honk (“honk!”) if you’re hungry for chaos! come on, “honk! honk!” like a horrible goose!

for the second week of @/shepscapades 's hermitcraft character design event, i offer grian as a chaotic goose!

so originally my concept was actually grian as the lamb from cult of the lamb, but then memories of the untitled goose game descended upon me like visions from an angry god, so i couldnt not do grian as The Goose. it fits, really, since the whole point of the goose game is to spread unmitigated chaos, and grian thrives on chaos and unpredictability

for notes on character design,, i actually didnt know what to do at first? like, ok, grian as the goose, but do i just draw a goose? make grian into a goose hybrid and thatse it? i actually really debated letting him keep his red jumper cause while its a big indicator of Grian its also,, really out of place for goose if that makes sense. my next pass at designs was arguably worse since it was more or less just a naked harpy with no resemblance to grian OR the goose game.

i actually ended up taking inspiration from one of my ocs (lycomedes my beloved boy i will one day post you) and gave grian this. mask-not-mask? if you look at the art there isnt actually a line separating mask from skin so that implies its less a mask and more His Face and that fit more than actually giving him a beak or just a plain human esque face so i kept it and it looks great! i also gave him arms instead of a more harpy esque No Hands look because Despite My Best Efforts it did not look good :(

to keep him looking like grian i gave him the hair i started doing specifically for grian and also little red highlights here and there (notable places include the eyes because Slay and the nails because Slay (im only half joking here)) but other than that i kind of did nothing else and am shocked at how much silhouette actually matters?? like it registers to me as grian despite yknow looking nothing like his actual minecraft skin so. win!! hell yeah!!!

little details include the bell i spent way too much time on, the sign that im far too proud of (its so good!!) and of course, the crowning piece, the Untitled Grian Game logo (and grian face) (its so funny to me i keep laughing whenever i look into those soulless minecraft eyes) (its so good!!!!!)

3rd life : this is the starting point i went off for all of them obv :3 though i chose this type of hand holding in particular because it's close, it shows how clingy they are to eachother and how they want to hold onto eachother, keep eachother safe! the bracelets are representative of eachother,, grians is of pizza's blanket. thing as scar was usually the one who primarily cared for the llama rather than grian, whilst scar has the pizza tribute banner design as grian made that banner for scar! another thing to note is that grian has alot of freckles, because he's in the desert with alot of sun and can't really wear his sweater!

last life : pinky holding!!!!! i chose that for last life since quite alot of grian and scar's interactions in this season had to do with deals and things like that, so i had the idea of 'pinky promises' in mind for that :) their bracelets are a little bit dirty due to them being in. a death game of course, and scars has some ash atthe bottom of his due to his death in lava! and originally i had intended to show that grian had less freckles in this one, and i even drew it out, and then proceeded to remember that my last life grian design has gloves bjfjvt i also managed to forget the wrist hearts for this one, whoops!

double life : i chose this type of hand holding because it looks as if grian is pulling scar away from something, which is something i imagine he had to do alot during this season! their bracelets have become much more tattered since, again, death games and just general wear and tear on hermitcraft aswell. on the tips of their fingers they have a slight purplish hue to them, and also some snow at the tips of scars fingers to show that scar was in powdered snow! (this was kind of inspired by this piece from applestruda, which i looove muah muah)

limited life : admittedly i was SUPER sick while i did this one so theres not really alot of secret little details :( but i chose this sort of hand holding bc it looks kind of secretive! like someone holding hands under a table to hide their relationship or something, bc i sort of love the 'secret teen movie relationship' vibes some people have with lim life scarian!! their bracelets have gotten alot more tattered, being basically one row of the bracelet now showing its age and such

secret life : i chose this hand holding because i personally view the secret life time as the sort of turning point in their relationship, where they've finally gotten over how co dependant they were in 3rd life and have finally accepted that it happened! i mean, grian asked scar to alliance with him, which is something in previous seasons which he has shown he didnt want to do (even if scar had to turn him down cause of his task), they also aren't clinging to eachother like they usually are - in all other seasons they tend to hang around eachother, even if they're not allied, whilst in this one they've left themselves ally and focus on other people, nd i view this on them being more stable in their relationship - the hand holding pose i chose seems somewhat loose, like they're willing to let go, they're not clinging onto eachother like in 3rd life

ok onto the bracelets fkhjhfjbf they still have the thread from their old bracelet but they've added onto them! this symbolises how they've accepted the events of 3rd life, and that they still need to carry on with life regardless of it! i picked out their main colours for this, grians has scars main colour of green and scar has grians main colour of red! they also have charms!!!! scar has a golden wing charm whilst grian has a silver cat charm :D

(another note : i chose those specific metals bc - whilst i didnt put the ring designs in the handholding art - they match what metals i have in my ring designs for them >:3)

tw // mental instability (specifically the type that comes with excessive time loops) , psychological horror / torture , existential horror , body horror , a really bad way to find you're not human , self-destruction , inaccurate watcher + listener lore , apocalypse, discussion of suicide + death + fate worse than death (including cannibalism , parasitism , insanity , war , canary curse , death games)

Song Inspiration: EGO OF THESEUS by Ferris

Word Inspiration: Ship of Theseus (a thought experiment about whether an object is the same object after having had all of its original components replaced)

Fanfiction Inspiration: attempt thirty-three (TLDR: Joe is stuck in a time loop that lasts four days. On the fourth, they die in the Moon Crash and get sent back with only a tape recorder surviving. The fic follows their thirty third time loop and how they get through it with Cub, Cleo, and Scar. It's not their last loop.), the only theory they can't prove (TLDR: Zedaph made a machine that creates alternate illusory timelines from the moment people use it. Unfortunately, they all ended in the apocalypse. Even more unfortunately, Joe finds a version— living and now existing —version of Cleo in theirs. They do the moral thing and bring her home.), and Red Tear Run Down Like A River (TLDR: The sculk parasites Cub and uses his scientistic nature to its advantage. Unfortunately for Joe, they're a fascinating specimen. Cue medical torture and subsequent rescue a little later than anyone wanted.)

Joe's been in a time loop that ends in Hermitcraft's annihilation one way or another for way too long.

They've seen Xisuma kill himself in Season 1, Mumbo (and the Convexes) cannibalize, the forest madness, the shulk/'Mother Spore' parasite Grian or any other unfortunate soul (like Cub), the wars, the death games, the Watchers, the Moon Crash, the texture glitch... (Cleo begging Joe to kill her because any other way would be agonizing echoes in their mind. There was a sea of Pearl's hands, sponge made of cow eyes and flesh. Joe wonders if they'll always die alone.)

Luckily, this caused Joe to have a latent non-human presentation (because of how much stress they're in)! It's basically a parasitic version of spectator mode where they peel themselves out of their body at their own detriment to bumble around. How fun and healthy. They immediately use this to start monitoring and nudging people into the 'right' direction— also known as the choices they know won't kill them.

We follow Joe's (potential) last loop and how they broke it by getting people to care about them due to their self-neglect. To be fair, it's hard to miss the catatonia... and the identity issues... and the physical deterioration... and the mental deterioration... and— It should've never gotten this bad.

A dishonourable Watcher is the one who got Joe looping because they had Potential(tm)... obviously. Throughout the loops, Joe got to know Jimmy— well, specifically bits and pieces about his job as an errand boy for the Listeners and the joke of the Canary Curse. If Joe has mimic a letter they've never seen and pretend to have this Canary Curse to get Jimmy's attention in a timeline they've never met just for a chance to save everyone, so be it.

So be it.

At this point, they'd do anything not to see anyone else suffer ever again.

Yet another design update of The Kids

So for those of you who don't know, every week Hero Forge adds a new item, or "treasure", to its website for people to use, which means that the options for things you can create expand weekly.

Recently they also came out with the update that makes it so you can fully free design the faces of the characters, instead of just giving you like five bases that all look the same.

These two things combined with the fact that I just bought a pro subscription, make it so that I simply must update the kids.

Liana

Girlypop is slayingggggggg. Obsessed with her new vest, like honestly. The hat, cane, and coat all come from the ringleader set that dropped like a month ago, and the moment I saw them I knew they were perfect for Liana. Gosh she's so dapper

Wes

I was in a call with my new girlfriend when I made him, and I wasn't sure for what his posing should be and she just said "Make him girlypop". I mean I tried. This new hair is like my favorite thing in the world, and it fit him so fucking well, I love it. Also he has big ol´ eyes, cause of course.

Gertrude

Gert's most recent designs have all had a pretty extreme look, with full battle armor and such, so I thought a more casual look would be more fun for once. Never goes anywhere without her mace tho lol. Also new ears!

Johnny

We ran out of western inspired outfits many designs ago, so at this point we are just struggling to stay afloat. Just like with Gert, I thought I'd go with a more casual fit, and the skirt was also my gf's idea. Love the wild hair, and also he now has a crossbow because what's a cowboy without a gun?

Jassy is slaying so hard in all of her designs, I adore the top. That's kinda all I have to say about it lol.

When you buy a pro subscription, you get access to the beta feature that allows you to cast light and shadow on your minis. So Jekiv looks extra dramatic here lol. Also he has a nose now! Love that for him!

Novo

No one quite does it like him honestly. Accordion is another very annoying instrument when you don't know how to play it, so of course it's one of his favorites. Also, the feathers in his hair belongs to Liana! Because they're besties!

Now, as I'd imagine all of you to be wondering, which you should, when do these take place? Because, Hermitcraft and Empires is over, and the kids were stuck on those servers because their codes were all fucked.

Well, this is from "the good ending", where they fix their codes so they can travel between servers freely, and they all move to a new server together, but visit their parents and friends often. It's all sunshine and rainbows, and everyone lived happily ever after.

Is this the canon ending though? Well, who knows. Or I do, but I'm not telling

A Demon in Hermit's Clothing (Hermitcraft)

I realize I didn't post this short fic here on Tumblr, only on AO3, so here it is. Inspired by Cleo announcing the Blood on the Clocktower game (which I still haven't watched)

Summary: Gem wakes in the night. She's ready to kill again.

Etho’s blood is still slowly dripping down the brick from where his body was impaled at the top of the clocktower during the previous night. It stands out particularly well against the moonlight, the dried red dark against the white walls.

Gem creeps out of her house, fog curling around the cobblestone path. She smells blood—whether it’s from Etho or her fellow villagers, she doesn’t know. Her eye twitches and she glances right and left where everyone else is peacefully sleeping. Only the misty moon and low-burning lamp lights cast a glow across town.

Her first day went well; she’s pretty sure she’s sliding under the radar so far. She spoke to Impulse and Pearl first where they all hard-claimed to one another. Of course, with her being the Imp, she was given two bluffs, and Pearl herself was the Spy and therefore knew the entire Grimoire, it was easy to lie to Impulse’s face. Once he left, Pearl quickly recited everyone’s role in the town, some highlights being Cleo the Saint and Grian the Drunk Empath who said Doc and Ren were good, before they separated as to not cause suspicion of talking too long together.

She decided to leave Doc to his own devices for the day, not wanting to seek out her second minion on the first day. Besides, Gem was pretty sure no one was asking Doc about his role, already assuming he wasn’t going to say anything. She would have to speak to him in the morning; she’d like to know who he poisoned.

The sound of a faraway owl has Gem’s hairs on her neck standing up. With no wind, all sounds seem to be magnified.

Gem flexes her fingers, their sharp talons extending into deadly points. The only person she’s truly worried about is False. As the Slayer, all she has to do is accuse Gem of being the Imp and the townsfolk win. But it’s not like Gem can kill False now; there are ten others alive and her death would signal a possible Spy, which Gem certainly doesn’t want.

She thinks back to that evening, where the entire town congregated and began putting together everyone’s first-night information. With Ren the Investigator learning there was a Poisoner in play, Etho’s Washerwoman ghost communicating that either Impulse or Cleo was the Undertaker, Grian the Drunk Empath saying Doc and Cub were good, and Keralis the Librarian learning that a Drunk was in play, there was a lot to chew on. The Drunk really threw a wrench in the system, as nobody knew whose information was reliable. It was utter chaos.

Gem had to resist smiling.

So maybe she should kill one of the only first-night info getters? She really wants to wait to kill Impulse later, when either Pearl, Doc, or Grian, are possibly executed so he won’t figure out their true role, and killing any important role is too risky.

Gem starts in the direction of Cub’s house, nestled in between Grian and False’s. Maybe she can kill two birds with one stone. Cub’s the Mayor and has the chance of not dying. If Cub doesn’t die and it pings off someone else, Gem hopes it will hit an important role. If it hits Scar the Soldier who can’t die by the Imp, Gem’s Monk bluff can be mostly proved. But if Cub dies, Grian’s Drunk Empath powers will reach False (his next living neighbour), and Gem can only hope that False will turn up evil and the town will execute her without Gem having to lay a finger on the Slayer.

Cub’s house is a burgundy, its little chimney puffing out smoke. Gem silently walks up the front ramp and slides one of her talons in the front door’s lock, it clicking open almost instantly.

Inside, the fireplace is slowly dying and the boxy television is on a low volume, playing some sort of movie or show. Trinkets and various other things lay in the cabinet directly to Gem’s left and a collection of snow globes sit on the wooden coffee table in the middle of the living room.

Gem stalks towards Cub’s bedroom. She presses an ear against the door, only hearing the sound of light snoring. Gently, she twists the doorknob and pushes open the door.

Cub’s peacefully asleep in bed. A book is face-down on the nightstand next to him and a pair of fuzzy slippers peek out from beneath the bed frame. The window’s latched shut. As if doing so dissuades Gem from breaking in another way.

She makes quick work of Cub; a quick talon through the heart has him dead in his bed. The metallic smell of blood reaches Gem’s nose, her own heart fluttering with adrenaline and the satisfaction of an easy and decisive kill.

Carefully peeling back the bedsheets, Gem slides her hands under Cub’s neck and knees to lift him up. His body is still warm. She carries him outside, not bothering to close the door.

Then, her bones creak and her ears pop as leathery wings sprout from her back. With a thwump, Gem rockets towards the sky, wind rushing past her ears, her clothes flapping. Her heart thumps rapidly and a grin breaks out on her face.

She hovers over the clocktower where Etho’s body is still skewered by the long metal cross on top of the spire. Here, Gem can see the entire village and the surrounding sea, forests, mountains, and lakes. It’s beautiful, really. It’s too bad she plans to run this place to the ground.

Already, townsfolk are hesitant to trust their information in fear that they’re the Drunk; they’re hesitant to trust for fear that the other person is the Imp or a Minion. Factions are in the process of being made and lines are starting to be drawn. A handful of people are beginning to be suspicious of Cleo since Cub told the group that, after he’d claimed his role to them, they hadn’t returned the favour and had been overall very curt.

Perhaps she should feed into that belief. After all, if Cleo is executed as the Saint, Gem, and her minions, automatically win.

Her wings beating in the air, Gem unceremoniously drops Cub onto the metal cross atop the clocktower, his body making a squelching sound as he’s pierced through the stomach. There’s a slight thumping sound as he lands on top of Etho.

Gem goes back to bed.

What inspired Love Death + Grumbot?

Sorry for sitting on this ask for so long! This was a way harder question to answer than I anticipated, and I apologise in advance for the very long post XD

I started working on LD+G back in January 2023, just after the end of the Hermitcraft/Empires crossover event. I had just finished writing Soulbound, my first fic, and I was itching to start another. And... I was missing Mumbo. Grian was missing him too and Emperor Grumbot was ready to destroy a whole universe just because Mumbo wasn't in it; I was defenceless against the "I miss Mumbo" brainrot.

The initial idea for LD+G was more of a gritty, steampunk, two dudes and their cryptic robot son against the world thing. I wanted to write an apocalypse fic (I've actually got several original novels that are apocalypse/dystopian novels--I am only a little addicted to the genre...), and Cub was doing his whole sculk thing on empires, so it seemed as good a cause for an apocalypse as anything else. You can see all this in the very first notes I ever made for the fic:

But, see, I LOVE zombies. I blame The Last of Us. I'd spent 2022 trying to play through the second game and getting frustrated with its cynical take on the world. It just doesn't feel believable to me that humanity would be at each other's throats. Sure, people are scared and impulsive, but it takes a lot for the average human to hurt another. Our strengths lie in our adaptability and how we support each other in times of need!!

Anyway, once I veered away from steampunk and started down the zombie route, a big inspiration for some of the characters was Hybbart's Rancher Apocalypse AU (I blame them entirely for my Ranchers obsession tbh). They also had some pretty fun ideas about the role of sculk in an apocalypse, and since I come from a biology background, the opportunity to have a symbiosis between zombies and sculk was just SO much fun for me.

So then, why did it become a story about grief? Well... I felt pretty trapped in my personal life at the time, so initially LD+G was both a way to process that and some much-needed escapism. I don't remember exactly when or why I decided that Grian was infected, but I do remember writing like I'd been possessed in early 2023. I wrote a whole list of scenes/moments that I wanted it to contain and then the plot just kinda... fell out of me one day.

To be melodramatic about it, I have written a lot of novels in my life, but none that felt so akin to bleeding out on the page as this one did. I needed to write this story, to have a place to channel my emotions as well as my eternal mcyt brainrot. I wasn't mourning a person, exactly, I was mourning my own perceived lack of agency and trying to gather the strength to end a whole chapter of my life and start anew.

So I wrote about love, I wrote about death.

And I wrote about Grumbot.

A 31 Day art prompt is not an easy thing to do (I know, I've tried completing one for about 10 years) and the fact that you're getting art done everyday right on point (and with school on top of that too, wow! /genuine) makes your dedication even more amazing.

I love your animal depiction of Scar (and his little leg braces), Grian with his wings, and Mumbo and his furry mustache. Your art style and use of colour is very charming and I hope inspiration continues to flow freely from your pen! :)

It's really hard to balance art and college, but art is one of my favorite hobbies and I'm very stubborn :]. My ADD helps too since I tend not to stop on a piece until I'm done, unless its a comic. Then I'll space it out for my own (and my friends') sanity.

Also, I'm gonna be honest, I was VERY nervous about posting my Pawmitcraft and Traffic Paws stuff to the public. I know a lot of people expect human art for the hermits, so posting art of them as animals was a bit nerve wracking for me. I can't draw humans and I didn't want to accidentally annoy people with it. Hermitcraft and its community is a huge comfort for me, so I didn't want to cause any issues for anyone.

But I'm glad I took the risk because I'm enjoying myself and it seems like a lot of people don't mind. And so long as the stuff I draw makes at least one person happy, then it's always 100% worth it to me!

6. What artists inspire you right now?

There is a lot of course, I follow a lot of artists on here in hermitcraft fandom and not and there is SO many talented people. A big one is probably @/wasyago, love their character design, colours and just art in general to pieces! I knew them for a bit even before they made a tumblr acc so it was very cool to see them become better and better through time! ohh its a hard one there is so many. I would just name some or it will go on for a while! @/daftaiyo, @/sss-eriema, @/cosmic-nopedog, @/shepscapades, @/weaselmcdiesel, @/applestruda, @/potionofinstantdamage, @/stiffyck, @/tibby-art, @/aresonist, @/sickcroww30, probably many more but if i was to name all of them it would just. I would spend like two hours on that and i have work to do unfortunately. Anyway, love those peoples to pieces! I may look a bit biased because most of those are my mutuals...... I am just very lucky to have so many such talanted mutuals! )

14. How has your art changed over the years?

This one is hard mostly cause, I think my art changed very gradually? Like i think my style pretty much stayed the same "roundish" as people called it like 4 years ago and now all the same. The biggest change is the skill growth and i think the biggest like, visible change was when i started drawing mcyt and started to draw people with like, actual muscles and normal weight and not tiniest waists ever imagined and just generaly more diverse-looking. For a lot of that i can say thank you to dsmp artists that inspired me at the time, it was a very positive change

15. Biggest artist pet peeve?

When you just feel in your guts that something is wrong with the anatomy on the drawing but don't know what. Like in theory you made everything right anatomically but something is just off.

I feel like I should do a recap for people who dont follow Hermitcraft just becuase of the sheer insanity of whats going on this season.

1. Docm77 is the resident tech-minded Hermit who repeatedly does ABSOLUTE BLACK MAGIC on the Hermitcraft server (which is mostly vanilla aside from a few cosmetic stuff) Some examples he’s done with the help of “The Hivemind” (the minecraft technical community) include: Resetting a chunk in a way that CREATED 8 spawners, used update suppression to have his inventory linked to a storage block so that it was constantly refilling his inventory, making a lightning storm with hundreds of lightning strikes per minute, as well as making the first charged creeper farm (which is why his skin has a creeper face), creating a machine that fires an arrow with a ridiculous amount of speed (thus doing a ridiculous amount of damage) that goes THROUGH blocks and got a pet Enderdragon. Again, all of this in VANILLA minecraft without commands.

2. This season Doc made a 500x500 perimeter where he used whats called a World Eater to clear out a massive space to optimize his farms as well as a massive tunnelbore (automatic mining machine that uses TNT duping)

3. Resident prankster Grian decides to show GoodTimesWithScar the tunnelbore and accidentally causes it to blow up.

4. Doc retaliates the way Doc usually does: By breaking the game. He turns Grian’s massive and decorative portal into a single portal block and covers Scar’s base in unmoving wither skull projectiles.

5. Grian makes a dragon egg scavenger hunt for Zedaph, another hermit, that involves blowing a small hole in Doc’s base to “poke the goat”

6. Doc then lays a trap at MumboJumbo’s base that causes the entrance of Mumbo’s base to blow up after grian kills a zombie wearing a crown (Reward from Mumbo’s recreation of the reddit april fools Button event)

7. Grian then retaliates by building an automatic chicken spawner in Doc’s base and becuase its constantly loaded, it fills the permiter with LITERAL THOUSANDS of chickens

8. Doc and Rendog then cover Grian, Scar’s and Mumbo’s base in duped dragon eggs. Dragoneggs cannot be picked up normally and instead need to be removed ONE AT A TIME using pistons or making them fall on a torch

10. Grian, Mumbo and Scar form a group called “The Buttercups” with a base on the ridge of the perimeter and Grian makes a giant cursive “LIVE LAUGH LOVE” sign on the wall of the perimeter. They also make a massive Buttercup robot called “The Butterbot” to fight Doc’s Goat robot

11. Rendog makes his own minibase hidden under The Buttercup base to spy on them, as well as making a two person Sniffer costume out of minecraft skins, but this plan almost immediately falls apart as Grian mentions putting more “inspirational messages” on Doc’s permiter, causing doc to yell out in a fit of rage

12. The robots fight and the Bottercup blows itself up leaving the goat robot almost completely undamaged UNTIL Doc launches two tnt dropping butterfly robots, which, becuase of a technical error on the buttercups side, ended up blowing the goat robot up

13. Just when things seem like they couldn’t get any crazier, Doc goes on vacation for a bit and Grian decides to use this time to COVER THE WHOLE PERIMETER using over 250,000 dirt blocks, not just placed flat either but TERRAFORMED AND WITH GREENERY PLANTED OVER IT TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE PERIMETER WAS NEVER THERE

14. This was SO much of a monumental task that almost all of the other hermits decided to help out just for chance to be a part of one of the greatest minecraft pranks ever done, leading to the above twitter exchange.

OH YEAH I LOVE MINECRAFT!!! And my roomie watches a lot of Scar! Is that the dude that engineers insane redstone machines?? Cause if so yeah that dude both impresses AND scares me 💀 I love Minecraft a lot and I’ve done simple redstone stuff before but the super detailed massive redstone machines seem so incomprehensible to me LMAO

Also oooo episode 5 👀 I LOVE that one! As someone who’s worked a lot as a custodian I’ve always loved thinking about how the things people throw away can say a lot about them. And as a big horror fan I love when people use niche lil concepts like that as sources of horror. It’s fun!

And in terms of stuff I’d yap about I’m a MASSIVE horror nerd 💀 I loved TMA a LOT cause honestly all of its horror was so creative and unique, it had been such a long time since I heard horror stories that stood out that much. I love a good familiar trope exercise but it’s also always nice to get something fresh! I’d say hold out until episode 11, THATS when some veeerry interesting things start getting brought up ;) -🫎

what do you play on? you're probably thinking of tango or somebody, scar is mainly an amazing builder and v novice at redstone. scar is building a zoo train and has some amazing redwoods at his base, last season scar made scarland!

tango is the creator of the one of the best games of season nine and hermitcraft as a whole, Decked Out 2. it's a v insane redstone game. i only say one of the best games bc so many of the games are v cool and loved but also bc etho's frogger inspired game, "ravager rush" is a v big hit rn

i've mostly worked in stocking jobs. i'm also a horror fan but i get scared easier at stuff. so like if i'm about to go to bed, i won't listen to TMA bc i'm prone to nightmares and i'm more likely to get freaked at night. you're so right about the horror concepts being unique. after episode 3, i recommended the podcast to my sister who's a bigger horror fan.

i'm a big slasher horror fan and love going to the drive in to watch horror movies. i also love bad horror movies like dead and breakfast

some doodle things for the nth au that i've thought up

this was inspired by a different but similar au that i'm currently in the process of writing and it involves all the hermits being invited to x's mansion for whatever reason i'm not sure yet (maybe cause they're all anomalies?)

i was originally planning for this to be a murder mystery before realizing that around half of the hermits are nigh immortal and only a third are human but even then that status is questionable to say the least so it's just a regular old mystery that involves time warps, space anomalies, and xisuma getting a massive headache because of it

also i decided to call it banquet au cause that's what originally was gonna happen but then i turned xisuma into a time warper thing, hopefully i actually come up with content for this rather than let it rot inside my brain but only time will tell
