Nine Lives on both sides

 @catsgotyourtongue​ wants an autograph!

A vacation, that’s what he needed. that’s originally what Des decided when he came to Gotham, but it was a cesspool of crime and villainy; and eventually he made himself at home in the dark side of this grim city. That’s when he met her, Catwoman.

And he was hot pursuit on her tail...meteorically speaking. He bound from building to building chasing her.  “Come out Cat, if you’re low on cash you can just take out a loan.” A brow raised as he followed behind her.  Eventually he cut her off at the pass and got himself ready to throw down with her once again if need be. Tale as old as time was the hero fighting the villain. A confident smile spread on his face as he awaited her attack or beratement.

April 6, 2022- The "Diver's Delight" Fish Factory- Location: The Gotham Docks- Gotham City, New Jersey.

“You insufferable little…” Exclaimed the former international smuggler and crime lord, known as “Tiger Shark.”

Ever since Minhkhoa Khan. AKA, “Ghost-Maker”; and Batman Inc. severely diminished his international smuggling operations, he was forced to align with one of Gotham’s resident crime lords and do work, as one of his new enforcers- which Tiger Shark viewed as “beneath him.”

Especially; since he didn’t like his new boss and vice-versa.

One example; was the new “uniform”, Tiger Shark was forced to wear.

It was a semi-baggy diving suit; fashioned from a hazmat suit and large pieces of hard rubber and soft polyvinyl chloride- the same material used for waterbeds.

The colors were black, bright orange and canary yellow- with black tiger stripes painted on the orange parts-, and the suit itself came with brass-plated, hi-tech and clawed gauntlet gloves, knee-high diving boots, shoulder, elbow and knee pads, a brass utility belt, a matching hi-tech vest- with burnt orange straps on each side, mimicking tiger stripes-, and a matching diving pack with a black shark fin.

Shaggy orange, black and yellow fur trims; outlined the gloves, boots, pads and the neck hole of the vest.

But what made it really stand out; was the hi-tech and mechanical helmet that was the size of a mascot’s head and modeled after that of a realistic and ferocious Hammerhead Shark.

Its colors were bright orange and white with black tiger stripes- mostly from the tiger pelt coverings, its mechanical eyes were glowing yellow and its mouth was filled with rotating razor sharp teeth and was able to open and close, at will.

Finally; he wore a small set of brass holsters and sheaths filled with hi-tech deep-sea weapons and a fishing net, wrapped around his torso.

Tiger Shark; was fighting none other than former villain-turned anti-hero: Selina Kyle. AKA, “Catwoman.”

He tried slashing at her with a pair of dual Kingfisher machetes, while trying to take a bite out of her, with his mechanical helmet- but to no avail.

His life was perpetual loneliness, eternal isolation in ice. He had been left to fend for himself since he was a child....

The ice wrapping around his heart even as a young boy, watching his parents turn their backs to him. Walking away as he was dragged into a prison for unwanted children....never returning for him.

His only warmth coming from Nora....his angel. His queen. Sitting alone, forgotten in his icy world, he held his snowglobe of Nora close.

Her happy face, dancing in a world of ice....the only thing he had left of a world he had been banished from.

But he knew he wasn't alone. He wasn't stupid.

" Come down, Selina. I know you're here."

His voice as cold and dispassionate as ever.

Warm Touch

“Five million dollars. Also Batman isn’t gonna like me or the people I work with.” The SAS Captain replied to the thief. Batman maybe dark and brutal but one wrong move around him like putting a bullet in a thug’s head will lead to him getting locked up in Blackgate alongside Garrick and Riley. This Catwoman is a little more grey.

​Selena had been contacted to meet with some soldier type whom she hadn’t heard of before. What shocked her the most was at the fact that she was contacted specifically. It put her on edge as it was but she figured she’d go through with a meeting at least. Worst came to worst she’d bail if she got wrong vibes, she was going to be in control of the situation so she had set for a time and a place to meet. An abandoned construction site that gave her plenty of spaces to hid and observe before showing herself, for all she knew it could be a trap from one of her many, various enemies. As she watched the man show up to their meeting spot on time she stayed hidden before revealing herself. 

“You sure are punctual, just like Bats you know?” She chuckled, walking up slowly, assessing the man in front of her. “Sorry for all the secrecy, not many people contact me and frankly it could have been a trap.” She purred, stopping a few feet away from him. “I’m Catwoman, and you are?” She inquired, a grin being the only true part of her face showing, goggles covering her eyes.

“Captain John Price and I’m the wrong person to be compared to Batman though. There’s one who’s a lot like him, wears a mask as well.” The SAS Captain said arms crossed in the process. Gotham has been on a watchlist since day one since there would arms dealing here alongside other domestic terrorist activity, he’s surprised that there hasn’t been a mission to put a bullet in any of the psycho’s heads yet. But Selina seems to be trustworthy….for now.

“I need your help on something. There’s been Cartel activity and it links back here.”

“I never said you were just like the Batman, just compared how punctual you are, not a minute early or a minute late to this meeting. Plus Bats isn’t British.” She chuckled, listening on as he explained why he needed her help. It was strange why he wanted her help and not a hero’s help. then again her status as not being a hero was probably a likely reason.

“Oh the Cartel?” a laugh escaped Selina’s lips. “I don’t think you’d need my help, if they’re here in Gotham now, the Mob is more likely to take care of them for encroaching on their turf. Though I assume you already know that and you and your government goons don’t want that outcome do you?”

“I have to ask why should I help you? There’s nothing in this for me. No money, no cat.” She stated simply. She had no stakes in stopping this Cartel, in fact she could probably steal more from them directly than what this Captain could even offer her.
