it’s known that y/l/n’s recent breakup was one that didn’t end happily because of her ex boyfriend’s infidelity. y/l/n made a story a few weeks after the breakup stating “he had three different side pieces during the whole relationship” which left fans absolutely shocked.

her ex has been getting a lot of hate from y/l/n’s fanbase to a point where he blocked his comments. he has been flaunting around his new girlfriend since the breakup all while texting y/l/n to take him back which we saw because y/l/n posted their messages on her story as seen above.

however, her next story was one with lando norris which was captioned “my saviour fr” which many speculated it was a mention to norris supporting y/l/n during the breakup and defending her from hate comments that she received. she then made a story showing she was at the miami grand prix.

norris and y/l/n have been best friends for quite a while now and many always thought that they’d end up together, however, neither of them have announced anything about their relationship.

in recent times, norris has been so called ‘flirting’ with y/l/n in her instagram comments which has left both their fans going crazy.

he had a boyish grin on his face as he looked at her, “what? can’t tell people that my girl- oh sorry best friend looks good right now?”

“you just exposed our relationship. we agreed to wait three months before saying something.” she spoke softly, standing up as she placed her phone down on the coach.

“I can’t wait that long. I want everyone to know that after eight years you are finally my girlfriend.” he says with a smile as he shrugs his shoulders.

“you’re an idiot.” she replied as she tried to hold a serious face which soon fell into a blushing smile the more she looked at him.

“yeah but i’m your idiot.” he says smugly as he pulls her onto his lap to straddle him.

she places her arms around his neck and rests her forehead against his as she strokes the back of his head whilst he keeps his hands on her hips, using his thumb to lightly stroke her hip.

they stay in silence for a few more moments, letting themselves enjoy a rare peaceful moment before she breaks the silence, “I am really proud of you lan, you really deserved that win today.” she says softly, looking into his eyes.

“thank you baby.” he smiles.

You ever think about how weird the connections Akako and Shinichi have to each other? She calls him some form of magic user when talking about him the first time to Kaito.( Seen both witch and magus of light and I prefer the latter because there’s a lot fun you can have with that, including the fact he taught his first year friends to start a fire with light.) They are both underscored with the same leitmotif in Magic Kaito 1412 there’s the joke in the manga that the “set” for their houses are the same and how is Shinichi familiar enough with her to know what she looks like and is a witch?(Ova 1. No it being a dream does not make it any less weird. Arguably makes it more so.)

Ohhhh that’s a lot of coincidences! Especially the bit about their musical scores, I think those are some of the most interesting storytelling details! Yknow what’s also another coincidence between the two? Witches like akako can’t cry cause they lose their powers, and a certain someone else was confirmed by Gosho as never crying…

Would be extremely funny if Conan had impressive magical abilities this whole time that he doesn’t use cause he is simply disinterested in them

Las Vegas, NV

“So you’re coming to the twins' party tonight?” 

“Absolutely not.” Airielle immediately answered with an eye roll, as the two of them sat backstage watching Josh and Jon’s match against the Mysterio’s. “I will give Jon his gift tho, before my flight back to Pensacola.” 

“What about Josh?” 

“What about him?” Airielle responded back, glaring at Trinity, who had a smirk on her face. 

“Sis, we got the plane tickets together.” Again, Airielle rolled her eyes. 

“Well you and Jon can take Jayla and Jaden, since y’all now have two extra tickets.” Airielle said, pulling the envelope out of her bag and handing it to Trinity. 

“Airielle come-on now..” 

“Or You can give it to Josh and he can give the other ticket to Yara or whatever, I don’t care.”  Trinity gave Airielle a look. “I do not care.” She said standing up from her seat. 

“No” Trinity whined as Airielle started to walk away. “Don’t leave me!”  Airielle stuck her tongue out and continued on her way. She was relieved to finally have the plane tickets out of her possession. They were causing way more anxiety than necessary.

She and Trinity had decided to plan their partners (at the time) birthday together and since Josh had shown his whole ass for her birthday she thought it was only right for her to do the same. Josh had mentioned how he wanted to go to Turks & Caicos. She had splurged on the best private villa for her and Josh to stay. Even though they were supposed to be with Trin & Jon the couples had their own private entry to the villa and would only have to see each other when they wanted to. 

Airielle was so deep in her thought she didn’t see Angel Garza as he stood in front of her, trying to get her attention. She let out a “oof” as they collided. 

“Mierda!” He said as he grabbed his arms to steady her so she wouldn’t topple over in her heels. “Are you okay?” He asked her and she nodded. 

. “Yes I'm fine Angel. I should watch where I'm going.” She said and he laughed.  

“You know princesa,” Angel started, as he pulled her closer to him. “I’ve seen movies like this.” She furrowed her eyebrows at him. 

“Movies? What are you talking about?” 

“Cómo se dice uh.. meet-cute.” 

“A meet-cute?”  

“Yeah, you know, boy and girl run into each other, girl falls in love boy- “ 

“Boy gets his ass whopped if he don’t get the fuck on.” Josh cut him off and he slid in between Angel and Airielle mean muggin’ the hell outta Angel. 

“Oh my god” Airielle muttered, slapping her hand on her forehead. 

“Get the fuck on.” Josh said again after Angel didn’t move. It was then Airielle noticed the camera crew that had their cameras trained on the three of them and she cursed. She forgot the Total Divas crew were following the cast around today. 

“Josh, stop.” She whispered, gripping the back of his shirt when he went to advance towards Angel. “It’s cameras filming you.”  Angel smirked at Josh, waived at Airielle and continued on his way.  

“Wassup man? I’ve been calling you for days.” Airielle rolled her eyes. 

“We have nothing to talk about.” She stated, crossing her arms over her chest and cutting her eyes over to the camera crew, who were still recording them. 

“You said you weren’t mad at me.”  Josh said, as he stepped in front of her when she tried to walk around him. 

“Yeah, well I lied, Joshua. I’m pissed off and I just want to be left alone.” 

“So why didn’t you answer the phone so we could talk about it Airielle? Oh my god She thought as she looked over to the camera crew again, knowing they were definitely going to use this footage. 

“Because there is nothing to talk about.” She huffed out. 

“Us. We can talk about us.” 

“There is no us anymore Joshua.” He scoffed. 

“And whose fault is that? We were rocking strong Rih. I ask you to move in with me and you do a whole 360. Probably could’ve been engaged by now and shit.” 

“That's the problem.” She hissed, pushing him away from her. “You wanna move way to fuckin fast Josh. 5 months and you wanted to move in together! Is that not crazy as hell?” 

“You so damn selfish,” He stated. “It’s always about how you feel or what you think. What about me? Do you have any idea of how much it hurt me to see you with Raymond and then to catch you kissing him after you said y’all weren't together.” 

Airielle felt like shit now. Even though she shouldn’t because she left Raymond alone until she saw Josh with Yara.  

“Yo, y’all good?” Josh and Airielle broke their staring contest to look over at Jon and Trin who had just walked up on them. 

“I have to go.” Airielle muttered as she walked away from them, Josh tried to follow her but Jon stopped him. 

“She always running.”  She heard Josh tell Jon and Trin before she ducked into an empty room in the arena. She let out a shaky breath and leaded against the door. She knew she had fucked up by kissing Raymond but Josh had done the unthinkable…the unforgivable by sleeping with Yara. 

Trinity 💚: pleaseeeeeeeee  Trinity 💚: im begging on my hands and knees here! To Trinity 💚: lemme see. 

Airielle let out a laugh as her phone started ringing with a facetime call. She answered and started laughing harder at what she saw. 

Jon and Trinity had their cheeks pressed together and they both were pouting at the phone. “Please” They both begged at the same time. 

“I don’t wanna be the only bad bitch here ,Airielle.”  Airielle let out a giggle and rolled her eyes. 

“Look at how you got my lil bro’” Jon said as he snatched the phone out of Trin’s hands and flipped the camera to show a dejected looking Josh. “Lil Uce keep looking towards the door to see if you comin’”  Airielle couldn’t help but bite her bottom lip as she took him in. He was looking real good, she almost got up to put some clothes on - NO! Her inner voice yelled at her. He had sex with Yara, fuck him! 

“He could be looking for Yara.” Airielle mumbled, and she heard Jon suck his teeth before he flipped the camera back to himself. 

“Sis be forreal.” Jon slurred. “Yara is here and before you say anything, Uce ain’t paying her no mind. I mean zero.” She let out another laugh when Trinity held up the hand gesture for zero behind Jon’s head. “So getcho’ ass down here and come cheer my brother up!” 

“ No you did not!” She heard Jon yell out as she walked into their section. She watched Josh do a double take, his jaw dropping open as he took in her outfit. 

“Happy Birthday!” Airielle said as she handed Jon a gift bag. Josh looked like he expected a gift too, but when she walked past him and towards Trinity and Mercedes, he sunk back down into his seat. 

“Yay!” Trinity and Mercedes cheered, pulling Airielle into a hug. “Girl you look hot as hell!” 

“I said cheer him up, not give him a heart attack.” Jon giggled. 

“Y’all drunk as hell, lemme catch up!”  Jon yelled out drink orders and Airielle made her way to the bar to order them. 

“First of all, do you see what she’s wearing?” Josh heard Yara ask but like Jon said, he was paying her no mind. “Her whole ass is out!”  Josh gritted his teeth as he watched Airielle lean on the bar top to point at something and he stood up, ignoring Yara calling his name and marched over to Airielle. 

“Damn,” Her whistled lowly as he walked closer to her, no shame in his game as he eyed her body. “You look good.” He whispered into her ear as he boxed her in between the bar and his body, while he flagged down the bartender for her.  “You know it’s my birthday too. Where my present at?”  

Airielle snorted but didn’t turn around to face him. “Don’t you got a girlfriend to go be with or something. Why you over here bothering me?”  She thanked the bartender but before she could grab the tray of drinks, Josh grabbed it and with his other hand he laced his fingers with hers, leading her back over to the section. 

Yara watched with narrowed eyes as Josh sat down next to Airielle. He had been ignoring her all night and Yara was about to put a stop to it. Josh was her man now.  

“Joshy, come on, let's dance.” Airielle snorted and choked on her drink at Yara’s nickname for Josh. She cut her eyes over at Josh who had his eyes closed and was shaking his head. That’s exactly what he gets. Airielle thought just as Thot Shit by Megan Thee Stallion started blasting through the club. 

“This my jam y’all!” Trinity yelled, grabbing Airielle and Mercedes hands and pulling them towards the dance floor.  Josh was in a trance as he watched Airielle out on the dance floor. Mesmerized by the way she moved her body to the beat. He had to get his girl back ASAP. 

Four songs and three more shots later Airielle pulled herself away from the dancefloor to rush towards the bathroom. As she was coming out she bumped into Josh who was obviously waiting for her as he leaned  against the wall. 

 “Where ya little girlfriend at?” She asked, looking around.  He chuckled and walked closer to her. 

“I’m looking at her.”  Airielle rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. “You wore this for me?” He asked as he dragged his eyes, slowing up her body. 

“Josh please.” She said as she rolled her eyes again and tried to walk around him but he stepped in front of her, and started to slowly back her into the wall. He slowly leaned into her and watched how she let out a gasp at how close he was getting. 

Before she could say anything, their lips connected. She felt him moan into her mouth and she tilted her head to be able to kiss him back.   his hands  now gripping her hips while her arms wrapped around his neck. His tongue exploring the inside of her mouth. He broke the kiss and slid his hands to rest just above her ass. He rested his forehead against hers 

“I’m sorry alright, I was hurt and angry and I should've never took it there with Yara. I don’t want us to be like this anymore. I want you. Only you.”

Rules for how my Omegaverse works for the Aventio au because I don’t like how others write it (so my picky ass will resolve it myself)

Some mentions of SA because unfortunately it comes with the trope

-Beta’s are basically just normal humans, far less attuned to things than alphas/omegas, but they can be turned into alphas/omegas through difficult/unnatural means, although not by other alphas/omegas without consent, have a similar mechanic to what omegas have (you shall see). Blade is an omega bc of whatever the hell happened to him but originally he was a beta 

-omegas still have heats- but the desire to submit to alphas is able to be controlled even inside of heats, although it’s very difficult of course, it just requires mental fortitude. It’s even easier for pathstriders 

-omegas have a lot of trouble getting pregnant before getting mated, but after it’s fair easier, especially if you’re the mate of an omega, while it’s virtually impossible for non-mates

-omegas can refuse mating bites, and if they do, the offending alpha will die (they can naturally poison their own blood, which is toxic to anyone but the omega themselves, unique to each omega), however this organ can be removed surgically and in some cultures they do (it’s framed as a bad, archaic practice). Nevertheless, this is often why people wait to be married before going through with a mating bite, bc being killed by refusal is only prosecutable by law after marriage in most places 

-alphas can use their scent/pheromones/whatever to influence others, especially omegas, but it’s frowned upon and not entirely effective because with enough willpower anyone can resist. However it works against more weak willed individuals, and even subtly against people who aren’t even part of the omegaverse at all (you will see in the next point)

-since hsr has so many different species of person, many are just normal people outside of the omegaverse entirely, like characters from Belabog/Xianzhou don’t have any of that stuff 

-Ratio, Aventurine, Black Swan, Acheron, Blade,  the Trailblazers, March 7th, Sunday, Robin, Boothill, the people from their respective planets (just Halovians for Penacony) and the Amphoreus characters do though 

-Aventurine + the rest of the Avgin + Sigonians are unique bc their pheromones can even affect people with no distinctions at all, it’s part of their bad reputation/stereotypes in the galaxy, really it’s not as strong as their enemies make it out to be, and most would never abuse it unless in desperate situations 

-also comes with a thing I’ve seen in other fanfics that’s called alpha voice I think? It’s unique to him + other alpha Sigonians + strong pathstriders + emanator alphas where they can basically command other people, but again it’s rarely used especially by him because Aventurine isn’t a piece of shit 

-the IPC was aware of this which is why they made it so the people they sent to enslave the Sigonians a) had no distinctions b) turned off their synthesia beacons c) wore filtration masks

-the reason I’m adding this is because Aventurine is going to use it on Ratio for reasons we will both find out (because I haven’t thought of why yet, I just like the ideas) but won’t involve non-con at all I promise 

-currently I’m thinking Aventurine gets mad/upset/worried/whatever and uses the alpha voice unconsciously to basically tell Ratio off, resulting in him submitting which will be a whole mess 

-at this point ppl w these traits are common enough that those without have learned to synthesize things to use with/against them, like replicating alpha pheromones or something, which can cause problems and has led to strict regulations of them by the IPC

-suppressants still exist, and because I like this trope (well more like it’s useful), they don’t permanently harm alphas/omega’s by using them, but they slowly make their users feel worse and worse, and can be fatal with over use, they also make any ensuing heat/rut stronger after being off them, this is the only time it becomes practically impossible for alphas/omegas to circumnavigate their instincts, and can lead to problems 

-Therefore it’s rarely recommended for people to be on them forever, and if individuals really hate their instincts they can get surgery to remove their mating gland (back of the neck, I didn’t specify before but that’s where others put it, not gonna fix what isn’t broken) to suppress the effects of being an alpha/omega, although it can’t remove them completely. This also tends to make people infertile, which is why the procedure is often frowned upon/undesirable, bc as annoying as heats/ruts can be, most still want kids 

-Everyone regardless of sex is a hermaphrodite and presenting is what changes their anatomy, how? It kinda just gets absorbed into the body the day of presentation. Which is a) funny b) means nobody has to deal with stray organs everywhere c) it’s a cop out hahahaha also betas retain both 

- Black Swan is an alpha and so is Acheron (mmm alpha x alpha) I’ll figure out how that works later lmao

-Boothill, Blade, Caelus, Ratio, Topaz and Sunday are omegas (as they should be)

-March is a beta, Stelle is a beta, Robin and Aventurine are also alphas

-not sure if I wanna make Stelle and Caelus coexist in this or not 

-Can you tell I don't like the rapey elements of the genre and I hate when ppl write omegas like they are weak and can’t resist at all. I get it’s fun for horny stuff but honestly it just annoys and disgusts me more than anything. If that’s your cup of tea then go ahead, but I am not a fan of it at all unfortunately 

-Nesting has always been an interesting concept for me. I think I’ll keep the elements of it that involve omegas surrounding themselves w the scents of their desired alphas, and just precious belongings in general 

-I’ll make an alpha version of this where the scent of their desired omega can calm them down and provide them comfort during ruts

-similar for omegas where the pain (but not the horniness) of heats goes away if near desired alpha

-by “desired ___” I mean crush/mate if you don’t fuck with someone (in a metaphorical sense although literally this can also be true) they cannot help you 

-foxians aren’t part of the omegaverse but they have heightened senses so they can tell when someone’s going through heats/ruts/stuff which is why a lot of doctors specializing in this stuff are foxians 

-people present at 18-20 

-none of that kits/pups/litter shit sorry not my thing at all, also I feel like it dehumanizes the potential children like dude those are human beings not dogs 

-Way less of the strict gender rules, no omegas can’t do this alphas should go that kinda stuff, I don’t want omega’s to be seen as significantly weaker than alphas/they should mostly balance each other out. However as stated prior alphas can absolutely influence people, especially omegas which can result in very interesting problems, however they do have means of fighting back (the poison + personal willpower)

-However the willpower required to resist is a lot/its very hard in general. Most people in universe do not blame omegas for giving into their instincts, although there are plenty of victim blamers, just like in reality unfortunately

Welcome to Liyue

Zhongli / Venti / Xiao

a/n: a silly little idea I had written down so decided to upload it.

Zhongli was troubled.

He was sat at his desk within the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor with his frown directed out of his office window, towards the night sky. A disturbance, he could sense but due to his work schedule, he could not investigate the problem himself.

But there was someone who could do so for him.

“Xiao. Could you come here for a moment?”

Barely a second passes by before the small adeptus was before him, bowed as expected of him. “Yes, my lord. What is it that you need?”

“You can start by referring to me as Zhongli, as agreed.” Zhongli smiled, no real bite behind his words but said as a friendly reminder.

“Force of habit.” Xiao raised his head from his respectful bow. “My apologies.”

“None needed. I’ve called upon you for a small favor,” The Geo Archon stepped up from his chair to walk towards the window, Xiao’s eyes following his movements. “As I’m sure you’re also aware, there seems to be a disturbance within Liyue Harbor.”

“Yes. I can also sense it.”

“And am I correct in assuming you know the cause of this disturbance?” Zhongli’s head peered back over his shoulder towards the smaller male.

“Lord Barbatos. It would appear he is visiting from Mondstadt and is most likely somewhere inebriated within Liyue Harbor.” Xiao explained, causing a sigh to emit from Zhongli.

“Most likely, indeed. I can smell the alcohol consumption from here,” with a deep sigh, he closed his eyes. Zhongli was a man who valued order and decorum above all else and knowing full well what the Anemo Archon was like in his drunken state, it was a recipe for chaos. “I am not due to finish my work shift for another hour, so I am unable to deal with this situation myself. At least, not until more damage has been done.”

He turns to Xiao, who had a knowing expression of the question to follow, the young Adeptus gave another bow at the silent order.

“I shall retrieve him for you. Is there somewhere you would like me to take him? I doubt he would be able to make it back to Mondstadt tonight.”

“Indeed. Perhaps you could spare him your room at the Wangshu Inn? I will make my way over after my work is complete for the day.” Zhongli returned to his desk and took a seat, looking over some documents that needed his attention before the day had concluded.

“Of course, my lor- Uh,” Xiao catches himself, much to the amusement of the Geo user. “Zhongli…” he finishes, before teleporting out of Zhongli’s office.

He knows Xiao is one of the only ones capable of dealing with the bard and it put the man’s mind at ease knowing Barbatos would be off the streets and in a safer environment. With that clarity, he could finish his work in peace.

The workday had finally ended and after bidding a good night to Director Hu, Zhongli made his way over to Wangshu Inn as per his word. He hadn’t seen Barbatos for a while, so this unannounced visit was very unexpected, and Zhongli had many questions for the travelling bard. He hoped the mischievous Archon wasn’t given Xiao too much of a hard time.

He didn’t even need to ask which room they were currently in, as Barbatos’ loud laughter could be heard down the corridors of the Inn, much to the disturbance of other guests. With an apologetic glance to Verr Goldet who looked unamused, he silently made his way to Xiao’s room.   

“Xiaooo- just one more! Please!”

Zhongli frowned at those words and paused to mentally prepare himself before entering the room. He didn’t know what he expected to see, but Xiao sitting his body weight on top of the Anemo Archon’s back was not on the list. Zhongli blinked at the sight.

“Well, hello there!” Venti greeted, gleefully. “Don’t mind us, we were just negotiating.”

“Is that so?” Zhongli questioned, noting the odd shade of red that sat upon Xiao’s cheeks. “What was it that you were negotiating, if I may ask?”

“He wanted more wine, which I refused. He then proceeded to attack me.”

This made Venti laugh out loud from underneath him. “I didn’t attack you! I didn’t attack him,” he confirmed again to Zhongli, who was still very confused. “I tried tickling him, but he freaked out and that’s how I ended up here.”

“I see.”

Xiao seemed to flush slightly at Venti’s words, his arms folded, and eyes darted away from making any eye contact with anyone.

“Barbatos, this visit is most unexpec-”

“Ah! It’s Venti now, remember?” He held up his finger to interrupt.

“Venti. What is the purpose of your visit?” Zhongli asked, losing patience and jumping straight to the point.

“I felt like visiting an old friend. An old Geo Archon friend who doesn’t return my mail or accept my invites to Mondstadt festivals,” Venti’s smile through his passive aggressiveness caused Zhongli to sigh.

“Yet, you avoided coming to me directly and instead chose to get drunk among the Harbor.”

“Hey, I’m a bard! I had some stories to share, and they had some wine to share in return. How could I possibly say no?”

“When exactly did you plan to visit me during your little drunken stop? If I hadn’t sensed your disruption, I wouldn’t have been able to send Xiao to retrieve you.”  Zhongli took a seat on the spare chair that Xiao had situated in the corner of the small room.

“Ehe, I would have gotten around to it eventually,” Venti then reached back to the Adeptus who still had him pinned and gave his side a playful pinch. “Also, you should teach this one that throwing guests over their shoulder like a sack of potatoes isn’t good etiquette.”

Xiao flinched at the contact. “You refused to follow quietly, so I had no choice. As an Archon, you should have more respect for yourself.”

“Aw, Xiao, don’t be so grumpy!” Venti complained again and that mischievous glint reappeared in his eye. Xiao’s eyes narrowed, challenging the Archon to try it again and see what happens.

“I would advise against provoking him, Barbatos.” Zhongli commented from the chair, knowing there was no real way of stopping what was to come. But hopefully seeing Xiao put Venti in his place will ease his headache.

“It’s Venti!” and with that, the Anemo Archon uses his gust of wind to push Xiao off him with enough reaction time to pounce the Adeptus, his fingers immediately squeezing Xiao’s sides with childish laughter. “Now behold, as I spread joy to your grumpy Adeptus!”

Xiao was stunned by the speed of the Archon despite his drunken state, his movements were unpredictable and quick Xiao couldn’t coordinate against the fingers at his sides, and then his ribs and then his stomach.

Zhongli could see the panic in Xiao’s eyes and could only imagine the amount of resistance he was trying to give against the laughter. He watched with amusement. After all, Xiao did need to laugh more in Zhongli’s opinion, given the life he has lived. So, he watched as Venti mercilessly tickled him before getting up and making a pot of tea for them all.

“Z-Zhongli!” Xiao strained, his fang biting his lip to desperately stop the laughter threatening to escape. “M-Make him s-stop!”

“You and I both know that he will not stop unless he hears you laugh, little bird. Why not just give in to it now so that we can move past this quicker?” Zhongli smiled down at the struggling Adeptus, stirring the tea in his cup.

“B-But.. AH!” Xiao yelped as he felt Venti’s mischievous and ticklish fingers contact his bare skin.

There was the laughter, a beautiful and rare sound indeed.

“STAHAHAP!”

“Oh, Xiao, your laughter sounds so pure and bright. The world deserves to hear it more, all through the night.”

Ah yes, a true poet indeed, Zhongli smiled into his tea. “So, my old friend. Is there anything else you would like to do on this visit? Aside from getting drunk and torturing my Adepti, of course.”   

Venti hummed in thought, not stopping his playful assault. “I wouldn’t mind taking a visit up to mountains, like the old days. Or maybe you could show me around the city some more? It’s been so long! I barely recognised my way around.”

“It has been some time, yes. I will see if Director Hu can allow me some time off during this visit. However, in the future, I would advise letting me know in advance to not inconvenience her.”

Venti scribbled his fingers all over Xiao’s tummy, laughing at his mirth before acknowledging Zhongli’s words. “Well, you never responded to me, so how was I to know?”

“A fair point. I will make sure to check in and respond more often, as well. I have been busy with trying to adjust to my new way of life, I seemed to have lost track of other matters.” Zhongli said over Xiao’s laughter.

“No kidding!” Venti pouted. “I’m hurt that you could just ignore me like that!”

“Speaking of ignoring,” Zhongli smiled and pointed down to the laughing Adeptus. “Perhaps you should stop ignoring his pleas, and give him a rest?”

“Huh? Oh!” Venti giggled, almost forgetting that Xiao had begged for mercy almost ten times already.

“T-Thank… you.” Xiao greedily breathed in air, his cheeks tinted with a mixture of pink and red, it wasn’t long before his glare returned up towards the Anemo Archon, who gulped.

“I think I’m in danger…”

“It would appear so. I did advise against it, you know? And because of your disruptions today I have no intention of stopping him.”

“Xiaooo, we can talk about this right?”

Xiao recovered his stamina and lunged. Venti’s cry for help falling on deaf ears.

“Welcome to Liyue, Barbatos.”

The home, or bunker of sorts, was dusty. Abandoned by previous users. It had a hole on the top of it with a dull light shining through the vines, and loose dirt falling into the base.

That shine of light was warm compared to the coldness of the underground. It felt nice to just stand there, basking in whatever light shined through, moon or sun.

Sometimes, I wished that it would blind me. Blind me of the horrors that turned the fake truth of my dreams into the reality I’ve seen before my eyes.

It hurts, every time to wake up with a beating heart full of fear, and sudden loneliness. It hurt, when the knight took his place. Trying to comfort my nightmares with the warmth of his body, and his soft coos whispering in my ear when he was the one who caused it.

I really didn’t know what to think of the knight who called himself “Solor.” I wanted to hate him for leaving me trapped in this abandoned bunker. I wanted to hate him for killing Hydra, but it was hard to do so, for long anyways.

He always lived up to his word, and duty of being a knight. He was patient, never lashing out when I wanted him to- expecting him to. His tone would drop a little in a warning, but never more than an yell. He wasn’t pushy unless he had to be. It was frustrating.

I wanted him to break. I wanted to crack that facade of duty. I wanted to see what he’d look like when he was distraught; just like I was.

I’d deny some of his food that I still don’t know if he cooks, or steals it from. Sometimes even throwing it into a wall if I was emotionally unstable at that moment, really expecting him to rush at me for that, be he never did. He’ll just sigh, and get me another plate.

If I’d refuse to go somewhere with him he’d “encourage” me to get out of the bunker, and have some sunlight with him by my side, but I’d just lay there in the makeshift bed of cloths that felt rich on my skin. Hoping that he would just leave me alone. Instead, he’ll just pick me up in his arms, take me out there, and take a stroll with me in his arms around the bunker. That I did take advantage to form a possible escape.

“I was wondering where you went, my lady.” Solor spoke, his eyes observing my form beneath the light that shone through the vines.

I opened my eyes a little, giving him a side eye before a huff escaped my lips. I knew that was a lie, he always knows where I was. It’s not like I could go far anyways without him a step behind.

He hummed before he spoke again. “I have brought you something, my lady.” His gauntlets extending out a rectangle shape.

Looking at this shape more. It was an old fantasy book. Its cover leather, and papers are stained. Just how old was this? Did he steal it?

“It appeared that I needed to get you something since that phone of yours is…unavailable.” Solor said, I gave him an deadpanned stare.

That’s because you threw it half across the world the first time I’d tried using it. I could hear it shatter to pieces somewhere.

Do I really need the book? I’ve kept myself occupied with other types of books I have found wandering this bunker, but this one would be a better read.

His eyes widened a little before he obeyed. Dropping down to the concrete ground on one knee. His armor cracking the floor.

My heart beated in my chest, unsure now as the Knight who kidnapped me stood kneeling before me. Pure, white eyes looking at me with such curiosity, and dedication. It was weirdly odd.

What if I hand a knife to his throat? What would happen then? Would he accept that death, or would he yank it out of my hands?

Carefully placing my hands on the sides of his head. His skin was surprisingly smooth while being scared. His cheek carrying a scar going inward to his nose. Another scar up between his white eyebrows. His jawline, strong, and chiseled.

He was undeniably attractive, probably would have made it to be a “the hottest guy” if he wasn’t a Gray Knight.

“If you prefer to stare. I wouldn’t mind that either.” Solor suddenly spoke, his head nuzzling into the palm of my hand with a grin.

A bit embarrassed to be so obvious on staring at him, a burn erupted on my cheeks. My eyes narrowing at him.

Giving him a quick kiss on his forehead, he looked surprised as I quickly took my leave. Cheeks on fire now.

A muffled noise came out of my mouth, his lips on mine that were surprisingly gentle, and soft while his tongue slipped inside my mouth, taking the advantage of my surprise.

His strong, woody, vanilla scent wrapped around me like some sort of drug. I was almost confused about what was happening right now.

“There’s that proper kiss.” Solor stated, leaning back from me. His eyes half lidded as he looked at my shocked form, another grin growing on his lips.

I have been on this tag since day one and the majority of the posts and blogs I've seen adore Louis. Pointing out canonical traits like him actively lying in Canon books and now the show as well is not being hateful or disrespectful. Saying episode 5 and the whole tale infact being revisited is Not fans of lestat being apologists. It is what Anne Rice canonically did with the Vampire Lestat and the books that followed. Louis is loved widely in this tag. Lestat is being hated on as a result of the villainous portrayal in season 1 which again Canonically is a tale (not a true one) being told both in books and in the show. A lot of people however took it too far with the lestat hate and started calling anyone who liked him names and then people starting to fight back and the rest is how we got to here. If there is no understanding to fans of both characters the two most loved characters in the show -who at the end of the series canonically end up together- then what the hell is the point of being in this Fandom in the first place? Please don't take this as a personal attack it wasn't meant as one but as another person's experience and thoughts of the fandom so far.

I’m going to be honest I find this very hard to believe that it was only just about liking Lestat.

I’ve gotten more hate and vitriol from Lestat fans ever since I’ve joined this fandom. I’ve never talked bad about his character and I make it very clear on my blog that I love him and that he’s my favorite character both in the show and in the books. And yet, because I calmly engaged with a popular blog’s theory about episode 5; everyday I wake up to hate in my inbox that I have to delete. Lestat fans have been nothing but disrespectful to me for no reason.

Im a Lestat fan myself and I talk about how much I love him all the time it seems and I haven’t been once called a racist. I’ve had anons accusing me of hating Lestat but never ones accusing me of racism. This is the second time someone has told me that Lestat fans are bullied for liking him when all I’ve seen and experienced thus far is the exact opposite which begs the question: Is it really because you like Lestat or is it something deeper that other people picked up on but not you yourself? 3. How is anyone’s rational response as a human to someone calling them racist for liking Lestat is to deny the systemic oppression of black people? This is the main thing that doesn’t make a lick of sense to me. How did we go from, “Users were attacked for liking Lestat” to “So a bunch of blogs are now starting to agree with and talk about how reverse racism is real.” I’ve gotten attacked for liking characters before and my reaction to that is blocking whoever is causing trouble and ignoring them. I got harassed to hell and back in the Voltron fandom for defending and liking Allura and never at any point was I thinking about how affirmative action is the real systematic evil plaguing society. If this kind of thinking was always in the back of certain people’s head as they were analyzing the show then it’s safe to say that people weren’t mad at them just because they liked Lestat. You can not properly analyze a show where a black man talks about how he was systematically oppressed for being black when you don’t even believe in systemic oppression yourself. How can you sit down and watch this show where Louis is constantly being put down by the white people around him, where he has to pretend to be his husband’s chauffeur, where you see white people burning a black neighborhood, where Louis and Claudia cant even sit next to Lestat and have to sit at the back of the bus and come out of it thinking that reverse racism exists in our society? Louis is the age of a lot of black people’s great grandfather, what he went through was not that long ago and the society he lives is still alive today.

4. What purpose would it serve narratively to have Louis and Claudia lie about episode 5? I’m leaving this question here because the last time I tried to have this discussion it led to anons hounding me.

Vampires were blood-thirsty, irritating and extremely beautiful. Though, not like you fell in love with the looks of those monsters. Okay, well, they aren’t all monsters, but you’ve encountered far too many murderous vampires to trust a new one quickly. Which is why when you realised the Cullens were in Forks, you were constantly on guard and definitely avoiding them.

Most vampires can’t control their thirst, or desire for human blood. The Cullens obviously can with their ‘vegetarian’ diet. However, even vampires with extreme self-control have difficulty simply being around witches because of their rare blood. That was why whenever you were near Dr. Cullen, you tried to go the complete other way, sometimes not to subtly.

Seeing as yours and Dr. Cullen’s careers often had close contact with each other, the whole avoiding thing was stressful to do sometimes. When you couldn’t get away, or if you stood too close, you could see how his demeanour shift. Others didn’t notice, but being raised around supernatural beings and being a therapist, you noticed those types if things.

You had been on your way to Dr. Cullen’s office, much to your dismay and many, many excuses. You had been fiddling with the files that you had to bring to him, you’d been dreading being in a room alone with him - specifically with a vampire.

Taking a breath, you knocked on his door one, two, three times and waited for him to let you in. When you hear the somewhat faint ‘come in’, you nodded slightly to yourself and opened the door.

You cleared your throat before you talked, causing him to look up at you, ah there’s that change in demeanour, “Sorry to disturb you, Dr. Cullen.”

He shook his head slightly and gave a soft smile, “Don’t worry about that, do you need something?”

You nodded your head, silently praying to anything that this extremely beautiful man wouldn’t go for your throat, “Yes, I’ve got a file here. A patient of yours that was given to me, but it isn’t psychology, it’s medical.”

He opened his mouth and made a small ‘Ah’ sound, “My mistake, I should have seen that.”

You shook you’re head, “No, no, it’s fine I would have made the same mistake too.”

This should have been the time where you took your leave and returned to scheduling appointments and taking phone calls. However you stayed put.

Confusion clouded Dr. Cullen’s face, “Is there anything else?”

You took a moment to think, looked behind you and closed the office door, turned back and then nodded, “I’m sorry I’ve been close to you. I know how it is difficult for vampires to be around Witches.”

For a moment, there was complete silence, then he chuckled. Chuckled. This man laughed at you.

“You’ve caused me no discomfort, Y/n.” Dr. Cullen simply said, “I always thought that I should have been the one to avoid you, given our kind’s… History with one another.”

“Oh.” Was all you could manage out, “Then why do you shift every time I walk into a room?”

“Why do you?” He asked.

You let out a soft, quick laugh, “Well, seems like our whole relationship is built on misunderstandings.”

He nodded, a smile plastered on his lips, “It seems it is.”

You shook your head, mostly at your own idiocy, and laughed once more before looking up at up Dr. Cullen, “Well, then, I suppose I don’t have to pretend to walk on eggshells when I’m around you.”

He shook his head too, “I suppose I do not have to do the same either.”

i’m leaving tumblr, and here’s why (with receipts):

so i’ve recently been informed that i’ve been accused of being anti-black by @ava-du-mortain. this person is blocked but they have watched my blog for years, made multiple posts about me, but also started going into the direct messages of people who interact with me calling me racist.

firstly: i am not anti-black. i’m not racist. or at least i try my best not to be, and correct behaviors that are. please read this post in full before making assumptions about me.

(and for the record: i am not, and never have been, @songofsoma, but pap seems to be accrediting some of her posts to me (as seen above). she is her own autonomous person who has made apologies and will make her own response to this on her own blog.)

i have never ever engaged in arguing with pap out of hope they would leave me alone (block and move on is my motto) but this has continued, so i feel the need to now since the harassment has gotten so extreme and ended so many relationships. already pap has also gone to the lengths to message two separate artists that i have commissioned and paid money to. this has caused these artists to either cancel their commissions, block, or unfollow me (though both refunded me and were very kind in their parting). i covered their users to protect them from harassment.

in addition, a ton of mutuals have unfollowed me and deleted my art from their blog. i hope it’s a knee jerk reaction to such a terrible accusation. and i hope they’ll read my side of the story below.

now for the accusations which have apparently warranted this level of stalking and harassment in response from pap:

first accusation: i spoke over poc voices.

my response: in october of 2022, pap was involved in harassing a small blog run by a POC for saying that nate was manipulative. this person romanced nate. it wasn’t a hate post.

for days, people in pap’s circle continued posting about them, and they were dogpiled by this friend group even after they apologized. as the dogpiling continued, i stepped in as a white person with a larger platform than them. i asked for their permission to step in and defend them. they agreed and thanked me.

this was the post i made:

i wasn’t trying to speak over anyone. i was using my platform to speak up in defense of a POC who was being bashed for talking about a POC character. however, i shouldn’t have done this. because whatever my intentions, ultimately i am a white person and it’s not my discourse to comment on. i was speaking out of turn. i’ve talked to POC friends since and they’ve told me this as well, and i listened to both them and pap, and i haven’t done anything like that again. so i’m genuinely very sorry, it was in poor taste, and i hope the fact that sort of behavior hasn’t repeated reflects the sincerity of that.

second accusation: in chapter 9 my fic, wants and wishes, they say i falsely accused felix of assaulting a white woman and then had him violently assaulted.

my response: this is, frankly, the most baffling accusation to me.

in chapter 9 of wants and wishes, frankie has a hickey on her neck from adam. when this is pointed out, adam deflects and says it could have been one of the other three members of unit bravo. the three boys begin to argue about who, other than adam, is most likely to have given her a hickey. at one point during the argument mason grabs felix by the shirt.

so a hickey that adam gave frankie and then tries to blame on the other members of unit bravo has been described as felix, a black man, being accused of choking frankie, a white woman. and mason grabbing felix by the shirt has been described as a violent assault. i really don’t know what to say about this, other than, to my knowledge, no one who has ever read wants and wishes has interpreted this chapter as that. including people of color.

i encourage you to read this chapter for yourself and then decide if it’s a black man being accused of assaulting a white woman and being violently assaulted rather than taking pap’s word. they linked the chapter but i don’t know how many people actually read it as opposed to just believing it.

also, what baffles me further: worse things happen to f in the games than having their shirt grabbed by mason? like, the fights with the trappers? getting injured in book 2? and murphy, who pap writes fanfiction about, actually violently attacks f and throws them into a wall so hard they can’t get back up in book one. but to my knowledge, pap has never called mishka out for writing a black man being violently assaulted, just me for having mason grab his shirt.

third accusation: i called a black person aggressive

my response: four years ago in the fall of 2019, i made an online friend. we were on and off talking for months, in the same servers, and shared some oc stuff together.

sometimes friendships don’t work. it happens with teenagers. i told them that me and some people found the jokes they made about other people’s OCs mean in nature.

i’m sensitive, i have autism, i take things literally by accident sometimes. i’ve grown up a lot since then, but when i was 18/19, if someone called my character stupid i wouldn’t realize it was a joke, and i would get hurt. when i communicated this, my friend disagreed that their jokes were mean. we stopped talking. later, i was accused of playing into the aggressive black stereotype by pap.

i was trying to communicate a boundary that i felt had been crossed in our friendship. i do not remember calling them aggressive, i haven’t seen any screenshots of me calling them aggressive, but this was years ago in 2021. i do know i called them mean for sure. possibly rude too.

i’m 22 now, i’ve been in therapy and learned about social scripts for autism, and if i were to be presented with this situation again i think i would handle explaining my feelings and setting my boundaries better. using words like mean aren’t a good way to set a boundary, they just make people defensive. but ultimately i can’t go back in time to when i was 19, so all i can do is grow from it and not do it again. and i haven’t.

and i doubt this past friend wants to talk to me, but i’m going to unblock them on discord if they want to me to make a personal apology to them for that. i’m not going to apologize to pap, the grown person who was not involved in this conflict between teenagers.

when people of color began pointing out stretches in pap’s evidence against me, they deleted the comments and made this post, telling the non-black POC who disagreed with them and defended me to straight up die.

so take that as you will.

i’ve made mistakes but i’ve never told any person who disagrees with me to die, even as a joke. that’s genuinely so fucked to do to another human when you don’t know what’s going on behind the screen.

conclusion: i really don’t understand why pap feels the need to go to such extremes over what happened in 2021 between me and someone who isn’t even them, or why they lied about the choking in that wants and wishes chapter. however i acknowledge my wrongdoing in involving myself in the race discourse surrounded nate, and again i apologize. truly, sincerely, deeply.

pap obviously doesn’t want me to grow from this situation or acknowledge that i might have since i was 19. but i’m going to try to anyway. fortunately i have POC friends both online and in real life who will call me out when i make mistakes like that nate post, and allow me to make amends and improve. and ultimately it’s their opinions that matter to me—not pap’s, or strangers online who have never met me.

you can believe i’m anti-black and unfollow me if you want. i understand. do whatever you need to feel safe in this space. that’s why i’ve been trying to do by avoiding this pap. i hope now that i’ve responded like they’ve wanted me to for years it will stop, but i doubt it. i’m sure they will tear this post apart in a response and call it insincere. there’s not really a point since i won’t be seeing it.

i don’t know if i’m ever returning. i love making wayhaven art but it’s just not worth it to stay in this environment.

this whole thing with pap on tumblr has started to affect me in my real life. in february i started being treated by a therapist for five years of childhood sexual abuse from my father and i was using wayhaven as an unhealthy distraction from it. that’s why i wasn’t responding to the hate in my inboxes or the posts pap made. i’m in a fragile state and people around me were advising me not to because of that. but each time i ignored them their behavior would escalate, and now their messaging everyone i know that i’m racist and to not interact with me. it’s been really triggering in a lot of ways because i was shunned from my family when i tried to speak up and wasn’t believed. so i’m going to do what pap won’t and stop seeking out what’s having such a profoundly negative impact on me.

iwtv ep 1 rewatch thoughts

[i am eating Popeyes right now and i promise didn’t plan it this way, but seeds were planted so here we are.]

first things first we [the viewers] are introduced to our two time Pulitzer Prize winning professor Daniel Malloy. We all come to this course with a variety of understandings of the topic just like in any other course. Right off the bat he’s telling us of his expertise in a pervious recording and at the same time we witness his visible skepticism of his own claims in the more nuanced present setting. if you think he’s the only reliable character it’s very much being challenged in the first few moments, which i’m sure has been pointed out many, many times.

he flips the channel there’s a war happening (clue about where we’re at in terms of timeline?? idk. i’ve only engaged with AMCverse so maybe?) and flips it again and the fantastical is going to become a reality. he just has to put the pieces he doesn’t have together so he sits down to do a puzzle (a devils minion easter egg apparently) and he’ll get those pieces by accepting the extended invitation sent to him by none other than Louis de Pointe du Lac, which picks up from his mail box after trying to fit missing pieces together. very solid intro.

Daniel: Why get any closer to the bug than i need to?

he says before he gets on an international flight and exposes himself to countless risks. It’s what he does tho right? i’ve seen a couple sc of the books where he describes Armand as looking like an insect. he is not put off by getting close to perceived bugs. Its funny tho as he’s asking the question, he’s unboxing the answer—louis’ handwritten invitation—as to what would be worth risking your life for right above the devils minion easter egg.

Louis definitely clinging to threads of the past. in 2020 he’s sending hand written letters (on papers with Lestat’s initials) instead of emails and original cassette recordings instead of digital recordings. A lot if not all of his threads to humanity are threads to the past (“in my day” old headass) since right now he seemingly doesn’t really have any connection to humanity in the modern time. being an out of touch billionaire will do that to you, on top of being a century old vampire.

I think thats another evil that gets overlooked when some of y’all are looking for “he’s just as bad” reasons to pin on him. Instead of the imaginary he bit claudia before bringing her to Lestat…like…in addition to his pimping he’s literally a billionaire. like its right there. that encapsulates the worst ways to exist in this world. he the manpire of humanity as well like…

which i guess is goes into the many faces of violence that fade to the background and don’t get called out enough. violence isn’t alway brutality and i noticed just this past couple of days people only see violence when it’s in tandem with brutality, but im not about to sit here and lecture y’all cause that’s not at all fun. and thats why im doing this. bc its fun. i just think this show does a wonderful job of showing the spectrum of violence and evil and i think you do a great disservice to what they have done here if you’re only seeing those things from one angle. and i think thats one of the reasons why so many people struggle with Lestat and don’t appreciate how masterfully (no pun intended) he’s been crafted bc you don’t recognize those things [violence and evil] anywhere else in the story as being as bad.

if thats Daniels box of the past he doesn’t have much kids stuff, just a pink stuffed animal and a bike helmet, so i wonder how much of his kids lives he’s really missed. Like it doesn’t even seem like there was a joint custody situation where they spent a great deal of time at his home as well. idk maybe he has things in storage. but i’m curious about that and how that parallels with how louis let his own child down as has been pointed out.

ngl he look tf good while he listening back to this tape 😩😅 someone zoomed in on his muscle flexing when he pressed play and i just want to say to you i agree wholeheartedly with you whoever you are.

If this is a way to get Lestat’s attention, which I think it can be said is a part of why this second interview is happening given the papers Louis chose to write the invitation on, I think its very pointed that Louis is introducing himself as a keeper of knowledge considering one of his (possible*) final moments with lestat as pointed out here.

one of the last things Lestat ever did before he was poisoned, had his neck sliced, and was dumped in a garbage yard to feed on rats, was humiliate Louis about his love of books and claim the role of the knowledge keeper in their family. I think its a very pointed message that this is a book (especially with all the mediums available in 2020), of course Louis loves books, but also Lestat has beef with books lol (Between Gabrielle and Louis). If there’s anyway to get a rise out him (hehe) its a book where Louis is identified as the knowledge keeper of the immortal life Lestat gave to him. and it’s written by a savory inferior as well. louis could have written the book himself. God knows he has the skill, time and the access to do it so that was intentional. Lestat gone drop through the ceiling of the dubai penthouse in a rage.

*possible final moments bc we don’t know yet if Louis has seen Lestat since Paris etc. etc. which i think he will see him in paris bc of Rolins “can’t burn him twice” comment, but i’m open to being wrong.

i haven’t pointed out anything that hasn’t been discussed extensively, but this is a verrryy solid opening introduction to the show. right off jump they established this to be a well crafted episode.

i need yall to know right now that as we go forward in this episode i cannot be held accountable for who i become when faced with brown eyed louis’ fine self. you’ve seen it yourselves please don’t hold this against me!!!! i am not god’s strongest soldier! i am weak at the knees! i will buckle! i will fold!

Last few night’s dreams were like an entire fucking anime arc man: a recounting

DATE: JULY 14/15, 2023

Ok, so I’ve been having some weird and intense ass dreams lately that have been kinda-sorta connected in a weird way. Mostly because they all have this fucker as a main antagonist/villain in some way:

Basically, his motivations/schemes were pretty similar to Elias’s shenanigans from back in the day (I haven’t seen him or “Dream” in my dreams for a while now and have assumed they were either captured or killed by the multiverse’s higher ups for their meddling, thank god amirite?).

The whole story behind him and why he’s after me in a nutshell is that he apparently has this one sided crush/obsession with the Peppino from his timeline, but was heartbroken after finding out Pep actually hates his guts the hard way (ie, getting the shit beat outta him in the game’s ending). So instead of, y’know, getting over it and moving on like a normal person, our old “pal” Tontino decided to kidnap someone, use some kinda weird black magic to transform them into Peppino, and basically just hold them hostage for the rest of their days. And UNFORTUNATELY for me, I just so happened to be the “someone” he (seemingly randomly) chose for this plan B of sorts. (Note: I’ve managed to escape his imprisonment several times, but the persistent bastard KEEPS. COMING. BACK. I HATE IT.)

I remember the context for how he got his hands on the weird black magic/curse stuff was that he made this pact of sorts with these ghost/demon creatures from another, fantasy-style verse known as The Dark Ones, who ended up appearing in the second or third dream I had featuring him along with their rivals/good counterparts, The Spirits.

Now, the actual anime arc-type shit started in the 4th PH dream where he was made by the Dark Ones to find some kinda ancient relic called the InfraStone which was supposed to have immense magical power as part of their deal/pact…only for the stone to possess him once he found it.

This incident led to him going mad from the stone’s power and betraying and absorbing the Dark Ones, which only added to his newfound power. The rest of the dream was me kinda-sorta teaming up with The Spirits and some other magic users to stop his rampage and free the Dark Ones from his control.

Now, as if this saga couldn’t get complicated enough, there was a part 2 to this 4th dream.

Part 2 took place several months after the possession incident, since part 1 The Dark Ones and The Spirits have seemingly made peace with each other and I (or at least the self I had control of in that dream) ended up living with the magic people that assisted me and the Spirits in a sorta found family of sorts. At this point, it’s been quite a bit since anyone in the fantasy verse had seen or heard of PH’s shenanigans and he was assumed to have fled from there back to the PT verse.

Nope, not in the slightest. Shit was just getting started.

Turns out PH was busy making what I can only describe as Pizza Tower 2: Electric Boogaloo in order to have his “revenge” against me and maybe try to capture me again. I remember that since the old bosses from the game were still in the PT fictoverse completely unaware of PH’s current whereabouts, the “bosses” in the second Pizza Tower were basically innocent people from the fantasy verse PH kidnapped and transformed/mutated into horrifying amalgamations that had slight resemblances to the original bosses. (I have no fucking idea how he did this since the Dark Ones have revoked there pact with him since the possession incident, for good reasons ngl) When he finally revealed the whole shebang, I remember my first instinct was to nope outta there as fast as I could (something I’m quite good at in my dreams, but could never do irl cause I’m out of shape af) only for him to catch up to me a LOT faster than humanly possible if I’m being honest. Upon being caught, he did the whole turning me into Peppino thing again, saying I wouldn’t be able to be turned back until I faced him in the tower. (Which I was probably gonna have to do anyway to save the other people he cursed and get his ass outta that verse for good.) I think there was also this catch where if I took too long to complete the Tower, the Peppino TF curse would start affecting my mind as well, mentally turning me into him as well as physically, leaving nothing left of me (or at least that version of me) behind, but my brain might’ve just made that up after the fact for the sake of drama/angst.

The dream basically ended there so idk if I succeeded in conquering the tower and freeing everyone trapped in it, but considering PH has barely showed up in my dreams since then, I think I was able to make it.

So yeah, another dream recounted. Hope you enjoyed, might make more drawing stuff of this dream in the future if I feel like it :)

So, I think it’s time to reevaluate Claude in light of the analysis I’ve been doing. I know I’m going to take some flack for this, but I don’t think Hopes!Claude was meant as a retcon. I think that, due to the “quality” of the writing in Houses, Claude didn’t come out of the oven the way he was supposed to. That the “pure good guy” Claude was a happy accident, while Hopes!Claude is closer to how he was meant to be. The “villain you couldn’t hate.” I think the problems with the execution in Houses amount to two things, that joining Claude would result in a hero path for him due to his own character growth in addition to how people misinterpreted what his issue was.

Most people assumed Claude’s issue was one of ignorance. That he was this guy who comes to Fodlan, knows nothing about it, begins saying that Fodlan needs to change only for his ignorance to be called out in his own route. He learns the truth, reevaluates his positions, and ends up achieving his own form of Enlightenment. He never really does anything too villainous in other routes either, so this must be the problem. Right?

Recently, I’ve been talking about how Claude’s personal classes reveal the truth. He’s a wyvern lord, a guy atop of a lesser dragon. He’s somewhere between dragon and snake. The former represents enlightenment, the latter the poison/flame of hatred or aversion. Claude is also a bow user despite being a flyer, meaning he’s his own worst enemy. And with that in mind, it becomes pretty clear.

Claude dislikes the Church of Seiros, believing it’s the reason Fodlan isn’t so welcoming to foreigners. Specifically, they commissioned a fort to keep the Almyrans out, something that resulted in Almyrans viewing the people of Fodlan as cowards. While Claude has been shown to be able to admit he was wrong when presented with new data, usually through his supports, that is tied to a route where Claude begins working with the Church, becomes more open to the idea of some form of deity, empathizes with Rhea, and ends up believing that Rhea’s work must be carried on. This is presented with the implication that Claude undergoes his own enlightenment during Verdant Wind, resulting in someone who will help reshape Fodlan and Almyra. It is Claude taking up the mantle of the dragon.

I feel if you take this into consideration, Claude’s actions in other routes start taking on a new light. He doesn’t get over his prejudice against the Church in Silver Snow, uses the Church to retake the Great Bridge, causing the Church to suffer casualties that they need a month to recouperate while he then goes off marching to Gronder. He gets his ass kicked, survives according to Word of God only to leave Fodlan and the Alliance behind to rot. When he gets his ass kicked in Flower, he still arranged things so the people of the Alliance would back down and be spared. When he was getting ready to leave in Moon, he set up the Alliance rejoining the Kingdom and handed over his relic. In Silver Snow, he leaves nothing for the Church.

Then there’s his whole neutral stance, Claude is someone who talks a big game about how bad it is people are othered and how we need to accept others and their differences. That, despite Claude’s own aversion to religion. Edelgard declares war on the Church after everything seen in White Clouds, Claude isn’t looking out for a group being persecuted. He just tries to stay out of the fight. And when he does have to fight, he knows so little about Fodlan he assumes that the people his country views as cowards would run away and save themselves, not fight to the bitter end. It doesn’t even matter the fact that Claude outright calls Edelgard’s regime one of “military rule,” or how in Hopes she props up her own Church. He’ll still hand over the Alliance and leave if he can’t win, provided the player doesn’t opt to kill him, but he won’t hand it over to the Church.

Hopes and White Clouds being stopped in it’s tracks messes with Claude’s development. There is no Remire. No monster experiments. No Lonato, or trying to steal Relics. None of that shit. It’s just Edelgard declares war on the Church, invades the Alliance to take the Great Bridge in order to march on Garreg Mach, then tries to take over the capital.  While the invasion of the Alliance can be held against her, and is if Byleth isn’t recruited in Scarlet Blaze, Edelgard is still doing so in order to get rid of a group Claude doesn’t like and wants gone himself. Claude wants the Church gone.

Claude wants a genocide. Not against the Nabateans, but the Church itself. And is willing to work with Edelgard in order to accomplish this, provided the Empire isn’t setting itself on fire under Thales’ control. What’s more, Wildfire represents Claude losing himself further to his hatred after having to kill his brother, something he never wanted to do, because said brother rejected him due to his mixed-race heritage. From there, Darth Claude’s habit of playing dirty comes out more than ever, willing to drag more and more groups into the war just because he wants Rhea and the Church gone.

Claude wants to tell himself he’s the good guy here, but his shadow calls him out on pretending to be the good guy. Likewise, he also talks about how if Rhea is killed Edelgard will lose her justification for the war and unless she wants to be seen as the bad guy will stop. I feel like these both indicate that Claude is aware of how bad his actions actually are, but he wants his own acts to be seen as right. His hatred towards the Church has made him turn away from the truth, just like in his support where Dimitri easily points out flaws in what Claude is planning and how it’ll put him in danger only for Claude to end the discussion.

Least, that’s what I’m getting right now looking at everything. Yet despite this, this only makes me like Claude even more. I mean, it’s the same reason why the Eagles are my favorite class, that without Byleth they become the villains. Really makes Byleth’s impact on their lives be known, in addition to making Verdant Wind stand out more for it’s character growth. Claude goes from someone who wants the Church to be wiped out, in spite of his ideals I might add, to someone who has to face off against the guy who committed a genocide against Rhea’s people. That after Solon tried to manipulate him into fighting against Rhea like TWSITD are implied to have done with Edelgard, Claude rejects their influence and takes out her out alongside Nemesis. That Claude gets Rhea’s side of the story and realizes how she’s been othered herself, how she’s an outsider just like him, and what he wanted to do to her. Claude sees how wrong he was and how his hatred blinded him to the truth, and in the end becomes a better person for letting it go resulting in not only Fodlan changing but Almyra as well.

Claude’s growth is deeper than we realized.

But this is just my attempt at trying to rationalize what Hopes did. Make of it what you will. Cheers.
