making LEAPS and BOUNDS with the feral kitten!! tonight I managed to slowly move her food onto my lap to encourage her to put her paws on me while she ate, and once that clicked, she kept kneading on my hands and my legs. I've already broken the seal w/ being able to touch her, but getting HER to touch ME seems huge, I think she's been really needing that, since I don't know how long it's been since she's been around her family. wooo progress!!! p.s. I don't have any pictures yet, bc whenever I'm with her, I'm playing a youtube video of cat purrs / trills to calm her down, and if I go to take a picture it'll pause the video. but I WILL take a picture of her soon!

He’s a business man, and clearly the Vees all teamed up (at least initially) because it helps elevate their status and power spread, they may be friendly with each other but we as an audience don’t actually know if there’s more to it as of now. okay so i lied abt being done talking abt ro. cause the thing is i dont doubt that he has people who care for him, im not saying that nobody cares— if he asked his team, zam, mapicc, or like derap to play the server w him theyd do it. if he were banned, zam would revive him bc i dont think jumper or rek have the materials to do so. but i still consider him alone bc whenever he is able to login its just him. which is the entire issue, i think.

and i actually. think thats smt mapicc understands abt him, and i dont know if anyone else does. cause ro doesnt LIKE being alone, he doesnt like playing the server alone, he likes following his friends around and doing things w them for the sake of being around them— which is why him being w rek and jumper is a bit difficult for someone like him imo. theyre very independent teammates and enjoy doing their own projects, but ro likes doing projects WITH people and spending time together, which is why he seems so isolated from even his own teammates to me. and i think thats what mapicc meant when he was defending ro by pointing out that rek and jumper arent active, even though theyre considerably more active than ro himself is.

like i know im yapping a lot abt such a small piece of dialogue, but i thought of all of this bc of mapicc saying "Where is his team, y'know? // Yeah but where?"

the entire reason im talking sm is bc people (on the server at least) seem to think he does so much with/for mapicc in s5 and s6 simply bc its mapicc and no other reason at all— and while yes, its true that ro is very attached to him— i also think part of it is bc in both s5 and s6 his teams were there. but they also werent. not in the way ro needed them to be.

they werent there in the way ro needed them to be bc they dont know how he works or what exactly it is he wants/needs in a team like mapicc seems to. ro being so willing to turn his back on seemingly anyone for mapicc isnt JUST bc of bias even if thats a large part of it— its bc mapicc understands how he works in a way others just dont seem to be able to, and he knows how to make sure ro has the most fun in a team yk? like he understands that ro likes to do things together for the fun of it, for the sake of spending time together regardless of the outcome bc a big thing for mapicc is spending time together as well.

its why i think ro immediately went to mapicc abt pentar wanting him, and offered to help in the war despite having very little he CAN do w how poor he is on the server. it was finally something he could do w other people (people he already knows he has fun w, at that!!) even if it was a war he realistically knew very little abt and had like no stakes in. bc he likes being involved and working w other people a lot, but theres nobody he really has to do that with yet this season bc his teammates are busy, his friends have other people, and hes too busy to be able to play enough to find new people he could work on things with.

Morgan Elsbeth pleads for Thrawn to return and reignite the Empire and he's just like "those bitches? Fuck em. Ezzie and I started a band, we play Jizz music on Wednesdays. What I desperately needed to see in season two was KC coaching the three new meifwas how to be meifwas. Giving them advice and stuff about how to take proper care of their fur or their ears, how to sit in a chair so their tails don't bunch up, how to differentiate these new stronger smells and sounds, how to hold their ears or tails to display different emotions to other meifwas, how to act around others of your kind, how to act around those that aren't, etc. Little things could go a long way

This literally could have been like half an episode or so where we got a meifwa crash course, it would have been good for the characters and for the viewers. We could have gotten some vital information about tu'la and meifwas that could have been so interesting

literally the easiest way to make someone care about a character and make them feel well-rounded beyond basic traits like personality, sexuality, ethnicity, etc, is to give them an actual character arc, and it’s shocking how many people do not seem to fully realize this

you cannot just cram a bunch of tropes. tropes are not the main event, they are tools to tell the story you wish to tell. emotional impact comes from the lead up, so you can’t just jump ahead and expect the payoff to work. “I want this character to just ___ already!” but they’re not there yet. that’s where the arc comes in - how do they get there?

and! most importantly, and this is something I really want people to think about when writing - the most important relationship your character should have, always, is with the world and society around them. defining your character purely through their interactions with other characters are, I find, how a lot of female characters end up feeling flat or not engaging with the themes as much as the male characters, and also how queer and non-white characters wind up as devices for other characters’ development instead of being more fleshed out
