Super late to the party here, but in honor of the Charity Auction a few days ago…

Here’s a little graphic I did to celebrate Cyclethon 3 and successfully raising $1M for the Immune Deficiency Foundation!

Usually I don’t donate to influencer charity fundraisers bc I don’t feel like the meager dollars I can offer will make a difference. (Now, I know that’s not necessarily true, but the feeling lingers.) Plus, the influencer in question doesn’t seem to be invested in the cause, which discourages me.

But Connor made it very clear that every single dollar makes a difference. He’s actively involved with the IDF via frequent conference calls, so he’s able to give his viewers accurate information. And he did so often during the streams. He made it clear that this unknown cause, something I’d never considered before, was something he earnestly believes in and supports. Thanks to his honesty and dedication, I felt compelled to donate, create art, and share about the amazing work of Connor and the IDF (Ironmouse Defense Force lol).

Thanks to Connor and Ironmouse's effiorts, I know for a fact that our donations are being used to educate doctors and treat patients.

I haven't even touched on Ironmouse's role in all of this, but I feel less qualified to talk about her. (I've been watching and following Connor for years. On the other hand, I've been following Ironmouse for only about a year.) But I will say that she is a valuable and fun friend to Connor and so many others; the Cyclethons and Charity Auctions would not exist without her and her friendship with Connor.

april camp nanowrimo: day 01

word progress: 1,341 / 40,000

day 1 and i managed to reach my goal with a few minutes to spare! i'm gonna be honest... i put my midterm on pause just to reach my word count. i know i know, i'm not a good student, but i don't think the midterm won't take me too long to write.

kinda had a rocky start though. like i said in my last post, i'm continuing where i left off in my first draft of project garden. and where i last left off was in the middle of chapter, which definitely threw off any momentum i could've had. i had to reread what i had written in the chapter to remember what had happened so i didn't accidently repeat anything that was said. i considered rewriting the entire chapter, but that felt like cheating and it would've put me an entire two days ahead. i managed to make it in the end though! i watched cdawgva's cyclethon stream while writing, which was entertaining but also distracting lol

favorite color: It depends on my mood, so I don't have a single favorite color. I don't like teal and using lots of super saturated colors, though. Teal feels oddly like a mix of coldly clinical and some kind of herbal medicine (I'm sorry to all the teals in Homestuck). I like it when it's paired with other colors.

last song: Uh....

currently reading: Not reading anything in particular atm, but if you got any good Satoru GojoxReader fanfics, I'd give it a read. Idk if visual novels count, but I'm replaying Scarlet Hollow (again). It's good, imo- great narrative design.

currently watching: I have multiple tabs open to watch/listen to while I draw and the order I watch them is chaotic. One of them is a cyclethon across Japan with CDawgVA hosting and AbroadInJapan. Another one is Gab Smolders's playthrough of Fears to Fathom 5.

Currently craving: a long veggie sandwich with crunchy bread (I'm hungry while typing this), Satoru Gojo

coffee or tea: Neither. I like frappucinos, though.
