(through gritted teeth) sometimes what's good for your mental health isn't another do nothing day or a little treat sometimes what's good for you is putting in some of the work. I think she's one of my faves. I've seen a few discussions as to what her route "means". I don't really join in most of the time because people disagree so much on a highly interpretive work. To me, I think there is beauty in showing remorse, kind of like the progression to Thorn's route. I'm not attracted to the Princess, but I don't think this is a "break up chapter" so much as recognizing that your lover has her own desires that don't have anything to do with you while also loving you and genuinely wanting to be with you.

Although, to that one person who told me pre-Pristine Cut they disagree with the hint that Damsel wanted more than just to love and be loved-

When writing always remember… a character flaw is only a flaw until becomes useful. 

Is your protagonist manipulative? Well that’s awful… until they manipulate the antagonist into making a decision that saves the lives of their friends. 

Is your protagonist a skeptic? Well that’s not good… until someone tries to lie to them. 

Is your protagonist overprotective? That sucks… until someone they love is in danger. 

Is your protagonist remorseless? Well that makes them pretty unlikeable… until a hard decision has to be made.
