christian bale's brucie wayne is so funny. legally dead returns to gotham like nothing happened, throws a fuckass party that burns his family's historic mansion to the ground, buys majority shares of his own company back because he doesn't like the guy running it, takes the entire russian ballet on a yacht cruise just for funsies and maybe to ruin his crush's date with the new da he's obsessed with and throwing fundraisers for even though it isn't even a reelection year. of course gotham citizens don't connect the dots even the party guests who saw him fighting at the party where joker shows up are probably like guess he took self-defense seriously after his parents died. poor kid. terrible life decisions. and they're not wrong but they are wrong. and he knows it.
