffed animal you saw earlier. You jumped up and took the stuffie, feeling how soft it is.

"Fank you!" you smiled and hugged Groot tightly.

"I am Groot" he smiled back and handed you a juice box too.

You took that stuffie everywhere, to bed, to eat, to the bathroom, and would get upset when you lost him somewhere in the ship and everyone would end up helping to find it.

50 - Kozuki Kallen (Code Geass)

She could have embraced the privilege that would come with her brittain lineage. Instead, she chose to give that up in favor of fighting for freedom and equality. Fiercy, brave and skilled. Too bad that CG had this bad habit of adding unnecessary sexualization of it's female characters in the most random moments

49 - Ferris Bueller (Ferris Bueller's Day Off)

I was completly charmed by the chaotic energy he had. He's absurdly smart, but, instead of carefully planning, he would rather go around doing whathever he wants and dealing with problems as they come. Not the wisest way to live real life, but very fun to watch on tv

48 - Allen Avadonia (Evillious Chronicles)

My First contact with the EC was the song Servant of Evil. Probably not an uncommon way of starting. But still made me emotionally attached to the character. I found interesting how, in the song, he explain his actions, but never tries to justify, neither he tries to justify Riliane's actions. He just goes "Yes, that's my sister, the Evil Queen, and would commit atrocities for her". He calls himself "evil", he doesn't try to avoid this. The character never comes up as cruel. He's always acting for someone else's sake. But he's still a villain. If not in nature, at least in the role he (willingly) plays. As the song of his adoptive father Leonhart, A Hero's Armor Is Always Crimson, says

"Even if these are deeds for someone's sake

Can you call that "justice"?"

47 - Guren (Naruto)

One of the best female characters in Naruto. I was really disappointed when I found out that she was Just a filler character that did not exist in the mangá.

46 - A-Qing (Mo Dao Zu Shi)

She was smart, brave, but not reckless, and a godly self control. She deserved better. She was a child who grew in the streets with no family. Xiao Xingchen was the first to show her affection, so she tried to save that person instead of simply saving herself when she had the chance

45 - Belle (Beauty and The Beast)

The Disney movie. Belle loved books and fantasy and daydreamed a lot. I've seen people say that she acted as If she was better than people in her villeage, wich is not true at all. She was sweet and more than once in the song Belle, she tried to talk with other people about the books she was reading, tried to share her passion and her toughts with someone else, but no one was interested. She was judged for being different, even tought she never did anything to them. Judging what Is different is kinda the theme of the movie, but apparently some people missed It

44 - Tatiana Slozhno (Spies Are Forever)

Great musical, I recomend to everyone. Go watch it. Tatiana is great and her song, Prisoner of My Past, is just perfect. So short, but so much emotion.

43 - Asriel Dreemmur/ Flowey (Undertale)

Maybe I Just listened to too much versions of His Theme, but this character always hit me right in the heart. He's very tragic and, even in the happy ending, we cannot save him. It's impossible. We cannot bring back his souls. We cannot bring back Chara. Even after that Nice talking and hug, he's doomed to Go back to being a souless flower.

42 - Nebula (MCU)

I'm sure most of us are tired from MCU by now, but they did some things right. They had a lot of chances, so It makes sense. Nebula should have killed Thanos. If the writers coudn't give up that Iron Man scene, she should at least kill the Thanos from her timeline instead of Thor. Honestly, before Infinity War came out, what I truly wanted was a team formed by her, Tony Stark and Loki defeating Thanos. Not only because they are my favorite MCU characters, but also because they were the ones with personal issues with Thanos, along with Gamora and Drax

41 - Orihara Izaya (Durarara)

Sometimes you just want to see a bastard being the worst in the screen. But we have to agree, he's not the worst person in the story, just the one who was in the role of the antagonist for longer. Let's not forget that Vorona was a killer by choice. Anyway, he's a interesting character. His main motivation is his interest in human behaviour. Also his relationship with death and afterlife is very interesting to me as well

Some musings on symbiote morphology (AKA when size does matter)

So, back when Venom was still in cinemas, I saw it with a friend who (like me) enjoyed it mightily -- though said friend did roll her eyes pretty hard at the She-Venom scene, because of course the female!Venom has to be skinny and sexy. Of course she does.

I mean, the sexual dimorphism on display here is, uh... pretty extreme.

Usually, this would’ve gotten to me too. Few issues in genre film stick in my craw like the double standards applied to male and female bodies (ask me my thoughts on the likes of Wonder Woman or Gamora at your peril). So it was a little surprising to find that this was one I was mostly willing to shrug off.

Why? Well, that requires a bit of backing up and some more context. But mostly, it’s the perfect jumping-off point for a whole lot of rambling about visual shorthands and how symbiote morphology has been handled in the comics over the years, which apparently I had a whole essay’s worth of thoughts on. So here we go.

Now, Comic!Venom =/= Movie!Venom. They aren’t the same character, don’t have the same history, and their biology doesn’t follow the same rules.  But one is still the basis for the other, so we’re going to start waayyy back at the beginning.

Since the symbiote's introduction back in '84, precious little about the species has remained consistent through the many writers and retcons, but one detail that Marvel was -- mostly -- consistent on back in the early days is that the shape a symbiote takes depends a lot on the body of its host. So when Spider-man was wearing the symbiote the result was (by design) literally just Spider-man-but-in-black:

But Venom's next host did not have the muscularly-lean body of Peter Parker, he had the jacked-up muscle-mountain that was Eddie Brock’s -- and the result is the Venom we all know and love.

Whereas when completely-normal-human-woman Anne Weying first bonds with the Venom symbiote in Sinner Takes All, we get a much slimmer She-Venom.

You can see the same trends at work with the Life Foundation Five and various other examples. So, in the comics at least, there’s some internal consistency explaining why He-Venom and She-Venom should look so very different. (Why Eddie and Anne should be such wildly different sized humans is a whoooole other topic, but best left in the Don’t Get Me Started pile for now.)

Of course, when the guy you've cast as Eddie has the physique of Tom Hardy rather than, say, He-Man, the logic of why Venom looks so huge falls apart. 

  ⬥ Venom and She-Venom, actual size comparison.

While comic book writers of the 80's may have been able to convince a generation of fans not to question why a professional journalist would be jacked enough to dwarf Captain America, film adds a layer of realism and audience expectations that would make that a much harder sell (not to mention limiting your casting options to a much smaller pool). Casting Tom Hardy was inarguably the right call. 

If Eddie no longer looked like Venom, the other solution would have been to make Venom look more like Tom Hardy--but good luck getting that past the existing fanbase. When it comes to pleasing the longtime fans, it's safe to say that Venom, not Eddie, is the character who has to look the part. Plus, Venom is entirely CG, so casting and realism no longer have to matter. Fanboys can have their giant Venom and tiny She-Venom, and the fangirls can have Tom Hardy getting all prettily roughed up. There are worse solutions.

Don't get me wrong: they could and absolutely should have evened up the difference on screen by giving She-Venom some extra body mass (she is on screen for like ten seconds, the fanboys can effing deal). But when the key decision that fucked up those ratios is making Eddie so much slimmer and sexier than he was originally supposed to be, I am unusually willing to give them a tentative pass. I mean, I love comics!Eddie too, but I can’t see him working on screen.

While I’m talking symbiote-bodies, it’s worth going into some of the other reasons to make Eddie+symbiote so huge, the obvious ones being to a) make him more threatening, and b) emphasise that Eddie's bonded with the symbiote in a way Peter never did. As a shape-shifter, Venom can make his host look bigger but not smaller (which is presumably why Rad Eddie may look younger than regular!Eddie, but is still suspiciously large for a skateboarder hanging with teens).

But size isn't the only way to make a character like Venom threatening. Compare Carnage, who is much more dangerous than Venom -- but (along with his host) fairly consistently drawn as smaller and leaner than the original.

He's still plenty threatening, though -- not because he's huge, but because he's completely bugfuck nuts and into murder for recreation. His design gets this across with a texture less like skin than a mass of veins and tentacles. Size is a good visual shorthand for danger, but it's not the only shorthand that works for symbiotes of the 90′s heyday.

You can see the same logic at work in Toxin too (a lesser-known and sadly mistreated Carnage-spawn from the early 00's). Precious little about Toxin's look remained consistent from one creative team to the next, but the impact of the host body is still there. His first host, Pat Mulligan, was a pretty average-sized dude, which is reflected in his bonded form (left), but when Eddie gets the Toxin symbiote later on, we get a much bigger Toxin (right). And Eddie's Toxin has more tentacles and rougher skin, so we know he's not going to be friendly (Eddie was really not in a good place at this point in his history).

Perhaps the most interesting example is Agent Venom, who turns up when the military bonds the Venom symbiote to Flash Thompson: disabled vet and card-carrying Spidey fan. His Venom-look is a brilliant bit of storytelling-through-design: the face and overall build hearkens back to Spider-man's time in the symbiote, the equipment signposts his military connections (past and present), and black will always be the signifier of a guy working black ops.

Perhaps most important, there's no mouth (compare both Spidey and Toxin #1), which is our sign that the symbiote's under control -- drugged into submission by the military, in fact.

But key to Flash's time in the role is that the Venom symbiote doesn't always stay drugged and docile, and whenever it starts to break free, Agent Venom morphs into Venom's traditional look -- gaping mouth, no belts or shoulder pads, and lots of bulky muscles a la the original flavour Eddie Brock (you can see him mid-transformation on the left below).

Does that make sense, when Flash is the host? Probably not, but comic book logic, as usual, is suspended for the sake of visual shorthand: fans know what Venom is "supposed" to look like, so that's what he looks like when the comic wants to telegraph that Flash is losing control. And that, I suspect, is why Lee Price's Venom (above right) looks more like Eddie's, even though Lee Price looks more like Flash. Price may be the one in charge, but he’s also a madman, so his Venom has to look out of control. The comics have officially hit Tom Hardy territory: Venom is huge now because people have come to expect Venom to look like the original Eddie-Brock!Venom, regardless of who’s inside.

There are bigger exceptions to the rule, however -- two of the more interesting turned up almost simultaneously in 2015, when both Venom!Flash and Toxin!Eddie got significant redesigns in the pages of Venom: Space Knight and Carnage (2015). Now Flash's Venom is the bulky muscular one, while Eddie's Toxin looks slimmer than Eddie has ever been before or since. What's going on here? Did the artists just screw up?

Well, not entirely -- the characters haven't just flipped looks, they've flipped roles. Now Toxin's the one being drugged into submission by a US agency (and we can only assume those drugs somehow prompt a symbiote to produce pouches, because we're two-for-two on that front). Meanwhile, Venom's been "purged of corruption" and has finally bonded with Flash as a full partner, which may be why they opted for something closer to his original look. Note that Venom has no mouth, and Toxin's is positively restrained by symbiote standards, which tells you a lot about the temperament we can expect from both of them.

That said, I don't think either design really works. Venom's new look is a real step back in creativity from his Agent Venom days, and the helmet-face would be better suited to a mech design than a symbiote who's being treated as a real character for the first time. Meanwhile, Toxin’s look doesn't really work for Eddie, for all the same reasons it did work for Flash: Eddie isn't a trusted agent in this scenario, he's more like an intelligent animal on a short leash. It isn't just the builds that are wrong -- none of the story comes across well in these designs.

All in all, the longer Venom’s been around, the less the standard host=symbiote rules seem to apply. Venom is huge because his look is sufficiently iconic that that’s what the fans expect, regardless of who’s on the inside, or whether we’ve just rewritten his entire backstory and made the jump to film.

Speaking of which, it’s worth pointing out that there is actually precedent in the comics for female symbiotes who aren't drawn like a bikini model in a layer of black body paint. One is Patricia Robertson, who bonds with the "Venom" symbiote (read: not actually the Venom symbiote) in the 2003 Venom series.

Though Trish is a woman of fairly average build, her "Venom" is virtually indistinguishable from Eddie's (too much so, if anything -- it's very hard to tell which is which when they clash). Unfortunately, the 2003 series is otherwise an ugly, incomprehensible mess of a comic, containing almost nothing that has ever been referenced again. I can really only recommend it to absolute completists.

Somewhat better handled is Tarna, a skrull Agent of the Cosmos who appears in Venom: Space Knight. Tarna's symbiotic look is not remotely feminine, and one suspects that's the point: it's ugly, threatening, and gives no clue as to who's inside. (Her symbiote can also separate from her while maintaining form, making the comparison pic unusually easy for me).

But as a shapeshifting alien bonded to a shapeshifting symbiote, Tarna perhaps doesn't make the best example for general principles. It’s worth keeping in mind that every design has a storytelling function too: Patricia’s Venom needs to be mistakable for the original Venom for plot reasons, and the reveal that Tarna is a humanoid woman under her symbiote is set up as a surprise. But the creators of the film wanted us to know that was Anne under the symbiote from the moment she appeared, so sexy!She-Venom it is.

All that said, at the very end of the day, I’d much rather not have to make these excuses for the film. I’d much rather see more Tarnas and fewer She-Venom’s, and both film and comics have a long way to go before we get there yet.

Just watched that deleted Endgame scene where most of the heroes kneel to honor Tony and I get why it was cut because parts of it were done kind of awkwardly (and I assume it didn’t make it far enough to CG Rocket there or a bunch of people in the background hahah but also why is everyone right there, I feel like some must have been on the other side of the battlefield lol).

However it would have at least given more proper closure to Gamora and Drax’s arcs from these two films, which is the biggest small problem I had with Endgame. But they could have easily replaced it with a shot of them seeing Thanos and his army being defeated. Baffles me to no end that a shot like that wasn’t included. Literally a 5 second shot of those two characters would have wrapped up their arcs in these films but instead Drax is just completely ignored as a character in Endgame and the last time we see Gamora she’s just fighting some bad guys. So odd.

Like I get that they’re gonna be in another film while Steve and Tony might not be, but I mean you had a shot of T’Challa & Quill reacting to Thanos being defeated and that’s not really that important to their arcs AT ALL. Where as it is for Drax and Gamora. Forever gonna be upset over a 5 second shot missing from this film hahahah.

But yeah, I don’t think you needed that moment in the film, just a shortened version. Like just have the characters being there abd reacting to it, like if I remember we only got Strange, Steve and Thor standing there seeing it. Could have added just a couple shots with Quill, Nebula, Drax, Rocket, Scott, Carol, Bruce, Wanda, Bucky, Sam and Clint at least (which is most of them but like have multiple in each shot the way it was in the deleted scene). That’s all that would have been needed. I did think it that scene was just a little too quick.

ALSO EVERY TIME I SEE BEHIND THE SCENES FOOTAGE AND KRAGLIN’S THERE IT HURTS SO MUCH (recently saw some bloopers). I can’t wait to go frame by frame and see if he’s there for a single one hahah. How did they not just have the arrow flying around in the background?? Would have been so cool.
