I find it so cool that you can tell which tributes in the ballad of songbirds and snakes actually trusted their mentors and which didnt. Like coral and mizzen and a few other ask their mentors for food, while treech and reaper would rather steal it then rely on their mentors and i fucking love that, i love that we got to see that some of the other mentors also got at least some level of trust from their tributes.
#the hunger games#headcanon#tbosas#the ballad of songbirds and snakes#also i want to know what treeches mentor did to earn him not trusting her#cause reapers is valid#clemmie visited him maybe once? of course hes not going to think she will send him food if hes had to fend for himself this whole time#of course hes not going to trust her#what happened with treech?!?

How would any of them (including boysen) react to motti crying?
The sunshine character crying?! Great heavens!
Sans:
It's not often Motti cries so he would be pretty alarmed at first. Immediately ask if she's alright and what happened. Would sit to listen to her if Motti opened up, but more or less he would be making jokes in anyway he can to make her laugh; even if they were really bad that causes her to look at him incredulously. Anything to get Motti to smile because that's what looks best on her.
Big Red:
He doesn't do emotions well at all. No one will ever catch him crying if he can help it and seeing Motti cry would put him in an awkward position and unsure how to handle it. Of course, he's really concerned but he can't ask in the right way that doesn't come off very apprehensive and irritable. Which would cause Motti to shut down and she would stop crying solely because she felt like a burden and embarrassed. Red would hate that and exclaim she can cry around him if she needs to. Awkward back patting ensues.
Boysen:
His first instinct is to ask who did it and instantly calculating all the ways he could hurt that person, but he’ll approach steadily and calmly inquire what happened. If Motti admits it’s nothing serious and doesn’t want to talk about it, he will respect her wishes but that does not stop him from attempting to distract her. If Motti DOES explain what happened, he’s a very good listener, but that’s all it is. He doesn’t verbally comfort, but will grab the back of her head to pull her to his chest.
Swap Sans:
He wouldn’t notice at first, not because he is inept, but he’s so used to immediately chatting away with her upon meeting. Swap’s rambles would dwindle when he hears the sniffling and instantly switches from rambunctious to attentive mode. He would ask Motti if she's in the headspace to verbalize her distress and that if she’s not, his chest is open for her to cry on. He doesn’t care if her tears or snot get on his shirt, he can always wash it later! Besides, it's a badge of honor for him. He comforted her to the best of his ability. Swap would also make her comfort meals and stay by Motti’s side until she’s her usual cheerful self.
Farmer:
This skeleton can tell a mile away something is off and would not hesitate to investigate. He would find Motti in the kitchen and sniffling, but his sudden presence would startle her. She’ll try to wave off that it’s the onions and Farmer wouldn’t have the heart to point out there’s not a single onion on the cutting board. Leaning on the counter, Farmer shoots her a knowing look and it makes her crumble. Farmer will pull Motti into a hug and validate that it's okay for her to be exhausted and think the farming life is hard. He’ll more than likely shortcut them both to Creampuff and do some cuddle therapy.
Reaper:
It’s not easy to make his Goddess cry, but he would be distraught and unsure how to comfort her. He’s used to people crying because Reaper was always the cause of it. So how can he comfort the Goddess of Mirth??? He fears what his touch can do to her and the only thing he can think of is dumping flowers petals on her head. It works though and he’s at ease once more when she laughs.
Dream:
Oh, he knows right away before Motti will even come to terms she’s about to cry. Dream will not hesitate to pull Motti in for a hug and blow raspberries on her neck until she’s laughing. He starts singing her with praise and words of affirmation to the point she’s a flustered mess. His natural energy will shift her onset emotions and he would distract Motti long enough that her whole day is turned around for the better.
Passive Nightmare:
Just like Dream, Passive knows the bubbling of misery in Motti before she even acknowledges it. Comforting her always leaves him feeling apprehensive because he is afraid that the way Motti feels is a result of being around him. He fears he’s slowly poisoning her sunny disposition and causing his living embodiment of a sunflower to wilt. It’s hard for him to confront her on his own, but he would not hesitate for a single second if Motti willingly ran into his arms for it. Whatever is the cause of her pain, Passive will remind her how wonderful she is and how he couldn’t bear to be without her.
Killer:
Wouldn’t hesitate to stab a bitch for Motti. Who made her cry? Who the fuck would make his lovely lady even shed tears that weren’t from pleasure??? Not inherently the best at comforting but he would romance the hell out of Motti until his obnoxiousness replaced her melancholy with annoyance. He likes when Motti fusses and pushes him away because he’s being cringy with his romantic soliloquy.
Dust:
His very stoic presence causes Motti to be too nervous to cry. But he would pat her head and ruffle her hair.
Horror:
He’s not the kindest when it comes to comforting, but he’ll regret any immediate change that causes Motti to turn her whole body from him. With ease, he’ll pick her up and throw her on his chest. He grumbles that he doesn’t know what she’s blubbering about or why she would even worry about trivial things. Horror uses his asshole remarks to trick Motti into forgetting what made her cry in the first place. He even continues to tease her about how stuffy she sounds. The weight of his arms alone feel like a weighted blanket and he would keep Motti pressed to his chest until her “fit” is over.

‼️NIGHTBRINGER LESSON 34 SPOILERS‼️
masterlist | all lessons | season 2 | lesson 33 | lesson 35
i might be getting ahead of myself here, but are we lilith ?? like is that what's happening rn ??? he's not saying mc's name, and raphael doesn't day their name in the next scene...if so then that's actually really fucking sad 💀
it makes sense though, belphie not wanting mc to go into his head bc he's still clinging to the past and doesn't want to lose them forever like he lost his little sister forever, especially since human life is so finite compared to that of a demon or an angel or a reaper
also it's obvious by his choice of words that despite him looking older, belphie is very, very young in his mindscape, just like mammon was. i feel like this also shows how close mams and belphie are even if it's not shown much on screen in the game, or at least how much belphie takes after mammon's, if not all of his older brothers traits, for better or worse
well nvm...i still think my theory is valid though. belphie wants to go back to his old life and end up not losing lilith, but still have mc with him
i wonder how similar mammon and belphie's bond in the celestial realm is to their bond in the devildom. is belphie still as reluctant to ask for help and advice openly? is the banter still the same? are there less insults? how does the age gap here cause them to treat each other differently if at all? or the lack of angelic status?
oh i'm gonna cry
big brother mammon will always have my heart and i need more of him
we know belphie's love of stars and constellations and the night sky in general started when he was in the celestial realm, and seeing it manifest in mammon in his mindscape makes my heart happy, even if mammon isn't the reason he became interested in astronomy (was it michael? lucifer? idk i don't remember)
i also think it's very interesting how belphie's brain is actively working against him "wanting to hide from mc". he literally said "i don't want you to see the inside of my mind" and is hiding away from them. i think, in reality and in his mindscape, he's running from the fact that he has to face his feelings about the idea of mc leaving to go to the "human realm" and the possibility of losing them forever like he lost lilith
this was (obviously) not beel speaking, but his inner thoughts in the shape and voice of beel. circling back to belphie having the best and worst traits of his brothers, his insecurity and need for reassurance rivals levi's, and we don't get to see it as blatantly because he masks it way better than levi does
ok so we're here in the timeline...interesting. how much time passed between luci and dia's first meeting and the celestial war? how much time had passed between the celestial war and mc's initial arrival to the devildom? how much had belphie aged?
angels and demons age different than humans do, and belphie doesn't feel any older than like...10 or 11 at the most, but beel seems older than that. maybe its his mind warping things to make himself seem and feel younger, but maybe he really was that young. was lilith even born at this point? how old was belphie during the time of the war ?????
also i'm mad we didn't get to see michael bc i wanna know what he looks like but oh well 🧍🏾
oh baby :((((
i'm not the biggest belphie fan AT ALL, at least canon belphie, but i think it's necessary to acknowledge how his trauma severely affects the way he acts. he went from blaming himself, to blaming an entire race of people for his sister's death. he feels like he should've been the one to die, even if it meant leaving his twin without him
now, if he got a proper redemption arc after lesson 16, THEN we could talk. i think the devs fumbled his character in that regard, but my hcs about his redemption will have to suffice for now
he didn't want mc to see this dark part of himself because he hates that he still has this mindset, that he's trapped in a cycle of "what ifs" and wishing it were him instead of her, constantly ruminating and letting his anger and grief fester without ever dealing with it properly and letting himself heal. he not only thinks he doesn't deserve to heal, but that he doesn't deserve to live long enough to see himself heal, that he doesnt deserve to live at all
WHY ARE YOU BEING DIFFICULT????
i mean i knew this would happen since its only lesson 34 and there's still 6 more to go...but damn
i love and hate the fact that he's so smart. like, they could easily just ask barbatos to send them back to the human realm if it was that serious. he's clearly taken a liking to them. lucifer knows something's up, and he won't forge a pact with them until he gets to the bottom of whatever's going on
initially, i thought it was a spell to bring them back since he'd been the one facilitating the trips into the brothers' mindscapes this whole time, but this is wayyy more interesting
i feel like the barbatoses communicate across timelines, or that their lives intermingle with each others' somehow, so whatever they feel for one person in a specific timeline is felt for ever version of them in every timeline. we know barbatos, at the very least, knows that kayden is an important person in the grand scheme of things, whether it be because of the way diavolo feels about them or because they play a large part in the obey me version of a canon event
if it's more than base level importance, we can assume that there's a level of trust and love that barbatos feels for mc that stretches across time (callback to the login screen's dialogue)
maybe he gave us the piece of the grimoire for a reason outside of belphie's mindscape escapades. what if this is how we gain lucifer's trust? if a demon as powerful as barbatos can give mc a piece of his grimoire, then he should be able to make a pact with them, seeing as they're trustworthy enough to be in cahoots with THE time demon
anyways barbatos is nightbringer and you can't tell me otherwise. unless you think it's michael. then i might hear you out...i'm stuck between thinking either of them is the titular character simply because of the simultaneous lack and abundabce of emphasis on michael's importance

I had similar thoughts myself, but didn’t dig into this aspect as I was late to the game(s) and have never played the original endings (thanks for bringing it up!).
I do however still think the original endings had the flaw of working against the core themes of the games, and without the extended cut which confirms all three as equal it really, really feels as though you're 'supposed' to pick destroy, as that is the only one not actively and loudly argued against throughout the entire trilogy. If they are really supposed to be equal in terms of right and wrong having only one that doesn’t feel like giving up and resorting to the enemy's tactics (without ever digging into the consequences of this) is such an odd choice. Again, it’s no wonder people resorted to the indoctrination theory.
So I do think the endings were kind of bad even originally and could’ve been tweaked in an extended cut to be 'fixed' (there's further discussion of this in the replies of this post!), but only if said extended cut weren’t, as you said, made with different intents. They should’ve just committed harder and polished things up instead of trying to placate players by compromizing their own themes.
I know I'm about a decade late but I've been replaying the Mass Effect trilogy for the first time since I was a teenager and I'm going absolutely bonkers trying to figure out if the endings are actively and stupidly working against the core themes of all three games, or if they actually thematically work but in the bleakest way imaginable.
All three endings are the embodiment of what we've been fighting literally from the start. In ME1 Saren thinks the Reapers cannot be defeated and so strives for Synthesis, thinking it will save us but not realizing he's already been indoctrinated and has basically willingly turned himself into a husk by the end. In ME2 & 3 the Illusive Man thinks destroying the Reapers would be a waste and that we should instead control both their technology and them as a species, ignoring that this is not only a heinous thing to do but also incredibly arrogant, seeing as anyone poking at Reaper technology gets indoctrinated. Both Synthesis and Control are actively argued against by the very narrative. That in combination with Destroy being the only ending in which Shepard survives, it’s no wonder many fans seem to consider it the only "true" ending (and it’s also not very surprising the indoctrination theory got so popular).
But Destroy comes with its own issues. Aside from the ethical implications of only being able to win by committing genocide against your own allies (synthetics in general, geth and EDI in particular), like with the other two it seems to be actively argued against throughout the narrative.
You are the strongest at the end by striving for cooperation throughout the games, showing time and again that destruction isn't necessary. You save the krogan from extinction, stop the geth and the quarians from wiping each other out. From Javik we find out that the strength of this cycle compared to his is the diversity and cooperation between alien species; from the Leviathan DLC as well as the history of the geth and of EDI we find that synthetics are only violent by mirroring their creators, and can be peaceful just as much as organics. And yet here is an ending arguing for completely wiping out all synthetics.
Assuming the writers were not actually trying to work against their own themes, this makes all three endings incredibly bleak. With the constant emphasis on making hard choices throughout the trilogy, is the point that there is no way to achieve a truly "good" ending? That you'll have to compromize your morals or your allies or both to stop extinction? That Saren or the Illusive Man's solutions could have worked had they not been corrupted, similarly to how synthetic implants (a step toward synthesis) did not automatically corrupt Shepard (with Kai Leng as a foil of cybernetic implants instead leading to indoctrination), or reaper code upgrades didn’t automatically corrupt EDI or the geth?
But if so, why are all endings presented as... happy? Why is Synthesis lifted as the epitome of evolution and peace while never touching the sacrifice of agency in the name of survival? Why does Control lift the "power in control" and "wisdom of harnessing the strength of your enemy" while ignoring the ethical implications of basically indoctrinating and enslaving the reapers in turn? Why does neither of these endings lift the risk of them turning sour the way they did for Saren and the Illusive Man? Why does Destory lift victory and rebuilding while ignoring the literal genocide that took place to allow for it? None of these are presented as bittersweet endings in which morals had to be sacrificed in the name of survival and a better future, but they also work against the themes in such an obvious way that I refuse to believe the writers didn’t notice. There must be more to it.
#sorry for late reply this has been sitting in my replies for ages lmao#but tl;dr yes i fully agree that the original endings and and the extended cuts feel like they are done with wholly different intents#and that this was Bad#but I do still think the originals as they were needed to be fixed and felt disconnected from the trilogy as a whole#they should’ve explored the idea of using saren's and the illusive man's ideas earlier if they wanted to end with them as#actually valid options and not just a path to indoctrination and death#maybe this could’ve been done through edi and the geth? as they both had reaper code but weren’t automatically indoctrinated by it#or through shepard and their many implants (i forget if they were reaper based or not. i think they were?)#there are instances of reaper tech being used for good but they get so little fanfare compared to them being used for/causing evil#giving in to them at the end feels disconnected#and not bittersweet so much as. well. being indoctrinated#nella talks#mass effect

"Your ability doesn't matter, that sorrow has value."
I adore specifically this page in bsd, probably one of my favourites, I just have to talk about it.
Ranpo's words were the understanding and kind of validation Yosano seeked in face of her trauma, her lack of direction in life and her belief in not only her inhumanity but her existence as nothing beyond a tool of war stemming from her ability, but also the vessel of pain.
"Angel of Death", if you will.
The suppressed emotions and anguish that came with her believing she "did not deserve" and Ranpo's understanding. Ranpo assuring her that she had the right to feel emotions and had the right to express herself, to exist beyond the confines of what she had came to believe her purpose had lied in after the war. The blood on her hands, the hatred that shifted her from an innocent child that wanted to help those in need, into a self loathing child stripped of her identity and humanity due to war.
The soldiers, that had gone from adoring her for being their savior, depending on her, into a burning hatred for their inability to die, to witness death up close so many times, to fight a losing war repeatedly without the ability to truly die.
That change made yosano realize that her ability was a curse, a curse that brought nothing but despair to the soldiers, despite how "living" had always been considered a blessing. Her original intention, born out of good will had become nothing but the carrier of pain for those whom she touched and healed.
Tachihara's brother's suicide was the final nail to the coffin. Although being the one who treated Yosano with kindness, giving her the hairclip but also the "angel", to ignite her will further by counting how "righteous" she was depending on the amount of times she had healed him, he ended up giving into the horrors.
"You are too right" he said,
leaving an etched platter, of Yosano's "righteousness". The human heart was faint, and he, who longed to go back to his own family, had given in, knowing the war was only a never ending torturer as long as Yosano was there. The suicide further stabilized Yosano's self loathing beliefs, "Angel of Death" he said, her ability both a blessing and a curse to those whom she had healed. the saviour as well as the grim reaper that both gave and took generously. It was her ability and precense that ripped away the value of living, her ability that continued to be a tormenter of the many soldiers who had come close to experiencing death but not being able to achieve so. Yosano had realized, and in the process had her "humanity" stripped away from her.
Even after the war, with Yosano being locked away, then released to witness the seperation of zskk. zskk had seperated, by on one hand, a mafia boss that would do anything to protect the city, no matter how immoral, to a past samurai that would create an organization in the day, while also harboring the peace of Yokohama collectively. Fukuzawa understood the toll war had taken on Yosano, hence called Mori heartless for wishing to take her back under his wing again, the two fought, and Yosano had watched silently.
Yet Ranpo saw her, and had wheeled her away from the battlefield.
"Your ability doesn't matter, your sorrow has value" was SUCH an important and chilling line while I read, and definitely to Yosano as well.
She is offered a place where she is able to freely express herself without the burden and fear of constantly abusing her ability and in the process "cheapening the value of life around her" despite her want to simply "save others", it was her kindness that was manipulated yet still remained in her heart, a kindness that tore her up from the insides, seeing her dream torn to shreds before her very own eyes, as those she saved became highly dependent on her, growing careless, or growing haunted by the touch of the Angel of Death. It was what caused her to believe she had no right to live, as she had cheapened the lives of others, as she was only a bringer of misfortune and pain, despite her young age. It was her powerful ability, and kindness that left her afraid and hurting to use her ability again. Yet, the words Ranpo told her, was a reassurance that there is a place where she could belong, where her kindness is a priority rather than her ability, a chance to "live" the life she couldn't, and break free from the fear that gnawed at her that built up progressively throughout the war. Allowing her a chance to start anew, the chance to express herself freely, to love and feel freely, to restore the empty hole within her, that longed believed she had no reason to live or exist as someone who was "inhumane". A newfound direction that shone light on her.
And it all leads back to one thing, healing. While BSD also shines light on the traumas of war, it is commendable for its realistic portrayal and writing of mental issues, Yosano proves to be wonderful portrayal of PTSD. The entirety of BSD, is also about healing and growth, to learn to accept your trauma as a part of yourself, to learn to live and grow from it and become a better version of yourself. See Atsushi as an example, an ability borne from the sole desperation of a child protecting himself from an environment, an ability that took form of a beast as a defensive mechanism, eventually learning to accept byakko instead of only staring down at it with hatred, remaining stuck in one place (see Dead Apple) and learning to come to peace with it.
See Akutagawa, who had slowly learnt to break free from his abusive past, to find a new meaning in life and protect those who he learnt to cherish, to rid himself of the coat as a means to leave himself vulnerable, if only to protect another. Rashoumon who originally was an ability that was all bite, offensive, despite its origin being the fabric that protects the human body from sight. All BSD characters fall under the cycle of the remnants and trauma of war, creating a far more extensive chain of self destruction and abuse. The abuse cycle that we speak of is not only limited to the ones we know now, but an entire web where its source came from the cruelty of war. See Fukuchi who had been so determined to avoid another war, for humanity to reach peace after he had witnessed the horrors of it himself and survived, which led to him creating a lie, to antagonize himself if only it meant to reach his goal, but falling prey to Dostoevsky's absurd lies, and losing not only his identity, but his ultimate goal in the process. A tragic tale, but realistic beliefs told in a fictional world.
One would have to shoulder the burden of their trauma, but to learn to cope with it was another story. I believe Yosano's butterfly hairclip holds similar symbolism, in terms of her trauma and how she came to terms with it.
The truth would be, she hadn't, and she hadn't learnt to truly forgive herself for her "sins" in the past, the blood on her hands that followed her forever, but to receive the hairclip on that fateful day again, was proof that Yosano wasn't to avoid it any longer, but rather carry it with her as a symbolism of grief, memories, her trauma, but also the fresh beginning where she would learn to grow out of her trauma from. A piece of memory from the soldier who had fallen but generously gifted her the hairclip during war.
It is to say that although some memories may haunt us for life, as trauma does at times, we were to carry it with us and move on. Yosano who didn't believe she earned the right to live for such, was told and relieved of the fact that it was her kindness that brought her pain, that someone, even like her, was deserving of another chance in life rather than throwing it away. As she grew, she still had thsi remnant of memory stuck to her, but she is trying, she is learning, and she is breathing, and isn't that more than enough?
A final note would be, I truly do adore Yosano, and many other characters in BSD, heavily underrated despite their well written characters. Although BSD is a fictional series, I can't help but appreciate how it's not afraid to touch on more realistic and darker topics, while mixing it with a hint of lighthearted humor and literary references inbetween, a fine masterpiece.
Thank you for reading thus far.

om fell off so hard im actually pissed.
ending spoilers.
like urgggghhhhh im soo EVERYTHING.
okay, DISREGARD MY PREVIOUS POSTS. now i just want to say what my thoughts are. MORE THOUGHTS or probably the same idc im dying here.
the ending for chapter 60 was disappointing as fuck. there was no way they're just ending it LIKE THAT. they have built up the story just so it to be trashed aside. no nobody gets a happy ending except for you and the BROTHER YOU CHOOSE, WHAT. i do get that the game was supposed to be just the brothers and the mc. like the main focus has always been the seven brothers. but the fandoms demanded more, might as well commit to it? (idw to put any blame on anyone. fandoms can be really fucking annoying when it comes to wanting more shit)
im just so upset that they have so much to do with each characters story, and they just "nevermind, lets move on". like, wtf do you mean simeon stays as a human. (honestly valid, there's no way he could be back as an angel cause he literally committed the biggest sin out there). what do you mean we never expand more on the reaper species? what do you mean we dont get to know if diavolo ever achieve his dreams to unite all three realms? what do you mean we never get to know barbatos's backstory or how he's so dedicated to diavolo? what TF DO YOU MEAN WE NEVER GET TO SEE MICHAEL'S FACE.
and just most importantly for me, i want to know more on the past of the brothers when they were angels. i know it might not be relevant to the story, but i need it so fucking bad. like how was lilith like? how was everyone's relationship like? how things works there? i have so much questions.
—
okay, moving on.
just like i said previously, I've read the notice for like a thousandth time. i know they won't shut down the game and stuff.
and i know that they are continuing with a new era of obey me content through other events and media that are not in the games. i just fucking hope with those medias, they really expand more on the story. there are so much unresolved/unsaid stories in obey me that the fans wants to know. AND IM ONE OF THEMMM. please please PLEASE im hoping, im PRAYINGG .
guys if they only continue with just throwing out merch and shit, im lowkey crashing tf out. have a nice day.
god truly, i love this game ever since it came out. i played this game ever since it came out. this game was my heart and soul. and to see it ending like that really breaks my heart. lord. im in pain.

With these new Reaper voice lines, specifically the ones with Mei and Sojourn, seriously hope we get a deeper look at why Reyes joined Talon, cause I highly doubt it was the reason CoV stated (please retcon that short story, I beg you writers). I do think that it was part of it, that Gabe's conversation with Doomfist was a big part on why Reyes joined, but it cannot be the only reason.
The new voice lines show that Reaper does care to an extent about certain Overwatch members, his interaction with Sojourn showing a level of care that no other characters have been shown, even if it's bare minimum, and his interaction with Mei being somewhat of a warning to her rather then his usual bitter threats (at least that's how I read it). It shows a more complicated reasoning then what we have been shown in the past.
Honestly I would love it if it was revealed that during that year away from Talon Reyes actually decided to check up on what became of Overwatch, what became of the members he was close to. Him being furious to see how the world and other parts of Overwatch treated members after the explosion, Cassidy being forced back into a life of crime, Angela being prevented from helping people because of her connection to Overwatch, him and Gerard being villainized by the UN and public despite them doing so much good, despite Blackwatch being a main reason Overwatch had the information it did.
Please, as much as I make fun of Reaper for being an idiot, he's not that stupid, there needs to more to his reasoning then just one conversation and a typical want for revenge for an event Overwatch didn't cause. Him feeling like all the sacrifices he made were for nothing, that Overwatch and the world threw it all away and forgot it, he sacrificed his body, his life, all for it to mean nothing. If he felt like that, if they showed that he felt like everything he did with Overwatch was for nothing, showed valid evidence as to why he thought that, then it would give Reaper the complexity that CoV failed to give him, and what his new voice lines are succeeding in giving him.

"Gale is worse than Snow", "Prim Reaper", "Gale didn't love Prim", "he was just trying to separate Katniss and Peeta bc he's a asshole"
okay, i'm gonna hold your hand while i say this:
Gale Hawthorne, as much as he was annoying, an idiot, and often acted like an asshole, was a literal fucking WAR CHILD.
he grew up only knowing that the Capitol and President Snow were the ones causing pain across Panem, and keeping the Games going even after it was stablished that they were no longer a punishment to the districts but a mere entertaining show. The only thing Gale knew was that he was angry and that his best friend was willing to die just so she could spare her sisters life. He was inspired by Katniss' actions, and tried his best to protect her family while she was out in the Games.
he loved her in a very VERY toxic and possesive way, that will always be something i will NEVER excuse, and he hurted a lot of people with his inability to put his emotions into words, but he was still going to support Katniss and the revels. Gale was ready to put all of himself so the rebellion would succeed, and Panem will finally be free.
he despised Peeta, yes, but it was because of simple and pathetic childish jealousy, not because Peeta ever did something to him. They even would get along if needed, and respected each others opinions and points while discussing important topics. They weren't each others favorite person, but they were mature enough to try and "get along". I mean, do we all remember that Gale went on a mission to RESCUE Peeta?
and, the biggest mistake Gale ever made was to drop those bombs. Or at least, help create them.
i believe it is never implied/said that Gale knew that Prim would be there. He new the paramedics would be, so they could attend people's wounds, but we don't know if he was aware of the fact that Primrose Everdeen, the girl he saw grow up, that he protected like she was his own little sister, the girl he took care of when her big sister went to the Hunger Games just so she could live and then came back, the girl who was sweet and took care of others in a motherly way nobody else in Twelve seemed to be, would be there.
As much as i hate and can't stand Gale, i will never, under ANY circumstances, believe that he would EVER be okay with "dropping" a bomb over Prim. He would "drop" it over Capitol children any day, (which i believe is so fucked up i can't even put my disbelief into words) but Primrose Everdeen would remain untouched.
or at least that's what i think he thought.
if you are thinking this is a Gale defending post, and that i am a Gale Hawthorne apologist, you are absolutely wrong.
never in my life you would catch me excusing and trying to mend a FICTIONAL character's actions, but i will try my best to explain them. I've seen some justified hatred towards Gale as a character because of his actions, but it's more the amount of hatred i've seen from people that think Gale is redouced to a annoying bitch who just wanted to get with Katniss and who didn't care about her.
a) that shows me the amount of media literacy you have (none).
and b) you are just hating on him for the sake of hating, not for VALID reasons.
hating Gale because of his toxic behavior, his problematic ways of dealing with tense situations, and how he acted with other people are VALID reasons, but hating him because he was mean to Peeta, wanted to get with Katniss and killed Prim "in purpous" is perhaps the stupidiest shit i've ever read. Stop watering down COMPLEX and MORALY GREY characters just because of their superficial mistakes/actions.
#the hunger games#gale hawthorne#AND PLEASE STOP SAYING THAT SNOW IS BETTER THAT GALE BC THAT MOTHERFUCKER CONTINUED WITH KILLING CHILDREN TEENS AND ADULTS BC OF HIS ASS#i can't stand Snow defenders/kins/fans they have shit instead of a fucking brain#I AM NOT A GALE DEFENDER/FAN#I JUST HATE THE UNJUSTIFIED HATE TOWARDS HIM#i mean u can hate whatever character u want (i hate Gale) but PLEASE SEEK A VALID REASON TO DO SO#“but he ruined everla-” THAT'S NOT A VALID REASON TIMMY#KEEP SEARCHING#i want to also thank the guy in the comments who helped realize i fucked up in some parts#thanks bud#frann rants abt stuff

I think I'm allergic to Synthesis ending hate.
Saw someone mention bodily autonomy as an argument against it. While this is a valid argument, it is also a valid argument against the other two endings.
The Synthesis ending violates the bodily autonomy of all living things, this is true. But the hugely important thing is that it doesn't KILL and doesn't override MENTAL autonomy.
The potential for change in bodily and mental function in the Synthesis ending is astronomical.
Potential self-modification of programming in formerly organic-only life. Potential for skin to skin contact LAN connections (Read a crazy fic with that)
It's really cool to think about. Despite the new opportunities also creating new struggles.
The thing about the bodily autonomy argument is that the other two endings violate the bodily autonomy of the Reapers and potentially all the husks. They might have the opportunity to be returned to either their old minds or to become a new person altogether.
Despite their evil, the Reapers are sapient and intelligent life. People forget that, and forget that the Synthesis ending also gives them potential to change. All synthetic life have been given greater potential for change.
Even if it causes new conflicts, I believe it's worth it.

with mousey and bad together on the server, there's been a lot of talking about her as satan (it's been clarified by mousey that all she remembers is that she's a demon from hell) and her as bad's boss, and i wanted to do a bit of a deep dive on bad's demon lore through both a "pop culture" view and a more traditional biblical view.
in pop culture we've had a lot of mixing up of demon lore in general, with the prevalent idea that demons are creations of hell, and not all of them necessarily fallen angels or previously heavenly beings — it's a perfectly valid analysis, but i'm firmly convinced that bad's character is not just any demon, but instead very much a powerful demon that was once an angel.
let's start with what we do know of q!bad's personal history and slot things into their proper place. we know he's around 11600 years old (making his "date of birth" somewhere around 9577 BC. we also know he arrived in this world (which in this case we have to assume is whichever dimension qsmp is held in) in 9600 BC which means he lived the majority of his life away from his home — he was barely 23 when he "moved".
we also know that he didn't come to this dimension willingly, that he was summoned and in that summoning he caused serious destruction — it's been made pretty apparent that the man sunk atlantis, and frankly there's still a question as to whether he did it on accident or not, or the reason why he keeps it hidden. according to bonnie the horse, he sent them a lot of "salty souls" once, and bonnie has also dubbed bad "death of the sea". it doesn't matter whether bad is hiding because what he did made him famous, or because he feels terrible — what matters here is that one singular demon was able to cause the destruction and sinking of a whole civilization singlehandedly. he was also able to do it at a pretty young age.
we also know that bad has eaten souls before (as well as anything he can get in his mouth, apparently), that he's got a way to avoid being summoned (as he told dapper he'd let him know later) and that for better or for worse, he's immortal. so, it's safe to say that bad is an extremely powerful being that cannot be killed by any means, and who has enough control over himself to not only hide his true nature but also contain himself to the highest degree.
speaking of death, bad's relationship with it is very interesting on a few levels. we know he's employed as a grim reaper (and that being a grim reaper is completely removed from his origins, it's just a job) and that to one degree or another, he's acknowledged mumza as the goddess of death as being canonical to him as well (yesterday tallulah spoke about death as a beautiful woman, and bad confirmed to chat she meant mumza).
but what is a grim reaper?
traditionally, grim reapers (or those who served their role) were nothing more than physical manifestations of death with the purpose of easing humans from one plane into the next. they're friendly and kind, and historically for the longest time (up until the middle ages and the plague) they were positive figures, reminiscent at many times of angels.
now, onto angels. angels biblically are far from the cherubic vision we see most often — they're whatever they're needed for. they can be kind-hearted messengers, but they're also warriors and if need be, and they can be incredibly dangerous to humans. why did some fall? simple enough, they sinned. there are passages in the bible regarding the fall of angels and they're described as losing the war in heaven, being cast down with "satan" (while satan and lucifer are not entirely interchangeable and they're often considered two different people, biblically today they're presumed to be the same so let's just roll with it for now) into hell. other passages speak of angels who sinned against god and who await judgement in hell.
but what does any of this have to do with badboyhalo, you ask? well… more than it seems at first if you put it all together. on a basic level, bad wouldn't be considered your average demon — yes, he's full of mischief, has an odd moral compass, and can be incredibly violent, but he's also very kind, and very gentle, and very very loving. there are contradictions in his personality that could be discounted as meta… but the evidence continues to pile up. bad is full of angel iconography, from the actual halo in his name and in his preferred design, but his new build in his home is really beating us over the head with it — he build two statues that can only be described as holy warriors, dark and demon-y but with a golden halo and beautiful white wings.
then, there's "the chair". which is not a chair, it's very much a throne, but for whatever reason bad seems vehemently opposed to admitting that it is, in fact, a throne — it's huge, and full of dark and red blocks, fire… and behind it? huge angel wings. now, one could argue that they're bones, but there are details in the blocks that very clearly allude to feathers — the idea of white feathery wings is a direct parallel to angels, and i think it's very intentional.
who, then, is badboyhalo? i'd put my money on his personal lore being connected to the demonology idea of "the princes of hell" — angels who fell from the grace of god, and took up their kingdoms in hell. i'm fully convinced that bad is a prince of hell. now, which one? that's trickier, and not something we know enough to real pinpoint, especially when you consider that the identity of the princes of hell is pretty fluid — there's a lot of different texts who name different demons, so i'm choosing to simplify it until we get more information.
tl;dr - badboyhalo is not just any ol' demon, but a fallen angel — one of the "princes of hell".
a special thanks to @comradeboyhalo because this post was very handy!

New Years Eve 2024 Mod Updates
Writing this at 10 PM, 2 hours before 2025. However, I wanted to push out the mod updates that I have forgot to push out.
Was also too busy playing various games mainly Persona in general.
Anyways on with the updates:
Developer Access Panel [Dev Version 30]
This update adds the TTV option to the Reaper Active Career Lot.
Also fixed the missing STBLs in Version 29.
Download: [Patreon: Public]
================================================
Occult Hybrid Unlocker & Stabilizer [Version 1.10]
This "fix" took months to figure out, my previous ideas all failed (such as copying sim attributes & outfits), it mostly caused exceptions (command said not valid response).
Thankfully someone found out that by removing all occults less the occult to edit (found out that you need to remove occult trait, not use the Hybrid Mod's/OccultTracker Remove Occult command). Apparently this does not delete the secondary forms of the removed occults.
With this workaround found, the solution using this workaround uses a "memory/holdout" trait as memory for removed occults. (It's similar to TMS) Usage of this workaround solution are as below:
On selection on Occult to edit, the command will process all occults and remove all occults and give a "holdout/memory" trait except the occult to edit. This will apply to the whole household if 2 or more sims are in the household.
On editing in CAS, sims should either show up in one of two occults: Selected Occult or Human Occult
On exit CAS, select Restore Occult on Post CAS to restore the sim/household removed occults.

War eats the victors last aka Iron Gold thoughts
So apparently some people think that this is one of the weakest books?
lmao if that's the case then I'm FUCKED
because I liked this book a lot
Is it really because of the multiple POVs?
Apple is nuts
I found Darrow FASCINATING
Lysander is..........Lysander
I actually don't have much to say tbh
BUT
spoilers under the cut
lets gOOOOoooooo
Okay so I see so much interesting talk about this book. Some people love it, some hate it.
I really liked this book. For a few reasons.
1.) Darrow's POV was FASCINTING. He's actually suffering from the consequences of his decisions. He's running away from being a father. It's even mentioned by the Senate that he only know war. And if he's been fighting since he was 17 and he's 33 now...yeah. That's...valid. And Darrow has moments of reflection where he realizes it. He realizes he's not a good father, that he is away from his child and will possibly die for a cause just like his own father. He's almost stunted in how he is able to show and receive love.
ALSO!!! He's shown almost as a villain from everyone else's perspective. And I LOVE that. It's so different.
AND! I actually find a rift between Darrow and Sevro interesting. I almost WANT to see that. I know that's crazy and self harming XD but it's interesting!
2.) I actually like Ephraim's story. Volga was awesome. I was back and forth with liking this story because Ephraim is an asshole but he's also funny and knows what's right, which he does at the end.
3.) Apple was nuts. He's gunna be a problem. Mid fight when Apple hugs Darrow and is like "YOU CUT A PATH LIKE AN ANGEL FROM THE SKIES" and me and Darrow are like
4.) Victra is an icon. "Politics is such a bore without a little murder" lmaaaooo
Wasn't a huge fan of Lyria but I did like her love for Kavax. OR DANCER. LIKE WTF BRO YOU ARE THE ONE WHO RECRUITED DARROW FOR WAR AND NOW THAT HE'S WARRING (btw after he has a victory and claims Mercury) HE'S CALLED A WARMONGER. like ok
you literally engineer a living weapon and pushed him to make hard choices but DARROW is the problem ok ok ok COOL dawg
YO WHEN I THOUGHT KAVAX WAS KILLED I WAS SCREAMING
I was like "if u touch 1 single hair on Sophocles' head, I will never read another page of this series (lie)".
THAT ONE SCENE WHEN HE'S ABOUT TO BE DETAINED BITCH and a few Greys are like HAIL REAPER and he's able to escappeeee yesss bitccchhh
The ending scene with the Ash Lord was awesome. "War eats the victors last." Goosies bitch. I did see that he was "incapacitated" coming. I knew it. Not seen in 3 years???? ok he's either dead or the daugher Atlantia is in power. So I did see that coming. That conversation was still amazing, especially that he seemed to show no hate for Darrow. THEN HE WAS BURNED dope dope dope
I really don't have too many more thoughts, this felt like a set up for the next couple books
Which, the next book is called DARK AGE gr8
I'm starting it tonight so wish me luck
oh I will say that I didn't like that it felt that Virginia had like NO power at all
The Senate fucking SUCKS
they're assholes

Obey Me Flufftober Day 6
Prompt: Cry
Pairing: Beelzebub x reader (gender neutral)
Word count: 637
A/n: Guys, I promise this is a fluffy prompt! I know crying isn't usually considered fluff, but just hear me out! Also, this is based on a personal experience, so consider this a little self-indulgent on my part.
You consider yourself a strong individual. I mean, you deal with demons, angels, grim reapers, and an immortal on a daily basis, so, naturally, you had to be strong. However, you had one weakness, and one weakness only: sad animal videos.
No matter what, you just could not handle them. Every single time a video of an army vet reuniting with his dog or a family finding their long-lost cat finds its way onto your feed, you just start bawling. It's honestly very embarrassing. It also doesn't help that your anxiety prevents you from talking about it with anyone for fear of being called a crybaby.
Luckily, you wouldn't have to worry about that fear too much longer.
One day, you were scrolling through Devilgram when you came across a sad puppy video. As expected, you could feel the tears welling up in your eyes. What was unexpected, however, was the quiet gasp you heard on the other side of the room. You turn to look in the direction of the noise, only to find Beelzebub standing awkwardly in the doorway. You see that he has a snack in hand, likely meant to be shared with you. You can also see that his gaze has quickly dropped to the floor, clearly embarrassed at walking in on you in such a vulnerable state.
The tears continue to fall from your face, but you hardly even notice, instead focusing on Beel. He genuinely looked so sorry for walking in on you, and that made your heart melt a little bit. You're not exactly sure what to do from here, but it seems that Beel has that part under control. His approach is slow, like he's tending to a wounded animal. Ironic, considering the cause of your tears. He places the snack down on your dresser before making his way to your bed, looking to you for permission.
When you give the slightest nod, he gently sits down on the edge and continues to look at you. Without saying anything, you fill in the remaining space, clinging to him as you finally let out your sobs. In that moment, you felt absolutely ridiculous, but you also felt absolutely loved. As you cried, Beel pat your head, careful not to put too much pressure. He didn't say a word, just sat there while you got your feelings out.
Eventually, your tears stopped, and you were left silently sniffling in his arms. Once he was sure you were calm, he attempted to ask what was wrong. Beel was never the best at verbal comfort, but this effort was more than enough. Despite your embarrassment, you divulged why you had been so upset. Again, Beel remained quiet. He was a very good listener, and for that you were thankful. As much as you loved the other brothers, none of them were as good as Beel when it came to simply needing someone to vent to.
As was expected, Beel did not judge you in the slightest. Instead, he validated your feelings, claiming he also gets sad when he sees those videos. You weren't even aware he watched videos like that, but it made so much sense now that you knew.
Beel released you for a moment, and you were concerned he was just going to leave you there. But you should've known better by now. Instead of leaving, he simply got up to retrieve the (almost) forgotten snack. After all, it was his original purpose for showing up. Apparently, it was a new snack he had just recently discovered, and he had been saving it all day so that he could try it with you.
Crying over sad animal videos certainly made you feel silly. But, as you sat on your bed, eating snacks with Beel, you couldn't help but feel at peace.

Replies
A couple of replies about the birthday boys, one reply about twst boys acting inappropriately towards a pumpkin, and a couple of replies about song lyrics.
Anonymous asked:
I wanna take a bite out of Jade's ass
Don’t give him an ouchie, Anon :C It’s his birthday!
Thank you, I’m glad it looks good <3
Anonymous asked:
Why am I kinda thirsting after Floyd and Jade in your latest art?
Hehe thank you~ I tried to make them sexy <3
But man those cards were tough to work with, so much sex appeal oozing from them, how could I ever compete…
Anonymous asked:
I know it's a little late for me to ask this but which of the TWST guys do you think would stick their dick in a pumpkin (like, to fuck it)
Anon, it’s never late for this kind of ask, and the pumpkin season isn’t over yet!
Normally I would write proper reasoning for each and every one of them, but this time I figured it’d be funnier if I left everything up to your imagination. Well, I did add a tiny tidbit of context for them, but…
Alright, here is the wall of shame:
Ace (didn’t really think this through), Deuce (lost a bet), Floyd (just felt like it), Jade (now this pumpkin has a hidden surprise <3), Rook (the pumpkin looked very inviting), Lilia (why the hell not?) and Sebek (he was just trying to cover himself… but managed to get stuck somehow).
Shameful!
Anonymous asked:
Not Ciel absolutely OWNING Unsweetened Lemonade.
*I fucked the reaper cause I knew
My time had come why can't you see
I didn't die at 12
I guess I'm here till 93*
Ciel literally didn't die at twelve. He LITERALLY didn't die at twelve and has probably fucked with Sebastian, the person who's gonna "reap" his soul! IT'S PERFECT!
Anonymous asked:
I would like to contradict the anon who said Unsweetened Lemonade is made for SebaCiel.
The lyrics "Enemies to lovers but you'll
Never own my heart
One sided it's pathetic
How you think you're being smart
Worthless parents make stupid kids
The apple never strays
Your conscience never compromised
And ego never pays" Might not really apply to SebaCiel. I could be wrong, though, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, Ryu. I'd love to hear your opinion on this.
I’m posting both of these asks together because it’s kind of funny how different your interpretations are! Both are absolutely valid of course, so I’m not trying to pit you against each other.
SebaCiel was my first association because of the lines that the first Anon mentioned, it just sounded extremely specific and fit them quite a bit. But the part that the second Anon sent doesn’t really suit them that much, that’s true. Even if there are characters that would fit this song 100%, I can’t think of any, so I don’t really have a deeper opinion about it. 🤔 I’m not very good at those…
I feel like this is how things always are with song associations: a lot of times it’s just one specific part that works perfectly, and sometimes the entire song is good but a couple of lines make it not perfectly fit the characters anymore.
Like I said, there are some elements of Lilia or Malleus I can see there, but nothing more than that – just elements.

Gonna do obscure n random hcs-
Dream has a soft spot for twins. He sees twins an gets nostalgic n sad/ most people portray ink as evil-soulless guy thats lying but i think he'd mostly be happy and having fun with life/I personally cannot see ink or classic as anything BUT aroace. I physically cannot. / when people touch error they lose their lineart and it feels soo weird. Kinda like when a hand falls asleep. / most afterdeath kids dont have the death touch, but a few like greape, anubis, or ancolie do/ nightmare isnt the nightmare dream grew up with. Hes literally a different person- a sorta parasite that took over passives body through the apples/ to go along with that last one nm and fresh resent each other. Fresh has fun with it, but nightmare hates his entire being and sees him a threat./ error is soo silly. Literally just having fun with himself until someone comes along n messes it up by having opinions or existing.
first I will say I love these headcanons/opinions these are great !!!! spinning these around in my brain. now for if they match up with my own B) all interpretations are valid interpretations Dream and twins: I've actually been thinking about something similar lately!! In my mind, its almost a trigger for him? If he sees two identical twins it Will make him think about his past, if not just make him feel..... sad. feel as if he's missing something. Ink isn't evil?: I 100% AGREE. you. you understand him. he's just a silly guy living his life. i personally like putting him in situations that reveal his morality (which, to others in the multiverse, appears grey. in short, he's a character who has the morality of a creator. there's more to it. but, hes interesting! he's interesting). I like exploring all angles of him and his views and morality and character and bwghkrgbirhwbg but really hes just a guy. just a guy having a good time yknow. or trying. AroAce Ink & Sans Classic: I pretty much fully agree with this, just with the change that I can't see them as being anything but on the aroace spectrum. I see Sans as biromantic asexual, bi aroace, or aroace. Ink is the one who I often just see as aroace, and really more often just see him as just that. Error's touch causing loss of lineart: I haven't ever thought of this before but I LOVE IT SM. will be thinking of this.... I also like the idea of physical touch not just hurting Error but affecting whoever touched them.
AfterDeath kids and Death's Touch: I actually don't know a lot about AfterDeath ship kids! So, I haven't really thought much about them. I do think that any kids of reaper and geno would have something weird around death though, maybe not death touch but something similar. Nightmare isn't Nightmare?: I actually really don't like Nightmare and passive not being the same person. Personally, I feel like there is a way you could rewrite Dreamtale to make it work better, but it would have to be a significant rewrite (which people do and I love it when they do). It just feels like... something often gets lost with Nightmare's story when he isn't the same person, at least in some way. I personally like the idea that Nightmare himself doesn't see himself as passive. He sees himself as having killed that part of him, or something like that. Or, I can see Nightmare having dissociated away from that part of himself. Or, I can see Nightmare being like "yeah I'm nightmare I'm the nightmare you knew, Dream. this is what you've done, this is what you've made". In any case, they are the same person in at least some way to me. Nightmare and Fresh resent each other: This is really cool with the idea of both Nightmare and Fresh being parasites. It's not a headcanon I have, since I don't see Nightmare that way. I think Nightmare is just kinda mildly annoyed by Fresh- Fresh thinks Nightmare is fun to mess with. Nm rarely ever destorys aus (because he needs aus to feed on) so Fresh doesn't see him as a threat. Error is silly: YES. well. ok. sometimes. Error takes his job seriously..... sometimes..... like cq has said Error is contradictory he doesn't make sense he's not supposed to make sense. I think sometimes Error's silly with it sometimes he's not. overall he is just a silly guy though !!
#ask#i love hearing other peoples hcs sm#i love hearing diff interpretations#my askbox and dms are always open for dicussions on headcanons#also i need to look up those afterdeath kids

Mass Effect 3 replay, part four of Leviathan:
Dr. Bryson’s Lab
-Why is Ann permitted to be on her own when they know she’s indoctrinated?
Leviathan could take control of her and force her to destroy the entire lab! Or herself!
Yes, so far it’s only occurred when an artifact is present, but they don’t know an artifact's required. It may just take more effort without one.
-Ann is yet another character with daddy issues. Does anyone in this series have a good relationship with their father?
-How did the Reapers validate years of Dr. Bryson’s work? Did he have a reason to suspect they existed?
-I still think having a piece of a Reaper in the middle of the Citadel is a very bad idea. It’s too dangerous for such a public location.
And I still want to know how they know the shielding works.
Saren had an entire lab devoted to studying indoctrination in an attempt to protect himself, but Dr. Bryson found a method in just a few years?
And if it works for the piece of the Reaper, why can’t it be expanded to protect organics? Why can’t it be used to safely research the destroyed Reapers on Tuchanka and Rannoch?
-Hmm. I suppose if Garneau knew how the shielding around the piece of the Reaper worked he could have developed something similar for the artifact. That justifies why he could develop shielding for it so quickly.
It also explains why Ann was so confident that the artifacts could be shielded.
-On a similar note, why is the husk head out in the open? And why isn’t it shielded?
The base game emphasizes that any contact with Reapers results in indoctrination. Alive, dead, their technology…
Leviathan is far more casual about it.
-Why are Shepard and James near the artifact when the shield is dropped?
It risks them becoming indoctrinated.
It’d be far safer to have Edi turn the shield on/off.
-The subtitles switch to Leviathan again when they speak through Ann.
-James can be ruthless when necessary, but he’s more paragon aligned. He’s pretty angry at Shepard for the danger they put Ann in if they go renegade.
-If you go paragon, Shepard and Ann both refer to Leviathan as “it”.
I think that time Shepard used “he” must have been an exception.
Despoina
-I suppose we can assume the crashed ships are recentish, since the M-55 Argus 1 you can find on the ship is a current weapon.
At least that explains why Shepard can read the datapads.
-The datapads tell a rather harrowing story.
Notably, the skeletons are in the various tents.
The Leviathans caused them to just lie down and wait for death… Terrifying.
At least the Leviathans made them not feel hungry.
-According to the datapads, there aren’t any fish.
So what are the Leviathans eating?
-Why does a deep diving mech have the same weapons capabilities as as a Cerberus Atlas?
I think this is gameplay convenience. In game, it probably has tools that can be used as weapons if needed.
-Well, Shepard’s undeniably indoctrinated in the Leviathan DLC. By the Leviathan, but still indoctrinated.
Maybe that prevents or Reaper indoctrination?
-Why is it still treated as a given that the Leviathans are the ones that killed the Leviathan of Dis?
When was this proven?
I suppose we’re supposed to assume Dr. Bryson proved it offscreen and that’s what led him to the artifacts.
I had assumed he stumbled over the artifacts in his search, but that the two were not directly related. Or that researchers indoctrinated by the Leviathans created the weapon that took the Reaper out.
I still feel Shepard is making a leap here.
-Do the Leviathans remind anyone else of the turians?
“Lesser races”, thrall races = client species, the lesser races are cared for…
-Leviathan: “Tribute does not flow from a dead race.”
I think we all know the Leviathans real concern with the “lesser species” being exterminated by their machines.
-How did the star child destroy the Leviathans, anyway?
The first Reaper was created from the Leviathans, so it’s not like it was superior firepower and more advanced technology like it would in future cycles.
Yes, it built pawns to perform the research it needed to perform the task the Leviathans gave it. But how did these pawns have enough strength to take out the Leviathans?
I will assume the star-child somehow also seized control of the Leviathan’s existing infrastructure and turned it against them.
-Even billions of years later, the Leviathans can’t own that they fucked up.
The star-child wasn’t a mistake. It’s still serving its purpose!
So the part where it turned against the Leviathans and destroyed them is what, a minor flaw?
-If I understand correctly, in the early cycles the Leviathans took thralls. When the Reapers came they used the thralls to destroy any evidence the Leviathans existed.
So the paintings may come from that period.
Later they switched to using the artifacts to observe and direct without leaving their safe places.
-They refer to the artifacts as fragments.
Fragments of what?
-We all agree that the Leviathans exist on other worlds, right?
They’re just not telling Shepard that for security.
-Shepard should have the bends from returning to the surface so fast.
Let’s attribute their lack the Leviathans.
-Leviathan: “Today, they pay their tribute in blood”.
A very badass line.
-The Leviathans can override Reaper indoctrination. Still no evidence if the vice versa is true or not.
-Ironically, the star-child turning organics into Reapers might have helped lead to their downfall.
The Leviathans presumably could not take control of whatever machines the star-child used to wipe them out.
They can take control of Reapers.
-After meeting Leviathan, Shepard still refers to Leviathan as “it”.
-Ann’s indoctrinated. Isn’t having her work on the Crucible risky? It gives the Leviathan a direct line to it.
-The Reapers know the Leviathans are on Despoina. Why don’t they just chuck an asteroid at it to eliminate them? They could do that without getting into indoctrination range.
The Leviathans would not be able to indoctrinate a chunk of rock. Even if they have defense systems in place, if the Reapers threw enough asteroids at once I doubt the Leviathans could stop them all.
