It took me so long to come to terms with being OCD because I only ever knew it as when someone is "really tidy and organised" which I was the opposite of, but looking back so many of my behaviours were so obviously OCD
It was the most obvious in my bedtime routine.
I'd start by making sure my door was closed by pressing it 12 times. Then I would recite a prayer to God and if I messed up I'd have to start again -I didn't grow up in a religious household (both my parents are atheists) so this was just bizzarre.
Then I'd sit on my bed and recite a list of things I didn't want to appear in the night- this included clowns, ants, spiders and "You know what" - which was Jeff the Killer but I couldn't say his name because I was scared that would summon him. I'd then look out my window and check 12 times that nobody was in my backward and that my window was closed. BTW, I could not look at my phone at all until all of this was complete.
That was my OCD. While I don't do those specific things anymore, it still shows up in other things, mainly the morality ocd
Greetings bugs and worms!
This comic is a little different than what I usually do but I worked real hard on it—Maybe I'll make more infographic stuff in the future this ended up being fun. Hope you learned something new :)
If you are still curious and want to learn more about OCD, you can visit the International OCD Foundation's website. I also recommend this amazing TED ED video "Starving The Monster", which was my first introduction to the disorder and this video by John Green about his own experience with OCD.
The IOCDF's website can also help you find support groups, therapy, and has lots of online guides and resources as well if you or a loved one is struggling with the disorder. It is very comprehensive!
Reblog to teach your followers about OCD
(But also not reblogging doesn't make you evil, silly goose)

2024 is a terrible year to be a henchman. The word "minion" is barely usable and you can't even say "goon" anymore.
