I was researching, and I realized that the timeline of the circle is completely wrong.
For example, Jocelyn was born in 1970; and she said that she fell in love with Valentine around the age of 16. However, in "The Evil We Love" in "Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy", which takes place in 1984, she and Valentine are already together. However, in 1984, Jocelyn was supposedly 14 years old, which makes no sense at all! Taking into consideration that Jonathan was born in April 1990, we can have the notion that he was conceived around July 1989. We know that Jocelyn was 19 at the time, and she herself said that she got married at 18 (supposedly in 1988).
but then again, Jocelyn had already turned 38 in 2007, just as Jonathan/Sebastian had already turned 17. and if we do the math, it seems that Jocelyn gave birth to her firstborn at 21, when logically she would have given birth at 20. i don't know, i feel confused now, and this is just one of the cases. another confusing case is that of Celine and Stephen (+conception of Jace).

I hope Stephen & Amatis had an affair while he was married to Celine actually.
Considering she consented to Valentine breaking them up for her just so she could have Stephen, I condone them cheating entirely.
I hope Stephen made it clear to Celine he didn't and would never love her, she deserves it after the way she ruined his happy 1st marriage and thought so little of Amatis for not being "pretty enough" for him.

I get the feeling that if Stephen and Celine Herondale hadn’t been murdered, they would have divorced eventually and Stephen probably would’ve been a deadbeat dad

Ya know what would’ve been cool
Is if Johnny Rook was originally french and one of his parents left the clave to marry a mundane.
And Johnny’s shadowhunter parent was originally like Terence Montclaire (Celine’s Uncle)
So then it would acc make sense that Jace and Kit look/act alike bc they share great grandparents and a whole french side of the family
Bc I can suspend my disbelief about faeries and demonhunting part angels but I draw the line at Kit and Jace “sharing Herondale charm”
When the shared ancestor they have is so far back that it wouldn’t show up on ancestry dna
So far back that the majority of people can’t track that far
So far back that Jace and Kit could get married
Bc IF (big IF) the Blackthorns are directly descended from Lucie then Ty and Kit are as distantly related as Jace and Kit lmaoo
But tbh I don’t think the Blackthorn’s are directly related to Lucie & Jesse bc if they are then it makes Tessa seem like a pretty shit mom 😭 (just in that she cares a lot for Jace’s survival so her sons descendants and Kit’s —mainly bc he’s a “lost herondale” but only ever interacts with the Blackthorn’s via Kit & Emma)
Bc honestly if The Blackthorn’s are directly descended from Lucie & Jesse I would say that Tessa totally neglecting them (plothole or not) is more fucked up than Kit & Ty possibly sharing an ancestor 200 yrs ago 😭

i think it's interesting how we find out in the wicked ones that celine wasn't exactly a victim in the amatis/stephen divorce situation. i mean, she was certainly a victim of valentine, but in the case of amatis and stephen's divorce, she wasn't the victim—in fact, amatis was the only victim. stephen, of course, was the most guilty, since he was the one who was married and the one who decided to end his marriage because valentine told him to, and marry a girl he referred to as a child

Sophie: You know usually I hate men but Jem is such a sweetheart and he has really nice hands….
Cecily: He’s really fine, I would go for it if it wasn’t for Tessa and my brother and stuff.
Lily: Brother SNACKariah
Matthew: Jem could totally pull anyone he wanted.
Sister Emilia: You know…. If his is the last male face I ever see…. I’d be totally chill with that.
Cèline: He’s actually very attractive.
Isabelle: He’s reallllly hot for a Silent Brother.
Tessa and Will: *would quite literally do anything for Jem*
Jem: I’m so ugly….. so unattractive……. who could love me…….

Have you read Stephen's letter to Jace? He writes, wondering who raised him. As if he knew what was going to happen to Celine and that she wouldn't survive it, or did he think his parents would take the child away, or was he into all of Valentine's experiments and that's what disappointed him in him? Now it's bothering me.

I don’t care what’s canon in books. Jace herondale greatly resembles his mom Céline and I’m ready to fight anyone who wants to disagree with me 😤
